Helve Font in Adobeforms

Hello -
We are converting from SAPscript to Adobe Print Forms using the Adobe LiveCycle Designer.
Our SAPscripts use the Helve font which is not available in the LiveCycle Designer. We were able to purchase and download a Helvetica font into the Window/Fonts file path. The purchased Helvetica font is now availabe to the LiveCycle Designer but, does not match the SAPscript Helve font.
We want the new Adobe form fonts to match the SAPscript fonts.
Our question is: How can we match the SAPscript Helve font? Do we need to determine the Font Family for the SAPscript Helve font and purchase it? Can we make the SAPscript font available to the LiveCycle Designer?
Any help is appreciated

Hi,
You should try getting the font of same family.

  • Problem with Helve font in Adobe forms

    Hi Gurus,
I am working on an Adobe form.It contains Helve Font size 10  and 14. But I am not able to find Helve Font in the font pallette while creating that form  in live cycle designer or in SAP. Is there any option to add fonts? How can I make Helve font availanle? Or is there any other alternative?
    Awaiting your valuable answers.
    Thanks,
    Raje.

    Hi Raj,
As Harman says, font must be installed on your computer at design time.
And if you want to use the font at runtime, the font must be available to the ADS.
    Just take a look at:

  • Font family HELVE missing in adobe

    Dear experts,
Th HELVE font family is currently being used in SAPscript which now needs to be converted to adobe form. The adobe designer does not have HELVETICA font. How  I do I add that?  I see some posts that the font file needs to be place in a directory. Any idea where we can get those font files from?
Any helpful answer will be suitably rewarded.
    Thanks!
    Veena

    Thank you.
But I want to use the [i3] variation font.
    <scriptsrc="//use.edgefonts.net/open-sans-condensed:n3,i3,n7:all;open-sans:n3,i3,n4,i4,n6, i6,n7,i7,n8,i8:all.js">
    Would look like?
    CSS Selector {
    font-family: open-sans-condensed:i3, sans-serif;

  • Font substitution after upgrade from 46c to ERP2005

In 4.6C systems in SAPSCRIPT I can chose HELVE font in various sizes from a drop down list. In ERP2005 systems I can only choose a font family HELVE. I can then type size 9pt. In print preview everything is okay however, when printing to a  printer this font goes to an outline style font due to some font substitution going on behind the scenes. Why is this different to 4.6C systems and can we do something about it?
Just tried HELVE 8pt and that works. I have no idea why 9pt doesn't. This is not a printer driver issue, we have tried this on various different printers with same end result. Any idea's??

    Hi Chris,
As a work around, you may try re-adding/updating the font using SE73.

  • Font size incorrect when printing smartform

    Hi,
I have a smartform containing many smaller windows with frames. One big window should show a word in grey and in big letters behind all the other windows.
In my smartstyles, I have used the font family "HELVE", font style bold and the size 72. When I print to a sap printer device, the word is printed in very small letters and in black. When I´m printing about LOCL and then on the same printer, the fontsize is correct.
What can I do to change that?
The second problem is, that the letters are shown over the frames of the other windows, but it should be completely in the background. I put the window with the backgorund letters as the first window on the screen to get it behind all others, but it´s not working....
    Cheers Arne

there  is   some  proble in printer  setting.....
    contect  the basis person....
    method   for  font  size....
Define the paragraphs & character formats using SMARTSTYLES & use them in your smartform.
You have to give the smartstyle name in the Form attributes-->Output options for the formats to be used in your smartform.
frm ur pc only u can get this font file..
go to control panel , in tat go to font and select your desired font file..
now give the path of this font file in se73..
after doing that this file will be uploaded into ur SAP server.
Se73 - > True type font installation - > Font name - > specify the name of the font file - > execute

  • English Font In Bi-Lingual Forms

    Hi All,
We are creating Bi Lingual (Arabic and English) Smart forms with logon language as Arabic.
For English Text we are using Styles with character format of TIMES font.
But in output,  English text is being displayed in COURIER Font.
We tried with Helve Font also, but output is always COURIER.
But when we create FORM with logon language as English. All fonts are working fine.
But as the requirement includes arabic to be printed Right to Left, We need to create form in Arbic language.
Every thing is working fine apart from FONT.
    Thanks in advance...
    Regards
    Ravi

    Hello Rebecca,
I have a little different question on the same issue.
Our site is in Hebrew, but some sites' names are in English.
I used this method for breadcrumbs:
    <!--MS:<asp:sitemappath runat="server" sitemapproviders="SPSiteMapProvider,SPXmlContentMapProvider" rendercurrentnodeaslink="false"
    hideinteriorrootnodes="true">-->
    <!--ME:</asp:sitemappath>-->
This method works great for the Hebrew sites and shown like this:
Hebrew name level 3 < Hebrew
    name level 2 < Root
    in Hebrew name
But for the English names it is like this:
English name level 2 >  English
name level 3 < Root in Hebrew name
As you can see, it is going left to right in the English names including the angle brackets,
instead of continuing the path in the right direction.
Is there any property that tells this controller to avoid this behavior?
    I appreciate your answer,
    Shiri

  • Change non-dynamic attributes of MBeans to dynamic attributes

    Hi All,
I have legacy code (for WL 8.1), that must run with WL 10.3. There are old Admin scripts for the domain-configuration of the application. During the configuration of the domain, the scripts are trying to set some MBean properties. These properties are non-dynamic, so consuming the change of these properties requires a restart of the Administration Server.
Is there a way to make these non-dynamic attributes to be dynamic? So, how can I omit the restart(s) of the server?
The messages in the log file are like this:
A non-dynamic change has been made which affects the server adminServer. This server must be rebooted in order to consume this change.
Interestingly, in the log files of the old system (WL 8.1) there is no sign of the need of reboot. In those logs, there is nothing like "non-dynamic", "restart", "reboot".

