HELP with WRT160Nv2 (2 xbox one NAT)

I have 2 xbox ones in my house connected to the WRT160Nv2 router. I have tried literally everything. Port forwarding, triggering, uPnP, static IP's, blah blah blah. From the research I've done uPnP should be the only thing necessary to run two xboxes at the same time in the same game. Is this router's UPNP just total garbage? Is there a firmware update that will solve my problem? Please link me if so. I am currently running Firmware Version: v2.0.02 . (probably the default, but doing a few google searches people say some firmware updates for this router make it worse)
Please help me out because researching this stuff really gives me a headache after a while.
If this matters... We are able to play in the same games occasionally but often times one or both of us will drop out from the game. It's especially bad in call of duty. Sometimes I will drop even if the other xbox isn't even turned on, so i don't even know where to start.

Internet Service Provider and Modem Configurations
What ISP Service do you have? Cable or DSL?
What ISP Modem Mfr. and model # do you have?
Is ISP Modem/Service using Dynamic or Static WAN IP addressing?
What ISP Modem service link speeds UP and Down do you have?
Check cable between Modem and Router, swap out to be sure. Link>http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CAT6 is recommended.
Check ISP MTU requirements, Cable is usually 1500, DSL is around 1492 down to 1472. Call the ISP and ask.

If the ISP modem has a built in router, it's best to bridge the modem. Having 2 routers on the same line can cause connection problems: Link>http://www.practicallynetworked.com/networking/fixing_double_nat.htm and http://computer.howstuffworks.com/nat.htm If the modem can't be bridged then see if the modem has a DMZ option and input the IP address the router gets from the modem and put that into the modems DMZ.
Router and Wired Configurations
Setup DHCP reserved IP addresses for all devices ON the router. This ensures each devices gets its own IP address when turned on and connected, eliminates IP address conflicts and helps in troubleshooting and maintain consistency for applications that need to connect as well as mapped drives.
Ensure devices are set to auto obtain an IP address.
Once IPs are reserved for both, Do a factory network reset on the XB1s to clear out any bad configurations.
Turn OFF XB1s
Set up port range triggering using 0 and 65535.
Keep uPnP enabled.
Disable any firewall temporarily for testing.
Save settings and reboot the router.
After router is back to ready, turn on one XB1 and check NAT. Turn on the 2nd XB1 and check NAT.

I have a TC8305C router and I would like to have my NAT open on my Xbox One. I have already made a static ip and tried to use DMZ in the router settings, but it still doesn't work.

Here's what I did. Reset your Xbox one network to default Not static, then power off the router, power off the one
Power on the router let it sit for about a couple minutes , then power on the Xbox let it sit for about the same then check the network status in the Xbox and see where your nat is.

Verizon quantum gateway router and 2 Xbox ones nat type open?

Hello, so Verizon sent me there new router quantum gateway, I have 2 Xbox ones. Upnp is enabled and I have both xbox ones set to static ip. I have one xbox in dmz and the other xbox has all the ports forwarded udp 88, 3074, 53, 500, 3544, 4500, tcp 3074, 53, 80. Both Xbox ones in settings / network show nat type open but in call of duty advanced warfare multiplayer/ xboxlive screen. what ever Xbox one turns on first says nat type open and the other says moderate. Hopefully someone here can help cause I can't find any information anywhere and Verizon technical support has no clue

Hi you need to do two things
Step 1: You have to program the router with port forwarding rules for your xbox one specifically

Step 2: You have to program the router with port forwarding rules for your CoD AW
see instructions here: ports used for Call of Duty games.
if you're not terribly familiar with port forwarding, then there are some good guides online including some youtube video's.
You might not technically find a whole lot on the quantum gateway router specifically, but its identical programming as compared to the Actiontec REV I router

Xbox One has moderate nat settings, got honehub 5, any idea how to fix? Help would be appreciated!

