This is call iPhone Connect , this app will allow you to manage and launch web base apps, get updated news via RSS, connect to other iPhone, share information and communicate among iPhones. I'm still working on this, and there are still a lots more to go. This is the beta release, and it's totally free. You need to register to use it though, registration takes only under a minute, and don't require much information.

PearPC is a Mac emulator. It creates a virtual Mac on the Windows box, similar to (but the opposite of) Microsoft's Virtual PC for Mac.
I'd guess it's slow and unreliable, but certainly possible.

Yeah, I know, but allowing an application to create a profile or override the no update setting is also a security problem. After all using the same method an application could do . . . well, whatever it would like to do, right?!
As for the suggest solution, I tried the plugin but it just isn't there, IMHO. I even contributed $$$ to help him continue his work so it might some day be there.
IMHO, it shouldn't be hard to have the old interface. It should be as easy as having an option in the Tools -> Options dialog where the person could specify the interface (s)he wants to use. AFTER ALL there will be even more interface changes over the years and each one will have people who like and dislike them. Thus people should be able to use the interface they like.
Another download to a plugin doing this work instead of Firefox, itself ....
A) The plugin author might not be able to keep up with new releases and getting it "certified."
B) A future version of Firefox might break the plugin
C) Having the interface choice and support in Firefox means the Firefox testing plan would include the interface changer for each update.
(Also if the code has to support multiple interfaces, the programmers might think more than "hey that's a cool idea," as they'll have to support it and write code to have it work with and not break past interfaces.
Where can I go to propose and promote that idea?!

I like them. I'm not a metal guy (sorry if I sound like I'm labeling your music), but its good thinking mans metal. It's all harmonically and rhythmically interested. It's well recorded. The way the guitars are layered and orchestrated is great. Other more experienced users may have suggestions regarding mixing and mastering. But what's important are the songs are strong. Does the recording sound like your band would sound live? I'd guess it probably does. In which case, I think your recordings are a success. I'd put them on my IPod.

Has anyone checked out the latest iTunes update where you are supposed to be able to view your wish list from your music library?

I updated my iMac yesterday to check out this new feature, but I can't seem to figure out how it works. Can anyone tell me how to view my wishlist from my music library. I restarted my computer, but that didn't work either. I'm obviously missing something. Otherwise, accessing my wishlist just works like it always did. I would appreciate some input on this.

When we check out a record exclusively or non-exclusively why is the 'Modify Join Permissions' option active(not disabled).According to my understanding,if we make check-out non-exclusive, without modifying join permission,all the other users must be able to 'Join checkout'.If it is exclusive we have to assign user and role who can Join Checkout it.Then why is the 'Modify Join Permission' option coming for non-exclusive checkout also.Apart from my understanding is there any other difference between the two.Please help me in clarifying this.

Hi,
(1) Exclusive, which grants join permissions to no other roles or users (by default, no other users can join the checkout); and
(2) Nonexclusive, which grants join permissions to the Everyone role (by default, all users can join the checkout).
Instead of checking in the duplicate record, the owner can use the Roll Backcommand to delete the duplicate and abandon changes.
You can use the All Versions command to display both versions (originals and duplicates) of all checked out records. This is the only way for other users to join the check out of new records.
You can use role-based privileges to decide whether owners and/or non-owners are permitted to check in, roll back, or modify join permissions of checked out records.

RawShooter lovers check out Phase One's CaptureOne beta 4

I'm not sure whether Adobe is secure enough to let this message appear. Pixmantec let us compare RawShooter with other programs on their forum site.
If this message does survive, I'd suggest that RawShooter lovers check out the new Phase One CaptureOne 4 beta. The GUI and the workflow resemble what many of us cherished in RS. While I own C1 version 3.x, the new beta is very different.

Lightroom provides a set of well chosen functions in its developer module, foremost the speckles removal, lens correction, so why someone would be paying so much more for a tool not providing these at all?
I think and aside of owners of MF digital backs and commercial photographers, who would be profiting from camera color profiles for uncompromising color fidelity, Capture One V4 will not find any wider user base... Not anymore.
With every new release Lightroom resolves another portion of its infancy issues. Numerous books and web zines teach how to use it, its open plugin and preset interface will provide over time wide assortment of 3rd party add'ons. Regardless the start issues, every other raw converter will have now difficult time to challenge Lightroom.

Kernal Panics.... hardware tests check out OK

This has been an on again off again problem with my early 2008 24" iMac. Several times now I've had to reinstall the OS. It came with Leopard and I tried installing SL, but gave up about a year ago as not matter what I (or the Apple Genius's [yeah, right]) tried, we could not get SL to install. They even replaced the harddrive, logic board and several other internal components.
Now, yesterday I installed Lion to an external hard drive and then migrated everything from my MacBook (which is running Lion) to the iMac. It took approximately 8 hourst to erase the hard drive, install Lion and then Migrate. I then left my iMac on overnight... no problem. Now, today, I started working (nothing that should consume major resources... just checking eMail, checking out the new features in Lion, etc.) and suddenly, the Kernal panics have started again.
I previously had VMware installed on this iMac, but it should be gone (right?) now that I've zero'd out the HD and installed Lion.
The following is the report that was submitted to Apple after I reboot the computer. Does anybody see anything in this 'report' that could provide some insight into what might be going on? I'm going to try and delete some 3rd party software and see if that helps, but the MacBook has all the same programs and has no issues....

I should clarify... I installed Lion to the EXHD and then did a recovery onto my iMac then migrated. I did so AFTER zero'ing out the HD and setting up a single GUID partition.

I recommend to get Virus TI Snow because you can program change on the unit and also is a great audio interface.

Please answer as many of the following questions as you can. You may already have answered some of them.
1. Have you restarted your router and broadband modem since you first noticed the problem? If the answer is no, do that now and see whether there's any change.
2. Are any other web browsers installed, and are they the same?
3. What about other Internet applications, such as iTunes and the App Store?
4. Are there any other devices on the same network that can browse the Web, and are they affected?
5. If you can test Safari on another network, is it the same there?
6. If you connect to your router with Wi-Fi and you can also connect with Ethernet, do that and turn off Wi-Fi. Any difference?

The iphone 5 can only be located if connected to a data or mobile network. If in Airplane mode or switched off, it can't be found.

Hey guys apple need to sort this volume problem out soon like there is guys who have just bought new phones and it is happening to there's.i went to an apple shop for them to tell me I had to pay £150 to get it replaced I don't want a replacement so clearly they know what the problem is apple need to review this site and act fast before they loose alot of customers.

If you just purchased your iPhone, it will still be under warranty and Apple will replace it at no charge assuming that there hasn't been any damage due to abuse. So anyone with a new iPhone will be taken care of. If your iPhone is out of warranty and it has a hardware problem, then you have to pay the replacement charge regardless of what the problem is. Apple does not repair individual iPhones, they replace them. If you want the iPhone repared rather than replaced, you'll need to send the iPhone to an independent repair shop.
Since you don't say what "volume problem" you're referring to, though, we can't say whether or not this is indeed a hardware problem. Perhaps if you'll detail the problem and what steps you've taken to try and correct it, someone can offer advice.
