Help with Port Triggering

Okay, I have look around for many guide but I can't seem to get the port trigginger to work my Wireless N Router. I have 2 xbox 360s in the house so I'm not able to use port forwarding. I've tried to do port triggering on my own but every guide is to a none verizion type router. Nothing in the guides match the interface I'm giving with. I dont' know what I'm suppose to do. Please, does anyone know how to port trigger for the xbox live with a verizon router?

Step 1.
Open your favorite web browser and input your routers ip address in the address bar.
Please note that you must have the http:// in order to connect to your router/modem properly.
Need help finding you router IP address? Click here
Step 2.
Enter your username and password and click 'OK'
If you don't know it you can check our list of default router and modem password list here.
If you have changed it and don't remember it you may have to reset your device to factory default using the reset button on most routers.
Step 3.
Once logged into your router click on "Firewall Settings"
Set the firewall to 'Minimum Security' to allow Inbound connections.
Now Click 'Apply'
When the page is done reloading click on 'Port Triggering'
Step 4.
Click 'Add'
Step 5.
For 'Outgoing Trigger Ports' click on 'New Trigger Ports'
Step 6.
For 'Protocol' choose your protocol, normally TCP or UDP.
For 'Source Ports' choose 'Any'
For 'Destination Ports' Choose either 'Range' or 'Single' then enter the ports to be used as the trigger.
Example: 2100 or 2100 - 2105
Click 'Apply'
Step 7.
For 'Incoming Ports to Open' click on 'New Opened Ports'
Step 8.
For 'Protocol' choose your protocol, normally TCP or UDP.
For 'Source Ports' choose 'Any'
For 'Destination Ports' Choose either 'Range' or 'Single' then enter the ports to be forwared.
Example: 2100 or 2100 - 2105
Click 'Apply'
Step 9.
If you have more ports to add repeat steps 7 & 8.
Once all ports have been added give the service a name.
For 'Service Name' give your entry a unique name.
Now click 'Apply'
All done!

Help needed to Port Forward on to my PS3.
I need to forward the following ports:
    UDP: 3074; 3659; 6000
    TCP: 80; 443; 3659; 10000 - 10099; 42127
Have previously given the PS3 a static IP, set the port forwarding rules and then forwarded to the IP address, but it appears the ports have not opened as expected.
    Help Keith

I can only see one image which just shows the application mapping, but no indication as to whether you had clicked the "apply" button.
Why are you forwarding ports 80 and 443, are you running a webserver on the PS3, as those ports are used for web serving.
As a matter of interest, your port 80 is showing as open at the moment, so is the PS3 turned on, or is port 80 mapped to something else instead?
What I would like you to do is to start from the beginning, with just the single TCP port number 3659 assigned to the PS3.
It will mean removing the other assignments, but it will make things a bit easier.
If you could do that please, and then we can do some tests.

  • Hi newb here , Can anyone help with Port Forwardin...

    Hi guys
Newb here on Broadband Option 3 .
New to the world of BTorrents ( hope thats not a dirty word ) and just need some help on Port Forwarding with the Curved Blue Voyager ( latest one I think )
Problem is I can't seem to upload anything back and obviously I dont just wanna leech all the time lol
    Thanks in advance
    H

First of welcome to BT Community Forums, although your in the help with speed/connection issues section and bit-torrent is nothing to do with BT but i'll still try to help.
downloading a torrent file is one thing but just because you download does'nt mean you need to upload anything if for example your downloading something with say 100 seeders and 15 leechers then you may find that you dont upload anything or very little, thats nothing to worry about at all.
    Or
If you've made a torrent and cant figure out why its not uploading it may be due to the fact you need to upload the small torrent file to a p2p site in order for others to see it.
Hope this small insight into the world of torrents helps, but i dont know what else to tell you on this subject.
    Kindest Regards

  • Urgent help with Port Forwarding?

    Hi all!
I hope my posting in the right section.
Basically I have a DVR in my home. I want to be able to view the 1 camera that I have externally (from a different home)
I have managed to be able to view the camera internally on my network (the dvr is plugged into the BT HUB 3)
    I did this by Advanced Settings>Port Forwarding>Supported Apps>
I was told by the Manifacturer of the DVR that the ports i needed to forward are 8234 to 8239
Does this look correct to you guys?
The DVR i have a is a Digital Sprite 2 PLUS. Ive turned the firewall off on the router settings as I thought that could be the problem. I can view the dvr internally as I said above using the DVR i.p 192.168.1.69 perfectly, but when I type in my external i.p via my other home it wont connect at all.
Could anybody help me as to what im doing wrong?
    Thanks for any replys !
    James.

  • Need help with port mapping on Airport Utility 6.1

Ive been trying to port map on my TC with Airport Utility 6.1 and failing miserably. Port still closed. Can anyone advise where Im going wrong? Am trying to set up my home camera to be viewed outside.
I managed to key in the ports etc under Network and Port Settings. But nothing works. I'm tearing my hair out.
Any suggestions to try would be helpful.
    Thanks

Use the 5.6 utility.. it is much easier and I think works better.. although you cannot load 5.6 directly into 10.8 the version for Lion actually works fine.
    Download 5.6.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1482
    Download unpkg
    http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/16357/unpkg
Open the AU 5.6 dmg and drag the pkg over the open unpkg.. it will create the directory on the desktop. You can either run it from there or drag the utility to your utilties directory.
Take screen shots of each step. Post them here.
That way we can tell you where it has gone wrong.
What port exactly does the camera need open?
    How are you connecting remotely?
ie do you have a fixed public IP?? If not how are you getting IP?
Is the TC the only router in the network.. it is irrelevant unless the TC is the one and only router.

  • Help with port forwarding for the WRT54G

    I need assistance please!
I am having issues trying to setup port forwarding for a ftp. I already have set this up for a SQL Server port and it works remotely. When I setup another rule for ftp using port range 20-21 it does not work.
I have confirmed that I have saved my settings, have the correct IP address, etc. I have firmware version 4.21.1 and not sure how to troubleshoot this. Any help would be great.
    Thanks,
    John

Yes you do need to have the port already forwarded for port 20~21 with both TCP/IP and UDP enabled unless you know for sure your ftp only uses just one of them.  That is why I asked what port your SGL was set to.  Follow the link that other guy posted and open port 20 and 21 (I only use 21 with no problems) and make sure it is directed to the IP of the ftp host.  Also that PC needs to have the FTP enabled in windows.  To do that go to your control panel > add/remove software > and on the left side go to add/remove windows components.  Then check the box for the ftp and add it.  It should ask for your windows CD do have it handy when you add the ftp component to your PC.

  • Help with Port forwarding issue...

I have a new extreme base station at work currently opening a port # to a imac running a business app. Works fine, BUT I need to open another port # pointing to the exact same imac for using another related program. I opened airport utility did the exact same procedure as the working port but I can't seem to open any new #'s?? Any way to type in "Test port numbers" and check with portscan? I tried a few numbers and Nothing. The only one that comes back open is that one working port #. Nothing is blocked in sharing on the pointed iMac. Called my isp and they said they're not blocking anything. Tried power reset on the exteme and the iMac. No change.  ANY help would be MUCH appreciated!! Thanks in Advance...

Here's an example of two such setups on my AEBS:
Notice that each service has its own ports but both point to the same machine IP address. Try using the machine's IP address assigned in Network preferences.

  • Help with learning Triggers

    Hello,
I'm afraid this is a very basic question from someone just learning Oracle.
I have downloaded 10g onto my work Windows XP laptop.
When trying to create a trigger through sql*plus, I keep getting 'trigger created with compilation errors'
When going to EM, I keep getting :
    "SQL Error
Failed to commit: ORA-04072: invalid trigger type"
This happens with any combination of before/after update, insert, delete - and it's stumping me. i was just working my through an easy example in a book.
here's the trigger body from the EM:
after insert or update on integers #no matter what combination i use , i get the same
    for each row
    begin
    end;
    That error:
    Oracle Error :: ORA-04072
Specify either INSERT, UPDATE or DELETE.
Am i making some obvious typo that i just can't see????
Thanks for any help, it's appreciated....

it's just the most basic learning example.........
    the table........
    SQL> select * from integers;
    C1 C2
    1 odd
    2 even
    3 odd
    4 even
    5 odd
    7 odd
    7 even
    7 rows selected.
and as for the trigger, as i posted above, i took out everythinng from the body eventually as i tried every combination of before/after insert/update/delete and still kept getting the same error (with or wihtout anything in the body).
    trigger:
    create or replace trigger tg
after insert or update on integers
    for each row
    begin
    end;
    thanks!

