Helppp n85 problems!!!
I have a nokia n85..it have many problems
1- when I put my mobile in charge it stills rebooting many times!!!
2- the FM transmitter can't be activated!!!
3- and the biggest problem that's my mobile don't read my memory card and I'm sure that it is a problem of software not hardware..
please what can I do???

Try a soft or a hard reset.
Factory settings reset. In standby, dial *#7780# and phone's security code (the nokia's default security code is 12345). This reset restores phone's original settings.
Soft reset. In standby dial *#7370# and phone's security code. Soft reset deletes ALL your phone's data.
Hard reset (the three key code/reset). Turn off the phone. Press and hold three keys together, the green/talk key, the * key and the number '3'.Then, turn on the phone and don't let the three keys before you see the nokia hands logo/nokia boot up screen.

Hello ppl. I hope u can help me with my problem. So ok here it goes.
Like few day ago all of sudden my phone stopped to accept ANY files iam trying to upload. For example .sis files used for themes and just now also .MP4 files which i was using few day ago WITHOUT any problems. I mean now not the fact it dont plays it. It plays the files ive added before without problems. But it just shows an error messere (the filetype u trying to upload is not supported by this device...). Very strange since last week ive uploaded 1GB of MP4 files without problems... idk what to do...

Hi, please if anyone can help me, I bought a new N85 from ebay 6 months ago it has 8gb memory. It was working perfectly and I always store all applications on the memory card, but suddenly messages won't open and other applications such as camera, standby theme! Even missed calls does not appear on standby screen, I have to go through menu > tools > log> recent calls > missed calls to just check the calls I missed! When I try to open the messages or camera, it says "messages already in use or camera already in use" what does that mean?

The problem is, when shooting pictures is always trembled as I can solve the problem??
By the time the picture is clear but the person becomes blurred.
And also the pictures are too white? It's an example of a picture taken

i just bought the n85 and was wondering about some troubles i have with it.. the buttons feel cheap, e.g when I press the down button, the ok button presses aswell.
one other issue is when i record a video on the phone it stutters.. thats my only problems with it, no rebooting or anything els.. i have the latest firmware, just updated.. thats the only problems but its very annoying..does anyone have the same problems?? should i return it because of the buttons? thnx
I always tell the truth... Even when I lie...that would be correct hence there is a warranty period on the phone to iron out the hardware kinks it may have, no product even BMW are not made perfect, but they have great follow up service, besides safety and a whole lot of other features that it comes with it is very similar in the mobile world. its a great product, just not perfect

It seems that problem is not in your phone, but in yor SIM card. Change your SIM card

im thinking its the memory card because its not an offical memory cardi doubt its card these are new and bound to have issues i have one myself software updates will be available soon to fix any issues also keep to nokia card for best performance

Hi everybody,i have a problem with playing games after update, im trying to play but at every game i try to install it says :Unable to install game(Error-1). what should i do? i tryed restarting the phone and even went back to factory settings and still can't open the games. Please help, thanx.
I did not want to wait to long for a solution so i tried one on my own:
I already tried reinstalling the app. and i did not work; but i made a safety copy on my PC, deleted the n-gage app.from the phone(not the recommended solution), formated the memory card(don't know why i did that) and then i did a hard reset,reinstalled the firmware,reinstalled the n-gage app. from nokia site.(because i deleted the n-gage app.,when i reinstalled it, the games were gone,so i downloaded the games of my choice from the nokia site and now it works fine), then i transfered back on the phone from PC my contacts,agenda and music. After all this the only "problem" i have: 2 of the preinstalled videos don't work anymore(sound works but no image), not a big deal for me. I don't recomend this to others having the same problem as i did, but it seems to have worked for me.
My phone works perfect now(so far),i hope no more problems.

Does N85 have a problem of its keyboard! Just the navigation's keyboard! Will it rupture in the area below the down key! I just heard many people said it will rupture in some BBS!

I have an N85 and can say that I have not had one single problem with it. It seems like the Asian versions are having problems.

N or Eseries recommendations needed
I'm looking to replace my N70, but I'm having trouble deciding which to go for.
I need a phone that will read word documents exactly the same way as my N70 does with quickword.
None of this scroll along the line, then scroll back to begining of line and down to next line.I need to be able to read documents just by scrolling down.
I also need for the camera to be good.
Other than that I just need to be able to make calls and send texts.
Can documents be read easily on the N85 or N96? These are the two that I prefer. Although am I correct in thinking the N85 is superior in most regards to the N96?
Having had the N70, I also need a bit of reassurance:
Are there any major/irritating software flaws in either.

I can only really comment on the N85, as it is my current phone. If I had to sum it up in a few words, "Phone with fantastic potential as the Swiss Army Knife of SmartPhones, but underachieving at the moment".
The reason I say this? It is plagued (as are many N series phones), with software bugs and manufacturing flaws. It could truly be great but for its "minor" shortcomings. I won't go through every issue it has, there is more than enough said in this forum about the N85 problems, but one thread in particular you should read if you're considering the N85 is:

Hi Appreciate your help here. I've loaded quite a few albums to my N85 using Win media player 11. The problem is that some tracked in some albums appear twice!! If I do nothing they also play twice. If I erase one of the double tracks the other one gets corrupted. Meaning it will not play and will not erase. I tried powering the unit down, removing the SD card powering up and inserting the card and nothing. By the way when I connect the N85 to the Win media player the corrupted file does not even appear. This is a very annoying problem because it happened once to ALL my files and I needed to master reset the unit.Please help.Ami

Occasionally my N85 will stop being able to play any sort of video. Unlike other known issues with similar names, it does not freeze part-way through a video.
When the problem is active, any attempt to play a video with any app (camera, RealPlayer, Gallery browser) results in no sound and a black screen/RealPlayer logo. The video counts down as if it is playing.
It seems to be caused by
a) Installing a video application (YouTube, BBC iPlayer etc)
b) copying a video onto the phone using the video manager.
Obviously "b" is more of a problem.
I have so far been able to work around this by restoring the phone to factory defaults whenever it happens, but this is not really ideal. It takes a few minutes every time, and longer to restore my customizations. I was hoping this would be fixed in the recent firmware update, but no such luck.
Any thoughts?you should post this to N85 issues and feed back.. N85 having alot alot of bugs... u can see more other major bugs

hi, I´ve got a serious problem with my N85. When I try to record a video in high-TV-quality(to my microSD card) it starts to lag extremely after about 8 sec., same problem with normal TV-quality after 30 sek..
Another interesting part is that after I stop the recording the video is saving for about 10 sec.!(even if the video is only 1 sec. long)
It works fine if I save videos to internal memory! My 8GB card is original and only 45% filled (so about 3.6GB free)
But now the interesting Part: It worked fine before(with the same SD card), the video didn´t lag and it was saved in about 1 sec. I didn´t add anything to my phone, so what could be the problem??
thanks for your helpI´ve testet the problem for a few weeks now and I noticed something. the video stuttering is gone when I delete older videos(they have to be older than 4 days), after i do that I can record a video up to a length of 10 min(or even longer, if I had time to try) but after 1 video the effect is gone, even if I delete the just recordet video. I also experienced that deleting a good video(non-stuttering) takes a lot less time than to delete a lagging one.
to sapporobaby: it sure is the way date is being written to the card, cause it is working if I record to phone memory, but I didn´t buy a Nseries device to capture videos with only 2 min. length.
Furthermore this problem is not listet in the changelog for the new SW
