I'm getting an error message when trying to make in-app purchases.
    Error purchasing from App Store
Cannot connect to itunes Store (0)
I can purchase songs in itunes, but not the in-app purchase for Kingdoms at War. I've checked the parental controls and all the other obvious things in settings. Let me know if anyone knows how to correct this. Thanks.

Here is an update and more information:  I actually have two MBP's.  One is a mid-2009 model and one is a new, mid-2012.  I transferred files from the mid-2009 to the mid-2012, but I use both computers frequently.  This problem only occurs on the mid-2009 and not on the mid-2012.  I have authorized both computers.

  • Has anyone seen the following error when using Safari on IPad?

    http://www1.pcprotection72.co.cc
Warning! Your computer is at risk of malware attacks.
We recommend you check your system immediately. Press OK to start the process now...
Safari is frozen, but I clearly do not want to click OK. Is there a way to Force quit Safari? Everything else on IPad seems to be working fine. Thanks.

I have not seen that particular message but in no way is it good. To force quit an application; hold down the Power Button at the top until the "slide to power off" appears and then immediately switch from the Power Button to the Home Button until the application quits.

This sounds like a virus or malware program that has made its way onto your computer.  I would ensure you have the latest virus definitions on your computer and run a thorough (complete) scan of your system.  If this doesn't work, I would suggest  you use Microsoft's Malware Removal Tool.  You can download it at the link below.   Hope this helps.

  • Has anyone seen the below error before? Does anyone have any ideas on how to

go about troubleshooting it? I am using a PCI-GPIB card on a WIN95 machine in an attempt to communicate with an
ESP300 Universal Motion Controller ver 3.03. which reponds to ASCII commands.
As a basic first step (using LabVIEW 6.0.2) I first attempted the example on p.20-6
of the LabVIEW ver 6 Measurements Manual. I passed the string "*IDN?".
I get the following error from the Simple Error Handler:
Error -1073807339 occurred at VISA Write in esp300_scott1_mod4.vi
    Possible Reasons:
VISA: (Hex 0xBFFF0015) Timeout expired before operation completed
In a second attempt I tried using LabVIEW version 5 with the example on 8-12 of the
    User Manual, here I g
et the same error from the Simple Error Handler:
Error -1073807339 occurred at VISA Write in esp300_scott1_mod4_ver5.vi
    Possible Reasons:
VISA: (Hex 0xBFFF0015) Timeout expired before operation completed
N.B.--> I have successfully used NI's Measurement and Automation Wizard to communicate
with the instrument. When I pass the string *IDN? I get the response:
    ESP300 Version 3.03

Your best VISA troubleshooting utility is the VISA Interactive Control (nivisaic.exe). From this utility, you can use the VISA protocol to communicate with each of the VISA resources available on you system. If you are unable to get this utility to properly recognize or use your NI-GPIB card, It may be suggested to uninstall/reinstall the NI-VISA distribution. If you can get the utility to work then there is a programmatic problem which you must address. Debugging programmatic issues is best troubleshot using the VISAIC utility, NI-SPY (nispy.exe), and highlight execution. If you can outline a flow from within VISAIC, using NI-SPY you can log this flow and attempt to emulate it from within LabVIEW. Make sure each of the functions has the proper inputs. Also, try usin
g some of the VISA/GPIB examples shipped with LabVIEW.

  • Has anyone solved the privilege error message in iTunes?

Has anyone solved this? I can't get itunes to upload anything because it keeps producing this error message. I've followed the advice on other threads to change 'read & write' access and enable it across all, yet this has absolutely had no impact. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to get round it so we can use itunes again please? Thanks.

    Hi,
I got iTunes 7.3 running fine on my home computer (G5
2.7, OSX10.4.10) but still cannot get it to run on my
office MacPro Intel 2.66 without the -50 error. I
even tried downloading again this morning a new
    installer from the Apple site.
Try what I did, it worked for me. Do the video podcasts solution part first. It's fairly painless to apply, and above all works.

Yes, some perople have seen this. Options:
    1. Try reinstall iPhoto. (see below)
    2. If you have access to another Mac with the same version of the OS, try and copy that framework over
    3. Reinstall the OS.
    To re-install iPhoto
    1. Put the iPhoto.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applications Folder to the trash)
2a: On 10.5:  Go to HD/Library/Receipts and remove any pkg file there with iPhoto in the name.
2b: On 10.6: Those receipts may be found as follows:  In the Finder use the Go menu and select Go To Folder. In the resulting window type
    /var/db/receipts/
A Finder Window will open at that location and you can remove the iPhoto pkg files.
    3. Re-install.
If you purchased an iLife Disk, then iPhoto is on it.
If iPhoto was installed on your Mac when you go it then it’s on the System Restore disks that came with your Mac. Insert the first one and opt to ‘Install Bundled Applications Only.
If you purchased it on the App Store you can find it in your Purchases List.

    Hi pholewinski!
I have a couple of articles for you here that I believe will help you with this issue. The first is an article on advanced troubleshooting, and it can be found here:
    iTunes: Advanced iTunes Store troubleshooting
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts3297
If following that article's steps doesn't take care of the issue, you can try the things listed in this article, which is about permissions issues in iTunes:

  • Has anyone been able to upload an ibooks file with audio only files (m4a) in it? I keep getting the following error message during the upload in iTunes Producer: ERROR ITMS-9000: "Files of type audio/x-m4a are not allowed outside of widgets.

Has anyone been able to upload an ibooks file with audio only files (m4a) in it? I keep getting the following error message during the upload in iTunes Producer: ERROR ITMS-9000: "Files of type audio/x-m4a are not allowed outside of widgets. then it names the file as an m4p file. Everything works beautifully on the iPad through Preview, and validates through iTunes Producer up until the attempted upload. If you've been able to accomplish this, please let me know how you prepared your audio files. Many thanks.

    Hello Fellow iBook Authors!
Today I received the same error that you all have been discussing.  I tried selecting the DRM
and this did not work for me, though I'm glad it did for some.  Here's what I did as a work-around. . .
Since iBooks Author did not have a problem with Videos, I simply used one of my video programs, ScreenFlow to turn the audio into a video file m4v.  I added an image and extended the length or timing of the image to span the length of the audio file.  Then exported as an .mov.  I then opened QuickTime and opened the file and exported the file to iTunes.
You can use iMovie, Camtasia or any other progam that will allow you to export the audio as a movie file.  Does this make sense?  I hope this helps, at least in the short-term.
