Help! Z77A-Gxx - Bios

I need some help with a new build that I built only a couple of months ago.
Z77A-G41 (according to box from MicroCenter, but Liveupdate says MS-7758 which is G43)
i3570k 3.2Ghz (4.2Ghz OC)
8Gb DDR3 1600 (800Mhz)
I had flashed my Bios to the lastest ver 2.9 and now I have things missing from bios that were there before including OC Gene All Functionality, Sleep/Hibernate ability, Wake ability, When booting it scrolls through Hex Codes in the lower right of the screen and flashes the Bios Flash Screen multiple times before actually loading Windows.
Someone please help me get my bios reset back to a stable/factory bios version!
before I flashed my bios I had saved the factory version of bios via M-Flash program inside the bios. Trying to load the image gives me an error that it is not a recognized image type. is this!?
I had called MSI Customer Support line and they told me to pull the Bios/Clock battery and let the computer sit without power for an extended period of time, which I did. I was hoping doing this would revert the bios version back to 2.0x but it still says 2.9. I still do not have OC Gene functions, Sleep/Hibernate, wake functions and the Hex codes are still there, but the bios splash screen no longer flashes and it now loads windows quickly like it was before I flashed.

USB stick formatted FAT32. Use the 'Fix My USB Key' feature, the stick will now be properly prepped. Just point the flasher to the BIOS file, do not open it or decompress it, the flasher will set it up for you. At the restart prompt, enter BIOS and set the USB stick as the only boot device, save and exit and it should begin the flash prompt with a screen asking you if you want to proceed. Tell it yes and watch it do it's thing.
There is a new beta, but this was the last final to date;

Don't forget to use the link in that thread for updating the IME driver after the flash.

first of all here is my spec:
    i5 3570k
    16Gb (4x4) Corsair vengeance 1600Mhz CL9
    z77a-gd65
    bios 10.10
    problem nr.1
i can't make RAM working faster than default-1333.
i read lot of forums, where ppl able to do changes from 1333 to 1600. but i can not.
    problem nr2.
it was only AUTO in timing (few month ago i was able to change numbers. i did nothing with bios, it just became AUTO by itself)
    my i5 was working @ 0Mhz !!!
    fixed by downgrading bios
i'm wondering... should be number like here?
is anybody can help me? how to make RAM working @1600 and more?
will be nice to receive step-by-step guide (better in pictures)
    thank you

Remove and re-seat all of the components outside of the case on a non-conductive surface. While the cpu is removed, inspect the cpu socket for any bent or mis aligned pins.
Perform a full cmos clear and re-test  with only a single stick of ram in DIMM 2, cpu, cooler and psu.
...now my pc is in non stop restart... lol. all i wanted its only make ram 1600.
done.  i switched off oc genie and change settings in "standrd" mode. all 4 sticks of ram are working together.
    thank you for help.

  • Z77A-G54 bios not saving dram freq

    Hey,
After latest z77a-g45 bios uptade, bios is defaulting dram frequency back to 1333 after restart or shutdown.
It was not an issue with older bios versions, if I set it to 1600 then it stayed 1600
    Please fix it.

Wrong addressing here. If you found any bios problem report it to MSI for fixing it: >>How to contact MSI.<<

  • I need your help with the Bios password!

    Hi,
I'm using a satellite l305D-S5895 and i have a problem with the bios password.  I was setting a password in the Bios or CMOS ( i don't know exactly).  Every time i start up my computer, a blue box appears and ask me for the password. I know the password but  I think it complicated and i want to take it off, and clear it.  Please help me with that.  If you guys have a way by turn of the battery or push the reset key inside the laptop, please give me some pictures to show that.  Thanks a lot.

This does not sound like a Toshiba Bios password. The Toshiba passwords come on a black screen with white writing and say "Password =". Toshiba Service Centers have the tools needed to remove the password. provided that you can prove the computer is yours. So bring a proof of purchase and be prepared to pay, because password removal is not covered under warranty.

  • [help] Z77A-GD65 not starting fully

ok so when i turn on the motherboard all the fans in my PC turn on and the LED1 light turns blue for about a second then everything shuts off. My power button stays green even when everything else shuts off and the alarm LED is OFF. I have tried re plugging everything in and am placing only one stick of RAM in the correct spot. here are my system specs:

    GPU: GeForce GTX 560 - ASUS ENGTX560
    RAM: 8Gigs @ 1600 - G.Skill Ripjaws X Series
PSU: 550w - XFX Core Edition Pro
    HDD: 500G @ 7200RPM - Seagate SpinPoint F3
    ssD: 60G @ 525MB/s read, 475MB/s write - OCZ Agility 3
    MotherBoard: MSI Z77A-GD65
    Tower: Corsair Carbide Series 400R
    OS: w7-64bit Home Premium
    DD: ASUS DRW DVD:RW

    Hi
I just got that same board.
If you keep looking at the Diagnostic display on the board while starting the PC, then just notice what the code is when it stops. The display should change code according to what init state its in.
That way you can determine at what initialization step it fails. Check the manual for the error codes.
For example if it stops at Cpu Initialization, there is a good chance that the CPU is faulty or simply overheating if cooler is not properly seated. From what you explain, it could sound like Overheating CPU.
Are you using the H80 cooler in this build? It can be a bit tricky to mount properly.
You can also try the Bios switch to swap over to the backup Bios. In case the bios is corrupt.
