HELPPPPP  i missed class bc i was sick

PART ONE:
Write a program that prompts the user to enter a sentence from the keyboard using JOptionPane.showInputDialog.
The program will print the characters back with the first letter of each word changed from lower case into upper case. If you have a capital letter in the original line and it is not the first letter of a word, then this letter should be switched from upper case to lower case. The only capital letters that should appear in the line must be the begining letter of every word in the line. All other characters will remain the same. At the end, the program will output a summation of:
How many upper case letters in the original sentence (before any changes)
How many lower case letters in the orginal sentence (before any changes)
How many blank spaces
How many other characters were encountered
The total number of characters.
Sample run:
If the user types in the following string:
This is JUst a Sample Run of the stupid homeWork.
Then the program should print out the following:
This Is Just A Sample Run Of The Stupid Homework.
Upper case letters : 6
Lower case letters : 33
Blank spaces : 9
Other characters : 1
Grand total : 49
Hint and Notes:
Use the TextString.charAt(position) method to break the string into individual characters within a loop structure.
Also use the TextString.length() method to get the length of your string
Lower case letters are within a range of characters, as are upper case letters based on ASCII values. See Appendix B in the textbook. A space has an ASCII value of 32. Do not write a gigantic switch statement with a case for each lower case letter and a case for each upper case letter. You should be able to test for the characters based on the ranges of values presented in the ASCII table in appndex B.

If you missed class, for whatever reason, it's your responsibility to catch up, and to arrange for an extension if possible. If it's not possible, that doesn't justify asking others to do your homework for you, and it doesn't make people here any more inclined to do your homework for you.
On the other hand, if you take a stab at it yourself, and post your attempts here, and ask specific questions about the specific parts that are giving you trouble, then somebody will probably be happy to help you (not do it for you--help you).

  • XML mapping inheritance problem; missing class indicator field

    Hi!
    I am currently working on a project which involves mapping a large domain model on a XSD schema. For this we use Toplink 10.1.3.1 which is mostly great. But now I have a problem while wanting to use class inheritance.
    In my XSD I have the following defined
    <xs:complexType name="Traject">
         <xs:sequence>
              <xs:element name="SoortTraject" type="SoortTraject"/>
         </xs:sequence>
    </xs:complexType>
    <xs:complexType name="SpecialTraject">
         <xs:complexContent>
              <xs:extension base="Traject">
                   <xs:sequence>
                                 [some elements]
                   </xs:sequence>
              </xs:extension>
         </xs:complexContent>
    </xs:complexType>My XML is an implementation of this XSD and looks like this
    <Trajecten>
            <Traject xsi:type="SpecialTraject">
                     [implementation of the elements]
             </Traject>
    </Trajecten>My domain model corresponts to the XSD, so there is a Traject object and an inherited SpecialTraject object.
    In the mapping I used the Advanced properties->inheritance on both descriptors telling the Traject descriptor that it was the 'Root Parent Descriptor' ('Use class indicator field' -> 'use XML Schema Type attribute', 'Use class indicator dictionary') and the SpecialTraject what it Child Descriptor was ('Traject').
    When I test my mapping it always results in the same error (no matter how I configure this inheritance mapping). It says :
    [TOPLINK-44] missing class indicator field
    Descriptor: XMLDescriptor(Traject --> [])What am I doing wrong? Does anybody know a sollution?
    Best regards,
    Jouke Stoel

    This is the changed XML descriptor file. When I deploy the file it automaticly overrides the old file so it ain't possible that I was still using the wrong file

  • Problems running servlet due to missing classes?

    Hi everyone,
    I am doing a project which requires me to convert a java coding into a servlet. This java coding I am working on is some kind of location based service which tracks people (receiving an argument of a string as IP). It imports an external SDK called Ekahau SDK (some off the shelve product). Now I wish to convert it into a servlet so that the function that the java coding performs can be run from a webpage i created.
    I have previously posted a thread on this forum called "Converting java coding into servlets?" when I had trouble compiling the servlet. Now that I could compile the servlet already, I still have problems running the servlet from my browser.
    The webserver I am using is Apache Tomcat. Previously I was trying Apache HTTP server but since now I need to use servlet, I have shifted to Tomcat instead. I have been getting these "java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError:" when running the servlet from the browser. From the previous thread, I got suggestions from the replies saying that I need to put the jar files I need into my "C:\Tomcat\webapps\try\WEB-INF\lib" directory. I have been looking for the missing jar files from the internet and putting them into my "C:\Tomcat\webapps\try\WEB-INF\lib", but each time after adding a new jar file, I get another new "java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError:". Are the missing jar files really the problems? Cause it seems a bit weird to me that I need some many jar files which I dont even know why I need them for.
    The HTTP status 500 error look like this:
    description
    The server encountered an internal error () that prevented it from fulfilling this request.
    exception
    javax.servlet.ServletException: Servlet execution threw an exception

    1) org/apache/commons/collections/Closure
    2) org/apache/log4j/Logger
    3) org/apache/commons/lang/Validate
    4) org/apache/excalibur/configuration/CascadingConfiguration
    Please help~~ Thanks a lot.

