Hia there!
I was browsing the PDF files in my tunes liberary the other day, and it struck me! Whynot coverart in info? is there a script for this somewhere, and if not would someone invent it please ! We can use grab to take a pict of PDF cover
and it would be so much easier to scroll archive and fun to =)

Is my idea so amasing that nobody gets it??? Pity I am a newbie to IT world, then I could make it my self! Or rektify some of my earlyer post , I ment the COVERFLOW its beutiful. And another tip, you can add PDFs to iTunes just add a new folder and name it PDF then drag PDF to new folder and presto you get blanked out cflow but the name of pdf underneath WERY BORING....
Funny isn´t it you realy only need iTunes for everything...Exept iPhoto and a simular iMovie app ( not the ed app) but for storing Q-times and sutch.

Try a reset. That is holding the sleep/wake and home button together until you see the Apple logo and release. That will reset the iPhone, but will not affect your data.

Another New IPod Touch Owner with Wi-fi Problems

Another New IPod Touch Owner with Wi-fi Problems.
I have been working at this for about 4 hours now with no success and I am getting pretty frustrated, so if it show up in my typing please ignore it. I just don't understand why these multi-million dollar companies can't write a manual or put up a web site that can actually help someone with a problem.
Ok, venting aside.
I am running a gateway computer.
Operating System = XP
Router = Linksys WRT54G
I have two other computers that are working fine with the existing wireless net work and have been for some time.
I'm pretty good with my computer but haven't touched my router since initial set-up and all that was done was a basic set up.
My I-pod is searching for a network and I'm three feet away from it but it doesn't find it.
I printed out my wireless setting. I presume SSID name equals the name box on the ipod-touch
Security = WEP
What seems to be kicking my A$$ is the password. The route setting have never been changed so I would pesume the password should be the default "admin" which I put in (JOIN) and get the "Could not find network" screen
So, I have perused this message board trying to discover and answer to mine, and and apparently many others question with no definitive results.
So I guess what I and everybody else needs is a step by step how to guide on how to discover the info needed and enter in what we need to make this work.
Thanks in advance to anybody that can actually help with this issue. A step by step do this would be nice.

Thank you Terpfen for replying, and please excuse my ill temper earlier. I've calmed down some now.
Step: 1 followed step one previously, Main screen, settings, Wi-Fi. Also set power down to 5 min to give I-Pod plenty of time to find network.
Wi-Fi Network Screen.

Choose a Network (searching indicator) symbol spinning.
Other ...
Ask to Join Networks ON
At this point the I-pod does not find any networks available. The indicator just spins but never returns any results. I am 3 feet for my WRT54G router.
Hence the easy connect isn't connecting.
The next step. is to manually set-up the connection.
Main screen, setting, Wi-Fi, Other.
press "Other" which brings up two fields

First Question? Which Name are they looking for. when I went to my router 192.168.1.1 It has the name linksys. However, when I go to my Wireless Network setting it has the name * ???? * which is different than Linksys router.
Now, since one of the goals here is file sharing I presume I should be using the Wireless Network settings name. (which I have tried.)
Next is security, Wireless Network setting indicate setting for WEP Once this is selected you then back-up to the "Enter Network Setting Screen" and you now have a password line added.
Now I have never set a password for the router so the password for the router is the default Password "admin" And I don't recall ever setting a password for my network setting. But, I only use about three different passwords and a cycled through them still with no success.
So, I need some expert advise on how and where to find the info to input into the required field to work or what I need to reset in my router to make this work.

Two new IDE-Controllers after BIOS update, but not installable

Hi there,
i recently updated my bios to the latest version and now the following strange thing happens:
when i boot my machine (875P NEO, P4 2.8 GHz, 1 GB RAM, 2 Otical drives at IDE0, 2 S-ATA drives at the S-ATA-controller, WIN XP SP), there are two new IDE (primary and secondary) Chanels to be found by the system.
Windows seems to act normal as it states them "new device found" (all that in german as i live here and tries to install the proper drivers, i think.
but then the new-devices-assistant pops up and tells me, that they cannot be installed because there are no drivers for my system.
i even used the actual inf-drivers from the msi-site.
that will happen at every start. in the hardware-manager there are both ide-devices marked as non-functional with a yellow sign in front of them with a exclamation mark in it.
oh, and my office installation wants the same .cab-file from the installation-cd everytime i boot the system.
the bios was the only thing changed.
does anyone have an idea whatr to do?

yeah, seems like the same symptoms.
my version was 3.6 from october 2004. Version 3.5 from september works fine except for the cpu temperature beeing displayed too high in bios...
rollback to 2.5 did not work, still the same though i did not do the thing with the cmos-reset via jumper. will try this today...

