Helpful notification of BB contract termination da...

We have seen posts from customers that demonstrate unreasonable difficulty in establishing exactly when their contract is due to expire, and posts expressing outrage that their contract was renewed without their knowledge.
Basic information about our accounts is available on the BTYahoo "My Account and Billing" page - type of package,  details of secondary email accounts etc.
Can BT please add one line that reads:
Current broadband contract expires on xx/xx/xxxx ? 
Similar clear information about Calling Plan contracts in bt.com/Products and Services/Calling Plan would be helpful too:
Current Calling Plan contract expires on xx/xx/xxxx
I don't know where BTVision contract information would go - is that BTYahoo or bt.com?

Hmm, for some reason I missed the fact that there are many other forum posts which focus more on my individual complaints. Pardon me for not posting there instead, I really didn't see it till after posting this new thread. But, my new thread covers a broader perspective so maybe it does some good

  • Contract terminated for billing reasons flag did not remove

    We have a critical problem.
    We are using SAP ISU 4.72 version with CRM 4.0.
    Sometimes when user is doing final bill reversal and moveout reversal from CRM, the flag "Contract terminated for billing reasons" (EVER-BILLFINIT) in SAP ISU is not removing automatically and this gives problem for further billing of the contract.
    Can anyone suggest a solution for this problem that how to correct this problem or any notes to be applied to correct this.

    I have already checked this note. It seems that this note is for manual billing problem which is not carried out here.
    In our case if we are doing in SAP, the removal of flag is happening with reversal of final bill.
    But sometimes when we are doing through CRM the reversal process, sometimes this flag is not deleting.
    I am not very sure whether it is an ISU issue or this issue happens only from CRM.

  • About to have my contract terminated... please hel...

    Hi there
    I have receieved a letter from BT today stating that if I do not pay an outstanding balance of £190, my contract will be terminated. I understand this, but unfortunately I have no way of contacting BT to discuss it as my telephone has been cut off. I tried to call them today, but my phone will not ring out. Unfortunately I have no way of paying online as I do not have a debit card, only a basic account. 
    I really don't want my contract terminated, we live in a rural area and our only service providers would be BT anyway. I'm at a complete loss what to do - is there anyway of asking BT to contact me on my home number?

    I called Verizon about a month ago to terminate my contract because I'm deploying, i provided all the necessary information they required to process the request, but when i checked to make sure it was I noticed they just suspended it and didn't terminate it like I asked. I tried to call customer service but we can't make toll free calls from here, so is there anyway i can get my contract terminated without having to call someone?

  • Early contract termination charges

    Can you please clarify the charges for early contract termination and where they are listed T+Cs.....  I recently added emobile to my existing broadband package only to recieve a 40 euro service charge in my bill..... When I questioned this I was informed that this is the "norm" , something that was not explained to me in the outset. Despite expressing my concern reference this charge eircom inform me that they will have to listen to the contract call ( ten days it wil take) and that I can not speak to the person for whom I spoke to originally. I was also infomed of a 150euro early cancellation charge although I have been a customer for 10 years. Initially it was explained that the reason for the charge was due to me changing to e-fibre, a produt that is not available in my area...... Finally, as I am not allowed to speak to the person who set up the contract , can I request a recording of the "set up" telephone call

    I was informed by a team member yesterday that the reason for the long delay 10 to 15 days that eircom needs to deal with a complaint is not due to the high volume of complaints but its because they have to "trace" down my original call and this takes quite a while because they have to go through thousands of calls to check my original call..... When I asked to speak to the original guy who took my call ( I gave his name etc) I was informed that I could not speak with him because he works in sales and not aftersales which I am now a part of........ customer service eh!!!!!!!!!! I have also not signed up for diret debit but eircom continue to use direct debit information which i supplied to them ten years ago...... They wont let me chang it and say that I will be charged if it "bounches" back........ I paid in full manually this morning......... Still awaiting feedback from eircom ref original points raised and guess what? you cannot verbally speak to someone in the complaints department...... Just waiting for another competitor to provide broadband in this remote part of the country!!!!

  • Help with Sort function in Terminal

    Hello all... this is my first post on here as I'm having some trouble with some Termianl commands. I'm trying to learn Terminal at the moment as it is but I would appreciate some help with this one....
    I'm trying to sort a rather large txt file into alphabetical order and also delete any duplicates. I've been using the following command in Terminal:
    sort -u words.txt > words1.txt
    but after a while I get the following error
    sort: string comparison failed: Illegal byte sequence
    sort: Set LC_ALL='C' to work around the problem.
    sort: The strings compared were `ariadnetr\345dens\r' and `ariadnetr\345ds\r'.
    What should my initial command be? What is Set LC_ALL='C'?

