My laptop ideapad lenovo u450p
shutdown after windows rady.
One time after 5 minutes .and outher time after 1 houser .

I have a computer lenovo u450p after replacing the screen is turned off and not turn on suddenly. Every time it runs 10 minutes and off for two hours and then shuts down sometimes. What could be the problem

An Additional plea for HELPPPPP, trying to import HDV files from a disc.

A co-worker of mine has copied HDV files of an event onto a DVD as a .mov file. When I import them into FCP it has a red line above the clip indicating it needs to be rendered. When I try to render it, the progress box blinks on then off and it doesn't render. I can hear the audio though. What do I need to do in order to render or view them?

You need to find out what codec was used to make the files. Note that .mov only tells us that it is a QuickTime file -not the codec. Once you know that, you can set up FCP accordingly or convert to something that FCP can use.
To find out.... press command & i keys in QuickTime Player to call up the Inspector window.
Post here with what it says next to Format.

Desperate plea: ipod not recognized by Windows/itunes

I apologise ...
for being yet another forum user who pops up with a desperate plea.
I am fairly geeky and done everything I can think of.
I have 2 ipods. One is a brand new video ipod, the other a 2nd generation. Both ipods work on one one laptop, my video ipod refuses to work on my Sony Vaio (whereas the 2g ipod is fine)
Specifically: I connect via USB and a "not recognised ... device malfunctioning" error occurs. Using exactly the same USB port, cable and a different (the 2g) iPod it works fine.
I have removed and reinstalled itunes and ipod updater.
I went to the mac store's "genius" bar and the ipod was given the all clear.
So, there's clearly a conflict between my video ipod and my Sony Vaio (running XP: have tried this with and without SP2) My question is what should I try next?
I've done everything I can think of, and as the other ipod works (and this video ipod works with other systems!) I am at a loss at to which variable to try next.
I apologise for bothering you regulars, but rest assured significant googling and more have turned nothing up ...

To make a little clearer as my post was not particularly eloquent: my 2g ipod works fine using the same USB cable and USB port. The 5g is not recognised. I am trying to establish the variable between these so I can fix it. Any ideas?

I am afraid, no, there are no errors when nothing is plugged in or, indeed, when the 2g iPod is plugged in. I've followed other threads on here and been sure to have usbstor.inf etc all in place.
When I plug in the 5g, windows says a device attached to the system is malfunctioned or unknown. In device manager it says the device is unknown.
The ipodservice is running and all other software and processes are there/have been reinstalled/restarted etc. I've done every I can logically think of!
I am really at a loss as to why my 2g iPod works and my 5g iPod won't. Annoyed as well, obviously, as the Mac store formatted my iPod today during the troubleshooting. Thus this morning I had 25GB of music and no ability to update, now I have 0GB of music and no ability to update (I still have all the music on my laptop, I mean simply I can't get it on to the iPod at the moment)
Can anyone think why one iPod works and one doesn't? Is there anything in the USB 1.1 or 2.0 side of things that could be playing up?

I'm going to guess videos buffer for a while also...
Two possibilities, one is you should close apps on the iPad, the other is your internet speed is not able to handle the demands of a high speed device.
To close apps: Double click home button, swipe up to close the apps.
To solve internet problem, contact your provider. Basic internet is not enough for video games and movies. Your router may be old and slow.

Select all the valid documents(Company code, Document Number and Fiscal Year, and You may need to call the function modules with Company code, Document Number and Fiscal Year in a loop.
for example
u_mode = 'N'.
Loop at IT_BELNR into WA_BELNR.
u_bukrs = wa_belnr-bukrs.
u_belnr = wa_belnr-belnr.
u_gjahr = wa_belnr-gjahr.
clear: wa_belnr, u_bukrs, u_belnr, u_gjahr.
Endloop.
Capture the error messages in a log and display it an ALV report.

Is this only happening on your computer or have you tried other people? If it is only your computer I would restart my computer and try again. Also, if you close out all excel windows you have open and type in transaction rrmx it should open BEx for you..

Hallo, my Firefox browser wont load youtube for some reason, the explorer will. I have tries to change the proxy setings as the firefox help center suggested, but to no avail. Also no updates were installed on firefox that I'm aware of. pleas help me.

