By installing, do you mean the progress bar is stuck? Since this has been reported more than once recently, it's probably a server issue at the moment.

I am having a problen syncing my 80gb Ipod to my library. Its been syncing for over 24 hours. I have reset the Ipod and reinstalled Itunes. I am running windows 7 ,6gb of ram.Nothing seem to help. It take 2 miniutes to copy one song(very slow)

Managed to get my ipod restored to factory settings (yay!) However then it was being recognised in windows but not in itunes.......to solve this I referred back to Apples excellent troubleshooting guide. Installed the lastest version of itunes.....and there we go! We have a working ipod! I am so delighted and no longer on the verge of tears! (I so thought I had completely banjaxed my brand new ipod!)

After upgrading to Lion, I went to open Mail and received the message that it needed to upgrade my Mail database - this may take a few minutes. The bar shows it is about 1/5 along and has been there for over 10 hours.
I tried quitting and starting again but it just jumps back to the same spot.It is quite large, but I have tried two of the fixes suggested and things now seem to be moving along.
(I was unable to seach properly before which is why I posted the question - it was a bit of a panic) -

Try downloading the app with iTune and sync it to your iPad.

Installing the newest update for mavericks. Has been installing for over an hour. Don't know what to do. How long should it take?
I went to Apple Chat and they lead me through a power down and start up with Recovery Disc Utility (Hold down Apple and R keys when powering up).
Then was instructed to run Disk Recovery and it showed HD was error free. Then a reboot started up fine to desktop and showed update to 10.9.2 had been installed. I am guessing the internet connection my have been interrupted during the install.

I am backing up my Iphone 4S so, I can transfer all my data, numbers, apps, etc to my new Iphone 5. Although I have synced my 4S with itunes before, and I updated the iOS last week, I have never ran a back-up on it. I have had this phone for over a year, it has about 11 GB of storage used. UGH....It has been running this back up for over 14 HOURS!
Is it normal for it to take this long? If it is, how much longer is the back up going to take?
If it's not, what do I do????IIf you previously had items backing up to the iCloud, changing to the new phone will take a while depending on how much data and apps your restoring to the new phone. If your like me with 1,000's of pics and videos, it's gonna take a while. Make sure your phone I plugged in, your on wifi and let it do its things. If you see all your apps updating, then it's doing something. If this is not your issue, then it could be the phone froze up. I have the 6 plus and recently switched from the 5, and it took a long time to restore from the cloud. Restoring from iTunes is quicker I guess, but I didn't have that option at the time and was dying to use the new phone I eaitrd 2 weeks for. Anyways, good luck and I hope I answered something for you.

Hopefully it's been resolved by now - I have no idea how large each one of those files are. The progress bar tells you; FWIW, I only download one at a time - makes it easier and faster and you can choose to do the next one when you have time.

Someone got my iphone disabled, and when i went to password after it got unlocked i accidently got it wrong, i cant connect to itunes as my charger is broken so im using one without the usb, how long will i have to wait for me to be able to access it or how? thankyou
If it just says that it's disabled, then it will never re-enable on its own. You'll need to restore it:

I'm not sure what breaking your charger has to do with not being able to connect your iPhone to iTunes on your computer.

as Larry said, just a caution about the App Store Preferences:
If you do not want your software to update automatically, disable "Install app updates". But better not disable the option "Install system data files and security updates". If there are security updates available, it is important to get them installed asap. -
the progress bar on the Yosemite installation is stuck about a third in. Has not moved for eight hours. This is a brand new computer. Has any one had this problem. I can't contact Apple online support as they need a serial number. I can't get the serial number because my computer doesn't work now!
Look at the bottom of the MBP. There should be the serial number in very small print.

Just bought Illustrator and can't install it. Says installed in the pop up thing but it isn't anywhere on my computer or accessible through my web browser. been o hold for half an hour on so called "Live Chat"
Adobe Customer "Don't Care" have been "assiting other people" for about an hour now and I can't redownload Illustrator either.
