Help with printing projects from photoshop elements

I have been trying for a few days now to print a project from my elements 6 program and the colors are way off. I just recently got a new printer, Epson artisan 837. I didn't have this problem with my last printer. The printer prints normal from other programs, and I've tried a ton of different printing settings and I still can't get it. Help please.

In Editor, go to Edit menu>color settings
Check "Always Optimize Colors for Computer Screens".
In the printer settings, check Printer Manages Colors.
The point is that you don't want both PSE and the printer to manage colors.

  • Printing problems from Photoshop Elements to Epson XP-800

I cannot print photogrpaic images with my desktop MAC (OS X10.8.4) from Photoshop Elements 9.0 to my new Epson XP-800 printer. Printing is not a problem with  Word text or images from iPhoto- it is only with PSE that there is a problem.  The problem persists even if I try using a cabled connection rather than WiFi.  I have ensured latest software from Epson has been downloaded.  This problem did not occur when using the same system with the previous printer (Epson Photo Stylus 1290).
Any suggestions for solving this rather than just a workaround of moving the edited PSE image back to iPhoto & printing from there (which admittedly does work but shouldn't be necessary).
    Grateful for any help.

  • Need help with an application problem - Photoshop Elements 3.0

    Hi,
I wrote to an Adobe Photoshop Elements forum, but the suggestions made there have not helped solve the problem. A friend suggested that I post about it here as there are likely many of you who use the program.
I start up PSE 3 and it begins to load. When it gets to where it says that it is "building TWAIN menu items" as soon as it says that, it closes. I have put the Photoshop Elements 3.0 Settings file into the trash, emptied the trash then restarted the program (one of the suggestions from the Adobe forum) and that didn't fix the problem. I've deleted that file and uninstalled the program, restarted the computer, then reinstalled the program - and it still closes at the same point in the startup.
I bought my Mac in Dec. 2005 and bought PSE 3 at the computer store the same day, so neither is very old.
Have any of you had this problem? Any suggestions on how to fix it?
    Thank you

    iMac G5   Mac OS X (10.4.5)

Thank you Rod That worked. Now, what do I do with the stuff I took out of that file?
What are the files actually called, Pearl?
The stuff in that folder will be a "TWAIN" driver or drivers for something that you connect to your computer to take images - a scanner or a camera, for example, (though not many cameras use TWAIN these days).
What brand and model of scanner or camera are you using?
The best solution in such situations is usually to download a new set of current drivers from the manufacturers web site, and install them fresh. Just stick the old ones in the trash once you have done this, and checked that it works.
    Cheers

  • Transferring Pics and Projects from Photoshop Elements 5 to 7

I currently have Photoshop Elements 5 and have just ordered PSE 7 with Premiere Elements 7. Can anyone tell me the best way to transfer my pictures and projects such as audio slideshows from PSE 5 to PSE 7? After I do so, may I uninstall PSE 5 from my PC?
    Thanks!

    Instructions are here: http://www.johnrellis.com/psedbtool/photoshopelements-6-7-faq.htm#_Move_your_photos_1
After you are sure that your new PSE7 catalog is working properly, you can delete PSE5.

  • Help with signing into adobe photoshop elements!!!

Whenever I get to the step where is asks for date of birth and screen name, I fill it out an press continue but an error message pops up saying that there was an error and my settings were not saved. I have tried multiple times doing it over and over again but it wont work! I ignored it but then I went to edit a picture and it said there was ANOTHER error! Thank you so much in advance!

Where exactly are you trying to register?  To use Photoshop Elements you don't need to register anywhere.  If you are talking about product registrations then it is optional and you can wait until tomorrow when Adobe servers are running optimally.  The Product Registration screen looks like this:  (Click on the image to get a full picture)
    Hope this helps.

