Help with Purcased items on iTunes

I'm purcasing a new computer, is it possible to have all my purcased items from iTunes to be put on my new computer.

Yes CopyPod does transfer videos as well as music.
However, the other program mentioned (Senuti) is for Macs only.
But you may not need a 3rd party program at all.
If it's purchases from the iTunes store you are referring to, then if you are using iTunes version 7 or later, you can transfer purchased iTunes store music from the iPod to an authorized computer by using the "file/transfer purchases from iPod" menu. Note that the maximum of 5 authorized computers applies here.

Help with backup issues on ITunes IPhone

I recently updated to iOS7 however before this i did the following:
1. i used a new ITunes on my laptop so i plugged my phone in a made 4 backup copies before restoring my IPhone
2. I restored my IPhone fine and updated to iOS7 in the process once restored
3. I went through the steps on setting up iOS7 and got the the 'Restore from backup section' - I selected restore from backup and it started retoring from my last backup with all my apps/Contacts etc, It said it would take 16 minutes to fully sync it all back
4. However during this process my laptop decided to restart therefor stopping the backup sync
5. I reopen my Itunes and my IPhone is available on my ITunes, i select 'Restore from backup' but it only shows a backup from 23:45 which is the time staright after my laptop restarted
6. It doesnt show any backups previousl to this in my ITunes backups folders for some reason - I have lost everything from my Phone and i cant seem to see the previous backups - They MUST be somewhere as i backed up 4 times prior to this but only 3 backups are being displayed all labelled as 23:45, 23:45 and 23:46..
7. Im not sure what happened to all my data and information and where its gone to

Help with Library Items

How do I change the titles of a couple of pages, eg "Biography" to "About" and how do I delete some pages?

Need help with moving files into Itunes and syncing

Please help.
I have an external hard drive with my music on it. I created a new playlist in Itunes and did a drag and drop from my external hard drive into my newly created playlist.
Now that I go back and play the items I brought over, I get an error that says "original files not found" and it won't play and therefore does not seem to be syncing to the Ipod to be able to play.
Can you please give me guidance as to what I can do without recreating all the work I had already done?

Help with new MBP and iTunes

I need some help fast. I bought my wife a new MBP and in setting everything up we inadvertently setup a new and wrong iTunes account. We haven't transferred anything yet, I want to get this account off her computer before I bring everything from her Win 7 machine.
Can't find any specific instructions, can somebody help me out?

It's late so this will be rather short:
1. Make sure you update the older version of iTunes to the latest version
2. Go into iTunes Settings and Authorize iTunes with your Apple ID and Password
3. In settings, turn off Automatice sync
4. Connect your iPad and once recognized, right click the device from the left side of the the iTunes screen
5. Transfer purchases
6. You can then sync
A lot to digest and I don't have the time to walk you through every step. If you need to, google the points and you'll find lot's of information on where to find these in iTunes.

Can anyone help with my iPad and iTunes?

I have just plugged in my ipad into my mac and it is asking do I wish to set it up as a new device or sync it with my other devices ie iPhone. My ipad has completely different devices and I do not wish to lose everything on my iPad. Can you help??

Leighs21, I believe it is asking if you would like to Set the device up as new (with computer, Choose yes) or if you would like to restore from a backup of another device. Setting up as new is just on the computers end, not your entire device. This is because it is the first time you are plugging into itunes with that device or the first time after a restore or erased content and settings. Let me know if this helped you. Get an iCloud back up if you are concerned.

Help with multiple users in iTunes

I seem to have made a right mess of iTunes. It all started with my 80gb Classic ipod and iTunes on my Toshiba Windows 8 laptop. All was fine then my daughter got an iPod touch and I think here was where I made my first mistake. I setup a new iTunes account and used my wifes email address as her Apple ID. Again all was well because we also have Windows 7 laptop in the house.
Next my daughter got an iphone 4s so the ipod was given to us and I added it to my iTunes account in devices. This seemed to be ok and all was well again. My wife then also bought an iphone 4s and this is where I think I made my next mistake. I had to get my daughter to change her apple ID so that my wife could have her old email address back but this seemed to be ok. Are you still with me
Last night my daughter decided to buy an album on iTunes on her phone but iTunes began asking her for the answers to security questions. We are certain that we didnt setup any security questions & answers so were mystified. I logged into iTunes and it defaulted to my wifes account but it was showing the voucher and it was showing the ipod touch in devices. I signed out then back into my daughters account and it was still showing the voucher but still showing the ipod touch in devices. I went ahead and clicked buy album of my daughters choice and it immediately began to download to her iphone.
So im in a bit of a mess as you can see if you have been kind enough to read this far. I dont know what to do except somebody suggested just having one account but the problem is with icloud as my wife & daughter will want some privacy and if we are all on the same ID everyone sees the same thing ?

Yes, that's the usual advice - everyone use the one itunes account and each user has his/her own icloud account.

Help with problem connecting to itunes

My son's Ipod touch is not showing up as being recognized by Itunes. We did and reset on it and now all that comes up on his screen are the icons that show to plug your ipod into the USB port so it can link with Itunes. When we plug it in nothing happens though because I do not think Ipod is being recognized.
Don't know why or how this has happenned. he tried to jailbreak his Ipod last week but was unsuccessful. Don't know if this hurt it or not.
Can anyone help as to what I should do?

