If you can't answer the questions, then you leave us to pretty much guess at what could be wrong. Are you sure you don't know what PC OS you are running?
Given what you are willing to do, there's not much that can be done here. You see, this is free to you, and voluntary by me (and the others who participate here). I get nothing helping you out here. This is not any part of your formal support. As such, there's nothing we can do beyond use the information you provide in order to guide us to what might be going on. But, so far, we have nothing from you at all.
But, let me continue to try again...can you tell me the steps you attempt? And the results of each step? After all, you say you "can't get bb curve to connect to computer"...so, you must have tried something. What did you try? What happened with each step along the way of what you tried?
If you can't participate in providing information, free support such as this will be pretty useless to you...fee-based support would be your next step, I'd think. If someone get's paid to help you, they might have tools available that the volunteers here don't have.

Step By Step Instructions !!!! HELP NEW USER!

Step by step tutorial on how to create a project from A to Z. I am a new user, and i am tired of all the tutorials NI provides, they all talk about creating some bullshit waveform or making some easy calculator vi. They never talk about the real stuff, example, how to start a project, create your vi, compiling or putting together all the vi's, compile everything together and than creating an EXE. Holly shit that's all i am asking for is an idiots guide is it that hard for NI to make ! Can anyone out there direct to something to figure this out maybe a book, article, web page something!!! And no thank you i don't need some sales guy calling me trying to sell NIN bullshit training classes, i have been to them and all the instructor could talk about is creating a ridicolous sine wave genarator (WoW)

I am sure NI would be very happy to hear about any issues with the LabVIEW help that could be confusing to new users.

You should also be aware that you cannot buit an application using LabVIEW base or full.
You need LabVIEW professional or you need to purchase the application builder.

These are all non-techical terms and not very descriptive in the context of LabVIEW. Could you be a bit more specific on what kind of problems you encountered?
It would also be important to know your programming background? Are you experienced in any other programming environment? Is labVIEW your first attempt at programming? Are you familiar with general programming terms? Are you trying to program for personal enjoyment, for school, or as part of a job. If your employer forces you to switch to LabVIEW, maybe he could send you to some NI classes.
What is your LabVIEW version?
As anything, there is always an initial hurdle that needs to be overcome before becoming familiar in a new environment. Fortunately, this threshold is very low in the case of LabVIEW and you should be up and running after a couple of hours. Mastery takes a bit longer, of course.
Your best bet is to ask a more specific question here in the forum whenever you get stuck. Good luck and enjoy the ride.

My iPhone will not restore via iTunes as it keeps cancelling and coming up with Error 9. Can you help me solve this?

Earlier today my iPhone4s shut down unexpectedly. It kept on showing the opening process (of the Apple logo coming and going) however it wasn't taking me to my home screen, instead was repeating this process. I pressed the home and lock button together for 30 seconds (from advice from the internet), which brought me to a screen of a picture of the USB cord and iTunes logo. I followed this instruction and plugged my iPhone into my laptop and opened iTunes. Immeadiatley, iTunes popped up to me that my iPhone was in recovery mode (I had never put my iPhone on recovery mode before so this was all new to me) and needed to go through with the restoring process. I clicked the Restore button to see this process go ahead. I tried so many times it lead to me to cry as my phone is only a few months old. All these times I tried the process was always cancelled by this message which showed it was an 'Unknown Error' and shown in brackets 'Error 9'. I tried this process so many times and I simply do not know what to do. Please can somebody give me advide/help and this is causing me stress as I have been working this out for hours. Thanks so much!

Mac user needs HELP!

I see that someone else had a similar problem, but never
really got a resolution. I need to install Authoware for some
online classes that I am taking. I am working on a Mac in OS X. I
have downloaded the appropriate version of Authorware, "Unstuffed"
it and tried to install the program. My computer then runs through
what seems like an installation process, says that the installation
was successful and that the program was installed on my hardrive.
However, the program did not install. I have searched my entire
computer for the application, and it just isn't there! This is
driving me CRAZY! Please help.

I hadn't done this in a while, so tried it.
Went to Adobe's site with Firefox on the Mac and downloaded
the A'ware
Web Player. Adobe's site says it works with IE, Safari, and
Netscape.
I let Stuffit open the file as the default suggested on
download.
That put the 'Authorware 7 complete install' file on the
desktop.
I ran that and it supposedly installed the player. I would
assume it put
it in the plugins folder for all browsers.
I ran Firefox on the Mac and typed 'about:plugins' into the
URL field.
That showed the Authorware Web Player as installed.
Then I ran Safari and selected 'Help' > 'Installed
Plug-ins' and the
resulting browser page also showed the web player as
installed for that
browser.
So both web browsers I use on the Mac should both have the
player
installed now.
So I went to our LMS and opened a piece that had NOT
specifically been
created with the Mac in mind. It opened, though it did break
pretty
quickly due to Windows-specific items....but but opened just
fine.
What browser are you using? Can you determine if the plugin
is properly
installed? What's the URL or provider for the course you're
taking?

Please help me find a solution!

Hello all,
I am recreating a report that joins together 20+ tables. I have tried several different options for grouping / displaying only what's needed and ALL of what's needed (this has been my struggle).
It seems like the more grouping structure I add, the more pages (more results) are returned. I also have a copy of this report using quite a few sub queries, but I am wanting to stay away from this method as 10 sub queries for one report seems a bit ridiculous! Not to mention, there is a lot of info to squeeze onto a limited amount of space... So when an account has more results than can be displayed, I'm finding it difficult to span each sub report across multiple pages.
I would also like to avoid excessive SQL queries and Crystal formulas, if possible. Is there any simple solution?

I'm sure it looks overwhelming.
Is there anyone there who could help you with the query? 20+ is a lot of tables,
and I'm almost certain that you will need a "left outer join" or 2 to get the data
you need.
If it were me, this is what I would do.
Get a query builder package like :
Visual Studio
Toad
DB2 Visualizer
...depending on the db you are using
Next, I'd build the query one table at a time, making sure that I had the correct
return of data before adding another table. Use the "where" clause to filter
out all records you don't need, for example:
...(DB2) where (Table.Field) is not null
and sub select statements:

                VH439.STA_CDE_ID as "439_Status_Code",

With sub selects, "With" statements (DB2), derived tables, etc., you can get most,
if not all the data you need in one statement.
When this is done, the finish line is near and the remaining solutions are much easier
to find.
If you can't do that, build the report one table at a time, using the same guidelines.
Use the linking feature in Crystal to return the data exactly the way you want it,
before adding another table.
On suppression, you can "suppress blank sections" of the detail section
(in the Section Expert) and you can also suppress the field itself if it returns no data.
Use what you can of what I've said here. I really hope it helps a little,

Trying to recover songs..need some help

I reinstalled Mac OS X and so my iTunes 7 was reinstalled and all my music is gone. I plugged in my iPod Nano (remastered, which requires iTunes7), so I plugged it in and iTunes 7 appeared. On iTunes 7, it didn't show the songs I have on my iPod, but it showed the amount of songs I have on my iPod and how much space I have left. The songs didn't get erased from the iPod but there are no songs on my iTunes library. If I want to put any new songs on my iPod all the songs I have on there right now would get erased because they are not in my library. My question is, is there any way of getting the songs on my iPod into my music library?

Some 3rd party apps can transfer the contents of you iPod to your computer.
Try Senuti or iPodRip. The latest versions can be found on versiontracker.com.
Searching for 'iPod' could show some more similar apps., but the two I mentioned can do the job.
As far as I know they can't transfer Smart Playlists, but can transfer all songs.

Help! Which firewire for migration

Just bought a new iMac - and didn't know about needing a firewire to transfer info from my old Mac (the cute little egg one). I've been to Best Buy TWICE - first I got a six pin firewire which would work in my old computer but not my new one. Went BACK to Best Buy with a PHOTO of the firewire port on my new computer and the "geek guy" said, "Oh, it's a FOUR pin." So, I bought a 6/4 firewire. But the 4 firewire portion doesn't fit????? ARRRGGGGGHHHH. Help!

The new iMac has Firewire 800 only, and that's a 9 pin connection and won't fit the 6 and 4 pin connector used by firewire 400.
You'll either need to look on line for an 800 to 400 cable or get an adapter such as this:

MapSets...HELP!!!!...

Need more help, I have to write a method that will put the keys from the map into allPeople and the values from the map into allBands. First I make an instant of BandClub and then message send createDemoData1() so that?s

That would form the map personInterests from which when the message collectAllBands() is sent to gig then the set allPeople would consist of the keys of the map and allBands would consist of the values from the map.
I have made a start and got the keys into allPeople (See Below), I have to use a for each loop to iterate over allPeople, use each person to extract their corresponding set of bands from personInterests then add all the bands in that set to the set allBands.

The method I am working on has to put String[][] values into a set with no duplicates. So that the inspection would be "a","aa","b" and so on till "z".At the moment the display is a treemap so all the values are diplayed like:
"aa","b","d","e","f","p","q","r","s","t" this is "Ally"
and
"a","b","d","e","f","p","q","r","s","t" this is "Bree"
and finally
"a","b","g","h","i","j","k","l","r","s","t","u","yy","z" this is "Lona"
So as the for each loop will run from "Ally" to "Lona" it,s putting the full set of strings into the set giving me 9 sets of strings instead of adding the strings together and getting rid of the repeats. Hope that's a bit clearer.

Help accessing iTunes Store.

When iTunes is open and I switch from library mode to iTunes store, my screen goes blank. It seems the Store tries to load, then gives up part way through the process.
Mac OS 10.6.8 on a MacBook Pro, iTunes 11.05 (also did this on previous version of iTunes).

Problems connecting to the iTunes Store often stem from issues with the Windows firewall or a firewall in a router, a privacy filter (such as McAfee Internet Privacy Service or Norton Internet Security), an antivirus/antispyware utility, or a download accelerator. Start here:
iTunes for Windows: Overview of Music Store Errors
for some basic tips to start isolating the cause of the problem. What you need to do is temporarily disable any such service and see if that fixes the problem. If so, then if it's a firewall/Internet filter that's causing the problem and you'll need to set the offending service to allow iTunes to connect to the iTunes Store.
Another possibility is an erroneous entry in the Hosts file. This tip from Mark Holly resolved problem for another poster (please note that I have not tried this fix so I cannot vouch for nor support the suggestion: I provide it only as a suggestion that worked for someone else):
NOTE: this will change a Windows operating system file. This could cause you problems if not done correctly.
Using Windows Explorer navigate to the following folder:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc.
In this folder is file called 'hosts'. Open it using Wordpad.
On the poster's pc there was in this file one long line. At the end of this line was "127.0.0.1 phobos.apple.com:. phobos.apple.com is the web address for the music store. What "127.0.0.1 phobos.apple.com" is doing is telling the pc to look for the web address only on the computer rather than the internet. By remove this section of the line and saving the changes you may then be able to access the music store without any problems.
IMPORTANT: Before making the changes to the hosts file I highly recommend making a backup of it. That way you can restore the original if other problems occur.

Various Problems With N95 - Please Help!!

Ok well I opened a new contract on the 2nd of June with Orange and got a Nokia N95.
Since the 2nd of June, I have had a total of 5 different N95's because of all the problems I am having. Got the current one last sunday and these are the problems so far:-
- Phone randomly turns off (only once or twice so far)
- Take about 2 hours to send a text, or is says "unable to send text message")
- My reception is full, then will automaticaly drop to zero bars
- People try and ring me, it goes straight to my answer phone and then i get a text saying I have a missed call (happened twice)
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can do? This is driving me crazy.
I love the phone, but this is not what should be happening.
Like I said, this is now the fifth Nokia N95 I have had!
I'm not sure how I check which software I have, so if someone tells me where to look I will be able to tell you.

the Orange version will be a few weeks behind because they test every thing them selves They are paranoid about phones that run on their network In the good old days they had to aprove every phone on their network so if you had a sim free you had to ask them if you could use it Thay dont do that now but all the phones they sell for their network are supposed to be full tested to be working OK Thats why not all models and phones are not on Orange
They dont seem so much bothered if the phone crashes but they dont want you to crash the network lol
As soon as they have fully tested V12 it will be released for the updtae Orange have one or two mods to the basic software IE there own themes, screen savers, orange world, and the omission of voip. They also have ALS (line 2)
I use Orange but since the early probs I manged to get the unbranded sim free for Orange. On my one ALS (line2 2 lines 2 numbers 1 sim card Business and personal) is working OK so there are only the screen savers and Orange world they need to test fully All I can say is just wait
A service centre may get the update earlier or try looking in Orange shops at their current stock press *#0000# on their newer stock to see if they get V12 then the service centre will have it for repairing those ones and it will soon be on the update site

That one's from a book. I used that code to start with my applet. Mine calls different merthod from the switch cases. Say I have:
