Hey, I just bought an ipod touch 5th generation, but my lightning usb is not working anymore.
It didn't got wet, neither is phisicaly damaged... the problem is i'm not from the US (where I bought it) so I can't use the warranty.
Is it? okay well today I went to my capital city where there is an Apple Store, and they said the warranty is not international! I'm from Ecuador btw.
I don't know what to do since no one I know is traveling to the US in the near future.

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; this can be done by phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, or clicking here and picking a method, or if your country isn't listed in either article, filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

I just bought a ipod touch 5th generation space gray today and I feel that the audio isn't as good as I expected. When bought an Ipod touch 4th generation, the audio was so good but now its not. I bought a 5th generation expecting that it would be just as good as the first time I played audio on my ipod touch 4th generation.
What should I do?Yo have 14 days after purchase to return it for a full refund if yo purchased it from Apple.

Ipod touch 5th generation overheating and now sound is not working properly
Got an ipod touch 5th gen a few days ago and it has been working well for the first few days, then last night it came up with an 'overheat' message and turned itself off. I was surprised as it wasn't working particularly hard when it overheated, just plugged into a speaker system playing an audiobook. After cooling down and recharging the battery, I was able to turn the ipod back on again, but realised this morning when I tried to watch a video on it that there was no sound coming from the internal speaker. Also when headphones are plugged in the sound is really crackly. (the level of crackle changes when you change the volume - it is most crackly in the middle of the volume range and clearer when it is louder). Before it overheated, it had none of these issues. Also, it now seems to take longer to charge the battery, and the battery doesn't seem to hold it's charge as long. Is there anything I can do at home to fix these issues (as we live in a remote area)?
Try the following but I thing your iPod is defective
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

Well first you need to sync your iPhone 4 with your Mac/PC so that it will transfer all your music, apps, podcasts, etc. Then sync your iPod Touch and the media you selected during the sync should be there on your iPhone. If you have difficulty in transferring media from iPhone to your computer, try softwares like TransCopy. They will help in transferring data from your iphone to your computer. Dont forget to check that all the transferred data is in the iTunes media folder so that the iTunes can locate the files. Link to Transcopy software :

I just bought an iPod touch 4th generation 8GB for $199.99 but then when the iPod touch 5th generation came out, the 4th generation was still $199.99, but for a whole 16GB. Is there a way I can get some sort of free space?
If "just" is less than 14 days, you can return your iPod to Apple for a full refund.

The manual does not show that feature natively for the iPod. Later iPhones and iPads have that feature natively. -
I just received a iPod Touch 5th generation for xmas and it acts like it is locked, when you slide the slider it says unlock button and nothing happens. Can't slide the power off either. It tells you the time, unlock button, power off button but nothing happens. Voice just tells you the unlock button, time, poweroff button.
Please help also itunes says I need to enter on iPod the passcode to reset to factory. I can't get it open to enter passcode, slider doesn't work. It is one day old and this happen xmas afternoon. PLEASE Help someoneTry:

I just bought an ipod touch 4th generation recently, found that it is very difficult to plug and unplug the USB cable from my ipod. Does anyone have this problem?
Some of the Dock connector cables have very small buttons on the rounded adge of the plug, which need to be pushed in to release the plug from the iPod. Look at the picture below, do you notice the "button" on the white connector edge? There's one on the other edge too and they both need to be pressed in to release the "evil looking spike" sticking out of the grey edge.
The shorter plugs (that I've seen) do not have the release mechanism, the plug simply pulls out. -

The Apple warranty does not cover accidental damage, only manufacturing defects. Same as an automobile warranty does not cover an accident you might have.
Take the iPod Touch to an Apple store genius bar for an out-of-warranty replacement, on the 5th generation Touch that will be $149 (US). -
I have an iPod touch 5th generation (7.1.2) that has not been sending iMessages to other iMessage users. At first my iPod would not let me sign in to use iMessage, but I searched on different discussion boards that helped me log in. Now the trouble is not being able to send messages at all. I tried to delete the contact I was trying to message and restart the conversation board, but that didn't help at all. The contact continues to say 'xxxxxx not registered with iMessage" when, in fact, they are. I need help to resolve this issue.

I have an iphone 4 16 gb and got an ipod touch 64 gb because i needed more momory. i need to sycn everything from my iphone 4 to my ipod touch 5th gen i just bought. i just downloaded the latest version of itunes as well. To be honest, the newest version of itunes is hard to use and not as user friendly in my opinion - or i may not know how to use it yet. Anyways, i tried to backup my iphone to itunes and then restore my new ipod from the backup of the iphone 4, but it only backed up phoyos, contacts, and two other things (games was not one of them). Then when I restored my ipod, that is all that downloaded onto the ipod as well. I would really appreciate if someone would be able to provide me with detailed instructions as to how to be able to download everything from my iphone 4 to my ipod touch 5th generation. So I was using my iPod Touch 5th generation and the charger wouldnt charge it and it died then while it was in the process of tuening back on the apple logo dissapeered and it kept on turning on and off so i put it into DFU mode and it said to plug it into itunes to i did and it said i had to restore it to use it but when i tried to restore it it brought up ," Couldnt restore ipod, error code (9) " ..... and i have tried 3 different USB cables and two different computers and USB ports and i have no clue what to do so i would like help from anyone please that would be awesome!!!!
