Help With Picture Order

I have scanned into iPhoto, in random order, the proverbial shoeboxes full of negatives. Then I created five albums and placed each of the pictures into the appropriate album. The next step was to arrange the photos in each album into chronological order. I then created a Smart Album and put the five albums into it so I could burn them onto a DVD. The problem is that when I put the albums into the Smart Album the pictures revert to the order in which they were scanned. I cannot stop that from happening, nor can I rearrange them once they are in the Smart Album. Any suggestions or solutions would be appreciated. Thanks JPS

Actually the Smart album can be set up as Album is Album1, Album2, etc., thus including all of the 5 albums.

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier versions) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. There are versions that are compatible with iPhoto 5, 6, 7 and 8 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. Just put the application in the Dock and click on it whenever you want to backup the dB file. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.
NOTE: The new rebuild option in iPhoto 09 (v. 8.0.2), Rebuild the iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup" makes this tip obsolete.

Need help with pictures on an external HDD and windows labtop to Ipad3

Hallo everybody!
This week (I finally) bought an Ipad 3 and an Apple TV!
For the time being I still have a windows labtop and an external HDD full with photo's.
The ICloud software for windows has been installed because I would like to stream the pictures from this external HDD to my Ipad and then ofcourse on my flatscreen TV (via Apple TV). And ofcourse back, when I have taken a photo or a movie on the Ipad 3.
I would appreciate some help with the following questions:
do I have add all pictures from the HDD into a new map on the windows labtop. So that via Icloud the contain could become 'in the cloud'.
or do I have to add all the pictures from the HDD into the Itunes map on the windows labtop.
I have connected the Ipad to the windows labtop and via Itunes I have synchroniced a lot of pictures to the Ipad. I asume these are copies? And is it possible to remove them from the Ipad, because it will take a lot of memory (currently already 35 GB from the 64 GB).
Well I hope somebody could help me.

I just found out that ICloud isen't really a storage place for photo's. Just a passing throw station to your other devices.

Help with an order form

I'm a newbie to javascript and need help with the simplest way to create an order form. The fields required are Order No., Description, Unit, Price, Quantity and Total. The user would enter an order number which would automatically complete the Description, Unit and Price fields. I have 448 products on the order form.

There are a few things to consider first:
Where is the data coming from? Will the form connect to a database?
Is the data in an XML file?
Will it be OK to hard wire the data into the form? This is harder to maintain.
448 is a lot of codes for the user to process. Can these be split into groups, so that one dropdown with 10 options, would populate second with say 40 options.
What you are looking for is possible, but will require some scripting to get it to work and will probably require maintenance going forward.
Maybe a bit more info would help,

LSMW - Need help with Sales Order (Modification VA01)

I need help with an LSMW for Sales Order (VA01).
I need to do the following:
1. Copy the Standard Sales Order LSMW
2. They (users) would like to be able to pick the batch (lot) from the sales order.
3. Also, they would like to have functionality, where from the list of Sales Order numbers, they would be able to switch one part number for another.
Please help with the above 3 needs.

Just only you need to consider the BDC program needs to read afile with all informations to create a sales order, so you have to create a program to prepare a file arraged as RVINVB10 needs, the documentaion explains how the file has to be created.

Need some help with pictures

Hi,
I need some help to try to understand some of my issues; i'm creating a catalogue for a company and i'm uploading TIFFs pictures (600 of them). My problem is that this catalogue is both for print and web but is getting really heavy as a file, is there another way to convert all the pictures and maintain the quality for print and a reasonable size for web?
I'm uploading TIFFs because i need the transparency and i can't upload as PNG...
Can someone help me please.

Choose either file size (for web) or image quality (for print). Something has to give.
This "for web" business, is that still a PDF? Then export for print with full resolution, and export another version to put online where yo adjust the export settings for the web until image quality is worse than having a megabyte or two more.

Help with pictures stuck in Elements 7

I have my sons birth pictures on an old lap top and was trying to back them up to a thumb drive.As I was bakcing up, I noticed several years missing in My Pictures, so I started looking in Elements 7. Three years of photos (about 10,000) show up in Elements, but I can't seem to get them to do anything. It tells me I need to reconnect them any time I want to transfer or send them to a storage, but there are no files to connect to. I long ago erased the memory cards and no longer have the original photos. How can I get them to show up to transfer to the thumb drive? These are really important pictures to me and my wife. If you can help me I would really appreciate it!!

When you imported them into the Organizer's catalog, did you do that with the PSE command, File > Get Photos > From Camera or Card Reader? I may have the phrasing a bit off, but I think it's close to that.
If you did that, the default is to Copy the pictures from the loaded card. On the other hand if you had upoaded the pictures using the From Files and Folders option, there are more possibilites for where they went and whether or not they were copied to your PC, or just using the Organizer to inventory your card and generating thumbnails the pictures.
Try this, use the Windows search to look for a couple of the picctures you know should be on your PC. The search bar is found by pressing the Start button on your desktop. If Windows finds the images, you will most likely find where the images re stored onyour commputer, and can then use PSE's Reconnect commnd to fix your Catalog.

Help with picture deleting on web site

I recently changed a video clip on my blog page and replaced it with a new one.The problem is that although i thought i deleted it, It now shows up on the lower portion of the screen when i access the web page....It does not appear on the iweb blog page, so I cannot delete it again.The question is "Do I have to delete the whole page and start again or is there a way of deleting it off the website while online?" Any help would be greatly appreciated.Oh yes and It usually doesnt appear on the first hit on the blog page, It is there when I access it the second time.

I do see what you are talking about and it does not seem to be a cache issue. Here is a screenshot of the offending pic....
The strange thing is that it doesn't stay put. I can minimize the browser window and when I bring it back up it disappears....but it reappears as soon as I start scrolling the window again. I cannot reproduce the problem in FireFox...only in Safari. This could be related to the QT video.
I guess I would recommend doing a "Publish All to .Mac" in order to lay your site files down all at once....get the gremlins out of the system. Another suggestion I'd like to make to you is to run your video clip through iSquint to make it playable while it is downloading (so you don't sit there waiting with the big Q logo). Noob needs help with pictures

higuys i dont really know anything about photoshop but what im looking for is a guide to layer 2 pictures over each other..the first picture is of a car and the second is of an alloy wheel,what i want is to be able to move the picture of the alloy onto the picture of the car so i can see what the wheel looks like on the car.any help appreciated

UMM I think he needs to select and cut out just the WHEELS and apply to the
car picture

there are many techniques and many tutorials
basically once you got the wheel selected just open car image and drag the
selection over the other picture (or copy/paste)
then use edit>transform to resize or change perspective to fit
if the wheel is the same for front and back
drag wheel layer to the paper icon to dupe it and use move tool to place
over other wheel
save the layered doc as PSD in case you need to edit
and use save as.. or save for web to make a flattened copy

I am currently trying to get information on a purchase order, but not having any luck. I need to find the PO Number, and PO Approval Date. I cannot find either of these. I have tried using BBP_PD_PO_GETDETAIL, but have no luck with this. here is what I have:

try below steps to retrieve purchase order details from a shopping cart.
get the purchase order GUID in ET_HEADER_REL parameter of BBP_PD_SC_GETDETAIL fm using the shopping cart number or GUID.
then to get the purchase order details, use BBP_PD_PO_GETDETAIL importing I_GUID = purchase order GUID from ET_HEADER_REL.

hie all, i have a problem with a custom purchase order. The item text for a line item is over shadowing the line item, they are sitting on top of each other.. how ever if i comment out the item text the line item is displayed properly. the Item text is attached to the last line item on the order. please help

Need Help With Picture

How can I cutout the background of a picture and save it and be able to paste it over another picture without the background. The picture is not square. I tried clipping path but it didn't work. Please explain in step by step.

With that image, you can just use the Magic Wand to click on the white background (if that is what you wish to remove) to Select it. Hit Shift+Ctrl+I (to Invert the Selection) and then hit Delete to remove it. To keep the Transparency, you will want to Save_As .PSD, or similar, to preserve Transparency, other wise a format like JPEG will fill it in with white again.
With that image Open, you can do several things: Ctrl+C (Copy) and then go to your second image and hit Ctrl+V (Paste) to put it in as a new Layer. From your Opened image, you can drag its Layer into another image.