                         device.addStatusListener(statusListener);
                         device.setTrackingParameter("EPE.LOCATION_UPDATE_INTERVAL","6000");
                         device.setTracking(true);
                         // Wait until user inputs something. When he/she does, stop tracking and quit application
                         //BufferedReader in = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(System.in));
                         //in.readLine();
                         // Stop tracking and disconnect from the positioning engine:
                         device.setTracking(false);
                         PositioningEngine.disconnect();
                   return 1;
    }

    Well, it's kind of logical that as you put more jar files (classes) in Tomcat, it changes the error to ask for the classes (inside a jar) it cannot find.
    There was a good class->jar finder on the internet some years ago, but i don't remember the address. Try looking for that and search all the missing classes (NotDefined) and their correspondig jar files.
    Good Luck!

  • TopLink to EclipseLink migration - Missing class for indicator field value

    I am migrating Toplink 11g to EclipseLink 12.1.3.  I have EclipseLink.jar to the classpath. I have few mapping xml files. When executing the application, i am getting following error.
    Exception [EclipseLink-9005] (Eclipse Persistence Services - 2.5.2.v20140319-9ad6abd): org.eclipse.persistence.exceptions.SessionLoaderException

    Descriptor: XMLDescriptor(org.eclipse.persistence.mappings.DatabaseMapping --> [DatabaseTable(attribute-mapping)]).
    How to resolve this.

    Ooooops, sorry, guys!
    I was using TopLink 10.1.3.0 JARs to run a project created via TopLink 10.1.3.1 Workbench. That was the reason for the exception.
    I ran across the REAL problem, however. The one that was occurring when I created the TopLink project via JDeveloper 10.1.3.1 and ran it via JDeveloper 10.1.3.1. That's why I decided to try with TopLink 10.1.3.1 Workbench instead of JDeveloper 10.1.3.1.
    I will report the problem in a clean separate post.

  • Missing classes in WLS10

    There seem to be a load of missing classes in WLS10. I've posted this in [url http://forums.bea.com/thread.jspa?threadID=300003116]http://forums.bea.com/thread.jspa?threadID=300003116 ( this newsgroup is fairly well hidden )
    Thanks in advance
    -Giles

    I was wondering about the EXACT same thing! Doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason for leaving some classes in weblogic.jar and splitting the remainder in /modules.
    This has also caused immense heartache for Eclipse/WTP users who don't use (and never really had to) the WLS server plugin's. Now, you are pretty much forced to use the plugin due to all the build and code-editing classpath issues.

    This is extremely strange... If you're sure it's not a problem in your code or with your classpath, the only other thing I can think to suggest is re-downloading / installing java

  • Missing classe to implement How to Web Printing with MS Excel

    Hi there,
    we're trying to implement the How to paper "Web Printing with MS Excel". This paper comes with transport files to import the needed packages and classes.
    Now when I try to import that thing, the transport hangs. Checking the protocol shows that for each class there is the information: "Object ... was not included in this step."  Analysis shows that the Z-classes seem to inherit from the standard classes

  • Missing Class error from handler class - urgent question!

    Hi,
    I am getting an "Missing Class" error when running a web service. The web service was generated from a Java class via the "create J2EE web service" option.
    The web service has a JAX-RPC handler class added, which belongs to the same package as a logging class. The logging class is used to write to a file for debug purposes. A "missing class" error is being generated whenever I attempt to invoke the web service (via the enterprise manager test util), the error refers to the logging class which is used by the main handler class. The JAX-RPC handler works fine by itself, the error is only seen when I attempt to use the logging class.
    I have re-built, re-deployed from scratch again, but still get the same error! Am I missing something simple here?
    thanks for any advice

    Hello,
    I have posted something similar, but I am not sure how to get over this issue. I am not sure if this is a code issue, I have scanned both EJB 2.0 and 2.1 specifications, but nothing caught my eye.

  • "Missing Class" error when running web service

    Hi,
    I am getting an "Missing Class" error when running a web service.

    Cant you paste some of your code, formatted in code tags? It looks like there is a problem passing some of the XMl response, it doesnt like a tag html.
    If you post some code somebody might actually be able to help you.

