Hey guys, my screen is dead. How do I get a new one?

I looked on eBay and found a bunch of displays, but there are so many, I don't know which one to get!
so I need a little help identifying my mac or the part number, if possible. I think it's a Macbook l,l.

Are you confident (in that case) that you can do the repair yourself? Perhaps you should let a professional select a screen and install it for you.

All 13" Mac Books have the same screen which measures 13" diagonally. If you need to examine other size/era Apple notebooks look here http://www.apple.com/support/hardware/
If you can plug an external display into it then click the top left Apple icon and select "About This Mac" for CPU identifiers etc.

Was your cracked screen fixed by an Authorized Apple Service Provider? I may be wrong, but I didn't think they fixed such things.
Regardless of who fixed it, and whether it was an authorized repair or not, I recommend bringing it back to the agency that fixed it in the first place. But note if the repairing agency is not authorized by Apple, you may not want to spend much more money on repairs there for this unit.

If you have lost your serial number then the first thing you should do is to check your DVD if it is attached on the sleeve of the DVD. Also, if you registered your product withy Adobe then your account should have a record of your serial number.
If neither of this apply then you can browse the Amazon website and look for a bargain on PSE12. PSE12 runs better on new computers and you also get updates for new cameras.
It looks like you have to buy a new product because serial numbers are not something you can get free of charge here.

IMac 700SE - power supply dead? can i get a new one?

well the power went out last week, and when it came back up my iMac did not
right now, i plug it in, hit the power button, the power light flashes, i hear a click (about a half second later), then it just goes off and the power button stops responding it to anything, i unplug it, plug it back in, hit the power button and the same thing happens, to me this sounds like a dead power supply as i have had this happen on a few PCs and when the power button stops functioning that to me sounds like its the power supply overloading, and in this case meaning its dead
now i don't really want to spend the money on a new computer as this is only used by my mom every few couple of days for email/IM/web, so does anyone know where i could get a replacement power supply? (i think) its a sliver shaped board that attaches to the main board and makes me think that i will never find a replacement unless i buy another 700SE iMac off ebay

nope, didn't help, nothing changed with the new battery
though i did notice that it booted when i didn't power up the drive (no power cable to it), but that has nothing to do with the battery, i also tried pressing every button attached to the board and nothing helped, so to me it looks like the power supply can't spin up the hard drive (the drive is good too, its in my other comp right now)
does anyone know how compatible the 400Mhz iMac is with the 700Mhz parts wise? i'm suppose to be getting a 400Mhz iMac soon, and would like to know if i could swap out the logic board on the 400 with the one from the 700 as that 400 one has a better screen and working power supply, but i would like the nice speed boost

From my laptop I am trying to sync my new desktop.
I have my KEY, which I had copied, into the documents, but every time I try to use it, I get a statement that it is incorrect and I should go to the my new desktop and get the KEY.
How can my new desktop have a KEY when it is not even part of the sync yet?
When I did look for it there was not place that I could see that would provide a new KEY number.
Both my laptop and new desktop are running Windows 8. My laptop is touch screen, but my desktop is still mouse run.

You need to get the key from the new device and enter it into the old device. So on the old device select "Pair a device" and the place to enter the key will show up.

I have Aperture 2, changed my imac, used the backup system and found that I cannot find my serial number for Aperture 2. I have Aperture 3 upgrade, so can someone please advise how I get my serial number for Aperture 2 please. I was having the same problem, unable to find my trash can. I did everythnig suggested in this post to no avail. Then I discovered if you hover to the far right of RECENT you will see either "Show" or "Hide" "Show" reveals the following, including the trash. I'm sheepish that the solution was so easy but delighted to report that after viewing AND emptying my trash, I gained 55 GB on my HD.