  • Problem with printing 6x4 from Photoshop CS5 to Epson 2880

    Hi,
bit of an odd one. I can print A3 and A4 no problem, but when I try to print a 6 x 4 it looks like the printer is not reconising the size of the paper. It prints the image the right size, but as though it were printing it on a larger sheet of paper, in the left hand side with a a 5cm space to the right (which is actually the top of the image).
I have set the printer to 6 x 4 for both image and paper.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks

I have an Epson 2200, but am assuming the drivers and print dialog accesing that driver and ICC profiles are very similar to Epson's 2880, which is the same size as the 2200.
In order to print 6 x 4, whish isn't a standard page size in the print dialogs, are you setting up a custom page size? (Print > Print Settings > Page Size > Manage Custom Sizes) - This works fine here, but if the paper is the wrong size, it won't print. The print driver requires that the paper size actually be 6 x 4.
Of course, an alternative approach might be to print on a standard paper size, maybe adding trim marks, and then cutting the page down to 6 x 4 after printing.
If none of this helps, I suggest you contact Epson's tech support.

  • Can I use adobe after effects with my project from premiere elements

Wondering if I can use adobe after effects with my premiere elements project

    drunner
What version of Adobe After Effects do you have?
Whatever the case, I have not found any Adobe After Effects documentation that include a Premiere Elements project.prel file as a supported import choice.
I suspect that you are going to have to export your Premiere Elements Timeline as a .mp4 file with a After Effects supported compression into After Effects.
But, I would ask in the Adobe After Effects Forum just to double check.

  • Need help with 2nd download of Photoshop Elements 12

I loaded PSE12 on my laptop.  The laptop imploded (not associated with PSE12).   Now how do I load PSE12 on my desktop?

You're allowed to install PSE on two machines so you can just install and use the same serial number. But if you're laptop has been consigned to the technology graveyard you should contact Adobe Actiavation help at http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/activation-deactivation-products.html and start a chat with them. Explain about your laptop and they will be able to deactivate it for you.

    Hi
I have a problem with color prints from photoshop elements 12. The pictures are too light and with strange colors. I have a Canon pixma mg615I0 printer and use mac os X yosemite. The pictures are taken with a coanon eos 550d in the color space sRGB. I have followed adobes recommendations and have tried both letting the printer respektive photoshop manage the colors. But nothing works. I see that there are different opinions about which is best to do so I tried both. I have the latest printer driver installed. Can anyone help me with this?

    Do the following:
Print a test page from the printer. Perhaps the print head needs cleaning via its maintenance facility.
Let the printer manage colors, not PSE
    Calibrate the monitor

  • Help with upgrading from Photoshop Elements to Lightroom 3

Any tutorials/books/best practices on upgrading from PSE to LR 3? I have thousands and thousands of photos in PSE, and I'm sure the upgrade is not as transparent and smooth as Adobe promotes it to be.
Any suggestion, advice or past experience will be greatly appreciated.

here is a set of instructions on doing what you want.

Lightroom detects if your computer has a Photoshop Elements catalog and can import photos and data from the PSE catalog into a new Lightroom catalog. Lightroom imports photos and data from Photoshop Elements 6 and later on Windows. Lightroom imports photos and data from Photoshop Elements 9 on Mac OS.
Note: For help troubleshooting errors or problems when importing PSE catalogs into Lightroom, see the Adobe Support article Lightroom 3 cannot upgrade Photoshop Elements catalogs (cpsid_85517).
In the Library module, choose File > Upgrade Photoshop Elements Catalog. The Upgrade Photoshop Elements Catalog dialog box displays the most recently opened Photoshop Elements 6 (PSE6), Photoshop Elements 7 (PSE7), or Photoshop Elements 8 (PSE8), or Photoshop Elements 9 (PSE9) catalog.
To choose a different PSE catalog, click the Photoshop Elements drop-down menu.
To change the destination of the new Lightroom catalog, click Change and navigate to a different folder.
Click Upgrade to import the PSE catalog into a new Lightroom catalog.

I have PSE13 on my system, Windows 8.1, 64-bit.  It was functioning properly after installation and now I get these messages when I go to print:  "The saved printer information is not compatible with this version of Photoshop Elements, or the saved printer is no longer available.  You need to check your printer settings before printing."  and then this statement:  "Default printer could not be opened."  I have reloaded drivers for both printers and made any upgrades possible.  It was working fine before and now all of a sudden, nothing.  Would prefer to have old PSE v.12 back, it worked with no problems.