It is not possible to change the font family of smartstyles. Yes, you are write... Uni-code enable printer cannot support Helve fonts we should use HELVECRYL (cyrillic fonts) else alignment of quantity, amounts all gets truncated.

  • Smart style is not effecting in smartforms print preview

    Hi All,
i have created my smart style with HELVE font style and i have created paragraph formats for my smart style. And i assigned one of my paragraph format to header data-> standard format.
I have used this smart style in my smart form. But while doing print preview, my smart form output is not effected by the smart style which i have given. Output is displaying in the form of  my smart styles-> header data-> standard format's  font wise. Not effecting the paragraph formats what i have given in my smart form text editor.
could anyone  reply me how to solve this issue.
    Thanks in Advance.

You can do one last thing from your side to ensure you are absolutely right. Open your smartstyle and create a paragraph format under paragraph node, with name P1 (for example). Now in P1, keep the font as Helve and save and ACTIVATE.
Go back to your smartform, open the concerned text node. Select the text in it and from the drop down select P1. If you have not assigned this smartstyle to your form in attribute node, in that case you need to assign this smartstyle to your form (or in the output option tab of the text node) to get the P1 in the drop down.
Save and activate the smartform. And let us know if it solves your issue.
    Cheers,

  • Printing trhough SAPWIN with ZEBRA printer

    Hi Gurus
I need your help please since I already spent a lot of time to find a solution and not found any.
I use Smartform to produce labels on ZEBRA printer (output Device Z201, Device Type ZLZEB2:Zebra label printer 203dpi). All fields on my form use HELVE as font. I print my form through Z201 and it works fine.
My requirement now is to print the form to ZEBRA printer locally using SAPWIN (Rel 4.x/SAPlpd 4.09 + ONL:Y) as device type. To do this I created a new output device LCLB, copied the device type SAPWIN into ZWIN and attached to output device LCLB
The problem is when I print the form using LCLB, all my fields with HELV font are printed with COURRIER font.
I went in transaction SE73 and display printer fonts associated with ZWIN and it seems that all fonts (COURCYR, COURIER, OUR_I7, HELVCYR, HELVE, HELV_I7, OCRA, OCRB, TIMECYR, TIMES, TIME_I7) are defined there. Do I miss something? Do I have to redefine the print control in ZWIN with control characters corresponding with ZEBRA printer?
    Any feedback would be appreciated
    Thank you

    Hi Valter,
did you figured it out why do you had a problem with that printer?
    tks

    hi all,
when i write in sap script a sentence with underline when i write it with "helva" font, the underline is separate every world like "<u>i</u> <u>go</u> <u>to</u> <u>school</u>"
and when i write it by courier it's ok,write it without separate like " <u>i go to school</u>".
i need to write with helve.
    what is the reason?
    please help i got crazy.

    Hi
You have to create an underlined character or paragraph .
So go to Paragraph or character section and then FONT:
    here actvie option UNDERLINED.
If you choose to create a underlined paragraph all words belonging to paragraph'll be underlined:
    UN This paragraph is underlined
If you choose to create an underlined character you can choose which words have to be underlined:
    Only this <CU>word</> is underlined.

  • Where to download the font (HELVE) for Zebra Z4M Plus

    Hi guys,
I'm just working on label print wither Zebra Z4M Plus, I use standard font "HELVE', but as I know I should upload the font in the printer itself to support different stye/size printout, I did check the Zebra and SAP website, but couldn't find where to download it?!
    Anybody knows this?!
    Thanks for help

Yes, I know, but the printout still get problem, all fonts are bold, the space between letters are changing, for bigger font, letters are just overlapped together!
I have read a SAP whitepaper on smartform label, it would be better if we can upload font in the printer. And also I just wonder, if you upload other font such as ARIAL, TIMES or whatever TrueType Font, will it be ok for both SAP smartform and Zebra printer?!
    Thanks

  • Russian does not perfectly be supported by font HELVE in smartform.

    hi!!!
We are now developing Russian report in smartform in solution manager 7.01. We use font HELVE for the smartform, however, it seems font HELVE does not perfectly support Russian as some text on the printed pdf get overlapped. Could some one help?
    Regards,
    Clark

    Hi Clark,
For Russian characters you should use Russian fonts like HELVCYR. TIMECYR or COURCYR in the sapscript or smartform. You also need to ensure that the correct language key is used. Also for PDF conversion you need to upload true type fonts that support the Russian characters un der font families HELVCYR, TIMECYR and COURCYR as described in SAP note #322998.

    # section.
    # Generic entries for a font must follow more specific entries for the same
    # font. For instance, if you want to subset helvetica Plain, helvetica Bold,
    # helvetica Italic and helvetica Bold-Italic fonts, your entries must be:
    # [ PDF:Subset ]
    # helvetica..Italic.Bold.. = "Arialbi.ttf"
    # helvetica...Bold.. = "Arialb.ttf"
    # helvetica..Italic... = "Ariali.ttf"
    # helvetica..... = "Arial.ttf"
    # If helvetica..... entry appears in the top of the list, all the styles of
    # helvetica font in the layout will be subset as helvetica Plain font.
