Hey guys check this out!!

I though that Tiger was only able to run in apples pcs I guess not....this is crazy.
Check this out http://os-emulation.net/pearpc/web/tiger.html I have never seen this before Have you guys?

PearPC is a Mac emulator. It creates a virtual Mac on the Windows box, similar to (but the opposite of) Microsoft's Virtual PC for Mac.
I'd guess it's slow and unreliable, but certainly possible.

  • GUYS CHECK THIS OUT!!!

Whomever of you that are being troubled with the malfunctioned USB problem....I HAVE A SOLUTION!!!!
I called Apple and they repaired mine for free, in get this, 1 WEEK! All I did was tell the guy on the phone that we have been plagued with this problem and the general consenseus is that itunes 7.02 is the culprit.
So please guys, call up Apple. My ipod arrived there last friday, it was shipped enroute to my house last night, and this gave me a BRAND NEW ipod!
THIS IS NOT A JOKE! JUST TRYING TO HELP THE PEOPLE WHO TRIED TO HELP ME AND EVERYONE ELSE!!!!

nonamemark...I'm unsure if it works, it was shipped to my house, but right this second i am not home and my mom (im only 19) signed for it. I will know as soon as tomorrow.
AS for the compassion with Apple I am sorry to hear they are like that, I didn't have too much trouble with my rep, but he did sound kind of scared while talking to me.
Yes, I was in the warranty, I had 11 days left. however, they tried to say I was the problem, not itunes. so i flipped out! I told them I ejected by accident and as soon as I plugged it back in it went haywire.
my best advice is to give them **** for it and try to get it through to them that a $300+ piece of equipment shouldnt just "malfunction".
I'll post my success with the new one ASAP. until then my friends.
    good luck.

After renaming my MAC hard drive, Acrobat, Illustrator and Bridge fail to launch. Acrobat returns the error message "An internal error occurred". I've checked this out and it seems related to user permissions. The version is Acrobat X. My machine has multiple user accounts. Any help would be appreciated. I renamed the drive to its original name but to no effect. RR

    I resolved the issue.
The problem is indeed a permissions issue with the Adobe Application Support folder.
First, in MAC OS Lion the ~/Library/ folder is hidden by default. You must unhide it in order to proceed. (if it is already visible in your ~/User/ folder, proceed to Step 4.)
    Next launch the Terminal application.
At the command line, paste the following command line: chflags nohidden ~/Library/
    Go to /Users/youruserid/Library/Application Support/Adobe
Get info on the ~/Adobe folder and reset your permissions to read/write and apply to all enclosed folders
    Problem solved. RR

I am getting pop ups on safari and firefox lately and am worried I may have malware or something now on my computer doing this. What is the best way to check this out for sure and remove it?

Please review the options below to determine which method is best to remove the Adware installed on your computer.
    The Easy, safe, effective method:

If you are comfortable doing manual file removals use the somewhat more difficult method:

  • Having Problems with InContext?.... check this out

Hey guys... check it out.. Do your research & you'll quickly learn that i was the #1 proponent of InContext... period!!! I answered more questions for Adobe.. for FREE than anyone.... I'm a little upset to say the least.
I'm  coming up with a script that will convert any existing InContext site to  a PageLime site with a click of a button.
Based on the  overwhelming number of email from those of you interested, I thought I'd  write this up real quick.
If you're not using it yet.. check out this  video. PAGELIME  CMS
Their Video Demo tutorial pretty much sums  it up.
In  the meanwhile, the easiest thing to do is a simple "Search  and Replace" from within Dreamweaver.
Basically,  the simple PageLime interface only requires two things.
    A  unique ID
    Any Class name
All it needs is an 'id" and a "class"....
For  consistency, I give all mine the same class. It works even if you add  it as a secondary pseudo. Here's some examples of the code:
    <div  id="anything" class="cms-editable" />
or if you  already have a class assigned, you could do something like      this
    <div id="sidebar" class="right cms-editable" />
    REQUIREMENTS:
    <div  id="REQUIRED" class="anything"  />
    how simple is that??? Duhhhhh!!!
PageLime  just    figures out the rest. Pages can be php, asp, cfm... anything!!!  And the beauty is they are actively listening and updating the core  everyday... In the Pro    plan, new features just show up. They're  working on a full version shopping cart, integration with SiteGrinder3,  dynamic content... you name it, they're on it!!!
If you have  specific questions, feel free to email me directly ANYTIME... Everyone  here will tell you I respond at all crazy times of day, if you have a  question, email me and I'm most likely up and on. No more waiting for  Adobe to get their lazy a$$'s around to answering questions.
    [email protected]
Enjoy  guys!! You're gonna like this one!!

