Your image is correctly referenced in the feed, is the right size, and is present on the server.
The Store can be quite slow to show a new image, and sometimes it seems to get stick and can take quite some days - or even weeks. I'm afraid there isn't really anything you can do about it except wait for the Store to catch up/

I have to actually same problem today 23.10.2012. For an example I have only changed billing methods and have bought hundreds of apps but I remember clearly that I bought for an example ,,Wikipanion Plus'' and ,,OPlayer'' which is now HD OPlayer and I did not see them in purchased items, neither ,,not on ipad/iphone'' nour ,,not on my computer'' and I check in both my computer. I confirm hereby that I took the chance to re-buy these two Apps again through the same account but I got the message ,,As you have bought the previous version on this account you will get this update for free'' so I clicked yes and I got them both. This doesnt only proof that I have purchased them before and purchased items in iTunes Store has some lacks to fix but also it proofs that I also bought them through that specific account as I had to confirm the buying process. In my opnion this is not a thing which Apple should be relaxed with as its very important that powerusers and regular consumers can trust and rely on doing business and to shop via iTunes. I have a lot of expensive Apple Hardware and for me this is a stepping stone and a serious test on the circle of trust. If this cant be fixed I cannot recommend others to trust the store.

Podcast image is not showing during testing.

I subscribed to my podcast feed to test it in iTunes before submitting to the iTunes store. All is working well except the podcast image is not showing. What do I need to do to get the image to show?

The image which appears on the Store page is referenced in the feed: but the image which appears when you subscribe (either manually or from the Store page) is not - it is embedded in each episode's media file. This page explains the situation and what to do about it:

Podcast artwork shows up in the iTunes store, but not after downloading

I have several podcasts in iTunes and the artwork for all the shows show up in the iTunes store without an issue. However, if you download a podcast, the artwork does not show up in the library of iTunes or transfer to the iPhone.
All images are 600X600
Any Ideas?
My podcasts are part of the Music Podcast Network. If you search "mpn" in iTunes, they are easily found. MPN: Pop, Country, Hip-Hop, etc.

Thank you. However the answer is more for someone who is downloading podcasts, while I want to make sure there is not an issue when someone downloads one of my podcasts. I use smartfeed in feedburner and have the image included. When I preview the image in feedburner, it looks perfect. However, the image is not being downloaded in iTunes when you download a single episode. I also have the image selected for each episode when I publish on my libsyn accounts. Probably because you have not signed in in the Settings app. The iTunes and App Store keeps track of apps that need updating and auto updates apps for you. You need to be sign in for this to work.
Settings > iTunes and App Store > sign in.

Why is Podcast specification is not working as described, in iTunes?

I have created a podcast as per the latest podcast specifications mentioned in

But not everything works, as expected.
1) The "Artist" column is displaying "Unknown" even though, the <itunes:author> tag has a value in it.
2) Keyword search is not working. When I perform a search based on the keywords mentioned in the <itunes:keywords> tag, my podcast is not showing up in the search results. Does iTunes search engine take a few days to index these keywords with the podcast?
3) The image is not showing up, even though I have specified an image in the <itunes:image> tag. And the spec says that it takes a few days before the image appears. Approximately how long does it take for the image to appear in iTunes, after a Podcast is submitted on it?
In general does it take iTunes some time before it shows certain content for a podcast? Because, all of these things work in other podcatchers (for e.g Yahoo podcatcher), but they dont work as expected in iTunes.

iTunes search and update is affected by the phase of
the moon so no one really knows. Key words need to
have commas but even then it doesn't seem to work
most of the time.
I still need to know why certain columns are not being populated correctly, for example the Artist appears as unknown even though I have supplied a value in <itunes:author> tag. And there are many other issues.

I have The ****** Off World of Uncle Hal Radio Show and I have had a great time with it. Every week I upload my show and then ping iTunes. My latest episode will show up in the store pretty quick. I have subscribed to my own podcast (http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPodcast?id=173914731) and can download the latest episode but in the iTunes store my latest show (Episode 29) does not show up. My latest episode shows up on all directories on line and in my subscription in iTunes but not on the store! Anyone know what's going on? There should be 29 shows...not 28.

How Do I Delete a Podcast that Can't Be Found in the iTunes Store

I have recently taken over the technical side of a church. We have a podcast submitted through iTunes that another gentlemen once administered. The problem is, we can't find that Podcast in the iTunes store. I can still get the podcasts to show up and download in the "Podcasts" section of iTunes, but I can't get it to appear on the store. We host our files on a site called "Cloversite," which unfortunately manages the XML feed and all of the submission process by itself. The podcast URL is http://towneministries.org/podcast.php?pageID=28. I need to get to the store link so that I can request that it be deleted, but I can't find it. We cannot change the URL due to the host, and therefore we cannot resubmit appropriately. How can I request that it be deleted and have the RSS removed so that we can resubmit and manage under a universal email address?

The URL you quote is that of the feed, not the Store page, residing on your server.
The podcast doesn't seem to be in the Store so if it was ever there it's presumably been removed. The fact that you can subscribe to the feed in iTunes is a purerely local matter - your own iTunes application is simply connecting directly to the feed and the Store is not involved.
However there is a bug in the Store which will prevent you resubmitting the feed as it stands and will tell you it's already been submitted (even if it's been removed). The workaround for this is to change the title slightly (you can always change it back later) - if you can also change the feed URL that would also be a good idea. Then you should be able to submit the feed as an entirely new podcast.

OK, the problem is partly solved. iBooks Author is not 'smart' enough to realize the iPad had been plugged-in and iBook on if all that happens after iBooks Author is already started. On the off chance that that was the problem I Quit iBA, made sure the iPad was connected and iBook was on then restarted iBA. Sure enough, there it was.
I really like Mac's but sometimes they're not as smart as they think they are.

Apple saw it as their responsibility since the redirection took me to the App Store. They assisted me in stopping the redirection which is occurring on many peoples iPhones. It's a have java script problem that adking is using to get you to buy their games. The websites work normal and then all of the sudden the website is taken over by adking.com. You can no longer use the website as it immediately takes you to the App Store without ever showing a popup to cancel the redirection. They were very helpful fixing the problem should others experiencing this specifically with adking.com.
No need to get defensive. I'm not the only one experiencing the problem Apple said.

Why is my image icon not showing up for subscribers?

I'm using podbean which produces the itunes feed and auto-submits it. You can see the icon when you visit the itunes page on the web - https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/bloggersareweird/id589296259 but when you actually subscribe via iTunes the icon does not show up either on desktop/laptop iTunes or iPad/iPhone.
Can someone take a look at my feed and see what I did wrong? My image dimenstions are 1400x1400 which is the recommended size, I believe.

Though the image which appears in the iTunes Store is referenced in the feed (as you have done) the image which appears in some podcasts when subscribing is not. It has to be actually embedded in the media file, and can be different for each episode if desired.

Why can't you purchase an audio book on the Itunes store from an Apple TV?

Apple seems to be moving everything they sell on Itunes to graphics, away from the traditional text based browse function they started with.
I don't think they've done the most effective job on that move on a PC/Mac, it's sometimes easier just to go through the Apple TV and buy from there and let it just sync and transfer to my Itunes library on my PC.
However, I've noticed that you can't purchase an audiobook from an Apple TV, though you can purchase everything else that can play on an Ipod from there.
Audiobooks just don't show up as an option on the Itunes store from an Apple TV, but they do play on your Apple TV if you purchase them from the Itunes store from the PC or Mac you sync or stream from.
Does anyone know if this is a licensing issue, or yet another oops/oversight on Apple's part? Doesn't seem to make sense, Apple has been pushing tighter and tighter integration between the Itunes store and Apple TV, and it's yet another lost revenue stream on Apple's part that I hope they fix.
If you can buy it from the store, you ought to be able to buy it using your apple TV. Period. Makes as much (non)sense as restricting what content you can purchase if you are buying it from an Iphone vs. a PC vs. a Mac. If you sell content on your store that plays on your devices, then sell it, regardless of which device (that you also make and sell) that your customers access your Itunes store from. It's why they make us sync everything back to Itunes on a computer in the first place.
And yes, while it may sound counter-intuitive to listen to an audio book from a device connected to a TV,
I listen to audiobooks from my Apple TV nightly in my bedroom to go to sleep by, streamed via airtunes to the Aux port on my clock radio by my bed, then turn the TV off and snooze. Works extremely well and has for years now. Beats headphones or futzing with external speakers on an Ipod or trudging upstairs to the room I have my PC in to stream an audiobook to airtunes, then back to bed. With Apple TV, it's pick, click, then turn off the tv and the lights. Sure would be nice to buy an audio book that way also.
Any thoughts on why they would restrict you from buying audiobooks from an Apple TV? To me, it's yet another lost revenue opportunity for impulse buys courtesy of Apple.

Go to the front page of the Store, and click Change Country. Make sure it is set to the country where you actually are.
Then you will be able to see everything that is for sale in your country, which, depending where you live, might or might not include music.

But the image is not showing in itunes?
I just added the image last week, and it is a 1400x1400 pixel jpg.

It can take quite some days for the image to appear. If you've got it correctly in the feed it will appear eventually, it's just a question of waiting.