    Various languages distinct sorting - collation - sequences. 
    The characters can and variously do sort differently, depending on what language is involved. 
    Languages here can include the written languages of humans, and a few settings associated with programming languages.  This is all part of what is known as internationalization and localization, and there are are various documents around on that topic.
    The LC_ALL environment variable sets all of the locale-related settings en-mass, including the collation sequence that is established via LC_COLLATE et al, and the sort tool is suggesting selecting the C language collation.
    Here, the tool is suggesting the following syntax:
    LC_ALL=C sort -u words.txt > words1.txt
    This can also be done by exporting the LC_ALL, but it's probably better to just do this locally before invoking the tool.
    Also look at the lines of text in question within the files, and confirm the character encoding of the file.
    Files can have different character encodings, and there's no reliable means to guess the encoding.  For some related information, see the file command:
    file words.txt
    ...and start reading some of the materials on internationalization and localization that are posted around the 'net. Here's Apple's top-level overview.
    In this case, it looks like there's an "odd" character and probably an å character on that line and apparently the Svenska ariadnetrådens. 
    Switching collation can help here, or - if the character is not necessary - removing it via tr or replacing it via sed can be equally effective solutions. 
    Given it appears to be Svenska, it might work better to switch to Svenska collation thanto  the suggested C collation.
    I think that's going to be sv_SE, which would make the command:
    LC_ALL=sv_SE sort -u words.txt > words1.txt
    This is all generic bash shell scripting stuff, and not specific to OS X.  If you haven't already seen them, the folks over at tldp have various guides including a bash guide for beginners, and an advanced bash scripting guide - both can be worth skimming.  They're not exactly the same as bash on OS X and some specific commands and switches can differ, and as bash versions can differ, but bash is quite similar across all the platforms.

  • Would like help with trap command in Terminal

    I'm learning about the trap command from my bash book. I tried out the little script they gave:

    But when I type control-c, the script just stops and the message is not displayed. I checked trap -l and saw that control-c is intr, but the same thing happened whet I tried that. Can anyone tell me what I'm missing?
    I'm using terminal (BSD) in OS X Snow Leopard

    I'm assuming that you are typing these commands in the terminal window and not initiating them thru a shell script. I'd like to suggest that you avoid infinite loops. Since you are bound to orphan processes. I'm going the use the external sleep command in my examples because it affords us some time to type CONTROL-C.
    [bash-4.2.8]~ $ trap "echo '......You hit control-C'" INT; sleep 15
    ^C  
    [bash-4.2.8]~ $
    [bash-4.2.8]~ $ ^C......You hit control-C
    The trap is set but Bash does not intercept the trap because sleep is running in the foreground. The interrupt signal is sent to the command sleep.
    Let's try running sleep in the background ->
    [bash-4.2.8]~ $ trap 2 #Set SIGINT to it's default
    [bash-4.2.8]~ $ trap "echo '......You hit control-C'" INT; sleep 15&
    [1] 368
    [bash-4.2.8]~ $ ^C......You hit control-C
    [bash-4.2.8]~ $ ^C......You hit control-C
    [1]+  Done                    sleep 15
    [bash-4.2.8]~ $ ^C......You hit control-C
    It works! Well, almost. You can't send the interrupt signal to a background process. In order for Bash to intercept the trap it must stay in the foreground. This happens when you initiate a sub-shell via a shell script or by rapping a command in paretheses ( ) ->
    [bash-4.2.8]~ $ trap 2  #Set SIGINT to it's default
    [bash-4.2.8]~ $ (trap "echo '......You hit control-C'" INT; sleep 15) ^C......You hit control-C
    [bash-4.2.8]~ $
    [bash-4.2.8]~ $ ^C
    The trap works and the interrupt signal was sent to sleep. Notice, the trap is only set in the sub-shell.
    Bash behaves differently when you use the built-in commands since you are working within the shell. I'll use an example similar to one of yours, except that you can break out of the loop by typing the number 10 or higher.
    [bash-4.2.8]~ $ trap "echo '.......You hit control-C'" INT ; x=0; while (( $x < 10 )); do echo "Enter a number"; read x; done
    Enter a number
    3
    Enter a number
    ^C.......You hit control-C
    3
    Enter a number
    10
    [bash-4.2.8]~ $
    [bash-4.2.8]~ $ ^C......You hit control-C
    [bash-4.2.8]~ $ trap 2  #Set SIGINT to it's default
    As you can see the trap works. I'm going to let you sort out what happens after I typed  CONTROL -C in the last example.....:-)  Hope this helps.

  • Help in Customizing the HR Termination Workflow

    Hi,
    I am trying to customiz the HR Termination workflow.. Then I created custom functions that references this new custom workflow and added the custom function to the menu.. but not getting the expected results.
    I tried changing the process_name to the customized workflow in the parameter for the original function and that seems to work, which confirms the workflow customization is working..
    I just need to know, if there are any other pieces I am missing?

