Try disable anti-virus and firewall and try again. You can switch back on after you've finished.

Sorry you are having trouble syncing content with your iPhone 5. I found an article that might help with this syncing issue:

Also, you can delete the songs from the iPhone without syncing by just swiping from left to right over the song to get a delete button.

Hi, I've been experiencing problems with my iPod touch 5g, the problem is that when I updated it to iOS 7 some of my songs were deleted, so I went to iTunes and unsync it, but now I can't add the music again, iTunes says waiting for changes to be applied.

My iPod gets stuck at this point every single time I sync it and it will not sync again unless I factory reset it. It also will not sync on Wifi because apparently it is 'waiting for "HP"' (is that my HP laptop? Who knows...). I am syncing on a Windows 8 laptop (since having Windows 8, I have had this issue). Google hasn't provided me with any answers.
Same thing has been happening to me and I havent been able to find a fix. Itunes has basically rendered my phone uselsee. It wont see it, let alone sync it.

Connected my iphone to itunes yesterday and as I was adding music to my phone itunes got stuck on transfering data and still will not complete. It says at the top "syncing with *** phone (step 5 of 5) waiting for changes to be applied" it will not go past this and will not continue to transfer the music. Not sure what to do?
Thanks!After reading everyone elses "waiting for changes to be applied" questions I did a hard reset on my phone and then re plugged my phone into the computer reopened itunes and it worked perfectly!

For me it was stuck. So with the iphone/pad etc plugged in I was having the failings at the last step.
I got it to work by unticking "Sync this ****** over wifi" and onnly ticking"manually manage music and videos"
Maybe it gets confussed and I thought I was managing it anyway.
Anyway - that worked for me, literally did the ticks. Off it goes, now adding 1500+ tunes -

I had the same problem and the fix was so easy that I felt a little silly after spending 2 hours with an Apple Technician. At the end of it all, what I had to do was make sure ALL music was deleted from my iPhone 5 by going into usage and clearing out the music folder. All I had to do then was turn my phone off and turn it back on again. I had not done this after my phone upgraded to the new 7.0 IOS. What's the first thing you do when experiencing computer problems? Reboot! It fixed my problem and now my iPhone 5 synchs perfectly when I had it connected to my computer. I am also on iTunes version 11.1.

Hey, I was having the same problem,, i just got mine to work. Take off everything but your apps (meaning take off pictures, music, ringtones, movies, tv shows, etc just leave on the apps) Then go up to the top and go to Store and turn off Genius. Restore your iPhone (It'll ask you to back up, click yes.) Restore from back up, Let your apps come back then when those are done add each category one by one. (i.e. click Photos -> Sync Photos and let them finish, then click something else like music) Hope this helps!

Brand new iphone 5 says waiting for changes to be applied forever, every time I sync my phone.
I previously had an iphone 4, and after backing up everything, i bought an iphone 5 and transfered everything to the new phone when i was at the apple store. i brought my laptop to get help syncing the music, but it gets stuck in a perpetual loading screen and gets stuck on waiting for changes to be applied. i cannot cancel the sync unless i eject my phone. and when i do, all of the music is greyed out, when i plug my phone in again, it starts syncing and stops when it says waiting for changes to be applied, or sometimes copying files. ive restarted my computer, my phone, un-plugged and plugged back in, everything is up to date, i un-installed and then re-installed itunes and nothing seems to work. i could sync everything fine before when i had the ophone 4. i have an HP laptop with windows 8 and i core 7, and theres a label that says nvidia geforce gt 635 (hopefully the info helps)
Can anybody please help me with this?so i went back to the apple store and the only solution was to trade in your phone for a new one because there was a faulty conector in the microport. hopefully you have a waranty and your stuff backed up!

When I try to sync I get a message that says "waiting for items the sync" then it just stays there and runs for as long as I keep it hooked up. Any ideas?
I have tried everything I could to fix this, but some things require actually being on Firefox, and since I cannot get on, I cannot click on the tabs to do it. I have even totally uninstalled firefox, and that has not fixed this. I still get the same message that firefox is running and I need to close it or restart (which I have also tried dozens of times). I have removed things like Java, and that has not helped either. If I cannot even get on line in firefox, how can I fix this. I am not crazy about using internet explorer, but right now, it is my only option. I even tried to start in safe mode, and the same message box pops up!

I "mistakenly" deleted music from my itunes library while connected to my ipod which deleted all the songs too. I did recover the songs from the recycle bin, but I can't get them back in the library. Can anyone help me get the songs transferred back.
