Help : Wrap character

Hello everybody,
Please help me i have a flat file similar to this :
IBONNE,DOZAJ,ODZHJA,DZJA,BDAT,OpenOrder,cus_LKDOA,cus_CO_COMO

I had developped the right schema to dissasemble it, but when i have this example it ruins all the other lines :

i did mention th default wrap character to CHARACTER
and the CHARACTER to : "
but it doesn't work too
How can i handle that ? please any help ?

Problem solved.
To fix that i have to do the same setting bellow for the schema node and for all elements :
default wrap character to CHARACTER
and the CHARACTER to : "

I Need help wrapping an expandable text field to the next page, while pushing a subforum beneath it

Hi, I hope I can get some help with this form that I am desperately trying to finish.
I am unable to get an expandable text field to recognize both 1.) the positioned subforum underneath and 2.) the page break. I'll attach the file if it helps get an understanding of what I mean, and maybe someone can see what I did to royally screw it up. The area of the form in question is on page 4 of the attached document. I want the user to be able to write as much as they need in the summary section, and still fill out the last section afterwards.
If more info is needed, let me know and I will do my best to describe what I did. My last solution I tried, before giving up, was to wrap the previous section, as well as the next section of the expandable text field, into its own subforum. Then, I nested the subforums together in another subforum.

In case anyone sifting through forums, looking for the answer to this question, needs the answer: paulk07 was able to fix my document by unwrapping all of the subforms on the last page and then wrapping it in only 3 subforms (2 positioned/1 flowed) and then set the page to flow.
From there, I set the margins so when the sectioned wrapped to a new page, it didn't end/begin at the edge of the page.

Help with character mode report

Hi,
I have a character mode report which has a query that generates output of data records that are 100 chars long.
My requirement is to add a header and a footer record that are only 80 chars long. I created a field of width 80 chars in the header and footer sections of layout whose source is a placeholder column of width 80 chars. I have set the width property to 80 in the properties of header and footer section also.
But when I run the report I see that the header and footer records are still 100 chars long - 80 chars of data with trailing null values. How do I make it only 80.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Yes.. I did that and even that didn't help. I have tried so many things but for some reason it is 100 chars fixed. Any more suggestions....

I need help about character with accent

I usually use xtra DirectEmail. It's OK on Director MX 2004 but not on Director 12. Example: I receive "Ã©" on my mail box when I send the character "é". I think it's a problem of Director version. Have you a solution?

I'm not sure if your warranty expires in 8 more days or it already expired 8 days ago? If you're still under warranty, I would definitely call AppleCare or go to an Apple Store or AASP; they can troubleshoot it and determine if it's something that needs fixing while you're still under warranty (if you are).

Help, my character styles palette is blank.

DBMS_Metadata package wrapping lines

How can you set the line size for the DDL that is generated from the DBMS_MetaData pkg? If I try to run the script that is generated by this output, I get errors because things are wrapped.
I used this sql to generate my ddl:
select dbms_metadata.get_ddl('TABLE','EMP') FROM DUAL;
Anybody have a good idea on how to get this output to work properly?

Setting LONG does not help wrapping lines, use LINESIZE and COLUMN FORMAT.

Can't wrap text in CS3 extended

I am looking for the text wrap tool in Photoshop CS3 extended addition. Am I missing something?

Query Designer&WAD: Variable search help - Display Key/Text button

Please, can you write me some solution of my problem.
I have the character with hierarchy.
In tab "Business Explorer" of character set display as "Text".
When i run my query on SAP Portal and enter to search help of character, it is displays text of my ZCHARACTER(not key and text). But name of levels(0HIER_BODE) display key and text... (NODENAME and TEXT).
When i run query in BEx Analyzer, in search help all correct. My ZCHARACTER and 0HIER_NODE displays only text.
When i press tech button "Display Key/Text", a see marked "Text". I cannot find the same button when run search help in Query Designer, WAD(or Portal).
How can i display only texts of 0HIER_NODE? But no [Key] Text.

Update. Can be usefull:
View table RSDVDPA with key DPNAM='0HIER_NODE' consist field CHAPRSNT with value = '0' (Key and Text).
When i change value of table
UPDATE RSDDPA SET CHAPRSNT = '4'
WHERE DPANM EQ '0HIER_NODE'
AND objvers EQ 'A'.
All works correct!
Change this value directly not correct. I think, that it is change of value of parent character. But when?

I have created own 0HIER_NODE character - ZNODENAME.
Only root node infoobject is 0HIER_NODE. All another - Z.

Character Animation Suite

Hi all,
I hope this is the right place to post this:
I'm looking for a character animation suite for AE. An ideal solution would be this: a plugin which let's users create a rig, animate it and save the complete animation (or animation-loop) to be used on different characters. The ability to blend between different animation-sets would also be really neat. I know that e.g. 3DSMax has these functions. Is there anything remotely similar for AE? Do you have any pointers?

I am not aware of such a comprehensive package.
For character rigging, you can use iExpressions or DuiK.
iExpressions can do way more than character rigging, but here are some tutorials that give an idea where it is helpful for character animation

Character.isUpperCase(char ch) function

i am programming a code and have a method which asks the user to enter their first name. Then i need the method checks if the first letter is capitals A to Z, if not it displays an error message. But, i cannot seem to get it working. Someone told me than Java does not use the ascII code so use the Character(char ch) to check if it is uppercase, if not reply with an error message. but doesn't that check every letter is uppercase. I also only want the user to enter only one name, ie 1 word, how would i go about doing that. my code is:

You'll be better off using methods from the Character class (http://java.sun.com/javase/6/docs/api/java/lang/Character.html). You are looking for a method that checks whether a given char value is upper case.
Of course, this depends on being able to get the first letter of a String as a char value. The String class is documented here: http://java.sun.com/javase/6/docs/api/java/lang/String.html Look for a method to find the char at a given position. (Then test that char to see if it is upper case).
A String represents a single word if it does not contain a space.

A Form Letter's SQL Compilation

Could someone help me understand / fix it?

Then, when I test the SQL at the Oracle 8i, I receive the following error message:

Reports uses bind variables (:) to run its queries. Kind of behind the scenes, it takes your value, and substitutes it in for the variable or parameter.
To duplicate this outside of Reports, you need to do a little work. Either use TOAD which has built-in functionality for this, or follow this link for sql*plus. You will have to define and set values for the variables using the link.

Or alternatively, you could modify your code to test it by switching the : to &. The & in sql*plus is a substitution variable, and will prompt you to enter a value. Make sure to wrap character fields in single quotes. Note: I am not suggesting you change all the : to & in the actual report, just for testing purposes.

Error in Report Output

Hi Every one,
I have an issue in one Oracle report developed in 10g. I am able to get pdf output in User Interface but not Excel output. so I have gone through other oracle report existing which have EXCEL output in UI. I have seen JAVA code as 'desformat=spreadsheet<code>desformat=xls'
when I put the same code for my report, it is rendering the following ERROR:
Error
REP-1814: Report cannot be formatted. Object 'horizontally' can never fit within 'B_1'.
can anybody please let me know the solution for this. this is Urgent.

Hi,
You can get output in PDF as you see in report runtime preivew.
But you can't get same output in .txt.
Bcoz if it is in .txt , there is a problem with null strings for each of the columns..
Bcoz the report is in bit-map mode.
So plz change it into Character mode.
go thru steps mentioned in reports--help.
type character mode settings.
try with this.

How to retrieve null-valued attributes from a LDAP server?

(I posted this in the ES board but then thought this is more of a programmer's question, sorry for the duplication).
I am using JNDI api to do search operations on a Java Directory Server( part of SunOne).
However, I found all the attributes that do not have values are automatically filtered out from the search result.

Here are a couple of things I noticed,
1. in a Softerra LDAP browser, those no-valued attributes are not present either. But in JXplorer, I can see the full list that includes the attributes that do not have a value.
2. I had Schema disabled in the server console.

There are only two ways to read data from Directory Server:
1. a. just fetch the entry
b. display the content
2. a. fetch the entry
b. parse the entry and figure what object classes it is of
c. lookup each object class definition in the schema and retrieve the attribute list
d. combine the attributes of the entry with all the "possible" attributes of its object classe(s)
e. display the content
Here's for an easy example we can relate to:

It's not that they have a 'null' value. They're just not there. It doesn't stop you from looking up the schema.
Optimally, in your client, you would fetch the whole server schema and cache it so you have to do the extra round trip for every entry you process.
The difference you observe with various LDAP browsers might simply be that one uses method 1 and the other method 2.

How do I change the highlight in Preview "search" function?

I find Preview is a great app for reading PDF documents, I prefer it to Adobe Acrobat most of the time. It also has a useful and fast Search, but .... the highlighting of found Search items in the document is USELESS!!! It is pale grey, which - when most documents are black text on white background, and with a lot of text crammed on a page - is almost impossible to see!
I have tried Preview Preferences. I have tried System Preferences (but Preview, sadly, doesn't use SysPrefs highlight colour). How can I change the Preview highlight colour so that Search becomes a useful function instead of causing me eyestrain?

How do I change the highlight in the latest version of Pages?

It looks like in Pages (I am currently using version 5.2) I can choose Insert > Highlight. This is great, however, how do I change the highlight color? It seems like yellow is the only option. I'm sure there is a simple and intuitive method that I am missing. Thanks for any help!
