Help with Updating Data Fields in Merged Document

I'm working in InDesign CS5 v7
I have a multipage report, all using one master page for about 80 seperate records. Each page has their own linked graphs/images.
We now have need to alter the source data, and while these alterations can be seen in 'Preview mode' on the Master Page, they are not carrying through into the pages themselves. No amount of 'Update Data Source' clinking changes this, and the 'Update Content Data Fields' remains greyed out...
I really don't want to have to remerge the whole document, as I will loose all of the linked graphs and images.
Can anyone help?

Help with a date field script

Sorry if this is a repeat. I was interrupted and found that my browser had crashed when I came back so I'm not sure if the question got asked.
I need a script for a date field (mm/dd/yyyy) where the user can only fill in a date that is between 12/31/1899 and the current date (whatever the date when the form is opened). I'm getting better at writing these but I haven't been successful with this one. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Help with the date field!!! in opportunity

hello friends!!!!
I have a requirement that in opportunity tab milestone we have created date profile with 4 different date types and position them to milestone tab in opportunity header data.
Now the issue is out these 4, 2 of them we wish to have as mandatory fields
date type                     desciption
ZNOH_CONTSIG          Date of signature
ZNOH_COSTART         Contract Start Date
Can you please help how is that possible..
what procedure will it be behind this !!

I have awarded you 6 points for your helpful answer as it didn´t solve my question posted here but a related issue was solved.
I tried to use the incompletness procedure and also the badi but in both the ways you can check for a field but in my case in opportunity tab milestone
it looks like an ALV with CRM concept it has date profiles behind that using date management in SPRO. Please have a look if possible.
Any help would be gr8 and any ideas from people which can give me any infos about it will be great!!!!!!!!!!!

Urgent help with Updating data

I have two tables
D.S of table1 is
invoice date vendor
2233 11/1/2003 Microsoft
2244 11/1/2003 IBM
2255 11/1/2003 APPLE
a2233 11/1/2003 PCS
The primary key is the invoice and vendor.
This has like 100 rows.
Then the other table has
id invoice referno trans1 trans2 trans3
2233 a1234 20 30 40
2233 a1345 20 20 20
2233 a1456 20 10 10
2233 a1444 10 1 50
2244 a3333 10 1 20
2244 a4444 20 1 1
and so on and this one has thousands od entries
I need to add a primary key on this table because i do not have one so i added id column in there now i need to update id i.e enter data in that which if with a composite primary key constraint with invoice will have values like 1,2,3,4 like
id invoice referno trans1 trans2 trans3
1 2233 a1234 20 30 40
2 2233 a1345 20 20 20
3 2233 a1456 20 10 10

Can someone tell me a query to update this table field id so that i have data like that and then i can add a composite key constraint on that.

How can I update data fields in a merged document ?

Hi,
I'm looking for a way to update the values of data fields in a merged document with a script just as you can do with the user interface.
I don't find any method like "updateDataFields ()" in the DataMerge object.
Si I try to invoke the menu action "Update Data Fields", but it fails. The script error message is: "Error 53762, the script is not active." On the contrary, the action works if I use the interface.
Can anyone help me?

Take the Substring Function From Text Functionsand mention the position from 0 to 10 to take the Date alone from the Whole String which is getting in Source Field.
And after that apply the Transform date Function fron Date Functions and mention the source date format and the target date foramt that needs to convert into.

