Help within the Titles feature

I hope I'm not just being stupid here, but I can't seem to find a title that is just straight up centered with no fade in and out. The centered title fades a bit and is too slow (even on the shortest time). I need quick hitting.
I figure they must have something as basic as this, but I can't seem to find one.
Any help would be appreciated.

I agree with Sue.
cf/x has a "Simple Caption" plugin that should do the trick. And it only costs $3.50 US. You can use any font and set the size and position the caption anywhere you want. The only thing is you have to set the position manually - no "center" or "left" feature. But is works great. And you can try it for free.

Complied chm file displays 'HTML help' on the title bar instead of the window name.
I tried several ways like:
1. Changed File>Project settings name and also set the language to English (US).
2. Checked the Title name in .hhp file
3. Used the window while compling.
4. Robohelp language settings.
5. Also uninstalled and reinstalled robophelp.
But nothing helped
The title name is displayed correctly if the same project is compiled on another machine.

When the code in the HHP and the regional settings on a PC match, the correct title is displayed. Or other way around is also true the help title is displayed in the language specified in the help project IF (and only if) the regional settings of the PC match that language. Otherwise, "HTML Help" is displayed.

How to implement multiple Value Helps within the same Application ??

I want to implement multiple value helps in the same view.For that I have declared exporting parameters of type 'wdy_key_value_table.' within the component controller for each of the value helps.While I do activate and test the application I get the following error :

Hint is : A row with the same key already exists it means , It is assigning the same value/Key to row and you are calling it at WDDOINIT so it giving error at the time of initialization .
Better way to do the coding at some event in view OR if not possible than just execute the first value help in wddoinit later clear all the value before gettig the other Value help. Code it at WdDoModify View to get its run time behaviour.

Need some help with the autosave feature - Please!

Hello,
I started an animation in flash recently and the autosave feature was turned on. I had a good animation, but decided to play around with it a bit. After a little while, I decided to call it a night and exited the program making sure NOT to save my work. Upon opening that file the next time, I come to find out that Flash has autosaved my file while I was playing around. Now I have a worthless animation, and have to start from scratch. Is there any way to revert to a previous save, or autosave at this point, or am I about to do a lot of work again?

As far as I know, the autosave function isn't able to track down previous versions of the saved document - that calls for a specified version control system. I believe that Flash only saves the file if it is told to. There is a few ways to enable or disable autosave:
in the "New Document" dialog. you can choose to enable Auto-Save.
In the "Document properties" dialog you can set the checkmark.
If these are checked of, there isn't going to happen any auto saving. The problem may be, that there is also a topic called Auto-Recovery. Recovery and Save isn't the same when it comes to Flash, but people tend to think of them as the same. You set the Auto-Recovery feature in the Preferences under General.
Windows: Edit>Preferences : General>Auto-Recovery
Mac OS: Flash Professional>Preferences : General>Auto-Recovery
Both has a default of 10 minutes, and can therefore confuse he user. Please look at the document to make sure, that you haven't unset Auto-Recovery instead of Auto-Save. you can do that by:
Go to the preferences (Ctrl+U on Windows and Command+U on Mac OS) and check to see if Auto-Recovery is set.
Go to the documents properties (Ctrl+J on Windows and Command+J on Mac OS) and check to see if Auto-Save is set.
The first one (in the preferences) is ok to have set. It is the second one, that may have caused trouble for you.

Help! the 3d features are all greyed out on the most recent trial version of PS.

Adobe sent out an email saying that people could have another trial of Photoshop and that this one would allow access to the 3d features. Unfortunately now that I have downloaded, I see all the features are greyed out. Can anyone explain or troubleshoot this issue? Please use laymens terminology.

Your video card must have at least 512mb of VRAM. Does not work with Win XP.

Need some help with the chat feature

Have a school that upgraded to ARD 3 admin and all clients (10.4.x and ARD client 3.1). He can observe clients (teachers) without problems and can chat with them. When he tries to do that to a lab machine that students log into (with network homes), he can observe, control, etc. But when he tries to chat, get the "error communicating with <mac name>". The students are in a group that has managed prefs to the extent that he doesn't allow certain apps to run in the lab, i.e. iTunes, IE, Addressbook, etc. When he moves the student out of the group, ARD chat works. We even set up a test group with one student in it, same thing.
Any ideas?

You might need to add the application "Remote Desktop Message" as one of the apps that is allowed to run. It is located in /System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteMangement/ARDAgent/Contents/Support.

I need help with the autofill feature

Whenever I plug my Shuffle into to iTunes everything workd fine...but afterwards if I delete all of my songs from my library and plug my shuffle back in all my songs are automatically deleted...I'm a little new at this and was wondering if there was anything I could do?

I suggest that you leave your Library alone -- it's the master repository in iTunes. Create Playlists (use the "+" button at the lower left of the iTunes screen) and fill them from the Library. Then Autofill the Playlists and not directly from the Library. Delete any Playlists you no longer want, but leave the Library alone.

Odd action using the icon in the title bar of image in psCS5--???????

i use imac, lion.
by accident, i discovered that, clicking on and dragging the icon at the left of the title bar (actually within the title bar to left of file name), i can sometimes open the
image in ACR, as hosted by BRIDGE (which is not running. i do not use bridge).
sometimes the image will be duplicated following this dragging of icon, the new duplicate lying atop the image of the background layer, in the same window, and shows the diagonal bars awaiting resizing. if i just click the ("checkmark") in the options bar to accept this new layer, or, if i press enter, i am looking at a new layer, which is a duplicate of the background layer. this new layer is a "SMART OBJECT", and functions as such.
this happens only with JPG and TIF files, not with RAW. i have ACR prefs set to open all supported jpg and tif files.
i should note that none of this occurs if the image has been edited in any way. in fact, after any edit the icon in the title bar is not movable.
i am having some difficulty describing a simple and quick process. i don't know if this is a bug, a feature, or the result of too much RED BULL! i Just reread post and it does seem delusional.
can anyone help?

it seems to work with or without the shift key.
I work with OS 10.6.8 and you are right that it works without shift, too.
My surmise is that the title bar’s icon of non-dirty files (files that have no History steps save the Open-step or have just been saved) behaves like the file’s icon in the Finder as the behaviour seems to be exactly like a drag-and-drop from the Finder (as a Smart Object if set in the Photoshop > Preferences > General > Place or Drag Raster Images as Smart Objects, not if set otherwise) and works across files, too.
I don’t think I had noticed that previously, but that behaviour may well be fully intentional.

Trying to change the color of the title?

Through the Titles feature, I've created a title. It has come out white. Now I want to change the color.
I went to Help and it says to "Select the title in the Project Browser, and then click Show Fonts in the viewer. The iMovie Font Panel opens."
I selected the title, but then I could not find anything that says "Show Fonts." Can someone help? Thanks.

if you don't need the title over video, use any 'paint'.app to create your own title design (btw: Keynote offers nice templates...), import 'chart' as a still.

Inserting a column into the title of a graph

Hi,
I have a pie chart with a title. I also have a drop down column in the graph prompt area showing the months.
I need the month value to show within the title, and for it to change when the user chooses another month
from the drop down list.
Any help would be really appreciated.

Let's see if I can figure this out and type it up before the real GREP masters show up...
\d{9} will find groups of nine digits, but what you actually need to do is find groups of five digits followed by groups of four digits.
\d{5}\d{4}
And you need to separate them into groups:
(\d{5})(\d{4})
so that in the Change field you can use "first found group" and "second found group":
$1-$2

Where was it On Line ?
So your iPhone is on a Wifi network ?
You have gone to Settings > Messages and Enabled Messages.
You cannot then send iMessages from your iPhone Number ?
You should be able to sent to other iOS devices that are using other iPhone Numbers or Apple IDs or to Macs that are running Messages with the iMessages account enabled and those may also be using iPhone Numbers or Apple IDs depending how they were set up.
On the iPhone in Settings > Messages you can then add an Apple ID
You can then chose to Send from the Apple ID or iPhone number as the Start from option.
Adding the Apple ID links the Apple ID and iPhone Number and if you have a Mac, and are running Messages with the same ID, they will sync (Display on all Devices) all the subsequent iMessages you receive.

Need help with the new Multi-cam feature in CC

Hi,
I'm trying to use the Multi-cam feature in CC and have a few questions, so would be happy with help/advice for any of the issues below. The platform is Windows 7 Pro 64bit.
The first question is what am I doing wrong? This question relates to the fact I'm trying to use Multi-cam and encountering a lot of frustrating glitches, as sometimes it seems to work and at others it doesn't.
The video I'm trying to edit comes from a dance show so I created a sequence called Act 1. I then highlighted the six clips of Act 1 with Cam 01 at the top, as I wanted the audio from this clip and made a Multi-cam feature using the audio synch. I dragged it to the sequence, set the prog window to Multi-cam and was amazed at how well it had synchronised all clips, as I could see all six clips with great audio synch from Cam 01. So far so good and after thinking how brilliant it was, things went downhill from there
I started by using ripple delete to drag to the start of Act one and then tried editing with Multi-cam. That's where I encountered the first problem, as sometimes it seemed to toggle between cams but didn't put edit points in and the selected cam had a yellow border and not a red one. At other times it inserted edit points when I changed cams and the selected cam has a red border. I can't work out what I'm doing, or not doing for this to happen. Can anyone help please?
The second question is how do I cut audio and video at exactly the same point, as I want to edit out pauses in between the different elements of the actual dance show. When I use the razor tool in Multi-cam it only cuts the video. I tried highliting audio and video using shift, but to no effect. If it matters audio and video are shown as linked when I right click. I thought I might get it to work if I revealed all original clips within the MC nest using the technique shown in "Adobe Learn." This was Ctrl double click, but it resulted in the third problem.
When I tried Ctrl double click I ended up with only Cam 02 showing in the V2 track and after some frustrating attempts at resolving this issue I decided to start all over again. I deleted the PP project and created a new one, importing everything again. I followed exactly the same procedure as I originally did to create a Multi-cam nest, but when I dragged it to the new sequence I saw Cam 02 in V2 of the sequence, which is the same as it was before I deleted the original project. Premiere Pro seems to have annoyingly remembered the actions that went wrong, so please can anyone tell me how to tell Premiere Pro not to do this?

HOWEVER, you must be warned that multi-cam in CC is currently broken. A patch is in the works, but until it is released you should not use multi-cam in CC.
