ok i have maybe 2000 songs but only 1500 is going in my ipod and i have a 30 gb ipod and all my music is check what should i do ??

Just highlight only the songs you want and then drag and drop them onto your ipod icon. That's what I do for everything because I absolutely despise the automatically update option. If you change one bit of information about a file, the next time it updates, it makes a second copy on your ipod with the different information. No Thank You. It wouldnt be that bad if they didnt make it so that it actually freakin DELETES files that arent in your library. There is no explanation for that except pure insanity.

Can't burn my artwork files with my music onto CD WHY?

I am a musician, so when I want burn a disc of all my tracks from my own playlist, for my friends and family, I want to burn my original artwork files (which are all jpgs, pngs, gifs or tiffs so they should be compatible), onto the CD as well! I have already created my own original artwork which is in the playlist, but when I come to burn a copy of my music, it doesn't burn any of the artwork files that are in the playlist! I thought iTunes '09 new version, was supposed to be an improvement from the last versions for more flexibility and creative control for users. This obviously is NOT the case. I would like any correspondence from Apple or technical help as to why I can't do this because it's so frustrating and very annoying. iTunes isn't all that, that Apple claims it to be if it is this inflexible creatively! Surely, it can't be that difficult to write in the software for this creative facility that allows us to burn our own artwork files on to CD's along with our music? I would appreciate any comments you may have regarding this design fault. Anyone with any reasons as to why Apple have NOT addressed this problem? I am so disappointed with this lack of flexibility for musicians alike.

I have bought well known and established artists CD's containing their music, track lists and artwork files from branded retailers. When I have loaded them into iTunes, it automatically loaded the artwork files FROM the CD I bought, so all that nonsense about audio CD's having nothing but audio isn't accurate. No, they were not DVD's either. I will endeavor to find a software package that CAN do what I need as an independent artist. iTunes just doesn't cut the mustard for me, even though it's free. I do know about issues with copyright and artists protection, but there should be something that can be done or made in iTunes, so it doesn't infringe copyright of artists, but can be used by artists like myself without the software being abused by freeloaders. Oh well, maybe when I'm too old for this malarkey...

Transferred itunes library from Windows XP PC to new Windows 7 PC. plugged in 3rd gen Ipod. Ipod icon appears along with playlists, music etc. Songs are grayed out and won't play. Please help!

I recently transferred itunes library from windows XP PC to new Windows 7 PC. The transfer was successful, however when I plug my 3rd gen Ipod Nano into the new PC, the Ipod icon appears along with the music, playlists, etc. The songs are shown but are 'grayed out' and wont play or sync.The 'Devices & Printers' window in new PC shows icon for Ipod driver & is OK. The icon for the Ipod appears but depicts a delta shaped warning icon that states that the Ipod is'not operating properly'. Tried troubleshooting. The troubleshooting message states the the Ipod is 'disconnecting'. Can you help me with this problem?

Then, I dropped the entire itunes file from the old PC (XP) into an empty external drive.
That "itunes file from the old PC"? Is that the iTunes folder, from the old PC, that was in the user home folder's Music folder?
All of the library, playlists, etc. from the ipod as they always have been are shown, by they are 'grayed out' and will not open or play.
That's on the iPod, correct? Are all of your old playlists in iTunes, from the old PC, still there in iTunes on the new PC? Are the songs in iTunes still playable?

There are many steps, but this is a summary. (1) On the old PC, consolidate all of your iTunes data into the iTunes folder. (2) Copy this iTunes folder to the external drive. (3) On the new PC (that has iTunes installed but NOT running), replace its existing iTunes folder with the one from the old PC (on the external drive). When you run iTunes, it uses the iTunes folder from the old PC, and it should look like iTunes on the old PC (with all the playlists, ratings, play count, etc.), and your iPod will see the iTunes library as the same iTunes library (because it is the same library).
If you did something different, and the old PC is still accessible, you may want to try it using the method from the linked document.

Yoga Tablet 10" - update to Android 4.4 and further problems with Google Music

Hi everyone.
I've just upadated my Yoga Tablet 10" to Android 4.4. Whole process went smoothly but afterwards I'm experiencing some problems with Google Music. Playback is "skippy" or "choppy", even if whole song is downloaded. Every 15-25 seconds there small pause, which is quite annoying.
Local music files (uploaded through usb) seem to work just fine.
I've even tried resetting whole device to factory settings but without any success.
I also have an impression that youtube playback is not so smooth as it used to be in Android 4.2...
Has anyone experienced something similar? Any hints or sollutions?

I don't understand what's happening with my Music. All the songs that I purchased, that were previously on my phone, now show up a Cloud next to them, but I can't play them. If I touch the Cloud, it turns into a red square but never downloads.

I've sync'd my phone, I've turned it to "show all music" in Settings, I've drag and dropped the songs/albums onto my phone again. I feel like I've tried everything I've seen recommended, but nothing works.
I've purchased a lot of music from iTunes. It should be there. What's going on?

Once you successfully add you iTunes library to iTunes Match, you go to Settings>iTunes & App Store on your iOS device and turn on iTunes Match. Your iTunes Match library will then appear on your iOS device.

Have downloaded for example: Queen – Bohemium Rhapsody from a compilation album as well as a few complete Queen Album CDs into the iTunes library and then put them into playlists,
When I go onto my phone and select Queen on the MUSIC app using Songs tab at the bottom of the screen it will display all Queen songs and their resective Alum pics, that is all those not in a complilation album, .
If I know the song title I can select the songs tab and find the song that way,
I’ve tried fiddling with the settings in the iTunes app by going to ‘get info’ tab and trying to sort the problem out that way but am not having much luck.What I want the phone to do is show, for example all Queens songs including those in compilation albums. Can this be done, would be grateful for any ideas on how it can be done, that is if ic can be done, any ideas

Try assigning Queen as the Album Artist on the compilations in iTunes on your computer.

Iphone 4s wont sync when I connect it to the pc( not apple). It is connected as it comes up on itunes but when I try to sync it with apps/ music etc it wont. I am doing something wrong or is it a mistake with the phone.

iPod touches or any iDevices from Apple sync only to one computer. If you sync to a different computer, all your music will be replace with the music from the new computer's iTunes. If the music were purchased from iTunes, you can re-download them again otherwise the music on iPod touch will be deleted. Do you have iTunes backup?

I am confused. Do you mean you found the music, not the tones, or you can't find either?
If the former, then this is normal. You can't redownload tones from the Cloud.

Starting on a new computer now. I cant get my music to transfer from the itunes folder on the old computer? I keep getting error "Can't Read from the source file or disk." Whenever I got to folder properties its always checked read only. But when i play the song it works just fine. Im sure this is just because I added music into itunes folder but is there anyway to fix it?

WMA files are 'window media audio' files, which is a Microsoft format. If you want to add them to your iTunes library on your Mac then you will need to convert them into a compatible format first. If you still have your windows machine then iTunes for Windows can convert them from WMA to MP3 format : https://discussions.apple.com/message/24158701#24158701
Or try a search for, for example, 'convert wma to mp3' to find programs to convert them.

I don't know where the source of my music is coming from...? I played around trying to organize my library and Duplicated it and moved them around then somehow i deleted my library but saved my music so now i have a brand new library with my music

OK OK OK this is long but very very important i live on music......
     SO i thought i would organized my iTunes Library but i would do it from the music folder.........BAD IDEA.... i duplicated my music folder just INCASE something bad happend....then i started organzing and then i realized after 5 hours of work that the second i clicked itunes to open again, all the work i just did changed back to the orignial, so then i opend a new library and tryed to put my organized folders in that, BUT THAT WOULDNT WORK, so for like 5 more hours i keept going =( ok so right now I am in a NEW LIBRARY with what music i did save =( ***** because my iphone does not match the itunes on MAC anymore.....iphone has 10000 songs and itunes only 900 so ,
my questions 1. Can i go back to last night some how like restore it.....its been less than 24 hrs

I tried to sync and upload the iOS 5.0 version to my iphone 4 all was well it was processing then it just stopped and Now my actual I phone is frozen. I have turned it off. I have rebooted it several times the I phone itself shows a CD with a music not over it and under it in small letters iTunes with an arrow pointing up wards and a picture of the small end cable on the screen . it will not move change unlock it is frozen into that position.. how do i get the useage of my phone back this is rather daunting wehn all i was trying to do was up load the most recent version upgrade of iOS.. THe phone is NOT jail broken.. all i want to do is have it return back to how it was before i started the updae version process obviously it did not take and now it is locked into plave the screen will not change.. after reboots and shut down when i turn it back on the same screeen appears the cd disc with the music note over it and the arrow pointing upwards and a picture of the small end of the charge cord that fits into the actual compute.. I was given an iTouch with a music library loaded for me under another iTunes user account and need to know how to add it to my library/iTunes user account.

I receiced an iPad Touch for my birthday (before I had an iTunes account) and my friend loaded it with the music we both like. Since it was loaded with his iTunes account; I cannot sync it to my music library. I would like help to see if there's a way to do move this music to my iTunes music library. Please note that none of the music on the iTouch was purchased; the music came from his private library of music that has been in his collection for years, all live concerts, etc. I do respect the whole thing about protecting artists, for what it is worth the music is all live Grateful Dead concerts; the Grateful Dead allowed taping so there are no copyright issues here.

The short answer is have your friend burn those tracks to CDs and then import them into your iTunes library.
For lllaass: Its obvious you have never been to a Dead show, so we'll cut you some slack. The tracks in question were never purchased, they were taped live during the show. The Greatful Dead has always reserved "front row center" for a group affectionately called "tapers," because they always came prepared to record each show, and owing to the fact that no two shows were the same, some of those tapes are one of a kind..... I have taped shows myself, namely the shows at RFK Stadium in DC, and the Coliseum in Charlotte NC.
