Help with Spam Whitelist
I manage a mailing list for a non-profit organization and recently, Verizon started rejecting e-mails being sent to verizon.net addresses, returning an error message indicating they were spam messages. I submitted the online whitelist request form 2 weeks ago and have have verizon.net members submit the form as well, to no avail! There has been no change nor has there even been a message received indicating if the matter is being investigated. The domain isn't on any domain block lists and I have a SPF record in DNS! Please Help!!
Since we haven't heard back from you or have received a form submission as requested in your private support case, it appears assistance is no longer required. If you need any future help with your Verizon service, please make a post here on the forums so we can assist.

Need Help With Spam Proof Email Form
I am making a new web site using iWeb, .Mac, personal domain and forwarding from my commercial host. I want to make an email contact form that spammers cannot hijack and use to deluge use with spam. I have another web site that was created with Dreamweaver that contains a javascript form that I think that I can modify and use as an html snippet in iWeb.
Will this work in iWeb (sending a form response to non-.mac email address? The form I am using relies on two small text documents that are stored in the templates folder of my site. The following code refers to the one line of text in the confige document.
<input type=hidden name="config" value="templates/confige.txt">
<input type=hidden name="success_url" value="http://myothersite.com">
<input type=hidden name="email" value="[email protected]">
Text of confige: mail_template=templates/emailTemplate.txt
The confige document refers to the following text which are the field names and order.
Name: <first>
Store Name: <store>
Location: <city>
E-mail: <custemail>
Platform: <platform>
Comments:<storeDescription>
How do I deal with the text documents that are stored in a separate folder in my Dreamweaver site, and can I eliminate these documents and use just the html form in iWeb?You might want to check out wufoo.com - very customizable

Help with Spam/virus!
I keep getting virus/spam in my (ipad) email inboxes, that my pc normally catches. And it is then sending out spam from my email to all my contacts. help!
You'll need to work with your email provider to filter spam messages, since there is no antispam filter on the iPad. Your iPad can't be sending out spam itself, though, unless the iPad was jailbroken. If spam is coming from your email account (or is purported to be), it's almost certainly coming from somewhere else.

Problems with spam filtering (specific and general)
I I am getting messages coming through that are OBVIOUS spam (phishing attempts from [email protected] and
[email protected] saying the at the account was frozen). The address is wrong in the bottom, the domains are obviously wrong, and we've seen these repeatedly. And yet they keep coming through. I was actually told that because it was marked as
NSPM by the filter it should have been delivered, but I'm appalled that it isn't getting marked as spam at all.
I was given a few options for creating manual rules (well, I can do that all day, but then why have a service?) and then reset my SPF and other content delivery conditions for future monitoring. But really what I want is a definite answer as to why something
that any person can look at and recognize is not getting picked up. It's pretty embarrassing to have moved to Office 365 and had spam protection get notably worse than it was under Postini. And then to have support tell me that it got delivered because
it was marked as NSPM ("I know it got marked that, but how in the world did that happen?"). We've been getting these off and on for months.
My more general complaint is how spam whitelists and blacklists are maintained. They are one step up from having to manually edit text files (which would actually be easier to do since I could search those easily). Again- this can't be the best Microsoft
has to offer, and given the global issue that spam has become I can't believe they aren't making this better more quickly.

Do you mean your client is list in the spam list by your Exchange Server?
If so, I think the most efficient way is to contact the Exchange Administrator to check the spam list.
Thanks,