Report doest get refreshed with updated data

Hi All,
I am facing a strange problem, where my report doest get refreshed with updated data when it’s called second time.
1.     Screen1 – Preview option – Preview Screen
2.     Preview Screen – Print option (Button) – Report generated and displayed in the IE Browser window with a dynamically generated PIN (Query written in WHEN-BUTTON-PRESSED trigger)
3.     Screen2 is displayed in the backend
4.     Screen2 – Cancel option – Screen1
5.     Screen1 – Preview option – Preview Screen
6.     Preview Screen – Print option (Button) – Report generated and displayed in the IE Browser window with a same PIN as in step2. Actually here the Query written in WHEN-BUTTON-PRESSED trigger generates a new PIN.
7.     When checked in the backend this new PIN is updated, but the same is not displayed on the Report. That means to say that report is not refreshed. When I click on the refresh button in the IE Browser window explicitly, the report is refreshed and displays the PIN as found in the backend.
What I expect is that the report should get refreshed automatically with a new PIN, when I choose Print option in Preview Screen.
Can anybody help me in overcoming this challenge?

Hi All,
What i did was i encoded the PIN and sent it as a paramter to call the report.
In the report i decoded the PIN and printed it. This way my URL to call the report was always updated with the decoded PIN value and would refresh the page successfully, everytime its called.

Error while updating Date Field on Process Form.

Hi,
I am using java code to pre-pop date on the process form.First I used a java code whic took java.sql.date as input and returned the same java.sql.date.But it gave an error that:java.lang.String cannot be converted to java.sql.date.......
So I changed the java code and now it takes string as input and returns java.sql.date. This code works fine for Pre-pop adapter and the date is populated on the process form.
But when i use the same code in a Process Task adapter to update the date, then it gives the following error:

MAC OS 10.6.8 Using Safari 5.1 Needing Help With Updating Adobe Flash

Hello-
Recently Adobe Flash installed an icon in my System Preferences and when I click the icon there are several tabs. One allows updates to check automatically. It says it will install the latest version of Flash without having to remove the previous version, but I have never been told that a newer version is available unless I clcik "check now." although "Check for updates automatically" is checked, I do not know where it tells me a newer version is available. Also, there has been 5 "newer versions" available since this icon was installed in System Prefeences, I have only found out about the newer versions when I clicked "Check Now." If I read that with this new way to install the latest Mac version of Flash does not require me to uninstall the previous version of Flash how do I install the most recent version of Flash? Does it come in an email?
Since it is not telling me that there is a more recent version of Flash unless I click "Check Now" should I still do it the way I used to install the latest version of flash? (The way before this icon was added to System Preferences)?
I would appreciate help with updating Flash to the most recent version. I used to uninstall the older version, restart the browser and download the most recent version and install it. It always worked find but this was before there was an Adobe icon in my system Preferences.

The way you used to do this (uninstall, restart the browser, etc.) is still definitely valid and probably the "safest" way to get a new version installed. Uninstalling shouldn't be required, but it definitely doesn't hurt. If you feel comfortable doing it the old way, please feel free to continue using that process.
As for notifications, this is a bit trickier, but in general you should be notified within 30 days (or so) after a new player is released. This usually occurs when the browser loads swf content. Clicking the button will, like you mention, immediately check. Another alternative to finding out when a new player is released is to subscribe to our Flash Player Releases feed.
Is there a way to be automatically notified when a new Flash Runtime release is made?

Update Date field automatically

When a user is adding a new entry I want two of the fields in the table to be automatically updated without the user knowing (hidden fields), I want a current date and time to be entered into the Updated Date field and the :APP_USER to be entered into the Updated_by VARCHAR2 field.
How do I go about doing this can I just put code to do so into the source of ITEMS or do I have to create a process?

Help with updates - The software change returned error code 0x87D00215(-2016411115).

I have rolled out bunch of updates across few hundred workstation systems.
Few of the desktops have failed to install SOME of the updates and just can't get my head around as to why?
Looking at one of the workstations, I can see 5 updates are pending download at 0%.
Some of these fail after a while and with in Software Centre, I can see 'Help with updates - The software change returned error code 0x87D00215(-2016411115).'. Not exactly sure what this means, but I have tried clearing the cache and
rebooting the workstations few times.
(I have also tried to use Windows Update and install one of these manually, which worked.)

Investigating this further, I have found the following in CAS.log:
