Help with turnig off nano and short songs (PLZ HELP!!!)

i have no idea what any of this stuff is with discussions but i need help.
1) my iPod won't turn off. I have held down the pause/play buttin and have also left it alone on pause for over an hour and it still wont turn off. all other buttons work just fine. the play/pause button still plays and pauses when i push it but it just wont turn off.
2)some of my songs are cut short by about 30 seconds at the end. down at the bottom of my iPod, it says the full time, but when it has about 30 seconds left, it goes to the next song
PLEASE HELP!!!! I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT TO DO!!!!!!!

i have the same problem, i can't turn off my nano, when i trying to turn it off it take no effect(pressing a play\pause button for 10 seconds wont't turn it, when i take off my finger from button it just "pause"). I'm tryed to fix this problem by reinstalling ipod update, reset from ipod menu have no effect, when i go to ipod test menu i reset it... guys plese help me can't stand when something goes wrong. You cannot use iTunes under Windows 98/ME. For just synchronizing tracks with your iPod, you could get a third-party utility such as Anapod, Ephpod, or Xplay for handling the transfer. I haven't used any of these and I don't know if any support the new iPod nanos, so I can't make any recommendations. These applications cannot connect to the iTunes Music Store, so unless you upgrade, you won't be fully supported and will not be able to purchase tracks from the iTMS.
I strongly suggest you consider upgrading your version of Windows, though. Windows ME is no longer supported by Microsoft and it's going to get harder and harder to find applications that will work under 95/98/ME.

interesting occurance with 1gb ipod nano and on-the-go playlist creation might be helpful to some.
NOTE: the feedback form isnt up to date for software versions for 1gb ipod nano (newest here is 1.1.1 but i have 1.3.1).
it seems i cannot create on-the-go playlist by holding album OR artist, with my 1gb ipod nano with VERSION 1.3.1 software, if there are various sizes of playlists in my ipod. i had about 4 playlists with 1 song in them and 2 -3 playlists with 5 - 30 songs in them. total space on ipod used was about 400mb of 896mb and about 1500 songs (most poor quality to save space (18-48kbs - i noticed some of the lower qualities have overtones of whistle or cricket like sounds (i have many ambient songs birds, thunder storms, etc)).
i just manually deleted ALL playlists also deleted 945 songs on my ipod with itunes, and now i am able to do it. i can even do it now with composer or genre etc (which isnt listed in the playlist creation instructions). i now have 612 songs with 113mb free.
p.s. i tried to leave this as bug feedback but got a strange message that was like a command pointing to a thank you for leaving feedback page.

I have got this problem with my new 8gb nano too. Its very sad I had my mini stolen from my person whilst in a hospital bed dozing and it worked from the same itunes list and I could add albums or artists or songs now on the new replacment nano I can only add songs. Very annoying, please let me know if anyone can solve this. I too have reset and restored it numerous times. I am in the uk I think you are in the states.

I have the same problem. It is only with tv shows and only with programs I have downloaded after the software update.
Apple support sent me the above link too....but it doesn't solve the problem...my computer is authorized and the content is in my library and will play on my Mac air, but it will not sync the tv shows, it keeps saying my computer isn't authorized for it.

As long as the adapter is 2 pronged, then you should be able to use it without any problems.

Connect the iPod to your computer and select it on the left-hand sidebar of your computer's iTunes (if you have iTunes 11 on your computer then you can enable the sidebar via option-command-S on a Mac, control-S on a PC), and then on the right-hand side you can use the Music tab to select which of your music that you want on the iPod.

Strange photos and short songs

Hi all, I have an Ipod Nano and it is good except recently (I have had it for about a month) it has started to not play the complete songs which it used to (cutting 30seconds off the end) and album art I placed on certain songs has been replaced with photos I have never seen before and when I push the menu button to see the picture enlarged, it is a different one. Please tell me what my nano is doing. Thanks, Chris

I was thinking that me and the others who bought Nanos in October and have this problem had got a bad batch of discs from the assembly in China, but if you had your Nano much earlier than this it may be a software problem.
Have you changed software recently (like upgraded to iTunes 6.01)?

Are there problems with the 5g nano and previous games?

I just got the 5g nano to replace my video and i bought two 99 cent games because well, they were only .99. Chinese Checkers and Reversi. When i play the game, the screen keeps shifting. Before you say you are rotating it and the accelerometer is detecting it, this happens when it is laying flat on the table without me touching it. I'll make my move, and then the other people will go, and then it will point to my item that i want to move, only its not in the position its pointing at. If the board were flipped it would be correct. Kinda hard to explain, but if it happens to you, you will understand.

What are the system requirements of the games you purchased? Game compatible with 5th gen nano?

TS1424 i downloaded an album off itunes and one song out of 11 does not play? what to do?

I bought and downloaded an album off itunes and all only 10 of the 11 songs play. One song will not play, it gets skipped right over. How do it get that one song to play, how can i re download just that one song?

If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copy of the track and try redownloading a fresh one.
Otherwise, I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the item that is not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the entry, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" link next to the item.
(Not entirely sure what happens after you click that link, but fingers crossed it should be relatively straightforward.)

HP 6525 Photosmart Blue screen with On/Off icon and "B8564450" message

Found my HP6525 in the following state:
- Blue screen, with an On/Off icon and various error messages
- Cannot turn printer off; press On/Off switch and HP logo appears and then an new or same Blue Screen appears with the same or different error message all starting with the letter "B"
- Removing power cord from printer, and reattaching results in same scenario
- cannot really turn printer OFF, just multiple instances of the Blue Screen on display
- Cannot do anything else since there are no other controls other than the touch-screen.
- Printer was set up for Wireless/Bluetooth operation with the two computers having wireless access being a
- Windows 7 Laptop
- Apple iPad
Both worked flawlessly before this???
What happened??
-Unfortunately, this is the FIRST occurrance of this level of issue with a long line of HP inkjets?????

This seems like a hardware issue, I would suggest calling HP @8004746836 and see what options they have to replace or repair the printer.

I just got an ipod nano and every song shuts off halfway through . . .

I am sorry to upset you, but what I am describing here is exactly what is happening.
If your 6th Gen Nano turns off when the screen goes dark, then that is because the Nano has not detected the headset as inserted. That is what is is supposed to do under 1.1 in order to save battery power. If it does not detect a headset, it pauses the Nano when the screen darkens.
The question is WHY is it not detecting the headset. My post above completely explores the ways to solve your problem. If after doing what I describe it still does not work, then you should take it to the Apple store since the physical headset jack may have a defect.

It sounds like you have a newly purchased song that is not syncing to your iPod Nano, but there is no error message. I would start by restarting your computer, and resetting your iPod with this article:
