Help: YouTube app Search and sort problem

Hi,
I have problem with the YouTube app. I know there is a search feature, I found the magnifying glass. However, I have 3 problems.
1.) Search Problem: It won't search everything on YouTube. I tried seaching, many results would come up from PB's web brower, but it would NOT on the app. So, what's the point of the app?
2.) After finding the video, the app does not allow me to find/list "video by the same author" or "related video", the "related videos" are not so close "related" compare the web version.
3.) When press on the "info" buttom on the app. The author's describing and format are off. or not display completely..
Would someone please tell me if there will be a fix? or how to fix it?

App Store and Download problems - Help If Possible :(

Hiya. I am New. Sorry for delving straight in for help, but I don't know what I have done here, and I hope someone can help me rectify my problem. I received my BB last week and set it all up - working fine. A colleague of mine directed me to the App Store, and I downloaded that via the handset with no problems. I was able to download the FB, some themes and a dictionary app via the store and was able to access it just fine. Yesterday, I tried to install some new apps and themes via the Desktop Manager, and now the App Store has dissapeared from my handset. I tried to re-download it via my BB and it says something like 'Sorry, this device does not meet the requirements to download App store' and I cannot download any Apps at all. FB and Dictionary are still there, but the themes I tried to put on via DM are not. I removed battery and memory card, and tried again but still get the same message. I tried to put App store back via the DM. It says it was loaded successfully but its not in the handset. I deleted all the themes I had originally downloaded from app store in the hope something was causing a corruption in the handset software but that hasn't worked either. I haven't installed any updates (to my knowledge) and the contract plan i have with my provider doesn't impose any limits to my usage as I have opted for the unlimited package (Tesco Mobile) I can't understand how last week I was able to download and use App store just fine, but now it is saying my handset doesn't support it, and I can't download or install any new Apps, Games or Themes via the desktop manager either. Sorry for rambling on, but I was really happy with my new BB, and now I am afraid i have unwittingly bricked it! Any advice gratefully received! TIA

You can change the settings in Security & Privacy to "Anywhere"...
That should work... as to whether the printer driver will work, that's another question.

App Crash and Hang Problem

My App is already on store. It is 'File Locker' named App. It is for Windows store 8.1 only.
Users are complaining that the App crashes and so they loose their files. They are not able to open/see the locked files anymore in the App. Some Can't even see the main page of the App after crash.
These are some failure names I got from App dashboard:
APPLICATION_HANG_ACTIVATION
CLR_EXCEPTION_System.IndexOutOfRangeException
CLR_EXCEPTION_SYSTEM.UNAUTHORIZEDACCESSEXCEPTION
Can anyone please tell me what should I do in order to fix these issues?
As in my PC, the App is running fine,without any problem.
And According to the reviews and rating, I found out that the App is working fine with some while others are getting hell of the issues.
Please give suggestions.

Per my understanding, the windows dashboard may has a channel to get the crash dump. Try getting it and use tool to analyze this dump file. See how to analyzing crash reports in windows store app.

YouTube app disappeared and not in App Store. What to do?

Not sure what happened, but my YouTube app is no longer on my home screen. Also, unable to search for it. Tried to download it again, and not listed. Is it maybe due to the upgrade to 6?

The old YouTube app from previous versions of the iOS is no longer included with iOS 6.
There is an iPhone YouTube app but it is not optimized for the iPad so it stays in a small window. An iPad optimized version is supposed to be in the works but no release date has been announced.
There are alternative YouTube apps that will work fine on the iPad. One that I use is Jasmine but there are others. Search the App Store for more options.

Help needed for storing and sorting objects.

I have an assignment and it is to create a guessing game, here is the question,
In this assignment you are to write a game where a user or the computer is to guess a random
number between 1 and 1000. The program should for example read a guess from the keyboard, and
print whether the guess was too high, too low or correct. When the user has guessed the correct
number, the program is to print the number of guesses made.
The project must contain a class called Game, which has only one public method. The method must
be called start(), and, when run it starts the game. The game continues until the user chooses to
quit, either at the end of a game by answering no to the question or by typing 'quit' instead of a
guess. After each game has been played, the program is to ask the user for a name and insert this
together with the number of guesses into a high score list. When a game is started the program
should print the entire high score list, which must be sorted with the least number of guesses first
and the most last. Note, the list must be kept as long as the game-object is alive!

I understand how to code most of it, except I am not sure how to store the playerName, playerScore, playerTime and then sort that accordingly.
I came across hashmaps, but that wont work as the data values can be the same for score.
Is it only one object of lets say a highScore class, and each time the game finishes, it enters the values into an arrayList, I still dont understand how I can sort the array all at once.
Should it be sorted once for score, then another array created and sorted again, I dont get it I am confused.
Please help clarify this.

ThanksWell, there was probably a gap in the communication. Hash maps (or hash tables, etc.) are instance of Map. Those are used to locate a value by its unique key. Generally, to speed up access, you implement a hashing function (this will be explained hopefully in class). Think of name-value pairs that are stored where the name is unique.
Contrast this with items that are sorted. Any List can be sorted because its elements are ordered. An ArrayList is ordered, generally, by the order you inserted the elements. However, any List can be given its own ordering via Comparable or Comparator. You can't do this with an ordinary Map. The purpose of a Map is speedy access to the name-value pairs, not sorting. The List likewise has different purposes, advantages, disadvantages, etc. List can be sorted.
A Map is generally similar to a Set. A Set is a vanilla collection that guarnatees uniqueness of each element (note, not name-value pairs, but simple elements). There is one concrete class of Map that can be sorted, TreeMap, but I doubt your professor was referring to that. The values or the keys can be returned from the Map and sorted separately, but again, I doubt he was referring to that.
Take a look at the Collections tutorial here on this site or Google one. It is fairly straightforward. Just keep in mind that things (generally) break down into Set, Map and List. There are combinations of these and different flavors (e.g., Queue, LinkedHashMap, etc.) But if you can learn how those three differ, you will go a long way towards understanding collections.
(Oh, and be sure to study up on iterators.)

Multiple Problems after Leopard upgrade HELP! Video display and FW problem

I don't know if this is related.. but I've been battling multiple problems ever since I upgraded my G5 to Leopard a week ago. Everything was perfect under Tiger.
Well, I think I've got everything solved except two last things.
1. My 750GH Maxtor Firewire drive... when I plug it in... does not show in the desktop and it causes both my internal drive and two other Firewire enclosures to disappear from the desktop. I can see all of them mounted in the disk utility, but if this one drive is plugged in.. all icons disappear from the desktop. If I unplug or unmount the 750GB drive.. everything comes back.
I've reformatted this drive, etc. This does not happen on my MacBookPro. The drive mounts fine on that. I've tried different cables, I've tried USB (it's a triple interface Maxtor) and nothing seems to work. I would assume there's something wrong with the drive and not my desktop... but the drive works fine on the MacBookPro.
PLEASE!! Any clues would help...
The other problem that only occurred directly after upgrading to Leopard... is that my graphics now get corrupted and garbled. I've got two video cards running two LCD monitors. The card giving me problems is the ATI Radeon 9800 Pro (256MB). What happens is.. first all the window shadows and top menu bar start getting checkerboard patterns.. then the whole screen starts getting variants of different colors and checkerboard patterns. After awhile and refreshing the screen a few times... the problem goes away for a bit. Then comes back.
Again, this card and my entire system and drives were working fine under Tiger. Now, I don't know if I have a bad card? Is there something wrong with Leopard on my G5 2Ghz DP? Did my Maxtor 750GB triple interface drive just go bad with the upgrade?
I don't know where else to look, I'm guessing the "geniuses" at the Apple store won't help me since this machine is out of warranty. Any help would be HUGELY appreciated. I've been battling all these problems ever since I started the Leopard upgrade 4 days ago and have not got much sleep.

The drives not or disappearing on the desktop could point to the need to do a pram reset.
I believe you hold down the apple-option-p-r keys at startup and listen for a couple of chimes.

Filter and sorter Problem

if i build a list view from a table the filters and sorter are working fine, but if i build it using a recordset i get a page has this on it:

ADDT (and also DW´s own rudimentary PHP server behaviours) does require this setting for loading "related" files which are relative to the current document -- blame it on the "internal design" if you like, but that´s how it works ;-)
but when try to filter using any data i got the message (underneath the menus): the table is empty or the filter is too restrictive!!!
this means that filtering the table didn´t return any records for a reason which ADDT just doesn´t know, that´s why you´re getting this general message returned.
If you´d like to change this message to something more meaningful like "No records found, please try with another filter setting", open the file "includes/resources/NXT.res.php" and change the line...
'The table is empty or the filter you\'ve selected is too restrictive.' => 'The table is empty or the filter you\'ve selected is too restrictive.',
...to...
'The table is empty or the filter you\'ve selected is too restrictive.' => 'No records found, please try with another filter setting.',
Rule of thumb when editing ADDT´s "language files" which are all assembled in that "resources" folder: Only change the text string that´s displayed *after* the => sign, and always make sure not to accidently delete the surrounding ''

IPhone 5 app store and update problems! Please help!

Okay so I have a iPhone 5 and all my software is up to date. I'm not able to download or update any of my apps. Whenever I press on update, it asks to enter my apple id password and after I do, it stalls for a few seconds and then says "update" again. It does the same thing when I try to downlaod a new app. My apple I.d and password are both correct. This has been going on for several days and I honestly have tried just about everything. I've turned off my phone, made sure my restrictions were off, ect. Pleeease help, it would be greatly appreciated

Reset the device instead of simply restarting it.
If that doesn't work, pick one of the apps that is least important to you. Delete it. Then try to redownload it.

Help with intricate search and results display

I am looking for help with a problem I have, my knowledge on Numbers is limited, I have learnt a lot by trial and error but I do not know where to start on this problem.
What I am trying to do is display result from sheet 1 onto sheet 2 when I enter the letters of the REFERENCE into cell C3. Below is an example of the result I am tring to achieve -

I have searched for AB by entering it in cell B3 on Sheet 2, an auotmatic search has been carried out on Sheet 1 and all the columns have been brought into sheet 2 with the corresponding data and placed under the COLUMN HEADERS. I have over 4000 lines on Sheet 1, although the most result that will ever be pulled through will be 150.
When the data is pulled in I will need to do other calculation in the COLUMNS F, G and H so the data need to only be mapped to COLUMNS A to E.
Also I want to be able to use this spreadsheet on my iPad.
Has anybody got an idea/solution that will help.

We've had a recent report of troubles with large tables in the iOS version of Numbers, so you may want to consider ways to accomplish your goals without the full 4000-row set of data.
I re-read the problem statement in your original post and see that I should have known that you were needing a solution for both platforms. But, I'm still not clear on what part you have figured out and what part you still need help with. We often refer to your second table as a "Breakout Table". There are different ways to program it. My favorite is to add a column to the main table that identifies rows that meet the transfer criteria and assigns them a serial number to help determine where they should go in the second table.
Here's an example:
In the new column on the right edge of the table T1, the expression is:
=IF(ISERROR(FIND(T2 :: $A$1, A)), "", COUNT($F$1:F1))
Note that the first cell in the Aux column is seeded with a zero.
The expression in the body cells of the second table, T2, is:
=INDEX(T1, MATCH(ROW()-1, T1 :: $F, 0), COLUMN())
Note that the search term is to be entered into Cell A1 of table T2.

My program is suppose to search news articles and alphabetize all the words article individually of the text file. Right now the program alphabetizes all the words of the articles including the numbers. The text file will be located below the code. So basically i need to know how to alphabetize every articles words individually.

Problem: I have this assigment for school. I have to do this ATM wannabe program ... but the last two parts they are a problem...
1.to sort the accouts(array) by name
2.when "inputing" an account to compare to existing accounts to make sure that it does no exist ...
directions if needed: compile all and run LLBBank the problem can be see in the output the correct output is in LLBBank.java and also started the compare method

Since upgrading my Mac OS 10.9 and Mavericks, I am unable to open App Store and other problems.

My computer has gone haywire since upgrading to Mac OS 10.9 and adding Mavericks. Mail was a big problem with my not being able to read messages, but now there has been a mail upgrade to solve that. However, still cannot open App Store from my Dock and cannot open Software Update from the apple menu. Lots of other screwy things going on and Apple seems of no help to try and resolve these issues. Anyone with similiar problems or issues?

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
Step 1
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account.
Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your personal files or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem?
After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
*Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
Step 2
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. Note: If FileVault is enabled on some models, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of steps 1 and 2.

So, I've been browsing the SL and Mavericks forums for the last days but although I have fetched some useful tips and answers, still need some help. Let me put it diary-style so I can be more concise ;)
Here's my current system profile:
iMac 27" (aluminium back- if I'm no wrong, from around late 2009-mid 2010)
MacOS 10.6.1 Never updated.
3.06 Ghz Intel Core2 Duo
4Gb RAM
LaCie Big Disk via FireWire 800
Internet access via Ethernet port (cable)
And here's The Issues Log:
– Day one: First ever Kernel Panic. Restart. Nothing (apparently) wrong.
– 3 weeks elapsed: Second Kernel Panic. Same. iMac restarts fine. Apps fine. No missing files. No misbehaviour experiences.
– After a month or so: One morning, Skype decides on its own to stop launching. The night before, I chatted with one of my clients, fine as always, but at the next day, nothing. Computer is usually shut off for the night. And so it was that night. Updated Skype and also did all the guest account trick / repaired permissions / repair ACLs. Nothing worked. Overwrote the Skype app with a former functioning version I have in an MacOS 10.5 system. Didn't work. Now I have to chat on the MacOS 10.5 computer. No good.
– 15 days ago or so: After realising that I no longer have my HP1515n printer (it ran out of inks and thrashed it. It costs more to refill than to buy a new one), I deleted the printer from the printers list in the System Prefs Pane.
– Last week: Acrobat (CS4) won't launch a PDF file and freezes. Spinning beach ball. Force quit and try opening the PDF file again. Freezes again. And again. And again. With that file and every other PDF.
Photoshop CS5 fails to open or crashes when attempting to open any jpg or tiff file. InDesign and Illustrator CS5 are frozen and had to force quit both. MacOS 10.5
Restart the iMac thinking it is just a "common" bad day and hoping everything will be alright after the restart, but nope.
Not only the CS5 stops working; MSOffice stops working too. Spinning beach ball. Begin to suspect of the deletion of the printer, however, I also deleted the same printer in the above mentioned 10.5 system and I'm not experiencing anything strange. Reinstalled the HP drivers but nothing remarkable happens.
Then, try to uninstall CS5, CS4, Office, etc. Try to reinstall Acrobat CS4 and the CS5 apps. Reinstall Office. Nothing. Just Outlook works.
Since I had to desperately meet deadlines, convinced a colleague to come over to the studio and -I know, I know- allowed me to install a copy of CS6. It seems to work fine, except for Acrobat, which randomly freezes/hangs/works and Photoshop, which works fine unless you want to open a layered file containing text layers or if you want to type text on a normal file, because it freezes as soon as the Text Tool is pressed in the toolbar, of course, spinning beach ball again.
Well, Illustrator CS6 sometimes shows a strange black thin frame overlaid on the interface but goes away by switching to another workspace and then back to the current. InDesign CS6 seems to be fine and making PDFs as expected. However, as I said before, it is pure luck if Acrobat accepts to open the file or even if it launches. Spinning beach ball when freezing/hanging.
As a method for eliminating possible culprits, did a clean up of the Suitcase Fusion database, removed duplicate and a few (less than 10) corrupted fonts.
Removed completely MSOffice reinstalled and updated. Nothing. Now I neither have MSoffice running.
I am no rookie but I can't even imagine what can cause such amount of misbehaviour, (kernel panics have something to do? malware? lack of system updates? MacHD is damaged?) so I'm thinking of a few scenarios:
Backing up my projects and user folder –anything else to backup? (In fact I've already done that)– and:
1. Do a clean install. Not sure if it will be best to completely erase the whole drive or if a standard reinstallation will be enough.
2. Take the machine to a Genius Bar to see if there's anything that can be done without major OS messes.
3. Erase the drive and go through the Mavericks upgrading (SL to Ln to MLn to Mavcks), although not sure if this upgrade is worth yet.
4. Replace HD for a brand new one and either step 1 or 3.
5. As a complement, I'm thinking of adding more RAM.
Well. It is really the first time I don't know what to do. I have work to do and would not want to face a week away from my main computer and since most of the files are CS5-6 and hence, can't move to my wife's iMac...
Apologies if this post feels too long, but I will truly appreciate any kind of input and advice on one of more of the issues mentioned in this post.
And if it fits best in any other forum, please also let me know.

Need help with a download and install problem with PS Elements-Elements opens but Premier has error popup

I purchased PS Elements and Premier Elements through Academic Superstore as a download on Aug. 8, 2014. I am installing on a MAC Book Pro 10.9.4, and have tried reinstalling 3 times. I also searched the error messages on support and could not find the error I am getting. Every time I am able to open the Elements file will open and work, but the Premier file has a window pop up that says: The Following disk images couldn't be opened: Image - PremiereElements_12_WWEFDJ.dmg Reason - image not recognized. Does anyone have a solution?
