As all pre-requisite for XMII has addressed by Chris Johnstone and for learning purpose technically you can pick up xMII if you have knowledge of core Java and some database.
Java needed to create dashboard (HTML JavaScriptApplet) and database knowledge for query purpose (SQL, ORACLE).
At MES and plant side you need functional knowledge.

I use a particular document in word quite often to fill out forms for my job. However I would like something that allows me to open a new instance of the same document while closing the current AFTER I print it without any extra mouse clicks, or if after
I print the document the forms are cleared and I can start over.
P.S. I would take the time to learn how to do it myself but I currently reside in South Korea and work for the USAF so I don't have much time.

Yes, Mozilla is indeed doing very well but they're a bit worried about the IRS audit that is currently going on.
Now, if we take the figure from the 2008 cnet article that 80% of expenses are spent on Mozilla employees as a relatively stable benchmark for 2009, we see that employee salaries averaged out to around $200,000 dollars annually for each employee, which obviously isn't what each employee is actually getting paid, but what it does mean is that given typical corporate scaling of salaries, some folks in this non-profit are making lots and lots of money.
The individuals who should be the most upset about Mozilla's unwillingness to invest even a fraction of its profits into building a real and responsive user support system are the collective-community-driven-volunteers who commit their free time so Mozilla can continue to cash in big time at their expense. Hello, Just looking for some web developers/designer's to give some suggestions on window managers that may be suited to your profession more so than others, maybe highlight the pro's/con's if you could. ah sorry, my intention was never to start a silly flame war. I am going to spend some time trying out tiling WM's other than Xmonad, It's kind of annoying since I'm forced to use win7 at work, and the contrast between work->home is quite large.
If you like tiling, try the "plug.n" autohotkey script/app on your work windows box. Does a very good job - or at least as good as is possible.
There is a limitation if you need to use stuff like VMs. But this is getting a bit OT, so i'll leave it at that .

I was just sent a Droid Charge and has only had it for about a week and half now in replacement of the Thunderbolt which I had at least 5 replacements of due to problems. I'm very ****** right now because I was sent the Droid Charge where I had to order my own battery and charger. I pay insurance every month and my bill also and to have issues with these phone is really making me want to leave Verizon when I have been a loyal customer since they were Bell Atlantic mobile. and all I was sent was another phone with problems. With the charge I have been having issues of where I am talking to people and then the phone goes out where I can hear them talking, but they cant hear me and this happens on almost every call. I am also having issues of where I can dial a number and text and the screen will blank in and out. I really need some assistance on these issues. Very ****** Customer at the Moment................

I want you to love your device Wesmith353! I would also be frustrated if my device wasn't reliable! The performance you have described isn't typical for the amazing Droid Charge! I recommend running the device in safe mode for a full day to rule out third party app conflict for starters. Here's a helpful link for your reference.

I downloaded the accept all request for facebook but when I go to the game requests page there is no accept all button. What do I need to do to get this to work?

I have closed out of facebook and reentered but there is still no accept all button on game request page. I checked on add-on and it says it is enabled but is not there. I need to know what to do to get this to appear/work on facebook.

If you have firewall/anti-virus software running turn them off. With your iPad connected to your computer via USB and with iTunes open, once your iPad is recognized on the left side of the iTunes screen, look to the right and you should see a box that says Check For Software Update. Click on that and iTunes should start the process of updating your software. Please note that the process of updating to iOS 5 or higher is not a short process. It takes time, so make sure you have enough time and you can stay there with your iPad and your computer to guide the process.

3rd request for some wonderful persons help!