For some reason firefox has stopped loading the youtube site for me. I can watch videos other people uploaded to facebook for example, but cant get into the site. the explorer will load the site, so I've tried changing the proxy settings in my firefox as recommended in the help center, but to no avail. Also there was no update installed that I'm aware of, getting to youtube through any link will simply give me an error message saying the connection was reset while the page was loading.

I had trouble with youtube and cleared all history and cache. This cleared up the problem(s).

i have my neenon about one month. so far it worked quite well until a few days ago. every time i plug it to the usb the computer seems to have a problem to identify the device and it gets stuck on this window (the window image is in hebrew):it seems to take to much time to act only on this process, and after it finally finished (about 0 minutes) it cannot open the neeon file and it says something about a problem with the input/output.i go to "zen neeon media explorer" and is says that the device is not even pluged in!?same problem with other comuters! so the problem is realy on the neeon. i already tried to press on play/off button and plug in the usb at the same time and then downloading?a firmware but it did not helped at all. can somebody pleas help me?

Plea to Apple to sort iCal invitations - or has someone got a workaround?

I know there are a million threads on this topic, so I've phrased this more as a plea to Apple to sort out rather than a question. But there is a question - has anyone got a workaround this?
I use iCal and MacMail. I have 2 email accounts and 2 calendars. Let's call them Mail.1, Mail.2, Cal.1 and Cal.2 so I can talk about them below. My calendars are not local, I use Google to host them.
All I want is this:
1) To 'tie' an email account to a calendar account, such that;
2) Meeting requests that I receive in account Mail.1 go into Cal.1
3) Meeting requests that I recieve in 1 account Mail.2 go into Cal.2
4) Responses (accept/decline/maybe) to be 'sent' from the mail account associated with that calendar
5) When I create a meeting go from the mail account associated with that calendar
At the moment, this is totally hosed in iCal. Meeting invites, for me, pitch-up in the wrong calendar. Meeting request responses come from the wrong email address (so the receivers' calendar client gets confused, as do they). You can't change the calendar if you are not the organiser.......the list of problems goes on.
Basically, you can't run a home and work life on a Mac at the same time and it all seems so simple to fix. So, please Apple - fix it.

Are you working on the "new and improved" version of iCal that uses CalDAV? What a frickin' disaster "upgrading". Used to be able to move invites to other calendars, not any more! The only work around is to duplicate it and change it. But then you have two events.
I used to be able to hide information on events so people just know I'm busy. Why do they need to know my business?? Not any more. I've had to resort to copying every event into a "published" calendar and use the old version. At least until they kill it.
Very frustrating.

Persistent password plea

I'm running Windows XP, using Linksys wireless router BEFW11S4, ver.2
I want to use the router's wireless capabilities, including use of a WEP.
I can access the Setup page, entering with a password, but when I try to Apply my settings, the program insists on asking for a user name and password. But it will not accept my username and password. It won't even accept the default username (leave blank) and password ("admin"). I just keep getting the message box, "The server 192.168.1.1 at Linksys BEFW11S4 V.2 requires a user name and password. Warning: This server is requesting that your user name and password be sent in an insecure manner (basic authentication without a secure connection).
So how do I proceed past the persistent password plea?

You probably have to Uninstall Norton Internet Security (NIS) software. Disabling NIS is sufficient for some, but I had to uninstall before I could reset my router. Then reinstall NIS once I was complete with my router settings.

PLE / PLW400 Initial Setup Issues.

Hi,
I should start by saying that my ultimate destination between the devices is across more than one fuse board / consumer unit. I have a new outdoor games room which comes off a different fuse unit.
So I set up my PLE / PLW 400 units today as per instructions within the same room and they worked just fine. I then moved the PLW unit out to the games room and it worked instantly - my ipad connect wirelessly to my amazement and seemed fine. This evening I took my laptop out and it worked wirelessly and CAT cabled. I then tried to connect my PS4 down there using both wireless and wired. It "saw" the network but timed out getting an IP address. When I then plugged my laptop back in I got "limited connectivity" messages.
As with these things I "invested" a couple of hours resetting, switching on and off etc etc. The laptop connects sometimes, the PS4 never. As soon as I bring it back inside then it's fine.
Do I just cut my losses and accept this isn't going to work? I just want something easy and reliable down in the games room - I don't want constant nagging from the rest of the family that "internets down".
Any suggestions? Or just return to Amazon?

no, unless you see the option to use cellular data.
Or wait until you're using a different wifi connection to set up your phone.
