Hi I bought my husband an Ipod touch and he wanted to listen to the radio after finding out that there was a fault with the hardware and sending it back and getting a replacement we have now found out that there is no wifi in the area he works - is there anyway we can do anything about it? I.e buy an app or accessory. Its a iPod touch 3rd generation.

You can purchase a device like a MiFi (Google mifi). It is a wifi hotspot that also has 3G cellular connection. There are other similar devices from different carriers.

The only option you have is to turn off cellular data completely. You are correct, there is no setting for cellular data for messages. If you toggle iMessage off/on multiple times, you will end up with problems, since others will not know if you have iMessage off/on, and will continue to try to send iMessages to you. Also, you may find you will have problems with iMessage activating again after turning it off. iMessages do not use very much data, but if you are using data for other reasons, that could use up the limited pool of data you mentioned

The History menu can only show that fixed maximum of 15 as that is hard coded.

HT1349 How do I get help with Itunes when I dont have a serial number for a Mac because I am not using a Mac???????

I just want to get some help using itunes. I have downladed music - paid for music, and can't get it into itunes. When I used th e'support' thing it just wanted to know my Mac serial numbers!! I don't have a Mac I hace a standard non Mac PC. So why can't I get help with itunes? Its taken me half an hour to get into this support thing because every single name I chose was taken!!!! Its just a nightmare. I hate it!
And now it tells me I must 'choose a community' and itunes isn;t listed! It gets worse! So I chose any community because this is just a never ending nightmare. 40 minutes ago now I clicked on support for itunes and I ended up here!

I am in the UK and its 23.43 so I have to give up and go to bed now. As I said I have had no probes with Amazon downloads. I did email CD baby for help but they just sent the links that you offered earlier.
I have tried to burn to CD so I can listen that way but though I go through all the motions I can't add the tracks to the burn list by copying and pasting, and I can't 'drag the tracks here' beacuse the tracks aren't showing, just the whole album folder. It looks like this:

Basically i havnt a clue where to start.

Place the radio buttons on the stage and set their parameters
to what you need. Make sure that for each group of radio buttons
you give them the same group name. Then you could use something
like this:

No, not really. I can't take you up on your advice and use delegates. The use case excludes PC all together - there is no computer nearby to be used. In my case they need to make and receive phone calls, be able to transfer calls, and have
a voice mail feature. Lync Edition device does not accommodate this use case well. Here are the issues so far.
1. You can't transfer calls unless phone is unlocked. There is a way to change that trough policy, but the phone lock policy works on per site basis. On a small deployment like ours with a single site this means phone lock for everyone or no
one.
2. Phone shows error about "Exchange integration" as we discussed above. Due to interface design choices this means that "menu" button is obscured form view. That makes it impossible for uninformed user to transfer a call.
Here is the bottom line the way I see it: the Lync Edition Phone is great for an office (cubical farm) environment, but when time comes to deal with special use cases the assumptions Lync/Exchange team made backfire. I'd have to go to Lync Server compatible
phone like Polycom VVX to get around phone lock issue. In Polycom world that is configurable on per phone basis, as, one would argue, it should be. Polycom have bugs of their own though - you can't make "blind transfer" a default method of transfer.
So, no good solution so far.

Help with Ipad (3rd gen) wifi

I have a problem with my Ipad where I'm unable to scroll across a video. For instance if im playing a video on youtube or iplayer, I'm unable to forward the video. I have restored the ipad through Itunes but has not resolved the issue. Any ideas why this is happening?

For the issue with Messages, try this. Settings>Messages>Show Subject Field>Off. Then try typing and sending a message.
Did you restore as new? You didn't say if you did or not? I don't think this is going to help with the video scrubbing but it doesn't hurt anything. Reboot your iPad.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

Help with Radio Buttons in Form

Hi. I have inherited a website that has a simple form. I have
been asked to edit the form adding 4 radio buttons to collect the
consumer's satisfaction with the content of the website. I have
added the radio buttons using Dreamweaver MX, however, they do not
work as I expected them to. I was under the impression that radio
buttons did not allow the user to select more than one option
because when the user selected a different option, the first option
was unselected. My form is currently allowing all four options to
be selected at the same time. The code for the form is below. I
have changed the @ in the email address of the form to prevent
possible spam. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It looks like you need to change the name= to the same on
each radio button, if they all have the same name then you can only
check one. Then click the form in the behaviors panel and be sure
the radio button name is inserting into the proper db
column.

Help with radio buttons

Hi, I am new to forms and and want to create several radio button fields each with two choices, I want the field to be required so that the recipient has to choose either choice 1 or choice 2.
Problem I am having is that when I set the field to required it sets both choices to required and when testing the form I cannot submit it because one or more required fields are incomplete. Is there a work around or should I be using another type of check box?

Thank you for your prompt response - I have no experience or knowledge about writing script although from what you wrote this would seem to be the remedy to my problem. For the time being I will have to uncheck the required field option and rely on the recipients completing the form correctly.
Hopefully over a period of time I will learn how to write the appropriate script.