  • Delete function--check this out

hey I pretty much just started with Ipod and Itunes.
The first time you delete a song from your Ipod or Itunes library it prompts you to let you know you are deleting something and make sure you're not accidentally you're deleting something you want. Underneath that theres a small checkbox and next to the box it says "Check this box to not recieve this message again," or something to that effect. Stupid me, I checked this box and now its really easy to delete files from my Ipod, if I accidentally hit backspace or delete it deletes the song forever. luckily i have most these files backed up. Still I would like to return to the default setting of having Itunes prompt me before I delete a file...is there any easy way of doing this?
    Thanks,
    newbie

  • Hey Orchestral / Score guys...check this out...

    Hey,
So some weeks ago I talked about setting up 3 G5's to run the new VIenna Library.......I worked the Logic "autoload" forever, using famous scores for references on "EQ", "IRs" panning.......everything. It took a while about a month....
Well......This week I pulled one of my scetches into the "new" autoload......and after about 36 hours of drawing swells, and tweaking....I made this.
(I thought I would start with something very simple.)

    TelePlay,
    not exactly......
However, having ALL instruments loaded and at ones disposal.........makes it easier to poke around and find the RIGHT textures and feel, enabling me to make the most appropriate choices...
    Especially string textures...
Some of my upcoming Action Cues will really tax the system though......
Here is what was used for this:
    Orchestration
BA Flautandos (with ponticello trems on top)
VA Flautandoss (with ponticello trems on top)
    VI Sordinos
    VI Appassionata
    Flute Perf-leg
    Harp
    Epic Horns (dynamic decrescendo patches)
    Gran Cassa
Timps (not satisfied with tone yet)
Basses Perf-leg (doubled with CS80 Synth Bass pad an octave lower than basses will go)
    IR's
Todd AO room on everything (with different send levels)
EMT Plates (for brass and percussion)
    Lexicon plate on various strings
What I'm most proud of though is the EQs and MIX....I'm sitting here listening to Howard Shore's Gangs Of New York Main theme...and then my cue comes on, and to me at least it sounds completely REAL.......you would not believe how drastic the various EQ's on some of the Instrument stems are.......getting the low-end right was a chore (always is).....
The secret on the EQs (especially the Harp is that wanting to use alot of Ambience from Todd AO IR meant that I EQ'd "into the reverb" ...certain notes would introduce really nasty resonances due to the Reverb, so I would find them and surgically remove those frequencies by cutting like 24db with a ultra-razor sharp Q.........like I said low-mid tones in French Horns, pp Harps, Flutes.........and it worx. The Harp has 4 of those extreme tite-q dips.....This enabled me to use more Todd AO...without getting muddy.
Also Violins have like 12 db of 10.000Hz hi-shelf boost.......same goes for horns....
    Most everything has 3.5db of 370Hz removed......(at a wide smooth q)

  • U guys SHOULD Check THIS out!  very cool.

Due to the inability to "cut and paste", you'll have to Google, "Iphone Missing Manual" it's an excerpt out of a book written by David Progue, that explains very COOL iphone features....a must see!
    iphone   Other OS

It's surprising that the iPhone doesn't come with help built-in.
There's too many secret items that a new user has to guess at or learn from others, from unusual double-finger gestures, to how each widget seems to have its own way of doing things, to the inconsistency of when the landscape keyboard can appear.
It's too easy for us UI engineers to get used to our own creations and believe they're very easy to learn
Btw, another interesting site is right here... the Apple web developer's guide for iPhone.

  • Can you trust System Profiler? Check this out.

Looking at the system profiler i was concerned about my battery capacity so i installed Coconut battery to check it as well.
Look at this screen grab and see if you can spot the problems.
    http://www.jonspeed.com/batt.jpg

Well, beyond the discrepancy in battery parameters, I'm trying to figure out how you got version 2.3 of Coconut Battery? From what I can tell by visiting both the VersionTracker page and the developer's site (http://www.coconut-flavour.com/coconutbattery/index.html), Coconut Battery is currently at version 2.2.
    What's up with that?
