  • Time-/Deadline for Lotus Notes Support?

    Hi @ all
In our Company we are using Lotus Notes 6.55 and BlackBerry Devices.
Today, the Blackberry-Desktop Software supports synchronisation to Notes 6.5
    It works very well!
    The usability is great.
In next time we want to buy again BB-Devices (new ones).
Is there any Information about like a timeline for Support Lotus Notes 6.5?
btw.. i mean only support by Using BB-Desktop!
Other Manufacturer (eg. Nokia) stopped their support for USB-Sync (Nokia Suite) to Lotus Notes 6.x
Blackberry is one of the last or even the last Manufacturer with Support to Lotus Notes 6.x
Will Blackberry continue support synchronisation with Notes 6.x in next Models via BB-Desktop?
    hope for information ;-)
    Thanks Mathias

    Latest downloadable Version: v7.0.0 B60
We are using this Version an it supports Lotus Notes 6.55
    My Question was:
Are there any Informations about ..like a Roadplan, Deadline etc...
Often, Manufacturer publicate Informations like "we stop support for xy at....."
I can´t find anything... thats the reason, i ask here
What´s about Lotus Notes Syncronisation (6.5) in future Blackberry Desktop Software (USB-Sync!).?

  • Trouble accessing Lotus Notes DB Via ODBC NotesSQL 8 driver.

    Hello,
I am using Crystal Reports version XI and am trying to access lotus notes database via an ODBC connection. My reports have been running sucessfully but we recently upgraded to Lotus Notes 8.  I was receiving error messages stating that the ODBC driver was not compatible so I upgraded to Lotus Notes 8 SQL driver.  Now I am receiving the following errors.
    Crystal Reports
Database Connector Error: 'IM005:[Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Driver's SQLAllocHandle on SQL_HANDLE_DBC failed'
    Crystal Reports
    Logon failed.
Details: 01000:[Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] The driver doesn't support the version of ODBC behavior that the application requested (see SQLSetEnvAttr).
I am now using NotesSQL 8 and Lotus Notes 8, is there something that I need for crystal to recognize them.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks, Stacy

    Hi Stacy,
I would appear Lotus changed the way their ODBC driver works from version 6. According to our [platforms |https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/e09198a1-911e-2b10-179f-ce8eed51aed0] for CR XI we only support Lotus Notes 6.
We can't fix this now but you may want to ask Lotus if they know of any work arounds or updates to make it backward compatable.
You may want to try donwloading CR XI R2 SP4 and use your XI keycode to see if that works.
    Thank you

  • Sync with Act 2006 (version 8.0) and IBM Lotus Not...

First, let me thank you in advance for your help.
I'm looking into purchasing an E71.  This will be my first smartphone.  I need it to do the following:
    1) Sync my E71 with Lotus Notes (version 7.0) to receive my work e-mail.  Our tech department only supports BlackBerry's...should I be able to figure this out?  Will everything sync wirelessly?
    2) Sync my E71 to receive my contacts from Act 2006 (version 8.0).  Does Nokia's PC Suite allow sycnronization from Act to the E71?  Will it continuously update wirelessly?
    3) Sync my E71 to receive my calendar from Act 2006 (version 8.0).  This is the most critical of my tasks...I need a mobile calendar and I'm not willing to switch from Act.  How do I get my calendar from Act 8.0 to my E71?
    Thanks!

PC Suite already supports Lotus Notes.
However IBM/Lotus has announced an S60 client (Lotus Notes Traveler) with Nokia (but it is IBM/Lotus that has written that application:

  • Employer dropping Goodlink for Lotus Notes email/calendar to be available on my Sprint Treo755p What are my options?

My company now only supports Blackberry devices for Lotus Notes corporate email and calendar.  I have seen mention of Blackberry Connect to enable a Treo to get mail and calendar info from a Blackberry mail server but have not been able to find anything about it being available for my 755p.  Could I set up my work PC to just do a HOTSYNC from Lotus Notes?  HELP!!
Post relates to: Treo 755p (Sprint)

Hello pingmh and welcome to the Palm forums.
The BlackBerry Connect software you mentioned was only available for the Treo 650 or 680, if I recall correctly.  Regardless of what model, the software has been discontinued by Palm.
I am not aware of any current software that will allow a Palm OS device, such as a Treo 755p, to sync with a Lotus Notes server.

  • Intergate Lotus Notes with SAP

    Dear All,
I had do mail configuration in SAP and its working.
But i want to import all my Lotus Notes contact in SAP. is it possible? How?
OR can I Intergate Lotus  mailing system with SAP?
    Regards,
    Nisit

    Nisith,
The approaches that are currently available to integrate SAP R/3 and Lotus Notes are:
    Lotus Connectors:
Lotus Connectors are system files that are developed using common object model interface, known as Lotus Connector API. They provide optimized access to the enterprise data from Domino. These connectors are installed on the Web Application Server platform of SAP and are used to connect to and to transfer data from the enterprise servers and other enterprise platforms. This Lotus Connector, when used with enterprise integration tools, facilitates to integrate SAP application logic with Domino applications. The Connector was developed using SAP's Remote Function Call Software Development Kit (RFCSDK) and enables execution of any SAP Remote Function Call (RFC) that is remotely callable, all BAPIs and Transactions using Batch Data Input. Using the Lotus Connector for SAP technology ensures that data transfers and queries are processed through the SAP application layer, preserving the business logic and data validations contained in SAP Remote Function Call and transaction interfaces, which comprised of SAP processes. Therefore, reading and writing SAP data is always performed through the application layer and not by directly accessing back-end database tables and by using Lotus Connectors all the business rules provided by RFCu2019s and SAP Transactions are maintained.
Domino Mail Transfer Agent for R/3:
A server-based add-ins, Domino MTA is used in bi-directional message transfer amid SAP R/3 and Notes, which leads to the transformation of Dominou2019s inbox into a universal inbox for both Domino and SAP. This tool is used to send messages to and from SAP R/3 to notes. It enables the users to send or receive mails, faxes and also disseminate the data from R/3 system to the notes mailbox. Hence, the users are required to check a common interface for reading the messages from both SAP R/3 and Lotus Notes. The Mail transfer Agent along with providing full attachment support provides users with the rich text support, facilitating R/3 mail users using any other application like Microsoft word as their e-mail editors. In addition, R/3 MTA provides all the transactional support that is required by the users. The users to make sure that the data being transferred from R/3 is properly routed to Domino can also use this support. MTA even enables the users to keep a track of all the messages that are sent or received from R/3 by tracking them in a Notes log file. As mentioned above, the Domino MTA uses add-ins. These add-ins are object client to send mail from Domino to R/3 and object server to receive mail from R/3.
    Lotus Enterprise Integrators (LEI):
This tool is used to transfer the data both ways between SAP R/3 and Domino applications. LEI are the quickest way to ensure transfer of data and that too without following the tedious task of writing long lines of codes. Also, it facilitates this transfer by taking one end as a source and the other as a target. In this, the data transfer of each type utilizes a different connector such as Oracle connector and Notes connector. These connectors are used in both LEI and Domino Enterprise Connectivity Services (DECS) to ensure bi-directional access of notes and web applications of R/3 data from a Domino server.
    Hope this helps you.

  • Lotus Notes Application in Visual Studio

    Hi All,
My company currently has a old VB application running in lotus notes. This imports a XML file, calls a stored procedure on a SQL DB tranforms the file, calls another stored procedure, then loads the file data into the SQL DB.
We are now looking at migrating it to a modern platform. I was initially thinking of creating a new visual studio 2008 or 2010 SSIS solution. But I have found the rules of the transforming have not been documented and so are buried in the Lotus
Script\VB code & modules. So unless the rules can be documented into logic loops so I can't apply them to the XML nodes. I have also found Artin Soft
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/ff793478 free upgrade tool but this is for VB6.
    So I have two questions.
    1. Is there an lotus notes reference in Visual Studio 2010 for lotus notes classes such as NotesSession, NotesDatabase, NotesDocument? So the VB package could be opended and understood by visual studio.
    2. Can anyone suggest another migration path from lotus script to VB.net?
    Thanks

    Hi,
    Welcome to MSDN forum.
Your issue is out of support range of VS General Question forum which mainly discusses
the usage of Visual Studio IDE such as WPF & SL designer, Visual Studio Guidance Automation Toolkit, Developer Documentation and Help System
    and Visual Studio Editor, moreover
Lotus notes is third-party product,we don't support it.
Visual Studio itself does not support Lotus Notes script.
Visual Studio official does not provide some references for Lotus Notes. I can’t ensure whether you said Lotus Notes is identical to IBM Lotus Domino, based on
this document, IBM provides some supports for using Lotus Domino in Microsoft .Net App. So I suggest you to consult on Lotus Notes to check whether they provide some supports for migrating
Lotus Notes script to VS2010 Visual Basic .Net, I think that they can provide you better answer.

  • PC Sync problem N70 Lotus Notes 7

    Hi to all,
I cannot sync my N70 and Lotus Notes 7. I start sync and it connect but the window of PC Sync disappear and on the phone is shown Synchronising but after a while I get a message that it is timed out.

    Hi Darryl,
I think that your only option here is to use PC Suite 6.80.22 which does support Lotus Notes 7 and connect your phone using a Bluetooth connection which is supported by this version of PC Suite.
It's a very old phone so I doubt later versions of PC Suite are going to provide support for the DLR-3P cable if the current versions don't support it anymore.
PC Suite 6.80.22 should at least allow you to backup and synchronise your phone if you use the Bluetooth connection.

  • Integration of SAP with Lotus Notes

    Hi Friends:
How are you all doing? I have a query for you all.
    <b><u>Background:</u></b>
I have a very customer who is currently running on SAP 4.7 Enterprise Edition Version 2. They have Lotus Notes Verison 6.5 Version in place.
    <u><b>Business Case:</b></u>
When an employee applies for a leave, his manager should get this notification in to his LOTUS NOTES Inbox.
Right now employee's manager has to logon in SAP to check the same. So the basic requirement is to integrate SAP inbox with the LOTUS NOTES Inbox so that person can get notification of SAP workitem (leave request) in Lotus notes without having to logon to SAP.
    <b><u>Challenges:</u></b>
    1) Customer does not want to upgrade to NetWeaver hence XI will be a expensive solution to accompilish the task.
    2) There are third party adapters engines available through which integration can be done at the lowest possible efforts but we are not considering this option.
    3) If we upgrade Lotus notes to the version such 7.0, plug-in is inbuilt but we are also not considering this particular option.
<b><i>NOTE:</i></b> We are looking at the cheapest possible option.
    <u><b>Request for:</b></u>
Please let me know can it be done using ABAP language. If yes, please send me the link so that i could refer to the alternative.
Early response will be highly appreciated.
    <b><i>With Best Regards
    Amit Bansal.</i></b>

    Hi Amit,
Can u please tel me in detail, for this sap workflow - lotusnotes integration because we have same requrement at one of my client side.
and its for leave request, trip request and travel request.
they are using ITS to fill the request.they also dnt want to execute the workflow from SAP inbox.they want a link in their lotus notes mail, on clicking there a ITS screen will come from where they can approve or reject the request.
Please reply ASAP as we have very less time to do that.
    Regards

  • ESSO compatibilty with lotus notes

    Hi Team,
Does ESSO support Lotus notes ( our client version ranges from 6.0 to 8.0). Thanks.
    Praveen

I've been using CompanionLink for about a year now and it works well.
It syncs your iPhone with Outlook (via iTunes), then syncs Outlook with Lotus Notes, then syncs the iPhone with Outlook (via iTunes) again. This way any changes made on the phone or in Notes get synced both directions.
Sounds confusing, but it works good.
It only syncs your Notes calendar and your contacts from your Notes name and address book; no email sync.
If you can live without syncing email, I recommend this solution.

  • Nokia N8 - Synch of Lotus Notes Calender entries

One of the primary reasons I dumped my iPhone and switched to the Nokia N8 is because I believed Nokia phones supported Lotus notes synchronization. I was shocked to find that OVISuite hasn't this capability. I don't intend to use the Lotus Traveller because our company allows the Traveller only on Blackberrys. I desperately need the capability to synch my calender even if I do not have the possibility to synch mail. Has anybody figued a way out of this? Desparate!
There is a running post under the "OVI Suite" topic about this problem. Since nobody seems to have an answer there, I am posting also under the Nseries topic.

I've been having the same issues, new Nokia n8, cant sync anything to Lotus Notes 8.5.2 using OVO suite 2.x and cant sync to PC Suite either (un-supported device).
(although i was able to configure pop for Notes mail, but i needed full pim, contacts, calendar etc.)
I started looking at Lotus Notes Traveler 8.5.2 , and was disapointed that the Nokia N8 wasn't listed as a supported device, buy I tried it anyway (easy for my as i manage my own domino environment) and the results are in...
Using an Over the Air The Connection (OTA) , Domino recongised my Nokia N8 as a S60 device, allowed me to download the installer and configure. I can confirm that Traveler definatley works on the Nokia N8, and everything seems fine.
Notes Traveler is free to IBM customers who have a current Domino server license, and the software can be downloaded from the IBM passport advantage site.
If you need any help or further information , let me know.
    Cheers, Alan

  • Ovi suite can't sync with Lotus Notes, as PC Suite...

I have read somewhere that at the end, OVI suite will replace PC Suite.
I have uinstalleed  PC suite and put OVI Suite and I cannot see a way to sync with my mail application (Lotus Notes 8.x)?
This was possible with PC Suite. Is this possible with OVI Suite, or do I need to keep both (OVI suite and PC Suite) installed ?
KIn that Case, PC Suite should continue its life supporting Lotus Notes mail ... ?
    Thank you !

I would like to ask NOKIA if there will be any advance in support of Lotus Notes synchronization with Nokia OVI ?
Normally new version means better functionality not less.
For lot of users is enough to synchronize calendar one a day without Internet connection, locally using USB or Bluetooth.
Could NOKIA inform their users ( I support about 100) that NOKIA will not support it?
Should we find out another brand of mobiles to have functionality we need and we were used to have?
Thank you very much for your info