I'm trying to connect across a network with RMI and I get the error:
"Connection refused to host 138.79.115.36; nexted exception is: java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: connect."
138.79.115.36 is the machine my client is on
138.79.115.30 is the server machine
I have one jar file which I've unzipped on both machines. It contains the following folder structures
../kye/db/
../kye/clientGUI
../examples/classServer
the db folder has all the files for running the RMI server
the clientGUI has all the client GUI files.
the examples/classServer is the webserver that it is suggested to download in the RMI tutorial
I tried to follow the sun tutorial but I only have one jar file so it's a bit modified. And I know somethings are unecesarily duplicated. Maybe this is part of the problem. Not sure.
Everything is unzipped in d:\public (which is shared) on the server and I use the following commands to start everything running.
Start the webserver
d:\public>start java examples.classServer.ClassFileServer 2222 /public
Start the server
start java -Djava.rmi.server.codebase=http://138.79.115.30:2222/ kye.db.DataServerGUI
Then on the client machine
java kye.clientGUI.ApplicationRunner
When the client opens it asks for the servers ip address, I enter it and when connecting get the above error. I have a policy file which is specified in both the client and the server. It contains this:
grant
permission java.security.AllPermission;
permission java.net.SocketPermission
"*:1024-65535", "connect, resolve";
What do I have to change or fix to get this running?
I'm happy to send out copies of the .jar file to anyone who needs more information.

It does seem a strange message. But the ip addressses are definitely correct that I'm entering. I wondered why the client would say that the client refused connection.

Is there anything you can see that's wrong or in the wrong order? I start the registry from within the RemoteServer. I've commented out the webserver that I was trying to use to locate files. I'm not sure if that was working.
Any more ideas? I've tried it on different networks in the office, to make sure that none of our security systems were interfering and the same things occurred on all the different machines.

Book POV not showing all deminsions for some users

I have a book that is suppose to display Scenario, Year, Period & Currency when it is run. However, one user who runs this book only sees Scenario, Year & Period. Her user group is the same as many others within our company who do not have this problem. Does anyone know why this is happening?

The user only belongs to one group and other users within the group get the full POV selections. Also, we don't have any nested security groups.
This issue has also presented itself in showing the incorrect POV to some users. I've discovered that this is related to the User's POV in User Preferences though I do not know how to fix it.
If you go into File>Preferences and select Financial Reporting on the left you should see a button that says "Setup Members". Once inside, Person A sees Scenario, Year, Period, View, Entity, Value, Account, ICP, C1, C2, C3, C4, this is correct. However, Person B sees Scenario, Year, Period, View, Entity, Value, Account, ICP, C4, C1, C2, C3. When this occurs, and these two run the same book, Person A would see the Proper selections for POV. However, person B would see the incorrect custom dimensions. For example, If C1 should be displayed Person B would see C4, If C2 should be displayed Person B would see C1, etc...
Correct Incorrect
C1 = C4
C2 = C1
C3 = C2
C4 = C3

A weird request for some help in mainboard OS X

I was thinking about getting MSI P35 NEO but before buying it need find some users that have some experience with installing OS X (osx86). And maybe a better MSI board would be recommended.
Want to know if this board and chip set is fairly compatible for for OS X install. I've used the 975x PPUE and it seems ok with a few minor issues. But need something better.

Hey all, new here, some bootup issues.

I am running Windows 7 with 2 hard drives, one is just an extra one that I use to store pictures on, and one is my main. Neither are SSD. I installed Ubuntu alongside my 7, then later I deleted the partition with Ubuntu on it and want to just use Windows 7 again. I went through with my install disc and repaired my bootloader, and it works, but now it is hanging on 99 for about 3 or 4 minutes before it finally goes on through to A2 where it boots no problem at all. I have not been able to get into the BIOS. How can I circumvent this 99 and get it to boot in about 10 seconds again instead of 10 minutes? Thanks in advance.

That is more or less standard DDR2-800 memory which should not make any problems. In terms of overclocking it, you have to see what can be achieved. Memory OC Results usually vary from system to system.

Looking for some RAW + JPEG Workflow suggestions

I'm looking for some suggestions on how best to organize my workflow now that I've started shooting with RAW +JPEG. I previously shot only in RAW, but the time spent in post-production was killing me. I've realized that for 95% of my shots that already have the correct exposure, white balance, etc, a JPEG photo is really all I need and saves me a ton of time. I've become convinced that editing every single photo from a shoot in RAW is overkill. I want to have the RAW versions, however, to rescue that occasional great shot where I unfortunately miffed the settings.
Through reading other posts here and experimenting, I've found that Aperture basically defulats to showing me only the imported RAW photos and that I need to click "New Version from Master JPEG" to see the JPEG version. This seems counterintuitive to the workflow I'd like to establish though. (i.e. I'm thinking it would be nice to see only the JPEG versions, and then only bring up the RAW version when the photo needs some serious correction).
I suppose I could highlight the entire batch of imported photos and select "New Version from Master JPEG" and then sort through each RAW/JPEG stack, but I'm still hoping there's a less cumbersome way. Anyone out there have any good workflow suggestions for this issue? I'm curious how other people out there deal with this issue in their workflow.