    Why do you want to extend/customize the core library?
    Finding the extact file in that.That does what? Without know what you are up to it is unlikely we will be able to other much help.

  • Help - problem unzipping files on Terminal

    Hi,
    I have been unzipping files (zip and rar) using Terminal for quite sometimes now. For unknown reasons, it's given me some problems unzipping today.
    When I typed cd. /desktop, as I did in the past, it suddenly showed an error:
    -bash: -bash:: command not found
    I typed "/bin/echo $PATH", as I saw other previous posts have suggested. The result:
    /usr/bin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/X11/bin
    I am not sure what that means, i.e. is it ok? or is it not? and how do I fix the problem if not ok?
    I am completely IT illiterate, especially when it comes to any computer language. So please, a simple and straight forward answer, or preferrably a step-by-step guide, will be truly appreciated.

    a "cd ~/Desktop" instead of "a dot and a space" did allow me to unzip my files finally!
    Just wonder, by doing what I have just done, i.e. a dot and a space and then the target directory, had I already committed the sins of damaging the "Path" (something I learned from reading other similar posts in the forum)... Basically, I just want to know if i have damaged the file contents... and if so, how bad is the damage? (so far, my Mac works fine....)
    Digress, I would have loved to stay away from using Terminal as far away as I could, since I am dreading of the thought of me ended up doing something damaging to the lovely Mac. But unfortuantely, there isn't any idiot-friendly tool available for unzipping any password-protected zip files.... Would appreciate if you could offer any alternative solution to this, i.e. other than using Terminal! (NB. I have also looked into using EZ 7z and X7zX for Mac before, both of which i just gave up in the end!)

  • Help with replication of Contract Accouunt as Business Agreement in CRM.

    I am Replicating ISU business objects in CRM.
    I have already sucuessfully replicated teh BP. Now I am working on replicating Contract Account as Business Agreement.
    I tried to follow the Set up and Load guide for replication of the same, however, could not follow it properly as steops did not seem very clear.
    - I have assigned internal number range to ISU contract accounts and identical number range to CRM business agreements as external.
    - I have also checked the tables COM_BUPA_CALL_FU,CRMC_BUT_CALL_FU,TFKFBS, CRMC_BUAG_ACTV
    for the entries recommended in the setup and load guide. All is ok.
    - I have also setup teh publication of object BUAG_MAIN.
    -THERE ARE NO ENTRIES IN THE TABLE TFK_BUAG_REF.(I am niot sure if this is how it is suppose to be)
    The Contract account is still not replicating in CRM as Business Agreement.
    CAN ANYONE PLEASE PLEASE GUIDE ME AS TO WHAT I AM MISSING AND WHAT I SHOULD BE DOING NEXT?
    I will be very grateful for any help or clue.

  • Need help in ending my contract fast

    Hi, I'm a Canadian citizen who used to live in America. I have a plan through verizon in America.
    Before I left I talked to verizon and came up with the idea that when i got to canada I would use the plan with the traveling data/roaming package to help me get established and then call in and end the contract, paying out the rest of my contract which was only around 170$. This isn't exactly going according to plan for a few reasons...
    First of all, I can't make or receive any phone calls! Second of all I can't send or recieve any texts! The whole idea of using my phone to help get situated is pretty much out the window and I'm paying for a really expensive brick at this moment, not to mention the roaming package I had added on. My wahtsapp still works and that is about the only functionality I fget from my phone right now.
    Anyway I'm done. I need to just kill this contract ASAP and start over with a new carrier here. What I'd like to do now is call verizon and simply end my contract so I can get a new plan over here asap. BUT I CAN'T MAKE OUTGOING CALLS ON MY PHONE TO DO THIS. And can't find anything online that is letting me cancel my contract online. Feeling really screwed here.

    I cannot seem to be able to find my paperwork, is the early termination fee $200? 

    i havent activated my juke yet my droid is still activate but i did the check u told me to do and it says Important cancellation information

    I thought it was 350 but its telling me 175

  • BT Contract termination without penalty?

    Hi,
    Does anyone have any experience of terminating a BT Broadband contract based on unacceptable performance?
    I have experienced all the slow speed problems listed in these forums (currently down at 126kbps speed) and do not have the time to spend going around in circles on this constant issue.  I have tried all the technical solutions and BT have tried, but falied.
    Before I made the mistake of changing to BT I was with orange for many trouble free years with about 3Mbps speed. Orange never needed to balance and optimse at the exchange or give a checklist of dozens of thing to check.  BT equipment seems to operate on a knife edge.
    I should not have to pay a penalty for terminating with BT, does anyone have experience of this?
