I think ur webdynpro service is not active after upgradation.
You have manually activate it.
Go go Tcode SICF,Execute the Initial screen,
and in this new screen give service as your application name and click on filter.
You will get your service below which will be ur application name .
right-Click on the deactivate and activate it or just activate it,.

The next level manager is unable to view or access appraisal forms for all

I am facing an issue where in the next level manager is not able to see the appraisal docs of employees.
Follwing is the link that we found on SDN related to the same issue-
Next higher level manager should see the appraisal docs of the employees
During the PM testing, an issue was discovered with the existing logic of the Default Next Level Manager BADI.
When a manager manually reports to a NL managers organization unit, the next level manager is unable to view or access appraisal forms for all the employees who report to the manager.
For example,
NL Manager/Cheif: Susan
Manager/Chief: John
Employees: Mary and Matt
If Johns position (manager/chief) has a A 999 Reports to dotted line relationship to Susans organization unit (NL Manager), then Susan is unable to access, approve or reject the appraisal forms for Mary and Matt (Johns direct reports).
The relationship type is A 999 Reports to dotted line
Type of related object O (Organizational Unit)
We need to update the BADI in order for the next level manager to be able to access appraisal forms as described in the example above.
BADI implementation Name : Z_HRHAP00_DOC_DEF_DO
Method - IF_EX_HRHAP00_DOC_DEF_DO~DEFAULT_OTHERS
Now we are facing the following issue-
After identification of the employees who report to the managers organizational unit using the A 003 Belongs to relationship we are not sure how to pass these employees information from BADI to appraisal form, so that the previously identified Next Level Manager will be able to access, accept and reject appraisal forms for these employees.
For further details please refer the thread. I was not able to understand how this can be achieved.
Can anyone please mention in brief how I should be able to do this. I am new to this and I would appreciate any help .

There are no Function Modules to my knowledge. Pls try the transaction S_AHR_61016530 which would display the User's approvers as per hierarchy. This would bring datas from the HR tables. If this helps pls award points.

About global variables in forms personalization

Hi all,
I did forms personalzation based on global variables.
When when i login for the first time untill and unless i validated the global variables the following error is displaying.
Tokens in the string could not be evalated. please check the syntax.
Once i validated the global variables then it will working fine.
Did any of you have faced this problem please let me know the solution.

The Exception Handler gave all the info that you need. No need to print the whole stack trace.
The exception handler says

Look in the session bean (assuming that is where your underlying rowset is). Look in the _init() method for statements similar to the following:

Getting information about configured(webservices.xml) web service handlers

Hi Guys, The situation is: In a Web Service, I have few GenericHandlers configured as server(Role) in webservices.xml(for IBM Runtime) & server-config.wsdd(Axis Runtime). Say the handlers are A, B & C. Now, when there is a inbound call A,B & C are getting invoked as expected.
I am basically lookin for a way to know (programmatically) the # of handler configured for this web service i.e., 3 in this case and few other handler specific details.
I was investigating getting hold hold of HandlerChain by following way
HandlerRegistry hndlReg = service.getHandlerRegistry(); List hChain = hndlReg.getHandlerChain(new QName("http://test.com","PortName"));
, but I dont get hChain containing information about A,B or C. Ya, here I can add Handlers programmetically which gets invoked also. But no information of already configured handlers in configuration files.
Is there any way(programmetically) to get the details about already configured handlers.

Check these three tables:
SDK : It stores the information about form.
SDC : It stores the information about version and form fields.
SDH : It stores the information about nested forms.

We are developing an embedded system. We need install a web server in our system. We got some information about Sun web server, but it is not enough for us to decide which web server we should use. Would you please give me some detail information of Sun web server?

Web services and forms

I´m very new at this... I want to use a web service in an Oracle Forms9i application, I have created a stub in JDeveloper, added path to CLASSPATH and used the Java Importer in Forms to create a PL/SQL package. So far so good. Now to my problem, I dont understand how to use the PL/SQL package... The web service I want to use is http://webservices.scandinavian.net/flightstatus/FlightService.asmx?WSDL, it is a web service that returns information about flights.
So is there anyone who knows how to use this web service?

The WSDL you have mentioned in your original email is not available; getting back some .NET error page:
Description: HTTP 404. The resource you are looking for (or one of its dependencies) could have been removed
If you can use our latest Developer Preview drop (DP4), take a look at the How-To documents [1] - How-To Develop a Web Service From a WSDL Document should help you.
You can also take a look at the genProxy command, in chapter 16 of the User Guide [2]. Chapter 13 is also a good place to get started.