How to copy exitsitng extracter into another new extracter?

Please some one can tel me how to copy the existing extracter into another new extracter.
I have requirment as below
Currect me if i am wrong ,need to enhance the existing extracter and add some new fields,and need to include some masterdata filds also to it.
For master data i am going to do write routines at Transfermation so that no need to include in my exter for those filds to extracter.
Please some one guide me in this scenario.

Hi,
you do not have to copy the extractor, you can enhance it with fields and fill them via enhancement coding --> rsa6.
If you want to copy it, you need to check what kind of extractor you have. Is it a function module or just a table extractor.
for fm: copy the function module via se37 and copy the extract structure via se11. Add your enhancements in the copied structures and coding. Create a new datasource with rso2.
for table extractor: create a view adding the additionally needed fields. create a new ds with rso2. Surely you need to add some coding in the relevant enhancement.

Forgot to add that it would be an adjustment layer with some kind of mask on it already. The mask is uncentered when copy and pasted which throws it off.
I guess the same question would go towards doing the same for an object. How to copy and paste it over to a new doc, keeping its position within the document? is this possible?

1. There is no method/concept of Copying, w.r.t Personnel number.
2. A new pernr,
    has to be hired in the system FIRST,
    via pa30/pa40 (hiring action),
3. ONLY THEN,
4. A new pernr is created in the sytem,
5. ONLY AFTER THAT,
   we can put other data realted to pernr in the system using pa30 or anything else.

No go to dictionary objects --> copy --> give new Ztable in to table text.

It's easy to add extra tabs to your set of home pages. You can use the Options dialog to make sure there is only one. These articles point the way:

Because the space is short, you may want to select the whole home page URL (Ctrl+A) and paste it into a document or into a larger textbox like the one I'm typing in now. You're looking for a vertical bar (|) that is followed by a second URL.

Quartz Composer - Effects of Other Cards? Any New Ideas?

I have read the discussions here about Quartz Composer, and noticed a mix of difficulties:
1 hardware restrictions (G4 or video card)
2 can't get preview (white screen), but can get render
3 can get preview, but can't get render (white screen)
4 can't get either preview or render
5 get greyed or coloured results in renders
I'm suffering 4 - no preview or render - but not 1 - I have a G5 2G Dual Processor, with an ATI Radeon Pro 9600. (I see ripples when widgets launch.)
In this context, are there any new ideas?
One observation: to find out the name of my video card, I ran system profiler, to be reminded that I have:
- an old ATI card driving a second monitor in a PCI slot
- an Alchemy TV card also in a PCI slot
I know it's tempting to blame the cards for the iMovie difficulty, especially since we are talking about a video problem, and both are video cards, so I want to ask:
- are there any people with these kinds of cards having no problem at all?
- are there any people with similar cards experiencing similar problems?

Have you tried pulling out [Alchemy TV and second monitor] cards, just to rule
them out as a source of the problem?
No... my thinking is that I'm an amateur iMovie user, and in the end I would feel more comfortable with my second montor and (very occasionally used!) TV than with a fully working iMovie. Hence my questions were directed at finding out whether others had:
- these problems without cards being fitted
- no problems despite cards being fitted

Another new version of iTunes

Another new version of iTunes...seems there's a new version of patch at least once a month.
Personally I'd like to see a .txt file with each new version or patch that shows what add on's and/or fixes are in each patch.
I don't think that's too much to ask.
Just my .02 cents.

The best way to submit comments to Apple is through the iTunes feedback page. Though the Discussions Hosts try to scan the forums, there are too many posts for them to easily spot constructive criticism and forward it on.