There are reports on xbox forums that going into the settings app, changing the power settings to energy saving mode,switching off console, rebooting router then switching console back on has fixed nat settings for some people.
also if its only call of duty giving you a moderate nat then you should forward port 3075 to the xbox one

E4200 Xbox One NAT Issues (2 Xboxes)

On Xbox One in the network settings you can check whether your xbox has an open NAT type. I cannot get both xboxes open, plain and simple. Are there any special techniques that will allow both xboxes to be open. I reset the royer to default to see if there were any settings that I fudged up, but that didn't help.
I rebooted my router yesterday are turning of spi settings, and turned on the strict xbox, and after the reboot that one is now open. I turned on the other xbox and now that one is strict.
If anyone has found out how to get more than one xbox open please let me know how you did it, thanks.

It really all depends on the IP Address you get from your ISP. The IP Address your router gets from the ISP's modem.

BT Infinity still lagging with Fifa on Xbox One (W...

So I made many posts last year about My unlimited BT Infinity package ( ~55mb down, 16m/b up ) not working with Fifa 14/13 on the 360. I counted about 20 or 30 people experiencing the same issues last year.
The bad news is its exactly the same on the Xbox one so anyone who had trouble with delay/lag reaching easo.ea.com last year dont waste your time with Infinity if you plan on getting xbox One.
averaging 120-160ms ping on the servers that xbox one uses in california for Fifa absolute joke. I had a better connection back in 2004 playing team fortress.
Any word or hope of BT attempiting to look into the long acknowledged pronlem.
Also random other question but I read Xbox one servers can use ipv6 /ipsec protocols how do we set this up on out bt routers?

IPV6 is currently not available on BT residential services as to server issues they still happen and nearly always appear at the game servers end and they always seem unwilling to admit to the problems and similar problems seem to appear on various ISP's world wide not just BT

Need help with hooking up XBox live on my router

I am trying to hook up my xbox 360 live and it doesn't seem to want to work.
I have a laptop set up to my router and now I am trying to get the xboxx live to set up and it is saying it isn't connected.
How do I go about doing that with this router?
I can not find any directions online or in the book I received with my router.

The first port I left empty thinking the xbox would use that one and the second one I have my computer in it for my wireless.
What do I go and how do I go about hooking xbox live up with this?

Help with Multiple libraries and one storage location for files

I cannot get an answer to this question anywhere and was really hoping that The [H] would be able to help.
Here is my current set up that allows my wife and I to have completely independent libraries and ratings, but use the same files:
-Shared folder with MP3s on a network drive.
-Two PCs, each with it's own Ipod associated to it with individual libraries but all pointing to the same network share for MP3 Files.
-Each PC is using the SAME Itunes account for downloads.
-Each account has it's own library folder also on a network share.
Now to my question(s)/problem with downloaded content:
(1) Is there any way to have a file that is downloaded from Itunes be automatically placed in a shared location accessible to both Libraries? (Say if I download the latest Jack Johnson album, can it automatically show up in my wife's library and vice versa?)
(2) Is there any way to share the album artwork versus having two copies of everything(one for each library)?
So my goal is to have two libraries with a central location for ALL files, including anything downloaded from Itunes by each individual user. Is this possible?

When you set up his iPad, restore the iPad from your wife's backup and then select only the content that you want your son to have on his iPad in the iTunes library and then sync that iPad with iTunes.
The game progress is stored in the backup and should transfer onto his device when you restore from your wife's backup. You can always delete any content (apps, movies, music) that you don't want your son to have on the iPad, if you missed it when you synced with iTunes after setting the device up for him.
You can set your sync preferences - any way that you want to - for both devices and still use the same iTunes library for both iPads. So ... Yes you can sync any apps that you want to his iPad and any apps that your wife wants to her iPad. You just need to restore your son's iPad from your wife's backup in order to get his game progress onto his iPad.

