Surely the openreach engineer did most of it, the rest as said is just plug and play.

  • Help With My Setup...

I Hope I'm in the right forum, If not let me know where this post should go.
Thanks for helping me out. I have some questions regarding my setup and acquiring new gear. Currently, I have a the following setup:
    IMac - newer model
    Logic Pro 9
    Numark tt-usb turntable
    Stanton DJ mixer
    Pair of Yamaha HS80 monitors
    MPD 24
I would like to add a keyboard controller (I'm thinking of the new Korg Microsampler). Basically, I'm willing to get the microsampler as long as it can Fully function like a controller, which can control logic synths & plug-ins(axiom, mpk, etc.) and as well as it's own features. Furthermore, I would like to to be able to record from my turntable to logic and into the microsampler. I understand I would need an interface. Would I still need the mixer? Would the M-Audio Firewire Solo work with my setup?
Would a control surface take place of an Interface?
I am possibly interested in getting a control surface that works good within logic. I was looking at the Euphonix MC Control, it seems to work great with logic. Is there an cheaper alternative? Also, I would like it to be user friendly, I am new to this.
Essentially, I want everything to work simple & smoothly. I like to make sample based music from records. Can you give me a rundown of the necessary items I'm going to need...cables, interface, etc.
Sorry, if I'm rambling just want to be clear.
    I appreciate your time....

I use a Alesis multimix FW and a presonus inspire.
I would guess that you should always get dry sound from any output with firewire plugged in or not. My inspire uses a software control panel to route signal and the Multimix is all hardware. I have no clue how to route signal with the firebox but it has to be one or the other. Presonus is pretty good with updates and bug fixes did you check for new drivers?

  • Replacing a broken computer - help with router question ?

    Here is the situation,
I have a desktop computer that has Cisco Connect loaded and was connected to the Cisco Router E3000 via an ethernet cable.
Laptop is connected to the router wirelessly. Everything was working fine aside from having to occassionaly reboot the router when it lost it's connection with the printer.
The Dell desktop has crashed and burned. It is turned off.
The laptop is still connected to the router, which is in turn connected to the modem and I still have an internet connection.
I am setting up a new desktop which will be hardwired to the router via ethernet cable.
Do I need to reinstall Cisco Connect and run it? If so will I have to change anything in the settings or configuration?
The LAN was originally set up for me but I would very much like to do it myself because of budgetary concerns.
What do I need to do in order to set up my new/replacement desktop?
Thank you for any help .
    Fred

Well in this situation , You need to reset and reconfigure the router again with the help of the setup CD and it will install the cisco connect software again on the new desktop .
Regarding the settings , You can manage the settings by urself with the help of the cisco connect software .. If you want you can change or make the same network name and password that you had before on the router .

  • Need some help with guitar setup...

jeez, never thought i'd be asking a question like this after playing for like 20 years, but i need some help with a guitar setup for mac. i'm gonna list out a lot of crap here that prolly doesn't affect anything at all, but here goes.
    Imac 17inch G4 - latest updated OS X... 10.4, or 5, or whatever. garageband 3.0
    digitech gnx-3
    alesis sr-16
    sure mic's
    yamaha e203 keyboard
    here's the setup:
yamaha is on its own on a usb uno midi interface, sure's connected to gnx's xlr port, alesis connected to gnx's jam-a-long input, '87 kramer vanguard connected to gnx's guitar input. currently running headphones out on gnx to line in on mac.
    here's the problem:
everything works beautifully, but my guitar sounds like crap. if i plug headphones into the gnx, it sounds beautiful. that makes me think its some kind of level issue between the gnx's output, and the mac's input, but nothing seems to fix it.
by sounding like crap, i mean way too much bass. sound is muddy, blurry, not crisp... aka crap. i've tried altering both output and input on mac and gnx, and i cant get a combination that works. the gnx has a s/pdif out, can the mac accept that as input? might that help? short of running the gnx to my marshal half stack and mic'ing that, anyone have any suggestions, or use a similar setup?
any help would be greatly appreciated!