  • Composite invoking Spring Context errors with Missing class indicator field

    Hi. I’m working on a composite with a Spring Context component that is referenced in a BPMN process and have run into some issues and I was hoping you may have some insight.
    I’m able to deploy the composite successfully, however when I try testing it on the SOA Server, it fails with the exception below:
    <auditQueryPayload auditId="17008" ciKey="12">
    <dataState>
    <dataObject name="FaultMessage" isBusinessIndicator="false">
    <value> com.oracle.bpel.client.BPELFault: faultName: {{http://schemas.oracle.com/bpel/extension}remoteFault} messageType: {{http://schemas.oracle.com/bpel/extension}RuntimeFaultMessage} parts: {{ summary=<summary>Exception [EclipseLink-44] (Eclipse Persistence Services - 2.3.1.v20111018-r10243): org.eclipse.persistence.exceptions.DescriptorException Exception Description: Missing class indicator field from database row [UnmarshalRecord()]. Descriptor: XMLDescriptor(com.bea.infra.events.ExtendedData --> [DatabaseTable(ns2:ExtendedData)])</summary> ,detail=<detail> Exception Description: Missing class indicator field from database row [UnmarshalRecord()]. Descriptor: XMLDescriptor(com.bea.infra.events.ExtendedData --> [DatabaseTable(ns2:ExtendedData)])</detail>} </value>
    </dataObject>
    </dataState>
    </auditQueryPayload>
    The class referenced in the error, ExtendedData, is a very simple, abstract class. Here it is:
    @XmlSeeAlso( { AssetUnregistered.class, ExtractionReassign.class,
    RelatedAssetRegister.class, ExtractionSubsequentNotify.class,
    ExtractionIntialNotify.class, AssetSubmission.class,
    ExtractionStatusChanged.class, MultiUse.class,
    ALERExtendedData.class })
    public abstract class ExtendedData {
    Do you have any thoughts or would know someone who could help?
    Thanks,
    Mike

    I've tried adding the jar to the classpath, installing the jar on the weblogic server, adding all the dependencies, and adding the jar to the project sourcepath. None of these worked either. Any Help would be appreciated.

  • Missing class error in AIA11g O2C PIP/

    Hi All,
    I have installed SOA Suite 11g and deployed AIA3.1 O2C Comms PIP. After deployment, on invoking any service i get the below error and the transaction fails. Can someone tell if there is any other configuration required.
    Any information would be highly appreciated.

    Check the detailed root cause described in the exception message text and verify that the XPath query is correct.

    Hello,
    I have posted something similar, but I am not sure how to get over this issue. I am not sure if this is a code issue, I have scanned both EJB 2.0 and 2.1 specifications, but nothing caught my eye.
    Here is the error I am getting starting this in JDeveloper 1013 :
    Apr 11, 2006 12:17:49 AM com.evermind.server.Application setConfig
    WARNING: Application: current-workspace-app is in failed state as initialization failedjava.lang.InstantiationException: Error initializing ejb-modules: [current-workspace-app:CNSI-JDev-7_Exp-7_0:DbUtilWrapper] - Unable to load ejb-class com.my.common.database.ejb.DbUtilWrapperBean, see section 23.2 of the EJB 2.1 specificationjava.lang.ExceptionInInitializerError: java.lang.NullPointerException
    Here is the ejb-jar.xml :
    <session>
    <description>Session Bean ( Stateless )</description>
    <display-name>DbUtilWrapper</display-name>
    <ejb-name>DbUtilWrapper</ejb-name>
    <home>com.my.common.database.ejb.DbUtilWrapperHome</home>

    <session-type>Stateless</session-type>
    <transaction-type>Container</transaction-type>
    </session>
    I am not sure if this should be in the assembly-descriptor, in ejb-jar.xml or orion-ejb-jar.xml :
    <method-permission>
    <unchecked/>
    <method>
    <ejb-name>DBUtilWrapper</ejb-name>
    <method-name>*</method-name>
    </method>
    </method-permission>
    Any ideas ?
    Thanks

  • WTC, wls-api.jar, weblogic.wtc.gwt.*, missing classes ?!

    Hi WLS fans,
    I've installed WLS 10.3 and I've tried to migrate WLS 8.1 App to WLS 10.3 via Workshop.
    I was supprised NOT to find the classes: TuxedoConnection, TuxedoConnectionFactory and all the rest needed classes to compile the code, in the wls-api.jar, weblogic.wtc.gwt
    package .
    WLS-ARI.JAR,  weblogic.wtc.gwt package_ (in WL_HOME\server\lib)
    I've realized that till v. 9, the package contained these classes.
    Since v. 10, the pachage contains ONLY one class: genpasswd. And there are a lot of missing classes/interfaces from the weblogic.wtc.jatmipackage as well.
    Could somebody tell me where are the other needed classes ? Have they been moved to some other package ?
    Have the WTC EJB logic been modified ?
    I use this code:
    {color:#0000ff}import weblogic.wtc.gwt.*;
    import weblogic.wtc.jatmi.*;
    TuxedoConnection myTux;
    TypedString myData;
    Reply myRtn = myTux.tpcall("MyTuxService", myData, 0); {color}
    //etc.

    Hi, George.
    From weblogic 10 onwards, weblogic transitively includes jars in the BEA_HOME/modules directory. The jar you are looking for is:
    modules/com.bea.core.jatmi_1.0.1.0.jar
    Cheers,

  • How to improve class-loading performance for missing classes

    Hi,
    do you have any ideas how we can improve the class-loading performance on a weblogic 12c running on jrockit? We spend about 20-30 ms per request in class-loading due to the way hibernate criteria API works (it tries to load quite a lot of missing classes). The only thing I came up with was to invert the class-loading using the weblogic descriptor for those missing classes (which are actually no real classes but some parts of a generated JPQL) which does improve performance a bit.
    Thanks
