Help! Won't load past white screen!!

I need help please! My curve won't load past the white loading blackberry screen. I downloaded an app from the app store and it crashed my phone. I called my carriers tech support but they are backed up and it might be a days before they can get back to me.

Jenn, If your BlackBerry stays powered off with a white or black screen, follow the instructions below. The only indication of life might be the blinking red LED light in the top corner. Nothing seems to wake it up and Desktop Manager doesn't recognize any device is connected.
1) Make sure you have Blackberry Desktop Manager installed.

2) On your PC, go to Start > Run and copy and paste the following line exactly (meaning with the quotation marks):
"c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader\loader.exe" /nojvm
3) The Application Loader Wizard will appear -- click "Next."
4) In the "Connection:" drop-down menu, you should see "USB-PIN: UNKNOWN". Click the "Next" button.
5) You should then see a list of applications ready to be installed for your Blackberry. Hit Next and Finish and you are well on your way to getting your Blackberry back to life. Just don't disconnect anything and let the lengthy process finish completely.
NOTE: If you do not see a list of applications mentioned in step 5 and instead see the message "The Blackberry Desktop Software does not have Blackberry Device Software for the device that you have connected to the computer. Contact your wireless service provider or system administrator," then you must download Blackberry's Operating System for your carrier and device.

Just select the appropriate carrier and network type, select your Blackberry model from the list and download the latest version. Install this download and follow the above steps again and you should be on the right path.

Hi all,
I've tried everything I've come across to get my Macbook running again. Tried booting into safe mode, didnt work, tried fixing using fsck in single-user mode, fsck said it worked but still wouldn't boot! Even tried verbose mode but came across disk0s2 I/O error.
Can anyone help me out, it loads up to the white screen with the grey apple logo and the loading wheel goes round and round but goes no where.

Hi, I had a similar problem a couple of years ago, the problem ended up being my hard drive had crashed on my macbook. You should take it to your nearest Genius Bar, they will check and see if thats the problem for free, fixing however if it is that can get expensive, of course thats according to a very poor college student, It was about 220 or so. but if you do find out its the HDD you could always just go buy one and instal it yourself, I hear it not that hard to do acutally. NAND script and won't load past apple screen

My I phone 5 has crashed won't load past apple screen and has a list of NAND scripts can anyone help or had this happen

Standard troubleshooting...
1. Remove apps from the Recently Used (multi-tasking) list...
- From any Home Screen, double tap the home button to bring up the Recents List
- Swipe up on the app preview card to remove it from the list
- Press the home button when done.
2. Restart by pressing the sleep/lock button until you see the slider. Slide to power off. Restart by pressing the sleep/lock button until you see the Apple logo.
3. Reset by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.
4. Restore with your backup.
5. Restore as new, i.e. without your backup. See how it runs with nothing synced to it. You may need to try DFU mode (Google for it).
6. If still a problem, it's likely a hardware issue.

Iphone 4 won't load past logo screen

While on vacation, my phone went black. I thought the phone had gotten too hot, so when I got back to our room, I plugged it into the charger and after a few minutes it said "activation required", then brought me to the "connect to itunes" screen. Of course, on vacation, I didn't bring my computer! So after a week gone without my phone, I am connecting it to itunes and it won't load past the silver apple logo screen and itunes won't recognize it!! Help!! Is my phone trash or can it be saved???

My solution: I opened the phone, removed the battery, cleaned out the battery connector and reattached the battery. The phone turned back on and showed the low battery sign. I had done this before and it didn't work. Apparently the problem was I hadn't properly connected them. You need to make sure it's locked on tight so when you close your phone slides on easily.

Satellite M40 won't load past BIOS screen

when i turn my Satellite M40 on sadly it won't load past about 7/8ths of the blue bar going across the screen.
this has left me completely baffled as what to do.
apparently it could be repaired by removing the battery cables on my CMOS?
would anyone know how i would go about doing this? or have any other ideas?