URGENT - Help with my ipod and itunes not connection due to code

Hi there,
I have an ipod touch which I updated to ios4 last week, go away on holiday with it and within 2 days its showing on the screen that it needs to be connected to itunes.
So I come home and do just that but now itunes tells me that it cant connect to my touch due to me having a security code on it... only thing is I cant put the code in as its asking to be reset and connected to itunes but I cant do that as itunes is asking for the code to be put in!!!!
What do I do???

Can anyone help me - please.... I still have the receipt for the ipod and I have all the other bits that come with it so if onlly someone could give me some hints on what I should do... my 4 yo is driving me mad now he can't have his daily dose of fishtank fun!!!

Help with error E1611 in itunes

Please can someone help me as Apple refuse to- and i'm at my wits' end
I have had the error 1611 that many people both here and elsewhere seem to get namely the Ipod Touch 2nd Generation not switching on of it's own free will and when it's connected to my laptop i get the error message 1611.
I have looked online for days and have done every singe suggestion countless times
i.e restore
uninstalling and re-installing itunes
using all versions of itunes since 7.0
using all relevant versions of the firmware
using a different computer (running XP)
holding down home and Power button
using different USB ports
going thorugh DFU
i have even contacted apple, sent my ipod to them but have responded by saying i have abused or accidentally damage my Ipod. I cannot believe they had the cheek to say this!
I have done nothing but keep the Ipod in a padded leather case, used it for less than 4 weeks- 5hrs per week at most. I have only put music and Apps from the store on it and nothing more.
I havent dropped it or broken it physically so i dont know how they can suggest it's my fault. I rang Apple care and i got through to the Indian Subcontinent to a person who spoke less English than my cat and had to wait 10mintes plus for the privilege
Can anybody help me resolve this issue as at the moment and im left with a £200+ piece of metal and glass that i can't do anything with
I chose Apple as i believed they were innovative and quality products and now i'm left completely annoyed and frustrated (and i'm sure it shows haha)

Help with slightly complicated iPod/iTunes library issue

I have an older iPod with about 80 gig of music and videos on it, all legally acquired through the iTunes store or via my own CD collection.
I would like to transfer the music of this library (which does not match the current contents of my current iPod touch and iTunes library) to my wife's laptop (currently running 10.4.11) so she can access music from it for her iPod nano.
Issue #1: is there a good third-party app. that would allow such a transfer?
Issue #2: there is not enough hard drive space on the laptop to accept an 80 gig library transfer...how could I set that up on an external drive?

Help with importing tones to iTunes

I have several .wav files in my finder that I would love to add to iTunes so I can use them as tones for text or emails. Is there a way to do this? I'm using a Mac mini with OS X 10.8.2 Thanks for any help you can provide.

Are you trying to update with a different computer or iTunes account than what you previously synced to?
You'll get that warning if you're trying to sync, or restore using a different computer than the one the phone was last originally activated with or last synced to. This will REPLACE whatever is on your phone with what is in the iTunes library on that computer. To avoid losing your apps/media with a new computer:
1. Authorize the computer in iTunes to your account.
2. Disable automatic synching on connection: (iTunes) Preferences > Devices > Prevent... from syncing automatically.
3. Connect your phone.
4. Right-click the device tab (left side of iTunes screen) and select "Transfer Purchases" to transfer from your phone to the iTunes library. Note that this transfers only media PURCHASED from iTunes, not anything you added from other sources.

Help with transferring music from itunes to itunes

I just got my iPod for Christmas (yay!) and I'm in a dilemma with downloading songs to it from iTunes. Our home computer is being worked on and is basically useless right now. However, my dad has his laptop that already has iTunes on it. My question is, if I would download songs on his computer to put on my iPod, could I later take them off his iTunes (or my iPod) and put it on my iTunes on the home computer? I dont want to lose any of them, but would like to be able to take them off his iTunes and put them on mine to manage in the future.

Help with syncing iPod to iTunes

Alright well, over the past few days I've had the problem where my iTunes wouldn't open AT ALL. I mean, nothing, no error message or anything, and then other problems. Finally after clearing out my registry and viruses I managed to get iTunes to open with no problems except one: when I plug my iPod in to sync, it now says that I do not have the required software on iTunes to sync the iPod. I don't know the problem, honestly, because I uninstalled and installed it again. Has anyone had all of these problems or at least the syncing one, and do you know how to help? Thank you.

Using unchecking to manage an iPod is an option but only if you can live with the other things unchecking does:
Unchecked songs will be skipped when playing songs from the library or a selection. They will only play when individually clicked on.
Smart Playlists have an option that unchecked songs won't appear.
Unchecked songs will not be burned to CD.
A better option to use when your iPod is smaller than the iTunes library is 'Sync Music - Selected playlists'.
Open iTunes and create a playlist to update your iPod from, call it -iPod to make it the first playlist in Sources. You can make this a normal playlist and drag whatever you want to it or you can make it a random Smart playlist. If you are making a smart playlist limit it to just less than the size of your iPod (for example 3700MB for a 4G iPod Nano or Mini). Now connect your iPod and when it appears in the Source list click on the iPod icon to bring up the preference tabs in the main pane. Go to the Music tab and choose Sync Music and the Selected playlists radio button. Choose the playlist you just made from the selection and click Apply. You can also sync from any existing playlists by choosing the same setting:
