Help with Winvdig resolution setting 700x576

Hi all ,
i have a question, i have install winvdig and QT for Java.
currently i have programmed and is able to capture videos. Unfortuntely the video i am able to capture is of low resolution of around 160x120 (maybe 320x240). Upon 'full screen' the image is pixellated.
Could anyone help me with setting VDIG (whether winvdig or abstract planes vdig) to a higher resolution of 720x576 via java?? is there anyway of initializing the capture to be 720x576??

Me again! Well, it was a bit of the nut behind the wheel. I checked in with the store that I've been buying my cables, adapters, etc. He said to bring the Viewsonic monitor by to see what might be going on. As I was setting up, he asked about power to the adapter. I had the USB cable but didn't think it was needed. But after putting everything together in addition to power to the HDMI-VGA adapter, I could see I was getting the resolution that I was hoping for. Why it worked on the Dell monitor, no clue...maybe a better monitor or different VGA cable. The Bytecc adpater didn't come with any instructions, so I just didn't know.
All is well. Hope this helps someone in the future.

I have a bunch of small, heavily compressed AVI clips that I want to edit together. But I can't figure out how to export it with the best quality. The dimensions are 640x480, but those dimensions are always different on the exported video- I'm so confused. Hello!! Hopefully I am posting in the proper section. If not, I will be glad to repost in the proper area. I am hoping that a fellow ModtheSims2 member who has experimented with movie making in the sims 2 and Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0 could answer my question: I have been toying around with movie-making in the game
I film (or capture)the video clips (or shall I say computer game animations)using the game's best option of a resolution of 640 x 480 at 30 fps with audio at 11025hz 16-Bit mono (compressed). As you are surely aware the game saves the file into AVI format with the VP61 codec. When I open and view the AVI files using Microsoft Windows Media Player, the image is beautiful and crystal clear!!
If I import the AVI file into Windows Movie Maker 2.0, same thing, the image is beautiful and crystal clear!! But here is the problem, when I import the same AVI file into Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0, and play the file into the source window, the video is heavily pixelated, in fact very large square pixels...It almost appears like a mossiac over the entire video. I tried turning the frame blending off in Adobe Premiere under 'clip' and then 'video options' but that does not appear to help. All the latest drivers for everything on my PC have been installed. Here are my specs Windows Media Center Edition 2005
P5W-DH Deluxe ASUS motherboard
Intel Dual Core 2.4ghz processor
2 XFX NVidia 7950GT graphic's card (512mb)
4GB Ram (although windows xp only uses about 2.5 to 3ghz of it)
1 200gb hard drive
1 500gb hard drive
Audigy 2 Platinum zs sound card Maybe Adobe does not support the VP61 codec, but I have not been able to confirm this anywhere. However I did find an article from the Adobe website about two machinima artists that use Adobe Premiere to make 'Sims 2' videos.

Might this be the problem? I found a 'cheat' on the internet to change the game's settings in the game's config. file so that it would capture the animations at 1024 x 768, like the resolution for my PC monitor. But once played in Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0, the clips still have the large square pixel problem... Its like big white and blue squares all over the image... But Maybe since I am using a widescreen monitor I must capture and edit in a true widecreen format like 1280x720 or above??? I dont know. I just find it weird that the AVI files play fine with Windows Movie Maker and Windows Media Player but not with Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0 Being the amature I am with Adobe, maybe I am doing something wrong. But I did search all the forums and cannot seem to find any info to fix the problem... Maybe I must convert the AVI files before importing them into Adobe, but if it could be avoided that would be cool ... so if you have any info that could help me it would be much appreciated!! I'm afraid I haven't used Adobe Premiere, but have you checked on their site and support forums? I've used TS2 video clips in other movie editing programs in the past, so the format does work - it certainly sounds like Adobe is having issues there. Have you tried different codecs? You may also want to go have a look at sims99.com, a TS2 machinima site, which may have more info.

Thank-you for your reply - I did post this question at the sites you mentionned and suprisingly received many responses from the Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0 support forums It would appear the Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0 does not like compressed AVI files and it would also appear that Adobe does not like the VP61 codec that the Sims 2 game uses to compress the movie file (AVI). When I capture the Sims 2 movies by setting the options to 'Large' (640 x 480) and 'High' (30fps) - then the clips will not play properly in Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0 But when I capture the Sims 2 movies by setting the options to 'Large' (640 x 480) and 'High, uncompressed' (30fps) - then the clips play properly in Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0 I thought I had tested this originally, but that it was not making a difference. But I must of messed up, because as I say, if I film compressed, the clips have the pixelation problems in Adobe. If I film uncompressed there is no problems with the clips in Adobe. The only downside is that uncompressed clips are very large. (Like 1.5GB for 60 second clip) Cheers!

Seems it requires online content and a CS Live account to do anything.
But when I try to create one it dies with the error message:

UPDATE: Downloaded update and that fixed things.
However, turns out my NFR of CS6 Production Premium doesn't allow me to use Story.
And here all I wanted to to do try out the transcription features of Premiere Pro.
Without a script it's complete gobbledygook. Would like to try it with a script but it appears I need Story to convert my PDF to Adobe Story format.
Oh well.

Help with time zone setting not working in my treo 750

When I set my home time zone in the time setting option and I confirm the change, it does not take the change. The home time zone is always set to Pacific Standard Time. Does anybody knows how to fix this bug?

Hi guys i really need help with a newsletter set up

so my newsletter that i am having difficulty with is 4 pages with a 3 column and each page needs to have a headline and sub headline the problem i am having is creating enough space for the sub headline with enough room for the text i was wondering if anyone has a mock set up file that i could use to see where my margins are off by any help will be greatly appreciated. oh and the size is 8.5x11 mine just doesn't seem to look right.

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

Need Help with some Resolution Basics (I think)

I'm trying to use my Powerbook G4 15-in 1.5 GHz to connect to a 23-in ACD. I'm connecting to the ACD through the DVI port.
When I do, and after mirroring the displays, only part of the ACD screen is used, the rest being dark on the outside. The display settings are already set to their maximum resolution, 1280 x 854. Can I go any higher? Is resolution the answer to the "black box" around the desktop on the ACD?
There is an education hump with regard to the basics of resolution that I think I am not getting over.

Help with wireless network set up on 8820

Can someone please give me some help before I pull the rest of my hair out!
I am trying to connect my 8820 and also an 8110 to our home wireless network, each time I go through the set up procedure and find the network, put in the correct WEP key and then try and connect it gives me the following error messages on both phone "Device failed to associate with the AP." can some one please tell me where I am going wrong?
I have changed the home network from WPA to WEP as there is no option for WPA in the settings.

I am unable to connect a 8820 on my network with same message noted by User: leomyles. I am able connect my Bold 9000 without any difficulty. Does anyone have any suggestions? I would not have thought there should be such a problem within 2 Blackberry models.

Help with bash function(set background=dark/light in vimrc)

I couldn't find any gvimrc files so I guess it uses the regular one. And since I work pretty much in X too I thought it would be nice with a function that sets background=light if I'm in X an background=dark if not. Is that possible?

vimrc configuration is not the same as bash.
You probably want something like this in your ~/.vimrc:
if has('gui_running')
set background=light
else
set background = dark

Help with photo resolution?

Can anyone please give me the simple answer how to increase resolution on a picture? I am desperately trying to make a photobook for a friend's birthday and I keep getting a message that certain pictures have low resolution and may not print correctly. I am out of time and need to get this done - Please HELP!

Usually that message means the photo doesn't have enough pixels to print at the desired size.
You can make the photo larger (more pixels) using
Image > Resize > Image Size

Help with XML Nested sets

I'm currently making a table similar to the Product Table on
the Spry demo. I'm having some problems because I need to link
videos and sounds from nested XML categories to a sidebar, similar
to the features list on the demo site. The problem is, I dont want
the full URL to show, but something else
I managed to get the list to show what I wanted by doing
something like this:

By calling spry:region="media" and then
<ul><li><a
href={video}>{name}</a><li></ul>
I got a full list with the names, but the links were
apparently lost, and all pointed to the table's url.
I also tried doing a <div spry:region="media"
spry:region="name"> and list the <video> and <name>
tags separately on the XML, but that didn't work.
I'd be very greatful if someone could help me figure out how
to do this.

Just looking at your post, I noticed that when you put the ibar in your shelf and add applications the icons don't like to show up you have to
1. right click on the application in the ibar
2. select icon program-properties-icon
3.click on the grey box
4.navigate to /usr/share/icons/highcoler/64x64/apps (you can select 48x48 as well)
The icon should show up in ibar, as well as the applcation menu. It is hit and miss though. I hope this helps.
Edit: I think I solved the hit and miss attribute, instead of selecting the file in the middle of the window manager select it to the right. And make sure that the file shows up in the bar at the bottom of the filemanager window.

the class that contains the query is instantiated 6 times the first class streams the results beautifully and then when the second

Database resources should have the narrowed scope
possible. I don't think it's a good idea to use a
ResultSet in a UI to generate a graph. Load the data
into an object or data structure inside the method
that's doing the query and close the ResultSet in a
finally block. Use the data structure to generate
the graph.
It's an example of MVC and layering.
Ok that is my bad for not elaborating on the finer points sorry, the results are not directly streamed into the graphs from the result set. and are processed in another object and then plotted from there.
with regards to your statement in the beginning I would like to ask if you think it at least a viable option to create six connections. with that said would you be able to give estimated users using the six connections under full usage.

The statement that I create uses a connection and is created statically at the start of the program, every time I make a call the same statement and thus connection is used, creating a new connection each time takes up time and resources. and as you know every second counts

Please help with Aspect Ratio Setting

I shot video with my MiniDV camera switched to 16:9 (my normal is 4:3)
Editing the footage in Final Cut, the Sequence Setting, Aspect Ratio says NTSC DV 3:2
I sent a clip to Motion to make a lower 3rd. I had to change my Motion Project Properties> Pixel Aspect Ratio> to NTSC D1/DV Anamorphic so the footage would look wide.
When I export the lower 3rd clip and bring it into Final Cut timeline it doesn't look right. It looks right in the Viewer but not the timeline? Any suggestions

Well, I guess I thought the video in Motion needed to look more rectangle (16x9) than square (4:3). Since it did in FCP. And my FCP sequence setting>Aspect Ratio says NTSC DV 3:2
I am used to working with plain MiniDV 4:3. I shoot with Sony PD150. I don't understand or never had to deal with Aspect Ratios. This project they wanted a widescreen look so I switch the camera to 16x9.
I don't think it is the real 16x9 but like I said I don't know about this stuff or why my camera has 16x9 on in if it is not the real thing.

Help with POP3 Mail Set-Up

Not receiving the content of all my email messages. Using POP3 mail from Onlymyemail.com. Get the following message: "This message has not been downloaded from the server. This message is only partially downloaded. Download remaining 0 bytes." What is the proper setting to ensure that I can view the content of all my email messages?

The problem is you require two MIDI inputs to the computer to play Logic with both keyboards, and you only have one on the FA66.
You could buy a MIDI interface with at least one more MIDI input.
Check the manual for the MKB300 - it has a MIDI in, but I don't know whether the MIDI in is merged with it's own data and sent via the MIDI out - if it does this, then you can connect the Juno MIDI out to the MKB MIDI in, and the MKB MIDI out to the FA66 MIDI in.
