I messed up with my pop3 etc. HELP me keep on getting error messages when sending pictures etc. from outlook.

Sending Pictures from Outlook 11 on Lion

Using latest version of Mac (I think it's Lion)
In Iphoto all pictures are organised by event in Iphoto.
When I come to attach a photo in outlook and view by event, it's not showing the event name.
I do this by : Open email>Click Attach> Chose Iphoto (under Media in the left navigation panel)>CHoose Events from Iphoto submenu in main right hand panel.
It shows all the events but not the name of the event.
I know I could click on Photos but my photos are not named, just numbered. I also have over 4000 photos and don't want to search throught them all each time I want to send a photo.
1) Is there a way to change the display of the events so I can see which one I need.
also:
2) Is there a way of sending photos so they are not sent full sized (on a pc you can send smaller versions) by changing a setting
and
3) when you click on the Picture button in an email, it inserts the picture into the email - full sized, again is there a way to send it in an email frinedly size from this button

sounds to me that it's a problem with gmail there end, have you tried asking them?

If you have been syncing with one computer and iTunes library only, and if you have been using the same Apple ID and iTunes account for all of your purchases - I'm going to take a wild guess that you have apps on the iPad that are not in iTunes on your PC. If that is the case ...
You need to transfer the purchased apps from the iPad to the PC first.
1) Without connecting your iPad to your computer, start iTunes. Click on Edit. Click on Preferences. Click on Devices. Check the box next to "Prevent your iPod etc. from automatically syncing." Click OK.
2) Now connect your iPad to your laptop and start iTunes.
3) When iTunes starts, right click on your iPad under Devices in the left column. Select Transfer purchases etc.
4) After it finishes transferring all your apps to your computer, right click on your iPad and select Backup your iPad.
5) Click on the Apps Tab in iTunes and make sure that you have a checkmark in the boxes next to the names of all of the apps that you want to Sync to the iPad. Make sure the Sync Apps heading has a checkmark in it as well.
6) Now click on Apply in the lower right corner of the iTunes window on the right
If everything on your iPad looks good after the sync, go back and click on Edit / Preferences / Devices and UN-check the box next to Prevent your iPod etc. The only other thing you may want to do is to double check that all of your photos, music, movies and everything else that you want are still on the iPad and if needed go into each tab in iTunes and select that content to sync and sync again before you disconnect from iTunes.

I've opened up a enhancement request with Apple. Photos is not ready for prime time in my opinion. I've tried to work around this issue by trying to attach a photo in Outlook, but the Photos media browser (which worked fine with iPhoto) does not work at all, either. Both of these features work fine when you're using Apple's Mail application. So it's either Microsoft doesn't support the new Photos, or Apple doesn't support Outlook.

I can't send email from Outlook 2007 through my WRT400N when Outlook displays the address with parentheses as in this example: Firstname Lastname ([email protected])
I can send if the address is in this form: Firstname Lastname <[email protected]>
I have tested with the ISP and nothing gets through the router when the problem occurs. When I bypass the router, both forms of address will send correctly. This problem is perfectly reproducible. My router is brand new, but the problem did not show up for about a week after installation. OS is Win7. Any ideas? Thanks.

If all you did was sync your phone, and if you haven't synced again since this happened, you can restore your phone from the backup that was created at the beginning of the sync process (camera roll photos are included in the backup). If you have synced again since this happened this backup has already been overwritten and your photos are lost. Also, if you restored your phone from the backup of your iPod, rather than just synced, then your photos are lost too.
If you have an intact backup that contains these photos, do the following:
Without connecting your phone, open iTunes on your computer and go to Preferences. On the Devices tab check "Prevent...from syncing automatically".
Connect your phone to your computer, right-click on the name of your phone when it appears in iTunes on the left sidebar and select Restore from Backup, choose your most recent backup to restore from.
When complete, you can go back to iTunes>Preferences>Devices and re-enable automatic syncing.

Did you check the Outbox of your mail account on your phone? Depending on the size of the photo or the data connection it can take a little longer to send it.

     If you have a mac: you could turn on your cloud service by making an apple id the going to setting then turning on icloud, then turn on photo sharing, do the same on you mac and all the photos that you take from your phone will now be on your mac.
If you have a PC: just simply email the photos to yourself, then open them from you computer

I had a similar problem in that my wife's iphone 5 could not send pics with imessage. Had to set the settings to default to SMS or whatever. After laboring many hours on the web I coincidentally was on the phone with the internet people to question my internet speed. They changed the router channel, which is something that I am capable of doing myself. After that, the pics go over imessage. My own Iphone didn't have the problem. We are both latest IOS 7.0.6.

Have you tried to delete the account from your Preferences and to Re-Enter it? That usually will help.
If not, try to use "Mail.app" as mail client in iPhoto and not iPhoto. Change the the stting in the Preferences > General tab to "Email photos using Mail". This is usually more robust thanthe setting "iPHoto".

TS4002 As of 4pm PDT, I cannot send email from Outlook via iCloud; my wife has the same problem. Where/how do I report this problem? Apple support seems to be available only if one is using a Mac product.

How do I export a set of pictures from iPhoto to Photos

My MacBook Pro now has OS X 10.10.3 and the new Photos app.
I have over 30K pictures in the iPhoto app in this laptop, and I do not have the need to sync all of these pictures with all of my iOS devices; I won't be using iCloud.
I was not able to determine if Photos can import sets of pictures from iPhoto; I could have imported all of my pictures from the iPhoto library but did not find out if Photos does have the option to import sets as per user's needs; I saw Photos allow the user to select those he/she wants to import but I don't think I would like to select these one by one from 30K photos.
I will like to transfer sets of these pictures selected by date taken from iPhoto and export them to Photos library I created in an external volume. I need to free some space in my HD.
Any suggestions?

There is no way to import from an iPhoto Library to a Photos one. You can migrate an entire Library at one time, that's all. Otherwise your choice is to export from iPhoto to the Finder, thereafter import to Photos.

Purchased extreme to replace modem/router DSL used telephone cord need help with set up

Prior to purchasing Airport Extreme had a standard modem/ wireless router from ATT for DSL. I have two macbooks both dropped connections while online with older modem.
Airport Extreme purchased to correct connection issues I need help with set up. The older modem just used telephone cord. I tried to use telephone with extreme it did not work.

you can't. the extreme is only a router. you need a separate modem (or disable the wireless part of your old router and use it as a modem - if that's possible).