Hi Dec,
The scrolling blue bars indicate that the Wondiows operating system is being loaded from the hard drive. If this process stalls during the load then it is likely that either the hard drive itself is defetive or the files which are being loaded are corrupt and cannot be loaded.
Interfering with the CMOS chip will not correct this problem since the BIOS has already been loaded at this stage.
If you have access to a bootable CD/DVD (such as Norton Disk Doctor) then I siggest you try booting from it and running a scan of your hard drive. Alternatively you could try re-installing your operating system from the Toshiba recovery CDs but this will over-write any of your own data on your hard drive.

Lion update, screen froze and won't restart past white screen! HELP!

Did the upgrade to Lion yesterday, everything was fine until today. The screen froze and when I try to restart it freezes on a white screen with the spinning rainbow ball of death! PLEASE HELP!

IBook G4 won't boot past white screen gray apple.

I'm having problems with my iBook G4 booting up. It won't get past the white screen with gray Apple and clock thing turning. I successfully hooked the iBook to my G4 tower via firewire and can get files off of it as well as run a series of TechTool Pro tests and repair procedures. However, I still have the same startup problem. It never gets past the white screen with gray apple. It's stuck there with the clock continually turning. Is there anything else I could try before getting everything off and wiping the drive clean and starting over? I don't know if it's a hardware or software issue at this point. Thanks for any help you could suggest.

You should at the very least backup your Home folder from it before attempting this, but it appears to be time for a relatively painless Archive & Install, which gives you a new/old OS, but can preserve all your files, pics, music, settings, etc., as long as you have plenty of free disk space and no Disk corruption, and is relatively quick & painless...

Macbook not loading past white screen. DU not finding HDD, works externaly

Hello,
My Macbook stopped working recently, it crashed, so I held down power button for it to turn on again.
I did this the next morning and it just would not load past the white screen, I tried turning off and on again with no joy.
I had the circle with a line through it at one point. I tried safe mode and reseting whist holding cmd S, then option cmd P R.
I loaded with the disk in and Disk utility could not find the disk.
I plugged the HDD into a USB adapter and the HDD works fine, I am using it to write this.
What would stop the mac from loading the HDD and cause Disk utility to not find the disk?
Macbook Pro 13.3" 2009. I recently put in 8GB RAM to replace the 4GB. Using Lion since it came out.
Any help guys?

Macbook won't boot past white screen

My girlfirend's 2009 macbook aluminum unibody ((Leopard 10.5.x) is having a problem booting up. Initially I ran Onyx on it and it said it needed a disk repair. I ran a quick hardware test and it came back ok. I ran Disk Utility off of the cd and it said the repair failed. I believe the message was "invalid node, repair or verify failed." I tried it 3 times. When I went to quit disk utility and restart, it stayed on the white screen with the spinning wheel for a few minutes then the screen went blank. I tried to restart several times, always the same. I have tried resetting PRAM. I tried starting in Safe Mode but it wouldn't. I finally went to reinstall the OS but when it gets to the screen where I have to choose a drive, there is no drive in the screen to select. I don't have Disk Warrior, so can't try that. I'm thinking to remove the hard drive and get the data off of it onto my computer, then to erase her drive and start from scratch. Does anyone have another idea before I go through this?Thanks for the help.

If your OS X installer disc is no longer usable then you can arrange to purchase a replacement by calling AppleCare Customer Service.
Have you tried reformatting the hard drive? If may not require replacement unless the drive has truly failed.
Extended Hard Drive Preparation
1. Boot from your OS X Installer Disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu.
2. After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Note the SMART status of the drive in DU's status area. If it does not say "Verified" then the drive is failing or has failed and will need replacing. SMART info will not be reported on external drives. Otherwise, click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID (for Intel Macs) or APM (for PPC Macs) then click on the OK button. Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed.
4. Select the volume you just created (this is the sub-entry under the drive entry) from the left side list. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
5. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, check the button for Zero Data and click on OK to return to the Erase window.
6. Click on the Erase button. The format process can take up to several hours depending upon the drive size.