Emails to my Verizon account are approximately 95% SPAM. Even though I have SPAM Detector activated, I rarely see more than 15% of the messages in the SpamDetector folder correctly trapped. By contrast, my work email SPAM (Cisco IronPort) correctly traps over 99+% SPAM messages.
I want to configure my Verizon webmail account with a “WhiteList” feature that directs all emails from senders NOT in my contacts directly to the SpamDetector folder. To date, I have not found any guidance from Verizon on this capability. Though a WhiteList feature exists for Verizon webmail, its purpose is to permit emails from senders that would otherwise be considered SPAM to go to my inbox. I don’t mind manually configuring that option. What I haven’t found is a process to explicitly state all email not in my WhiteList goes to the SpamDetector folder. Does Verizon offer such a feature?
Any guidance from those who read / monitor this forum is most appreciated. What I would really like to do is initiate a Chat discussion with someone at Verizon. Unfortunately, I haven’t found such a link. This forum was pretty much the closest.The "spam/virus" message often occurs because the email did not contain any text in the subject line. Please try re-sending an email to your printer and adding text in the email's subject line.
mails are mostly forward, I can confirm no subject issue
1. Are there any attachments being sent? If so, which attachment file type is being used (PDF or Word documents, JPG photos, etc)?
Some got attachment, some did not got attachment. PDF type, excel type and jpg photo type is the types of attachments that I attached when send print job.
2. Which email address/addresses are used to send ePrint emails?
[email protected], [email protected]
3. The results of a test email (success/fail) which will help isolate the source of the issue. Please follow the instructions below:
The result of test email is successful print out, but the purpose we use eprint center is for print out document we need on the way back to office then we can save time as the documents already standby there for us. But this spam issue has make this feature no user friendly, most of the time when we reach office the ducuments no print out then we have to reprint and it wasted our time.
I suggest it is best to let the allowed email address list equal to spam white list, so your spam engine would not filter out our email. All those email I forward to print are no verify by yahoo and gmail as spam, hope your server also do not. Thanks. -

''There are many other removal guide sites, but often they are designed to confuse you so you purchase paid support services. Most likely you won't need to do that in this case.''
Please also see our support article on cleaning up malware, and the specialized forums listed toward the end: [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware]].
In the short run, assuming an extension is to blame, you may want to use Firefox in its Safe Mode. That's a standard diagnostic tool to deactivate extensions and some advanced features of Firefox. More info: [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode]].
You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using either:
* "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
* Help menu > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
Not all add-ons are disabled: Flash and other plugins still run
After Firefox shuts down, a small dialog should appear. Click "Start in Safe Mode" (''not'' Reset). -
Need help with Workflow Issue: One notification sending out non-stop email.
Hi,
We've created a custom PO Approval Workflow based on standard PO Approval Workflow and we've had this for a while now. Last week, we encountered an issue where the notification keeps on sending email to the Suppliers and Buyers. We found out that the particular notification_id in the WF_NOTIFICATIONS table keeps getting updated by the minute setting the MAIL_STATUS to INVALID then back to SENT then back to INVALID again and so on. We think that whatever is updating this table is the cause but up until now we haven't found what's updating it. Below are some information of our instance.
Oracle Applications: 11.5.10.2
Database: 10.2.0.4 64 bit
OS: AIX
Custom Workflow based on revision 115.127.11510.16
Customizations:
- Created custom notification XX_EMAIL_PO_PDF_SUPP based on EMAIL_PO_PDF_SUPP.
- Created custom message XX_EMAIL_PO_PDF based on EMAIL_PO_PDF.
- Added #WFM_CC to XX_EMAIL_PO_PDF.
- Created custom attribute XX_PO_WF_EMAIL_PERFORMER and set as Performer to notification XX_EMAIL_PO_PDF_SUPP.
- Created custom function XX_ADDTL_STARTUP_VAL right after function "Set Workflow Startup Values". This function sets #WFM_CC attribute and XX_PO_WF_EMAIL_PERFORMER attribute.
Not sure if the customizations have anything to do with the issue since not all POs have this issue. Have anyone experience this? Would really appreciate any help with this.
Thanks,

Help with adding a hyperlink to a button?
We have a simple little site we built in Catalyst and everything works great. The only problem is that we cannot figure out how to add a hyperlink to one of the buttons in the animation. We simply want to be able to click on the button and go to another site (the client's Facebook page specifically). Can anyone provide some insight? Thanks!

