Helpful hint 4 iPod Nano scratches

my nano is covered w/tons of tiny scratches all over the screen. I tried looking on the web for stuff that would get rid of them, but i couldnt find anyting. i even tried to get a new iPod off my warranty, but couldnt figure it out. if you are experiencing the same problem, do this: go and buy some plastic screen covers that are used for Palms, cut one to size and put it on ur nano screen. there'll b a lotta air bubbles, but it covers up the scratches real nicely and protects ur screen from getting new 1's.

Is it not charging at all? Did you try to reset? If YES to both, request for a replacement of the ipod. Battery or the unit itself is defective. Cheers!

Need help with my ipod nano

Hi,
I need help with my ipod nano.
I haven't turned it on in a while and suddenly it stops working when I try to turn it on again.
Sometimes it displays:
"www.apple.com/support/ipod"
And right now it's displaying "OK to disconnect".
Could somebody please advice what should I do?

I have my IPOD nano for a while now and about a week ago. My husband bought one for his newphew and he had me download all the songs into the new IPOD (2nd Generation). Now Im having problems with mine. Everytime I try to charge and usually the screen will pop up to my original music player. This is what it says now when I open or charge my IPOD.
"The File iTunes Library.it! cannot be read because it was created by a newer version of iTunes".
Now, that I listen to it...all the music skip. Please help me..what should I do??

Plug it to your computer using iPod USB Cable (any cable should work excluding iPhone 5 and Shuffle cables)...... when you see your iPod in iTunes go to that iPod and click restore...... the whole process should take (depending on what you have on your iPod and its is up to date) it should take no longer than 30 minutes...... then it will ask if you want to set up as new iPod or restore from back-up (itunes back up), since you said:
so its like new
click set as new iPod and follow through what they said.

You cannot use iTunes to transfer song files from iPod to computer, except for songs purchased from the iTunes Store. However, there are third-party methods and utilities that can transfer from iPod to computer. If you do an Internet search on something like"iPod transfer," you should get some links. (The CNET article seems to be popular.)
Once the song files are on your computer's drive, you can add them to your iTunes library, and then sync your iPad.

IPod nano scratches, posting strangeness

It seems that everyone that has posted that their nano scratches easily registered in September and have posted exactly once. If this is a real problem, then Apple needs to fix it. But whoever is running this board should check the IP addresses of the posters and determine if this is not just a huge disinformation campaign.
I can't believe that there are no long term posters to this forum that have not experienced the same problems of iPod nanos "scratching to the point that it is no longer readable".

I installed my ipod nano today and my computer recognizes the ipod but itunes wont' work. when i click on it to start it it brings up the license agreement and then it disappears and itunes never starts. can anyone help?

gaaah. do you also see a similar sort of thing happen when you try to launch your QuickTime? (a brief flash of the screen, but then nothing?) are you getting absolutely no error messages whatsoever, just the flash and then nothing?
the most likely cause of those symptoms is infestation of your PC by Qoologic adware. the free trial version of Ewido has been cleaning that up for most people:

TS3700 help please my ipod nano 6th generation just shuts itself off

I don't think it is anything to do with headphone plug [jack].
I played around with the settings and have just managed to listen to three hours without problem.
Music settings; shake to shuttle off, sound check off, double click - play/pause, audio cross fade and group compilation on. Can't be all these but trial and error as to which one - unfortunately it came without instructions.
The only other thing was that I had it in pocket while i was moving whereas yesterday I was sat at desk with nano at rest.

Just got a new ipod nano for Christmas want to set up on my lap top but I don't know where to plug it in to get the set up assistant. I have a packard bell lap top and the only place that you seem to be able to plug it in is the USB port but it says not to do that in the instructions. When you do plug it in there it just comes up with ipod folder in the e drive and nothing happens on the Ipod. Please help how do I get up the set up assistant???

I have an 8GB 4th generation iPod nano, I've downloaded a game for it and cannot sync it to my iPod. The game shows up in my itunes library in the applications tab, but not were the games tab is. I also don't have a games tab under my iPod in the devices tab. I've tried to drag and drop,but to no avail,as well as manual and auto synchronizing. If anybody could help with this I'd greatly appreciate it.

My ipod nano says that it is not on shuffle but if i press one song, it will just skip to a couple songs after that. I tried plugging it into my computer and into my IHome but it still does this.

Are the songs that it is skipping purchased (all of them)?
If not...
Try resetting your iPod...
Resetting iPod
If that doesn't work, make sure your iPod's software is up to date...

If you updated and the problem persists, try a restore...

I NEED HELP WITH MY IPOD NANO NOW!

when ever i plug in my ipod nano it says do not disconnect on my ipod nano and starts to charge other than that there is no other recognition that its plugged in i go to itunes and do edit preferences but it still says no ipod is connected i tried restoring it, updating, rebooting ,everything all the other answers seem complicating is there an easy answer any one can give me that will help my windows recognize my computer the apple support group has been no help and i would really appreciate someones help

HELP! My iPod Nano wont work!

I bought my iPod last year, (I have a first generation iPod Nano) and a couple of months ago it didnt work. I was updating my iPod, when a message appeared. And it said if I wanted to update it (iPod) or restore it. Well I clicked on restore, and when I tried to charge my battery it didnt work. And I didn't know that restore meant that it would erase everything and I didnt know that I had to back up all of my songs. So I didnt and I dont know what to do. Can someone please help me?