  • Help with port forwarding ASA5505 v8.2

    Hi,
Having an issue doing a port translation on an ASA5505 for RDP.
I have a /29 allocated by ISP and when I port forward the address assigned to the outside interface RDP works perfectly, however when I try to use another IP within the /29 range, I get nothing.
I am only new to ASA so please forgive if this is something obvious...
    Relevant config is:

    nat (inside) 1 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0

  • Please help with Port Assignment issue!

I have 5 rack mount tone modules connected to a keyboard controller each on seperate midi channels and seperate ports (Controller: Port 1, Midi 1, Module #1: Port 2, Midi 2, Module #2: Port 3, Midi 3 etc).
Every time I chnge a port setting on one unit, it changes all of them on every track, so I get no audio output unless I manually assign each port whenever I want to play that track.
Please! how do I assign independent port settings to each channel????
    Thanks

Yep, that's it, they were all running from the same "generic" external MIDI environment, switch one, they all switch.
I use a few external instruments and have a fairly well crafted environment I've developed over the past few years.

  • Need help with port forwarding an Avtech DVR

For some reason I can't get my Avtech DVR to work on my android phone on Avtech's Eagle Eyes app.
The camera/dvr comes up on wifi, but not on 4g. I am trying to get the port forwarding to work, but its not working. It says the ip address is not accesible.
The port for the dvr is 80. This is what I have. I thought it was correct?

    Solved!

Thought I'd post an update to this. I fixed it. I had to change ports on my dvr.

First off, DISABLE the dmz!! That opens ALL ports to your pc, you dont want that.
Second, because you had the pc in the dmz tells me that the router is not blocking port 25, again, in the dmz all ports are open.
Disable upnp, it will just cause problems and you arent using it anyway.
    Go to :
    https://www.grc.com/x/ne.dll?bh0bkyd2
Click proceed, enter 25 in the box in the middle, then click user specified custom probe.
    Does it show as stealth?

  • Need help with porting from Java 1.1 to 1.4

One of our applications is an applet and we're in the
process of upgrading it's version of Java from 1.1 to 1.4. For the most part, the upgrade has gone smoothly, but we are having two big problems. The first problem is that the list objects on one of the windows resize when a mouse event occurs on the Tabbed Panel it sits on. The list object is made from a Symantec class called MultiList. The list actually shrinks so that the data on it can hardly be seen.
The other problem is that when dispose() is called on all of the windows, an IllegalStateException: Cannot dispose InputContext while its active error occurs.

If you people have nothing good to say, please do the
rest of us in the forum(s) a favor and don't say
    anything at all.
Also, do not assume that threads are posted because
people are lazy and haven't researched their
    problem(s).
People post threads in these forums looking for help,
not abuse. What are you talking about?
If the original poster disregarded my advice and searched the bug database as indicated, they would have found the answer to their question. I know. I had the same problem and solved it by using the workaround I found in the bug database.
I would say it was very helpful advice.

  • Help with ports/sockets

I am writing a program that accepts multiple users using sockets. It works well on my home network when i use the ip address 192.168.1.12. But when I try to get computers to connect outside of the network it doesnt work. Even when I change the ip address that the client is connecting to to the one i found at http://www.whatismyipaddress.com/
    which is 24.50.xxx.yy
The port i'm using for the server and client is 11114.
How do i make it work over the internet and not just my home network?

A good place to start is:
    http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.1/docs/guide/rmi/socketfactory/SSLInfo.html
There is a code example, but you will also need to follow the guide in the other link below to create the required key files.
Don't base your knowledge of SSL RMI sockets solely on what I say here, as I'm fairly new to this so I may express myself wrong. But here is a 30,000 foot overview of what I did to get them to work:
If you are using RSA on your SSL connection, a public and private key are required. For this to work, you must create a key (keystore) via Java's "keytool.exe" tool using the '-genkey' option (the keystore should eventually reside on your server). You will then create a certificate from that keystore using the '-export' option of the keytool. Lastly, you will import the certificate into your client's store of accepted certificates (the file java\lib\security\cacerts) via the '-import' option of keytool.
For a full description, you need to read:
    http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4/docs/guide/security/jsse/JSSERefGuide.html
the section from this page on using keytool:
    http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4/docs/guide/security/jsse/JSSERefGuide.html#CreateKeystore
The example shows using a new custom file for the truststore, but I imported the certificate into Java's cacerts file instead. I was unable to find the certificate if it was not in this file, but I very well may have been doing something wrong.