Need help with PHP contact form
Hi guys,
I've made a PHP contact form for my site and need help with a couple of things:
The form action links an external PHP script (scripts/contact-form-script.php) but is there a way I can have it so the PHP script for the form is contained within the same PHP file as my contact form (contact.php)?
I tried just putting the form code at the top of contact.php but the browser automatically reads the anti-spam re-direct, so maybe that needs revising too?
The second thing is, how can I make the Name, Email and Message fields mandatory? So if a user tries to submit the form and hasn't filled in one of the required fields and clicks submit, contact.php reloads with a message at the top of the form saying something like 'Complete the required fields' and highlights the relevant field with a red border?
Here's the code for contact.php:
<form action="http://www.mydomain.com/scripts/contact-form-script.php" method="post" name="contact" id="contact">
<p><strong>Name:*</strong><br />
<input name="name" type="text" class="ctextField" /></p>
<p><strong>E-mail:*</strong><br />
<input name="email" type="text" class="ctextField" /></p>
<p><strong>Telephone:</strong><br />
<input name="telephone" type="text" class="ctextField" /></p>
<p><strong>Company:</strong><br />
<input name="company" type="text" class="ctextField" /></p>
<p><strong>Address:</strong><br />
<input name="address1" type="text" class="ctextField" /></p>
<p><input name="address2" type="text" class="ctextField" /></p>
<p><strong>Town:</strong><br />
<input name="town" type="text" class="ctextField" /></p>
<p><strong>County:</strong><br />
<input name="county" type="text" class="ctextField" /></p>
p><strong>Postcode:</strong><br />
<input name="postcode" type="text" class="ctextField" /></p>
<p><strong>Message:*</strong><br />
<textarea name="message" cols="55" rows="8" class="ctextField"></textarea></p>
<p><input name="submit" value="SEND MESSAGE" class="submitButton" type="submit" /><div style="visibility:hidden; width:1px; height:1px"><input name="url" type="text" size="45" id="url" /></div></p>
</form>
And this is the PHP I'm using to submit the form data for contact-form-script.php:

$to = "[email protected]";
$subject = "Contact from website";
$message = $headers;

Help with GMAIL in Mail Program....
Hi,
I am using the Apple Mail Program in Leopard and just picked up a Gmail account. I want to set up my Gmail account on 4 different computers work/home/laptop) that I access all the time and am hoping I can set it up so that wherever I check my mail it looks more or less like it does on Gmail.com with respect to the emails:
1. All mail that I've deleted on another computer is gone from all the other computers when checking mail on those other computers. Is that possible??? Currently, I use a bellsouth.net account and a .mac account, and when I log on to any of the computers via the mail program, it gives me all of my 'new mail', whether or not it was deleted on another computer.
2. Sent mail. Is there any way to send it on one computer's Mail program and have it show up in my Sent box on the other computers?
3. Ditto on Trash and other folders
I did try to set it up my Gmail account using IMAP but I thendeleted the account on Mail because it looked 'weird'. I had a Mailbox in my Inbox for the Gmail account and then also another whole separate, duplicate Gmail account (with All Mail, Drafts, Sent Mail, Spam, Starred, and Trash Folders) further down the left side of mail. In testing an email to gmail account from my .mac account, the mail ended up in two places in my Mail and deleting one did not delete the others.
If this cannot work, I can just go to gmail.com. BUT, I so love MAIL that I am hoping there is a fix to all this.
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.My recollection is that unless you are a paid Hotmail account member, you cannot use Mail. Do a search within the discussion group, as I am not an expert, but I recall not getting Hotmail for that very reason.
Perhaps give gmail a try.....
That said....I still need some help with my posting! So please and thank you. -
I need help with contacts.
Ok, I just recently got the Iphone 4s. I need some help with contacts. I ended up adding my hotmail contacts to my phone and now every time I add a new contact, it adds the person to my hotmail contacts instead of my All On My Iphone contacts. I don't like it because I am adding phone numbers, not necessarily with email addresses.
If you sent me a message right now and I went in and added you as a contact, it adds you to my hotmail contacts instead of my iphone ones for some reason. How can I fix this? And if I delete my hotmail account temporarily (and re-add it) will I lose the contacts that my phone put in there mistakenly?Well, I don't care if it makes a back-up of my contacts in my hotmail. But, I would like my contacts to go to my actual phone contacts. I call and text much more than I email and it would be nice to have to not wade through my email contacts to find someone I am looking to text, etc.
I know it's not a huge hassle, but I prefer to keep the people I contact most within my text/phone contacts, rather than email.
Also, if I opt to change my email service (hotmail gets a lot of spam), I don't want to lose phone/text contacts because I no longer use that email anymore.
I wouldn't even care if they appeared in both, for my most contacted. I just would like to have them in my phone book without having to add them all by hand. -
Why are Contact Forms being pounded with SPAM?
Is anyone else experience an unusually high volume of SPAM in thier contact forms?
I have two clients getting pounded with SPAM.
Thanks in advance for your help.The spam stopped once we applied the filters for the Comments and the Akismet is sitting there in the system now so they just need to fully role out the control into forms which will do a lot.
The Amazing thing with that which I need to check with the engineers that I thought is that BC is run by BC, so if they are using Akismet I want to check to see if they are pooling all the spam filters applied on all BC sites into one central database that ALL sites have access too. If they are doing this - SWEET, if not I am going to suggest they do.
THat would mean if your being spammed what you block will mean sites I build will not get those same spam and so on.
Making the captcha more secure agaisnt OCR will make them harder to use so there is negatives you got to weigh up. -

Help with if statement in cursor and for loop to get output
I have the following cursor and and want to use if else statement to get the output. The cursor is working fine. What i need help with is how to use and if else statement to only get the folderrsn that have not been updated in the last 30 days. If you look at the talbe below my select statement is showing folderrs 291631 was updated only 4 days ago and folderrsn 322160 was also updated 4 days ago.
I do not want these two to appear in my result set. So i need to use if else so that my result only shows all folderrsn that havenot been updated in the last 30 days.
Here is my cursor:
/*Cursor for Email procedure. It is working Shows userid and the string
You need to update these folders*/
DECLARE
a_user varchar2(200) := null;
v_assigneduser varchar2(20);
v_folderrsn varchar2(200);
v_emailaddress varchar2(60);
v_subject varchar2(200);
Cursor c IS
SELECT assigneduser, vu.emailaddress, f.folderrsn, trunc(f.indate) AS "IN DATE",
MAX (trunc(fpa.attemptdate)) AS "LAST UPDATE",
trunc(sysdate) - MAX (trunc(fpa.attemptdate)) AS "DAYS PAST"
--MAX (TRUNC (fpa.attemptdate)) - TRUNC (f.indate) AS "NUMBER OF DAYS"
FROM folder f, folderprocess fp, validuser vu, folderprocessattempt fpa
WHERE f.foldertype = 'HJ'
AND f.statuscode NOT IN (20, 40)
AND f.folderrsn = fp.folderrsn
AND fp.processrsn = fpa.processrsn
AND vu.userid = fp.assigneduser
AND vu.statuscode = 1
GROUP BY assigneduser, vu.emailaddress, f.folderrsn, f.indate
ORDER BY fp.assigneduser;
BEGIN
FOR c1 IN c LOOP
IF (c1.assigneduser = v_assigneduser) THEN
dbms_output.put_line(' ' || c1.folderrsn);
else
dbms_output.put(c1.assigneduser ||': ' || 'Overdue Folders:You need to update these folders: Folderrsn: '||c1.folderrsn);
END IF;
a_user := c1.assigneduser;
v_assigneduser := c1.assigneduser;
v_folderrsn := c1.folderrsn;
v_emailaddress := c1.emailaddress;
v_subject := 'Subject: Project for';
END LOOP;
END;
The reason I have included the folowing table is that I want you to see the output from the select statement. that way you can help me do the if statement in the above cursor so that the result will look like this:
emailaddress
Subject: 'Project for ' || V_email || 'not updated in the last 30 days'
v_folderrsn
v_folderrsn
etc
[email protected]......
Subject: 'Project for: ' Jim...'not updated in the last 30 days'
284087
292709

Subject: 'Project for: Joe...'not updated in the last 30 days'

183881
183882
183883
183884
183886

This table is to shwo you the select statement output. I want to eliminnate the two days that that are less than 30 days since the last update in the last column.

How do I incorporate a if else statement in the above cursor so the two days less than 30 days since last update are not returned. I do not want to send email if the project have been updated within the last 30 days.