If you have v10.7 Lion installed, use Lion Recovery to repair the startup disk if necessary, or reinstall the Mac OS X.
If you are running a prior Mac OS X, boot from your install disc, run Disk Utility. The startup disk may need repairing > Using Disk Utility to verify or repair disks

IMac won't boot past white screen, now has partial pixelation?

I have just tried to restart my 2011 iMac and it has become stuck on the initial white screen (before the grey spinning gear) prior to the reboot it had being running fine for about 4 hours.
I initially thought that it may be trying to boot from the scratched PS2 game I had in the drive (was experimenting with PCSX2 before the reboot) I have tried every button combination I can find to eject the disk or boot into a different OS, I have also tried resetting the SMC and PRAM (I didn't get the 2nd beep) but to no avail. I have also taken out the extra 4gb of memory I installed to go back to the stock 4gb and swapped the stock 4gb for the new RAM but this hasn't helped either.
I have also noticed there is a small line of pixelation at the bottom of the screen, the high of it varies but it is usually around 4 pixels high, some of them are random colours but most of them are black, does this mean the graphics card has gone?

System Won't Boot Past White Screen With Apple Logo

I have a Power Mac G5 tower that someone gave me. No hard drive.
I placed a NEW hard drive in and installed 10.4 onto it. When I finished I turned OFF the machine. When I now try and turn the machine ON, it will freeze-up during boot up at the white screen with the Apple logo. The little spinning ring/dial doesn't come up.
The system is:
Power Mac G5 (June 2004)
Model ID: PowerMac7,3
dual 2.5GHz
512MB RAM (2x256MB)

Repeat until it shows no errors fixed.
(Space between fsck AND -fy important).
Resolve startup issues and perform disk maintenance with Disk Utility and fsck...

My Macbook Pro won't get past white screen....

My Macbook Pro is stuck on the white screen with the gray apple logo and loading gear spinning below---for hours now. Restarted multiple time without any change. Agh!

Boot in safe mode. First, disconnect all wired peripherals except keyboard, mouse, and monitor, if applicable, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. The instructions provided by Apple are as follows:
Be sure your Mac is shut down.
Press the power button.
Immediately after you hear the startup tone, hold the Shift key. The Shift key should be held as soon as possible after the startup tone, but not before the tone.
Release the Shift key when you see the gray Apple icon and the progress indicator (looks like a spinning gear).
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal.
If you can boot in safe mode, try rebooting as usual (i.e., not in safe mode.)

Computer Won't Load Past Grey Screen

So I was using my computer last night and it just died on me. The battery says it is full and all too. But when I go to start it back up again, it won't go past the grey screen. I have tried all the keyboard shortcuts and nothing seems to work. I have had it on and running for about 30 minutes so far and nothing has changed.
This has happened to me once already and I had to have the whole computer restarted and I lost everything. I really don't want to lose everything yet again but I don't know what to do.
I also cant seem to find my OSX startup disk. Of course. I was wondering what are all the options/keyboard shortcuts so I can try everything before I decided to just give it to the tecs to deal with.

You will need to locate the Install DVD in order to troubleshoot. Otherwise, you will end up w/a very expensive door stop.;)
You can get replacement System Install & Restore CD/DVDs from Apple's Customer Support - in the US, (800) 767-2775 - for a nominal S&H fee. You'll need to have the model and/or serial number of your Mac available.

Ipad won't load past apple screen

My Ipad won't load or shut down. When the cover is opened the screen w/apple is there..desktop sometimes comes on, but as soon as screen is touched it returns to apple screen. I backed up the ipad with itunes on computer and attempted to restore it but it won't
restore until "find my ipad" is turned off, which I can't do since the ipad won't load the settings.
Updated to ios7 two days ago and was working okay. I'm not sure if this has something to do with the update.

Have you tried rebooting?
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
