Help with using AIR 2.6 SDK in Flash Pro please
Hello,
I notice the air 2.5 sdk installed with a Flash Pro update. I want to start using the 2.6 sdk, but for the love of me I cannot find simple instructions on how to do that. I downloaded the sdk, but do I need to replace something, or install something, etc? Can someone point me to a resource or explain exactly what I need to do so I can start using the 2.6 sdk in Flash Pro?
Thanks in advance

I would like to inquire how to use air 2.7 sdk in flash cs5.5.
I would like to inquire how to use air 2.7 sdk in flash cs5.5.
I have searched some solutions online and tried to copy air2.7 content in air2.6 folder(replaced the old one). I then did some efficiency tests but I don't see any improvements at all. Did I miss anything?
Besides that, There's a display ratio problem if I publish the ipa in landscape mode. I can't interact with the program either. But it is not a problem if the ipa is published in portrait mode.http://forums.adobe.com/thread/864964?tstart=0

Am i allowed to publish an app made with the AIR 3.5 SDK in the app-store yet?
Hello,
Am i allowed to publish an app made with the AIR 3.5 SDK in the app-store/android market? Im quite confused about this since AIR 3.5 has already been released yet the SDK remains in Beta.
I know that in the past it was not allowed to publish an App with an Beta-version of an SDK.
Can anyone clear this up for me?
Kind regards,AIR 3.5 beta removed the watermark, and I actually released an app to the app store with the beta version. I'm not sure if Adobe intends to continue with this for future releases or if it was just for iPhone 5 stuff that needed to be released quickly. AIR 3.5 is currently out of beta though and was actually updated today, so feel free to use it to submit apps to whichever app store you would like.

How can I overlay AIR 3.5 SDK in Flash Builder 4.7?
I'm trying to overlay the new Air 3.5 sdk in Flash Builder 4.7 but the option to use specifed sdk is unavailable in the project preferences. What is the solution here?
Hi,
Can you please let me know whether you have overlaid it on Win/Mac?
When you have created the mobile project what does app.xml show? for example if you have 3.5 overlaid you should be able to see something like this in app.xml
<application xmlns="http://ns.adobe.com/air/application/3.5">
For overlaying AIR 3.5 SDK on Flex SDK 4.6 locally following the instructions mentioned in the below url and then create a Flex Mobile project using that SDK.
Overlay help document link : http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/multi/how-overlay-air-sdk-flex-sdk.html
Let me know if you need more information.

Overlay AIR 3.3 sdk for Flash Builder on Snow Leopard
The AIR 3.3 sdk is now a DMG, used to be a .tbz2 zip file, and there is no merge capabilities with Snow Leopard..
How can I overlay AIR 3.3 sdk for Flash Builder 4.6 on Snow Leopard 10.6.8?
Also I may have Lion soon so can you provide steps for FB overlay of the DMG on OSX 10.7?
Many thanks.
PS.I am dumbfounded there is no documentation on this by Adobe release after release? For OSX users there is an old Adobe KB article that I can't find anymore, there is a youtube video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S118mZjln3I) I recommend, and a post most mac/FB users use (http://jeffwinder.blogspot.com.au/2011/09/installing-adobe-air-3-sdk-in-flash.html) and none of them remind you to use sudo before the terminal command..Thanks eran1976 here is the OSX 10.6.8 process that worked for me:
1. open the 3.3 sdk DMG and copy all the files into a new emty folder called say AIR33SDK or whatever in your sdks directory
2. asuming your current Flash Builder sdk with air3.2 or older is called 4.6.0, open terminal and run:
3. sudo cp -Rp /Applications/Adobe\ Flash\ Builder\ 4.6/sdks/AIR33SDK/ /Applications/Adobe\ Flash\ Builder\ 4.6/sdks/4.6.0/
4. you can now delete AIR33SDK folder if you wish
5. open Flash Builder and change any existing project xml application files to 3.3
5. remember to backup your 4.6.0 folder first -

Help with using multiple hard drives
Is there a way to install the OS on an "external" (expresscard SSD) drive, but have all of the library and data files on the primary hard disk? I LOVE the speed on my SSD, but it's a pain finding stuff now. Is this something a RAID configuration could help with?
mwmmartin wrote:
I have a 1 TB hard drive; but I have a 500GB and 250GB usb external hard drives.
Wouldn't it be cool if I could make the two external hard drives a RAID drive and use Time Machine to use all the 750GB of external memory to do my backups???
You can, but I would +*strongly recommend against+* it. See +Concatenated RAID+ in the Help for Disk Utility.
There are several potential problems:
Depending on how much data is on your 1 TB drive, 750 GB may not be enough to back it up. See #1 in Time Machine - Frequently Asked Questions (or use the link in *User Tips* at the top of this forum).
To set up a +Concatenated RAID+ set, both drives will be erased.
When (not if) either drive fails, you'll lose all the data on both.
Both drives must be connected any time you do a backup or want to browse your backups.
Especially with USB, if one drive wakes from sleep, or spins up, quickly enough, but the other one doesn't, the backup may fail and/or your backups may be corrupted.
For now, it looks like my only solution is to go buy a bigger external hard drive and spend more money,,,
That's your best solution +*by far.+* Anything else is taking a large risk with your backups. -
Need help with using Solaris FLAR across disparate platforms
All,
I need help with what needs to be done to use solaris Flash for disaster recovery between the disparate Server platforms listed below.
I am concerned about the platform specific files that would be missing?
Note: All our servers are installed with the SUNWCprog cluster through Custom jumpstart and We use disksuite for mirroring the operating system drives.
Primary Server Recovery Server
Sun Fire 6800 Sun Fire E2900
Sun Fire E2900 Sun Fire 6800
Sun Fire-880 Sun Fire-V440
Sun Fire-V440 Sun Fire-880
Sun Fire 4800 Sun Fire-880
Sun Fire-V890 Sun Fire 4800
Mejds2n,
Is it possible to get around installing the Entire Distribution + OEM and include only the platform specific files?
Just a thought
Example:
I would like to create a Flash Archive of a E2900 server which i plan to use to recover a 6900.
The 2900 was installed with a developer cluster.
When creating the Flash archive of the 2900 is it possible to add the 6900 platform specific files and drivers
from the Solaris CD?

Help with using a web page from disk after saved from web
Hi, I almost forgot the little I learned about web page development, so, I'm a total noob when it comes to this and I need your help.
I saved as a complete web page on my hard disk this web page but when I open it in Firefox or IE, it doesn't display as much as I need it. I'm mostly interested in displaying the logo images as they appear on the original web page. The browsers just show them briefly when refreshing but hide them right away. I can see the image files downloaded to my hard drive and if I open the page in Dreamweaver it displays these images in the preview pane but I can't make them show in the browsers. From Dreamweaver I saved the page as in the folder where the images are and this also updated the code with the relative image links but the browsers still don't show them.
I will greatly appreciate your help with this.I'm sorry, but your post is very confusing
I saved as a complete web page on my hard disk this web page
Does this include site definitions?
when I open it in Firefox or IE, it doesn't display as much as I need it.
I dont know what this means...are there images that are not being displayed? Is there styling that is not being rendered?

Do you have a link to the page, and perhaps some explanation that is more clear as to what your issue is.

How to use AIR 2.7 runtime in Flash Builder 4.5.1
As you know FB 4.5.1 comes with AIR 2.6 SDK but I have to use 2.7 SDK.
So I downloaded the AIR 2.7 SDK and copied the files (folders) over to the FB installation directory (under sdks/4.5.1 folder)
I am afraid this didn't work because now my FB can't even recognize the SDK.
What am I doing wrong? Where can I get instruction to upgrade?http://forums.adobe.com/thread/864964?tstart=0

Install adobe air 3.2 sdk to flash cs5?
I am trying to install the air sdk to flash cs5, but all I can find are flash cs5.5 instructions. I attempted to follow the instructions on this blog: http://blog.michaeljbowen.com/?p=116
The option to publish shows up, but I get these errors when I attempt to go into settings or publish a file:
(for air 3.2)- Atline 1 of file "Apollo_OpenSettingDialog.jsfl":ReferenceError: Air2_5 is not defined
(air for android 3.2) - Atline 1 of file "Apollo_OpenSettingDialog.jsfl":ReferenceError: Air2_5_Android is not defined

The only instructions I can find are for flash cs5.5... Can anyone help me get it working in flash CS5?Try this but use AIR 3.2:

Help With Kernel Panic in Mid 2012 13" Macbook Pro
I have a 13" Mid-2012 Macbook Pro.
2.5 GHz Intel Core i5 / 8GB Memory
OS X 10.9.5
Recently I have been getting kernel panics / grey screens of death. From the Console logs, it appears I have had four kernel panics since September 22.
I am not aware of any particular thing I can do to produce the error.
Some things I've tried:
Disk Utility (this generally returns no errors. However, once it asked me to boot to recovery mode to run Disk Utility there)
Disk Utility in recovery mode (No errors)
single user mode fsck -fy (No errors)
Apple Hardware Test, extended mode (No errors)
Observed Console logs for kernel panics (I am not sure how to parse these)
Other details about the setup/environment:
No peripherals
I did see one update About the OS X Mavericks v10.9.5 Update that I had not installed until tonight. Since September 22, I have installed 3 such updates.
No anti-virus
Hard drive is mostly empty
File Vault is on
I hope this is not poor form but I thought I would post some snippets from my kernel panic logs here to help with assessment. I removed some information that looked like it might include personal identifiers and also the "loaded kexts" portions because of their length. If those are helpful I could post them.
Any help diagnosing this problem would be appreciated.

I did run and pass a memory test last night, but thank you for noting that this may not be conclusive.
Do you see anything else notable in the logs, that would suggest anything other than a memory problem? What would be the best way to test it? Last night I used Rember . Assuming that you don't identify anything else, would the next step be simply memory replacement?
Logs below.

Help with usb Midi controller on brand new machine! Please!!
I just unboxed my macbook pro 13" non-retina and updated to 10.9.1, installed a few of my apps, etc. I'm having a meltdown over my midi-controller not being recognized. It is a Roland A-49 USB Midi Keyboard controller that is not powering on. It runs off bus power just fine in my older 15" MBP and also from my '12 Mac Mini. When I pull up the system profiler, under USB it reads to me:
How can I get this working properly?Hi there, been a viewer of the discussions here for a while & felt compelled to finally sign up to hopefully offer some help with this problem as I had exactly the same when I first got Logic Pro.
The problem is more to do with the sound setup than the controller keyboard as logic is sensing midi data as you have seen in the transport.
I would suggest firstly (Hopefully Pro & Express are the same in these respects) clicking on the Logic Express tab in the top left, then Preferences, then Audio.
In the box that appears select the Drivers tab. Then make sure that the Core Audio check box is ticked. Under that make sure that you output source is selected (ie your interface if using monitors, or built in Audio if not)
Hopefully this should help.
The simplest to test your sound is by clicking on the Audio tab (3rd or 4th along at top) & opening the Loop Browser, choosing a catagory & draging a sound onto a track.
Remember to click on the track you will be dragging onto to select it & in the Loop Browser Blue loops go onto audio tracks & green onto instrument tracks.
Now with testing the controler keyboard...
Click on an instrument channel, then goto the bottom left of the screen where you will see that channels fader.
Above the fader click on the I/O (you may have to click & hold here) choose either mono or stereo, then choose say the EXS24 & try you keyboard.
Hit * on the numeric keypad & play something, then hit space to stop & you will have your 1st region.
I hope this helps with you problem, Logic can be confusing at times but is worth sticking with.
Good luck -
Need HELP with my Lenovo Thinkcentre 8808-94u... Please!
Hi all,
New to the forum. I have a lenovo thinkcentre 8808-94u. I use it soley for my hobby cnc. I have lots of time comsuming files on this computer that I didnt back up. (stupid I know).. Anyway, I moved and didnt set it back up for about 4 months. Its been indoors for about a little over a month but the other 3 months it was in the back of my tahoe. Before then I had no trouble at all with the computer. I bought it refurbished and used it everyday but never connected it to the internet as it was soley for my hobby cnc. Anyway, I plugged it up and connected the monitor back and it would not detect the same monitor that I've used with this compter since i've owned it. I hooked up the monitor to my laptop with the same cord and it worked. I also noticed that all the fans came on right away and never went off until I powered it off. I have no idea what is wrong with it. I did change the battery on the motherboard (CMOS Battery??). It didnt change anything. Also, The cd drive still opens as normal it seems. Just can't see anything on the screen except "No connection, Check signal cable". Any help with this would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance! What you seem to be describing is a machine that doesnt even boot to bios, otherwise you would at least see the lenovo/IBM logo on a working monitor. This could be a bad graphics, but could be memory too. Id re-seat just 1 stick of memory (make sure you use the correct dimm slot-- should be labeled "DIMM 1 or DIMM 0") and check if it turns on, then use another one and repeat-- If 1 stick is bad, the system may not boot.
The other thing that comes to mind is the capacitors on the motherboard (Ive seen this issue with 2 SFF M55s just like yours), though usually the machine still boots and just crashed later. What to look for when you open up the machine is capacitors that are leaking or have the tops bulging like this. If this is the case, your motherboard is essentially gone, might as well toss the machine for the price to re-cap is higher than the price to buy a newer M57 SFF.