Try this - I do this as a matter of course:
-select all of the photos after importing them into a project
-create a new album from selection/call it JPG
-with all of the images still selected create new version from master JPEG. all of these should now be the album pick
-close all stacks, the JPEG will be the one showing up on top for that album.

Request for advice: TM/TC fails on one Macbook Pro, but not the other?

Dear All- looking for some advice.
Background: I installed a 1TB TC about 3 months ago to improve the wireless connectivity around the home/small business and to act as 1 stop backup- primarily for 2 main Macbook Pro’s. Everything seems to work fine, with the exception that the time machine will only successfully back up one Macbook Pro (my wife's) and not the other (mine). In fact I have NEVER been able to get a full successful backup for my machine since I bought my TC.
Scenario: My wireless router from my TC services 2 Macbook Pro’s, 1 iMac, iPhone, Sony PSP, Sony PS3 etc. All successfully and at a good speed. The TC also runs time machine for backups on the 2 Macbook Pros. One MBPro (my wife’s), has worked like a charm and flawless (pre Oct 2008 model 4.1, 2.5Ghz Intel core 2 Duo, 4GB (667MHz)DDR2 SDRAM, OSX 10.5.8, 250GB HD, 512MB video). TM Backup over wireless to my TC works great. While the other (mine) I have NEVER been able to get a successful backup once (MBPro post Nov 2008 model 5.1, 2.8GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4GB (1067MHz) DDR3 RAM, OSX 10.5.8, 300GB HD, 768MB Video).
Problem: I have tried a number different combinations of backup without success. I have diligently read numerous posts before coming here. My attempts include, preferences resets, full disk erases (re-named the disk several times), wireless connectivity, hardwired connectivity (i.e no other devices connected), some software running/ no software running, in sleep mode/without sleep mode, all at once backup or intermittent backups.
All provide me with the same message that it is not able to complete a full backup due to a writing error ‘Backup Failed’. At this stage I would not be convinced that the TC is actually working properly, with the exception that it works flawlessly with my wife’s Macbook Pro (yes every time I erase the drive) and that the wireless connectivity is great. My account preferences and setup/access for the TC/TM are identical to the machine that works. The volume I am trying to backup on my machine is ~258GB, while my wife’s machine that works is only around 78GB. I thought this may still be the source of the failure, but cannot see a work around or why.
Considering I bought the TC to allow a solid reliable backup, I am still unhappy and would like to continue to work for a resolve. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Apologies if you have already tried this, but I couldn't find it in your detailed list of prior actions.
Note the exact name of your hard drive on your computer. If you haven't changed this, it will be named Macintosh HD
Open Hard Drive > Applications > Utilities > Disk Utility
Click on the icon on the left side of the window that has the exact same name as your hard drive on the desktop
Click Repair Disk Permissions
It will probably take several hours to do this, so allow plenty of time.
Once the process is complete, see if you can backup now.

Pardon me if I sound rude by suggesting that before you launch into an expensive printing job (which could result in disastrous consequences if you don't do it right) that you actually learn how to use the program first. You may also want to learn something about the offset printing process and how to prepare print jobs.
Even many Illustrator novices know that there is no such thing as a background in Illustrator, in the sense that there is in Photoshop. You will need to PLACE your Photoshop background as a high resolution CMYK tiff in the provided template. That's the answer to your second question. I don't really understand your first question. Maybe someone else will. Are you simply asking, "where do I begin?" If so, then you REALLY REALLY need to read a book on how to use Illustrator. The Adobe Illustrator Classroom in a Book might be the place to start.