anyone? ... any suggestions? I think it might be an issue with the gnx pre-amping the signal as it goes out, and then the mac amping it on the way in, giving me a buttload more signal than i need, but since i cant find a happy level, i'm not really sure. i really dont want to resort to mic'ing my marshall... even with the volume almost off, my jcm900 is WAY too loud for apartment use. its not like i really NEED the guitar to sound perfect, i only use garageband to sketch out ideas for songs between myself and bandmates, but its really annoying to not have my customary crisp distortion. my bass player keeps telling me to use the built in amps, but, not to dis a practically free program, but the built in amps blow, at least after 10 years of marshall tube amplification they do. if anyone has any suggestions that might be helpfull on how i might resolve this, i would be your best friend for life and go to all your birthday parties

  • Please help with routing info

Hello, and thanks in advance for any help you can provide to my situation. I am looking to find the most stable and efficient way to route the following studio equipment. I am running Logic Pro 7.1.1 on a Mac dual 2.0 G5 (not intel), just got a MOTU 2408 mk3 as the PCI interface. I also just purchased a Mackie Onyx 800 R (8 pre-amps), as well as already having a Mackie 400 F (4 more pres, as well as being able to insert 4 channels of my ART Pro VLA outboard compression on the first 4 channels, before conversion into the computer, 'to tape' if you will). I don't need the 400 F's firewire or monitoring features anymore, as the MOTU 2408 mk 3 comes with a CueMix monitoring feature. Really I would just like to use the 4 pres with inserts.
I have 2 questions, one about audio routing and the other regarding clock source and syncing these devices in the best way. In terms of audio routing, the available digital outs on the 800 R are either ADAT or the DB25 ->AES/EBU or SPDIF connector. The 400 F unit adds another S/PDIF in/out (2 channels). The available digital inputs of the MOTU 2408 are 3 banks of 8 channels of ADAT lightpipe (up to 96kHz via S/MUX), 3 banks of TDIF via DB25 connectors, one bank of S/PDIF (only bank C), and one bank of 8 analog inputs via 1/4" balanced connections. These banks are interchangeable, except the S/PDIF only allowed on bank C. The 400 F provides an additional 8 analog inputs/outputs via 1/4" balanced.
Audio routing, is this right? To run the 800 R ADAT outs via lightpipe into one bank of OPTICAL of the 2408, say at 48k (so all 8 channels are sent with one cable, rather than splitting higher resolutions), then run channels 1-2 out of the 400 F via S/PDIF into the S/PDIF bank C in the 2408, and then channels 3-4 of the 400 F analog into the analog bank of 2408? I realize I would be 'double converting' these last 2 channels, first A/D on the Mackie and then A/D again on the MOTU. Any correction or insight is highly appreciated with audio routing.
    Sync Issues:
The 2408 mk3 provides many sync options, including WORD CLOCK OUT/IN. The Mackie 400 F also has WORD OUT/IN. The 800 R has WORD IN and a termination button. I know I probably need to eventually buy a Big Ben, but is it worth it to use Word Clock with the devices I have now? And if so, would the correct order be 2408 (master, set to 'Word Clock out' in the clock options of the audio control panel) -> into 400 F (set to external WC) -> into 800 R (set to external WC, then terminated)? Or does the lightpipe and S/PDIF take care of sync on each bank without the need for a master Word Clock. What would the setting be for the 2408 in any case?
Again, thanks so much for any help with this, I really appreciate it. This is my first post after much reading of this forum.
    Dual 2.0 G5   Mac OS X (10.4)   3 gigs RAM, Logic Pro 7.1.1

f stands for float. If you create a number literal 0.5, it defaults to be a double. You put a f (or F works too, I think) after it to indicate you mean it to be a float. The same thing happens for int/long. 2 is int 2, 2L is long 2. It's also similar, although probably more efficient, to this: (float)0.5 or (long)2. It's just a function of the language, nothing to do with the Color class or any other class.

  • Need help with Printer Setup conventions

I can't get my Brother printer to print from one computer--but it prints okay from the other computer on my network. I need to know the conventions for the Printer Setup Utility.
There's a checkbox by every printer on the list. What does it mean when the checkbox is grayed out?
Some printer names appear in bold. What does that mean?
    Thanx.

Thank you for your reply. I appreciate your help in this and just want to understand what you're saying.
As I say, the printer is displayed in the print dialog box but the checkbox is grayed out. I'm assuming that when you say "...it can't find/see them now," you mean the print dialogue can't see them (the drivers). Your last sentence confuses me. You say, "Do you maybe have Printer Sharing enabled & they aren't actually directly connected? If so you have to reboot after turning it off." A little confusion about your antecedents here. What isn't actually connected? The printer? So I have to reboot after turning it off, "it" I suppose is the printer, is that right? I will try that. So turn printer off, reboot, turn printer on. Right?
I will describe my problem. l thought that if I understood why the checkbox was grayed out I might see what my problem was. If you want me to start another topic I can do that.
Problem: I have a network with 2 computers and the Brother
multifunction fax/printer. I'm using an Apple airport hub. The printer
and one computer (Mac tower) are connected to the airport base via
ethernet. The 2nd computer (Apple laptop) is on the wireless network.
Until recently i could print from both computers. Now I can't print from
the tower. But I can still print from the laptop.
When I try to print from the tower I get an error message that says, "Cannot print from current printer." I have rebooted, reinstalled printer drivers, checked cables, deleted printer from printer list and re-added printer all to no avail. But as I say, I can still print from the laptop which is using Airport. So the printer prints, the hub connects to the printer okay (ethernet) and I know the tower connects to the hub (I can ping the printer okay from the tower.)
I am conversing to Brother support via email and their first suggestions I have already tried. Perhaps there's some problem in the network, but I can't figure it out. Worse yet, now when I go to the Network preferences I get an error message which says, "Your network settings have been changed by another application." THIS ERROR MESSAGE WON'T GO AWAY! I can click 'okay' but it reappears. I have to force quit the System Preferences to get out. If you can help with any of these problems I surely appreciate it.

  • Help needed with router setup. Bigpond wireless gateway and Airport Express

Now I know this is probably more a router question but it is to help my iPad wifi so heres what I have.
    ADSL2+ line in
    Bigponds Thomson TG782T Modem/router which is /b/g
    Airport Express /b/g/n
I am trying to set it up for maximum speed so basically I am trying to take advantage of the AE's /n.
I was hoping to use the Thomson as just a modem and use the AE as the router. Please correct me if this isnt the 'best way of doing it'. Can someone savvy give me a few pointers, would be greatly appreciated. cheers

You can download the user manual here (scroll down to Support) -> http://bc.whirlpool.net.au/bc/hardware/?action=hview&modelid=897
This screen is where you disable the Wireless Access Point. (ignore the red arrows - they aren't mine)
    Uncheck *Interface Enabled* at top.
@Chris........ Thanks for that..... yes I disable it. So much for Bigpond telling me it couldnt be turned off. I have the system up and running /n 5ghz multicast 5.5. iPad not fluctuating signal strength as much and loading a bit quicker. I think turning off the 2.4 running on the Thomson made a difference when running from the AES at 2.4 but much better with Thomson off and AES on 5ghz. So all up I am doing better thank you.

  • Need help with routing a network in VMware.

I have one network with the IP of 192.168.2.10. A router is setup with two networks. The first network has an IP of 192.168.2.3 and the second network has an IP of 192.168.3.2. Then there is one final network whose IP is 192.168.3.10. My goal is to set
up route table entries and have all the networks be able to ping each other. The route table entries I am referring to is the
route -p add command. If someone could help me understand what entries I should input so all the networks can ping each other, that would be great. Thanks. If you need a picture of the network, I have a diagram.

    Hi Brandon,
A diagram or picture will help us to understand your case.