Need some help with orientation when Printing Tickets

Hi Guys,
We use an online ticketing system which when clicked on "print ticket" Safari window comes up showing the ticket as a PDF. You move the mouse to the bottom of the page, where adobe reader icon bar appears so you can print.
Now currently when the ticket comes up, The ticket is shown horizontally and the part you would normally tear off (stub) is on the left hand side, However when we go to print, because the ticketing paper is setup as the stubs first then the rest of the ticket, this orientation has the ticket being printer first then the ticket stubb, which is the opposite to the way the paper in the printer is, causing the ticket to be printed incorectly. If I was to rotate the image twice, so that the text appears upside down, with the stub on the right side, and print the ticket it prints correctly, since the stubb is printed first and matches the paper.
Is there a way to have the ticket appear as it is now so you can read it on the preview but flip the pdf 180 degrees up side down, so the stub is on the right side, and gets printed first, before it goes to the printer.
Forgive me but I have looked and haven`t found, any setting that work. I have tried the flip horizontally option as well as the reverse page orientation, which hasen`t fixed the problem.
I want to be able to get the orientation, correct and be able to save as default, the settings so its a simple click print, type of operation, without having to readjust it everytime.
It is important that I get this orientation correct, as it affects the print stubs, and ticket.
also keep in this on Mac's as well, and my layout direction option is greyed out.
Hopefully that makes sense.
Any help is greatly apreciated, as I do need to get this problem resolved fairly soon, as our box office is getting buys.

If you "flip" the PDF, any text on the document will be mirrored; you will need to rotate it.
One method I can imagine is to use JavaScript to rotate the PDF, but I'm not sure that this function actually exists. Check for yourself: http://www.adobe.com/content/dam/Adobe/en/devnet/acrobat/pdfs/js_api_reference.pdf
Note that if you build a "rotate" JS into Adobe Reader, every PDF document that is opened will appear rotated.

Help with Radio Group and Web Service

Hi,
I created a Radio Group with Dynamic Entry List (Web Service). It seems my list keeps coming back empty. I am on SP10.
When I deploy I get warnings that "Entry List is missing output fields mapping. I think this is a warning only because I don't have my form connected to any other components. I just want to see the radio group populated. I don't think this is the cause.
I see references out there to this "Dynamic List" not working until SP12? Can anyone add some insight to what is wrong? unsupported until later?

Help with radio buttons and show/hide javascript

Hi. I'm new working with LiveCycle and also pretty much at a basic/beginner level of javascripting. I'm creating a pdf fillable form and one of the tasks I've been given is to add a function where if Option A is chosen by the user, then the correspondng table will appear, and if Option B is chosen another table will appear. After some searching I Iearned more about how radio buttons can be used, so I created a set of radio buttons. I have tried several different things, the latest was making both tables "hidden", and then taking to the radio button list group and applying the show/hide script to each of the radio buttons in the group. Still nothing seems to be working as I want it to. The table remains hidden when I click on the . This is what the code looks like right now. I know I'm obviously doing something wrong, this seems like such a basic thing to code. Getting to the frustration point, if you can sort me out with what I am missing/overlooking please let me know. Note. The radio buttons are not in the same table, they are higher up in the form outside of the tables that I am trying to show/hide, but they are in the same subform. I don't know if that might be an issue?

For starters you have unnamed pages, which is not a good idea. This makes it more difficult to reference objects. In your JavaScript you would have to resolve the node, however the simpliest route would be to name the page first. Something like "page1". Have a look at this example for referencing objects: http://assure.ly/kUP02y.
Next I would not place the script in each of the radio buttons, as this is likely to cause conflicts and is doubling the script. The best place to put the script is in the click event of the radio button exclusion group. This contains all of the radio buttons. You syntax for JavaScript if/else statements is potentially incorrect. The script within the statements should be wrapped in curly brackets. While you can get away with it for single lines, I would not be inclined to take that approach. So:

With the radio button exclusion group you can use its rawValue, just specify it in the Object > Binding palette. So on the basis of chaning the page name:

There is a syntax checker button in the Script Editor that should highlight errors.

Need help with Security when running AS3 inside browser

Hi,
I am fairly new to flash, but a fairly experienced
programmer.
I have created a game that runs perfectly and communicates to
a WinSock server over port 4000 to publish its final score to.
Using simple XMLSocket and Send.
When I run the game in the standalone flash player everything
works perfectly as it should
However when I embed in a HTML page or similar it goes wrong.
The game works fine, but the final posting to the WinSock socket
server fails. I have retrieved the error message.

My server is a local server to me running IIS 6. Everything
runs fine by the standalone flash player so I know ports are clear
and firewalls are not the problem.
Searching around google and forums I have found out that in
9,0,124,0 (the flash I am running) that they made some security
enhancements, namely you need to post a crossdomain file.
My file is sat in the wwwroot of my webserver where my flash
swf is hosted and looks like

</cross-domain-policy>
I have also tried adding the following to the 1st section of
the swf file

I have tried all conbinations, but I cannot get the flash to
communicate to the socket server when it inside a web browser.
If i run it in the standalone player, everything works
perfectly.
Can someone help me please. I have been googling and ripping
my hair out for ages. This is the final stage of my project and I
am failing at the final step.
Just to add.
My server and testing computer are on the same domain, the
web server is a win2003 server and my testing and coding server is
a XP machine running IE7. They are linked by a ADSL router sharing
the same external IP address but via DHCP addressing. Everything
works fine for port forwarding of the winsocket port.
Just to emphasis, I believe this setup is correct, as it all
works fine when I run in the flash player.

I fixed it eventually.
In flash 9.0.124.0 they now force you to have a socket XML
server running on port 843 a server somewhere if you wish to use
XMLSocket inside a browser.
Nothing to do with domain or crossdomain.xml files.
You need to also call
Security.loadPolicyFile("xmlsocket://x.x.x.x:843") before you
open the socket.
to load in the XML that defines what is allowed.
Search google for AS3 and socket server port 843 and you will
find examples and even a simple Java based server to use.
