Help!! (Yet again) I don't receive some email

I have set up Email with my iPod, but I won't receive some email! I receive email like adobe advertisements, Apple support communities email notifications, EA games news, ect., but other I don't receive. I haven't checked my email on another device to see if it was even sent at all, though. Please help me!

With a POP3 account you can change when the ma message is deleted from the server. Go to Settings>Mail>The Account>Advanced>Delete from server and you will find the options available.
When a message is deleted from the server it can no longer be download by another device.
You should have similar options on Mail program on other devices. If you use webmail and leave it in your inbox yo can access it from the iPod. If you move it from the inbox the iPod can't get it.

    One day last week my wife sent me two emails from work.  I received one, but the other one never showed up.  She sent it to me again the next day, and again it didn’t arrive. 
    I thought that perhaps there was something in her second email that was blocked for some reason by some kind of filter at her work, but this morning I happened to open Mail on my lightly-used iMac 1.8 GHz PowerPC G5 (OS X 10.4 and Mail 2.1.3), and saw that both of her emails had arrived on the day she sent them.
    Back on my Macbook I looked through junk and trash folders and searched by my wife’s name and by her work email address - No sign of either email.  Anyone have any idea as to what’s happening?    Thanks,  Gene

    I’m happy to say that I’ve found my problem.  I was a bit daunted by the thought of rebuilding my pack-rat-like mailbox, so I put it off to see if any other emails disappeared. 
    Today, checking mail on my infrequently used iMac, I saw an email had arrived a week ago from my daughter (along with a reply from my wife who was also an addressee) that never showed up on my MacBook Pro. 
    Going through my MacBook’s mail preferences again, I took the time to review again my Rules and saw that I’d listed the word debt along with bankruptcy, manhood, and a few other words with the instruction that any message containing that word should be automatically deleted.  Both of the emails that “never showed up” on my Macbook included the word debt, and had been deleted without a trace by my own rule.  I’ve changed the rule now, at least for debt.
    Thanks to all who read my problem and gave it some thought.  The troubleshooting sites that Sheila M. steered me to and, believe it or not, the fact that out of 100 people who’d looked to see if they could help, there were no other ideas --these things helped me conclude that the problem might well of my own making and not some flaw that other folks run into.

    Hi.I just started getting the problem of not receiving some emails. I have not had this problem with the sender until yesterday.  My sender is sending me emails from gmail, some with attachments and some without, to my comcast email and it's not getting through. It is just one specific sender that I know of. I narrowed it down to my comcast account because I had the sender send myself the email to my comcast address and cc me on my gmail address. I received it on my gmail account but not my comcast account. I use Outlook for comcast but I even checked the webmail on comcast with nothing there. I checked the spam folder also and it's not there. Please help, these are important emails. Thank you.

    Same issue, as far as I know it is just 1 person.  But I have no way of knowing.  I also had them CC my Gmail and it went through to Gmail but not my comcast.  I then had them use a secondary comcast email and it didn't go through.  Comcast seems to be blocking this person for some unexplained reason.  It's frustrating and so far has cost me $525 because they thought I was ignoring them.  They are using my Gmail until I get it straightened out, so the financial loss shouldn't increase, I just hope others aren't having the same problem and I don't know about it.

    In your email settings on the phone check to make sure it is set to receive emails on cellular network.  It's a feature you can turn off so your phone isn't constantly updating emails on the cell network, but if you are usually in a place with wifi and aren't concerned about going over your data allowance, you can turn it back on.

    You can take a look at this support document for troubleshooting iMessage and FaceTime activation. If you have difficulty activating FaceTime or iMessage - Apple Support
    I believe with the iPhone, you need to have a SIM installed, since the activation sends an international SMS to servers in the UK. Check to see what that support document states.

    I created a survey using captivate and in the Reporting
    Window I selected the email option and entered my email.
    In Computer #1, I ran a test, and it prompt me if I wanted to
    send the email, but even when I select "yes", I still don't
    received any email.
    In Computer #2, it prompts me and it does send the email.
    Here are my questions:
    What could be possible wrong with the setting on Computer #1
    that prevent the program to send the results in the email?
    How can I set my computer to NOT prompt me if is OK to send

    Can I set up captivate in a way that the user does not need
    to click on the "send email" button? I am concern that people might
    not click on the button to send me the survey results.

    difficulty. The sad fact is that this has to rely on too many
    dependencies:
    1. Flash Player
    2. Email Client
    3. Web Browser
    Personally, if this is going to be distributed to a large
    number of users, you would be better investing in an
    LMS - such as WBT Manager or
    to consider

  • Help ipad 2 only receives some emails

    My dad is only receiving some of his emails on his ipad 2.   He has AT&T for email with a .att extension.  I set the email up using the other option since they did not list AT&T.   If he sends an email from the ipad and gets a reply it comes back to the ipad.    However, if he sends the email from his pc and the person replies he only gets the reply on the pc and not the ipad.     Also, i think he is missing other incoming emails on the ipad I will need to confirm that. If anyone can help, I sure would appreciated it.  He has been bugging me for two years to fix it.   Thx.

    Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
    Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts   Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

  • I have my ipad, iphone, and macbook pro all synced together.  I receive all my emails on the macbook and iphone just fine, but don't receive all emails on my ipad.  Some go to Trash because it says they're improperly formatted.  What gives?

    I have my ipad, iphone, and macbook pro all synced together, which generally works fine.  I receive all emails from senders in my address book in my Macbook Pro and iPhone, but some end up in Trash on my iPad, with the message, "This message cannot be displayed because of the way it is formatted.  Ask the sender to send it again using a different format or email program.  text/plain"  They appear to be mainly from competing platforms, android, etc.  Is there a workaround for this problem?

    If you want to use multiple devices - move to imap, I would even say "exchange", but Google does not support free exchange anymore, since January of that year. So Ironically  Icloud or Hotmail would be my choices right now.

    If you aren't receiving the email to your rescue email account (and you've checked the spam folder on it, and tried clicking the reset link again), or you don't have a rescue email address, then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.

    When they've been reset you can then use the steps half-way down the HT5312 page that you posted from to check/update/add a rescue email address for potential future use