Help with multiple devices and one ID

I am sure this has been asked before but i apologize as I am new at all this.
This is my issue...
In April I bought my wife and iPad 2 signed up for an ID and started downloading apps..no problems at all so far.
Within a month we had downloaded a bunch of apps for my 4 yr old.
I bought another iPad 2 for my 4 yr old so he can use on his own. This is the issue, in my wives iPad we downloaded some paid apps and some free ones, some of them are games that have been advancing as he is playing them...my wife has also downloaded some paid games that she has been playing.
So here is my dilema, can I sync my wifes iPad with iTunes and then move the apps that I want to my sons iPad?
Also, will the move also include where he left off in the app...for example if this is like a building a zoo type of game and he has half of it built...will the move include his progress or will it make him start from the begining of the game?
i dont want to use the same apps in two different iPads, i just want to transfer his to a new one and leave my wifes in her ipad.

Need help with many devices and one itunes account!!

I recently purchased each of my kids an Ipod Touch. They all three are now using my Itunes account which has become a little bit of a problem. The biggest issue now is with iMessage. When a friend send a text message or tries to Facetime one of the kids, we all get the message. They are all using my itunes account user name and password, for apps, music, etc....
What's the best way to seperate the three devices so they aren't all getting the same text messages? Also, is it best to set up their own user accounts to sync their ipods with itunes?

If you want to use only one AppleID account for multiple devices but seperate imessage, you will have to use different email address to differentiate the device.
I would assume all your devices' imessage are setup under your AppleID email address.
First go to your kid Device's SETTINGS/MESSAGE/RECEIVE AT, Add another email address, type in email address of your kid(you will be asked to enter your Appleid password). Once done, an email from Apple will be sent to this new email address to verify. When your kid receive this email, click "Verify Now" link. The new email address now is ready for imessage.
Now go back to the same Device SETTINGS/MESSAGE/RECEIVE AT, go into your original email(your AppleID email) and tap "remove this email". This will prevent your own imessage to appear on this device.
Do the same for all other devices for other kids.
You don't need to change anything for your own device.
That mean everyone will have an indepedent imessage based on their own email address.

Need help with haivng more than one Ipod.....

Ok, I have gone through these posts and am still having trouble. I already had my daughters shuffle on our computer from last year. My husband and I both got Ipods for Christmas this year. I registered mine under a different email and created a new account for mine so it would be different than my daughters. As soon as I plug mine into the computer, it loads ALL of her songs onto mine. I had to restore my Ipod to delete all the songs but if I plug it in again, it will start to load all of her songs onto mine again. What am I doing wrong? I purchased one song to test it and it adds it to her list. I have seen the posts on here about making the seperate playlists but I have no clue what I am doing. All I know is that as soon as I plug mine back in, I am getting all her songs. What steps do I need to take to fix this. Please help!! With 3 Ipods, What is the best way for me to set this up. I've got buttons (with a mouse over effect that shows the name of the plant), and in AS2 I could use GetURL to link an invisible button to the URL, but to create the sliding effect, I had to use AS3. I've understood that GetURL doesn't work in AS3.

On the content layer I have the backgroundimages that slides as a movieclip.

JC is the instance name of one of my buttons. So far everything works, but I want to add linking to another button, and I'm not sure how to do this correctly. When I've created the invisible buttons, I've drawn a square, converted it to a button, named it, and named the instance name. Changed the Alpha to 0. I've also added an On mouse over effect, but I don't think that has anything to do with this.

Help with two phones on one Apple ID.

My step father put his iPhone on my Apple ID. Now he's getting all my emails and my apps that I download. It doesn't matter how many times I turn off the settings, it always happens. Is there a way to permanently fix this? I don't like the fact that he is seeing what I do. It is to the point where I just want to create a new Apple ID for me because he refuses to make one. If I do that, is there a way to keep everything that I've bought?

Your father-in-law needs his own Apple ID for iTunes, iMessage, FaceTime & iCloud.
The Apple ID needs to be a verified email address. Once you have an email address, that can be verified, go here & create the ID:

Then on his phone, turn off Contacts, Calendars, etc. for iCloud. You'll be prompted to keep the data or delete it from the phone, then turn off iMessage, FaceTime & delete the iCloud account...Settings>iCloud...scroll down...delete account. Then, setup iCloud using the new Apple ID, turn on iMessage & Facetime.
For the iTunes/App store: Settings>iTunes/App Store...tap your ID, sign out, now sign back in with the new ID.
He'll be on his own from this point on.