  • Drop 'N Go subnet within pre-existing network - Help with routing please

    Hello All,
I would consider myself entry level at best when it comes to the Cisco ASA 5505, and I appreciate any help or direction that anyone would be able to provide regarding this issue I am having. I am sure there is something out there for this but I have not yet been able to figure this out with what I have found.
So we currently have our infrastructure setup like this: modem(69.14.72.6/255.255.255.248)->ASA(192.168.1.1)->Switch->Hosts and Servers(192.168.0.X\24).
What I am trying to do is drop in a small router somewhere within this network with its own subnet and be able to communicate back and forth to it from the 192.168.0.X network, so it will look something like this: modem->ASA->Switch->Hosts and Servers(192.168.0.X\24) && Hosts and Servers(192.168.1.X\24).
I would like to allow this traffic flow hopefully while only having 2 interfaces configured on the ASA (Outside 0/0, and Inside 0/1-0/5) and without modifying the configuration on the Switch. A few key phrases that come to mind from my search thus far are "Hair Pinning" and "same-security-traffic permit intra-interface". Also I am aware of port-forwarding, and as I understand it this would not be practical as I would have to configure a rule for every device connected to the 192.168.1.X\24 network.
I hope someone will be able to help me with this issue, I have been at this for 3 weeks now.
    Thanks again everyone!
EDIT: Here are is a diagram to help explain what I am trying to do. The area shown in red is what I am trying to add to the rest of which I already have.

    Hi,
I've made this in packet tracer (I had to use a router instead of ASA - but same principle applies.)
This is the classic "Router on a stick" topology.
Note: You'll need to create a trunk between the switch and R1 now that there are 2 VLANs.
    ## I've used 192.168.0.2 as the gateway address for the 192.168.0.x network, but you could in fact set up the router R1 with 192.168.0.1 as the subinterface, get everything configured, and then install the router and change the current internal address of the ASA (192.168.0.1) as per my example, at the very last minute. ##
The ASA will need a route added for traffic back to the 192.168.0.x and 192.168.1.x networks.
The 192.168.1.x network -- gateway will be 192.168.1.1
The 192.168.0.x network -- gateway will be 192.168.0.2
*There's no need for any of the subjects you mentioned:
"Hair Pinning" and "same-security-traffic permit intra-interface" or port-forwarding.

  • Help with router for new imac???!!!!!

I just bumped my cable internet speed up to the max I can get. I did a speed test with and without my router hooked up and my old Linksys router is really slowing it down. I have a Linksys Wireless-G router with speed booster.
My question is, Are there routers that are a lot faster??? And what one should I get to be compatible with my Imac. My Linksys one was a pain in the butt to hook up b/c Linksys does not have support for a Mac. Also, don't the setup discs they all come with only work on PCs????
    Help please !!!
    Thank you.

The current 802.1N specification is significantly faster than your G and has better robustness and range besides. Except for Apple's Airport basestations, all routers are configured via web-browser. In fact, just last week I set up a base for a colleague (don't remember offhand what brand) and all the so-called installation disk had on it was Adobe Acrobat and PDF files of the printed Quick Start Guide and manual that came in box.
It really isn't that big a deal setting up a new basestation but if you really want ease of operation, you can't beat Apple's Airport = and I'm looking forward to getting my hands on a TimeCapsule.

  • Help with DNS setup for LAN only

I have a Mac Mini SNS 10.6.8 as our company's local standalone fileserver.
Everything has ran great for the past year (still is), but now I want to try and setup DNS for more control and services.
The server host name is servername (no FQDN), which shows up in Server Admin as servername.local.
I read and followed Hoffman Labs great step-by-step, but must have missed something, since I still cannot get DNS resolution.
Here is a brief summary of the Server Admin settings:
              Host Name                    servername
              Host (Server) IP          192.168.4.2
Router IP (also default public DNS IP) 192.168.4.1
Bonjour                    Wide Area  =  Not enabled
Settings                    Accept recursive queries  =  localnets
Settings                    Forwarder IPs  =  8.8.8.8  &  8.8.4.4  (Google Public DNS)
now...          Zones                              1 Primary Zone  =  companyname.net (we own the domain)
                                            Primary Zone Name  =  companyname.net
                                            Nameserver Zone  =  companyname.net
                                            Nameserver Host Name  =  servername.companyname.net
                                            2 A Records:
                                            servername          192.168.4.2
                                            user1                    192.168.4.3
Reverse mapping - automatic - OK
    Testing          Ran sudo changeip -checkhostname
                        Results:
                                  Primary address          =          192.168.4.2
                                  Current hostname          =          servername
The DNS hostname is not available. Please repair DNS and re-run this tool.
I must be doing something wrong, but I don't know what it is.  Please help.

Did you intend to have both "example.com" and "example.net" listed there?  Are those domains really different?  I'm going to assume that was an obfuscation error.  (This is part of the "fun" of obfuscation, unfortunately.  Of having to differentiate errors in the actual configuration from errors that were introduced during the obfuscation.)
    >Oddly, even though I had manually assigned our Comcast gateway's DNS to Google DNS IPs, the gateway summary still shows up as Comcast's DNS server IPs.  So I removed the manually assigned Google DNS IPs from the gateway.
The gateway (or whatever you're using as your DHCP server) should be configured with the DNS server address of 192.168.4.2.  All other hosts on your network (if you're planning to use your local DNS everywhere on your LAN) should also reference 192.168.4.2, either through an explicit static configuration, or as the address that was received from the DHCP server.
And as for IP routing, are all your hosts, network printers, network gateways, DHCP servers, etc., all in the range of 192.168.4.1 to 192.168.4.254?  (They should be, if you're using a /24-class 255.255.255.0 subnet mask.)
But then I don't know where this configuration has gone off the rails...  (Over the years, I've seen and have made my own configuration errors, I've been "bagged" by DNS caches, and I've hit various bugs in DNS implementations.)  What you have stated here should work.
I'd start at the top of the DNS configuration article, and not stray from what is written there.   That there has been Google DNS and have had ISP DNS configured at the gateway does mean there were some areas that have strayed from the article.   I'd suggest following the DNS server configuration directions exactly.
Setting up DNS services with OS X Server isn't difficult, but it can be a little fussy.
If you don't understand something that's written in that article -- or if you believe you need to enter something different than what's listed there -- then please stop and ask about it.  Either ask here, or ask over there.  (This feedback also helps improve that article.)
Straying from what's written in that article is certainly and entirely feasible, but that's something best left until after the adminstrator is more familiar with running a DNS server.  Once you know how and why and where you can stray, there are all sorts of things you can do within a DNS configuration.

  • Help with DS setup

Sorry about the double post, but I accidentally changed DS to DSL in the Subject line with the Spell Checker.  That is how frustrated I am .
I bought a WRT54G2 router last year to hook up my Ipod touch to the internet.  I assumed that later I could use it for my DS as well.  Well I tried and failed.  I know my router isn't setup for WEP, and through reading other threads I have learned that is what is needed for DS.  I tried typing in the http://192.168.1.1/ all that comes up is a Verizon DSL page and nothing like what anybody has described.  I don't know where else to go to change the settings.  I don't have a wireless network tab when I go to my network connections through the control panel either.  My Ipod touch works great with my existing network, so I know I did something right when I set it up, but I am getting more and more frustrated trying to set this one up.  PLEASE HELP!! I am at my whit's end.  Although I am not computer illiterate and I completely network illiterate so please write to me in the most basic terms that you can.  thanks so much
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Hello Reneester, the reason why your Verizon home page comes up and not your Linksys page when you type in http://192.168.1.1 on the address bar because some DSL connection uses the same IP address just like your Linksys router (most especially your DSL provider which is Verizon). To get into the page of your Linksys router, you need to check what IP address your PC's receiving from your router.
How to do this? (follow this steps on the PC that is wired to the router)
    > click Start and click Control Panel
    > on the left side of your Control Panel, look for Switch to Classic View and click it but if you have Switch to Category View then your Control Panel is already on Classic View.
    > click on Network Connections
    > look for LAN connections and right-click it to bring up some options
    > click on Status
    > a small box will appear on the screen, go to Support tab and take note of the Default Gateway numbers. This is your router's IP address and this is the number that you need to type in on the address bar of your internet explorer.
    > once you've taken note of your Default Gateway, close everything and open Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox and type in the numbers.
    > hit Enter and it'll come up with a Username and Password box. The default router password is admin and just leave the username blank but if this will not work then try to remember the router password that you've setup when you first setup the router using the setup cd.
    Hope that helps! Good Luck!

  • I need help with my setup Please !!! 2800+ athlon xp

hi all .......... great forum here.....!!!
I am having probs with my new setup and I am at a wits end of what to do so i'll explain my problem.
I have just bought a AMD athlon 2800+ cpu for my mobo (KT3 ultra 6830e v.1.0)
and I am unable to run the chip at correct speed??
The bios wont boot the computer if I try to set the fsb for cpu at 166 ?? Am I correct in thinking that a 2800+ Athlon needs to be run at 166fsb to get the 333fsb setting?
I am currently running it at 133fsb and it is registering it as a AMD 2200+ chip ???
I am quite new to playing about with my bios but at the moment it is set at defaults on everything because i had to reset the cmos jumper about 8 times last night after trying different settings, in the end i gave up and thought i'd ask u guys for help???? Please !!!
I spoke to the shop i bought the chip from and we got talking about that when i set the fsb for chip to 166 it changed the ram settings to host clock + 66 (host clock was set at 100mhz) thus trying to make my 2100 ram(266) run at 2700(333) specs ?
Is this the problem why my computer wont boot when it is set to 166 fsb cuz it is asking the ram to be 333ddr when it isn't???
Is my problem going to be solved if i purchase some 2700 ram ?? if so i'll be quite happy, or is my board just not capable of running this 2800+ cpu on it???
i read up b4 i bought the cpu and i thought i was able to run this chip maybe i read wrong? any help would be greatly appreciated , oh i also flashed my bios to the most recent msi update which was 5.7 i think (AMI bios) and the flash was succesfull (LOL) very worrying!!!!
anyway hope i have explained my problem well enough as i myself am very confused!!!!
    Thanks in advance
    Dave

i have just had a look around the net and it looks like there are two versions of the 2600+ available one with 133/266fsb support and the other with 333fsb ???
Do u know that if i take my 2800+ back to the shop and change it for a 2600+ cpu if i should just get a normal one(133/266fsb) or get the 333fsb version???
as that link u posted for the mobo supported cpus only lists the 2600+ as being a 133/266fsb chip ???
I will get some 333ddr ram as well just incase i need this to allow the 2600+ to run correctly
Also (sorry to be a pain) but can you explain to me how to change the multipliers correctly to get full power from the chip ?? as i read that a 2600+ comes out at 1.91ghz standard , but i was reading a review where the user was told by AMD that it will run higher by changing fsb or multipliers (or both?) ???
Do u have to set the fsb to 133 and then change the multiplier to a value to up the speed or just keep changing the fsb alone and leave the multipliers alone ????
    Hope you can help me......
Thanks once again for your replys..

  • Need some help with VAT Setup

    Here is my scenario.
We're dealing with a partner in Germany. We will be shipping them parts from the US and need to slap on a 19% VAT surcharge when invoiced.
I can get the VAT to calculate correctly on the SO and Invoice, the issue is that it will not post to accounting because of the below error:
Tax statement item missing for tax code O1
    Here is my setup:
I am using condition type MWST, access sequence Country(US)/Destination Country(DE) Amount 19%, Tax Code O1
In OB40, under key MWS, I have the GL account entered for the Tax Code and Accounts are determined for Tax Code.
I looked at the GL itself and in the control section, the tax category has a * meaning all tax types are allowed. It's also configured to post w/o a tax code present.
I'm at a loss, is my setup missing something or completely incorrect?

After kicking this around for a few days I'm still lost as to the issue
The new error I get is "Condition type MWST tax code O1 does not exist".
"When calculating tax, the system tried to determine the
condition amount and the condition number from tables A003
and A053 using the specified condition type and tax code.
However, no values were found there."
I discovered this SoldTo had a jurisdiction code and as soon as I removed it, I got past the earlier error and run into this one now. It appears it defaults to the jur. code for our main office if one isn't assigned to the sold to. I looked at these tables and these are the condition tables behind the MWST access sequence for tax condition types.
Here is my scenario again, please help me confirm I am approaching it the right way.
Need to collect 19% VAT when shipping from US plant to Germany.
I am using condition type MWST on the pricing procedure and this has an entry in VK13 to apply the 19% tax based on source/destination country. This seems to be working, it pulls it in ok onto the order in the tax field. I am using tax code O1 in the VK13 entry. I assume this is used in conjunction with the TAXUSJ procedure and will be used to calculate the right tax amounts.
I assume that since the source country is US, the tax calculation procedure TAXUSJ is where I need to do any config. I added a MWAS condition type which points to AccKey MWS. However, in FTXP I cannot enter in any percentage here. The field is greyed out. Within VK12, the only options I have for tax codes are from TAXUSJ.
I'm assuming that when trying to post to accounting this is where it's getting stuck since it can't find an entry in the condition tables behind this.
Can someone who's more of an expert on this please confirm my approach is correct.  How can I get this tax in the TAXUSJ procedure?

  • Alittle help with dual-setup with ati radeon 5770

Hello everyone, I have been trying to setup a dual display with 2 flat panel monitors.
    1. A WestingHouse Digital Electronics "17"
    2. A Goldstar Company Ltd "23" (Main Display)
Im currently running the gnome desktop, what im trying to setup, is have both the gnome desktop show up on both monitors. For example if I wanted to move something from my main monitor to the smaller one to the left of me, I want to NOT be able to do that, and only have the mouse be able to move accross the 2. 2 Seperate desktops one 2 seperate screens. Im not quite sure what its called, Im thinking maybe its a clone Desktop? Anways, The graphics card Im using is an
Ati Radeon 5770, has 2 vga ports. I currently have the "video-ati" driver installed and works well with my main screen, but im unable to get my secondary screen (to the left of me) working. I tried going into System>>Preferences>>Monitors, and tried tinkering with the display, and tried enabling the 2 monitors and moving them from left to right, to see if that would possibly let it show up or start to function, but only the main screen works. I generated a new xorg.conf, since I didnt have one prior to installing Arch, I was following these to guides
    http://en.gentoo-wiki.com/wiki/X.Org/Dual_Monitors
    http://en.gentoo-wiki.com/wiki/X.Org/Dual_Monitors/ATI
both are very nice, but Im still not quite understanding yet. Defiantly am trying. I edited my xorg.conf a few times, but got the same results each time, just the screen going blank and X crashing.  I have here a copy of my xorg.conf, Xorg.conf.log, and xrandr output
    Xorg.conf

    Xorg-logs
http://pastebin.com/USZvtAMJ  (Im thinking the Vsync and Hsync have something that might help)
    Xrandr

    Thank you guys!

An xorg.conf may not be necessary, but I still find it nice to have the control that the file provides.
In looking over yours, I see several things that could be causing your problems.
First off,  I notice that you have Screen0  that is using Card0 and Monitor0.  This part looks ok.
When I look at Screen1, I notice that you are using  ATI Graphics Adapter1 and Monitor1.   I don't see entries for either of those, although you have an ATI Graphics Atapter2, but there is no entry for your second monitor.
I also notice that you are trying to use both radeon and fglrx as drivers.  As far as I know (and I don't have an ATI video card at the moment), you can use one driver or the other, but not both.
After you have these things fixed, then you can put in the Screen section in your server layout to describe the positioning of your second monitor.
All in all, the issues that you have to fix are minor,  but frusterating if you are too close to the situation.
    Good luck.
