Did you have the Verizon Messages app downloaded to your phone? You can go to www.verizonmessages.com to log in and access your messages on My Verizon.

Cannot attach multiple photos using the ' Message ' option iOS 5.0.1 in ' Photos ' app.

Since i have updated my iPhone 4 to iOS 5.0.1 i cannot attach multiple photos using the ' Message ' option in the ' Photos ' app.
i browse my photos and then select ' Message ' on a photo. i am then able to attach the first image to the message.
When i then select the Camera icon on the created message to add another image , either ' Choose existing ' or ' Take Photo or Video ' , it does nothing and takes you back to your existing message.
I am able to attach multiple images when accessing the iMessage app it is just from the Photos app it is occuring
is anyone else having the same issue ?

I need to use the message class CL_BSP_MESSAGES in the even handler, because I need to use the Condition co_cancel_event_prefix to prevent saving in the method

Using the MESSAGE statement

Greetings.
I'm working on a program that will, among other things, process inbound files. If the filename specified does not exist I thought I would use the MESSAGE command to generate a runtime error using a parameterized Text Symbol which would have the name of the errant file; something like this:
text-m02 = "File &1 Not Found'.
MESSAGE text-m02 TYPE 'X' DISPLAY LIKE 'E'.
However, when I add the "WITH dobj" (where dobj is a string var w/ the name of the file) it won't compile saying that the "WITH dobj" statement is unexpected (regardless of where I put it).
But that got me thinking - is this the best approach? This program will be ran and the selection screen saved as a variant for each input file but it is entirely possible the file may not be around when this program fires off so I have to account for that possibility, along with processing errors.
Is there a recommended or "best" practice for handling errors in applications that will be ran in batch? If so, what are they?

When you use this addition, the icon of the message type specified in dtype is displayed instead of the associated icon. A character-type data object is expected for dtype. This data object has to contain one of the values "A", "E", "I", "S" or "W" in upper-case letters.
The message short text is still displayed as a dialog window for messages that are displayed this way by default. Messages with the type "E" or "W" (except those for PBO and LOAD-OF-PROGRAM) are displayed as a dialog window if dtype contains "A" or "I". Messages with the type "S" are always displayed in the status bar, independently of dtype. The latter also applies to messages of the type "I" for PBO and LOAD-OF-PROGRAM. Messages of the type "X" always cause a runtime error.

Is it possible to use the message control in R/3 to trigger a Proxy? The message control mechanism has some advantages that I want to use E.g. repeat messages with RSNAST00, configuration instead of coding etc.. Does anyone uses SD Invoice message control mechanisms together with XI Proxies?

RSNAST00 is not used to repeat messages (idocs) but to send them
try using standard IDOC in your sd invoice scenario

Check to make sure you are not typing your message in the Subject line. If you are, it won't let you send the message. Cut and paste the message into the Message field and you should be all set.
FYI, you can disable the Subject line from your messages in Settings/Messages.

Trying to install the Aim version of ichat on my new mac I only seem to be using the messages I want it to look like the old aim i used on my old mac

I used to run ichat though Aim, I just purchased a new mac mini and I am able to socialize then different wasy except Ichat through aim. It's very important that i use this because it's the only way to keep up with my professors, colleages and family members who all use ichat through aim

The Messages app is basically iChat with the iOS Messages app added on.
This adds the iMessages features. (essentially Apple's Own Messaging service like AIM or MSN but more like a system without a Buddy list)
If you happened to have Migrated your User account from your old Computer you may find that the System Preferences > Mail, Contact and Calendars pane has picked up on both emails and Names and IDs used in iChat and they may be active for Messages.
On first run Messages will tend to ask for an Apple ID to be "registered" with the iMessages service.
Once you have done this it will open the Main Messages window (It has become a Tabbed Chat and Interface combined purpose window that is "always On" by default.
As Braden has said you can add a Screen Name or Jabber ID or a Yahoo ID.
The Add Pane reduces the AIM Variants for MobileMe and @Mac.com to just AIM (add the Screen Name in Full) but retains the Google separation in Jabber.
The next issue is that by default Buddy Lists are not on Show.
Go to the Window Menu and use the "Buddies" or "CMD + 1" keystrokes.
This then is a combined window (Of all the Buddy List accounts such as Bonjour if enabled, Jabber/Google/Facebook or Yahoo or AIM (valid) ones.
In the Preferences > General Section there is a line about "Gather All Accounts into one List"
Unticking this will separate out the Buddy lists you have.
To be clear.
You will be asked for an Apple ID to "Register" for iMessages.
Other Account have Buddy Lists
By Default these appear in one List but can be separated.
As you may know certain Apple IDs ending in @mac.com and those linked to iCloud using @me.com and @icloud.com ending are also Valid AIM Screen Names.
If you use your Apple ID as your AIM Name then you will have to enter it as the Apple ID for iMessages and then in the Add Pane as the AIM name.
Main Window (Window Menu > Messages, CMD +0 )
Has an icon that looks like a square box and pencil.
This will add a "New Message" to the left.
The blue icon that appears top right can be used to select Contact (for iMessages) or Buddies.
Also Typing a Name in the "To" spot will bring up a list of Contacts and Buddies with indicators as to whether they are iMessages, AIM or Jabber or Yahoo potential connections.
Chats (Buddy lists) or Conversations (iMessages contacts) remain AIM to AIM, Jabber to Jabber or iMessages to iMessages.
If you have a Valid AIM Name you will have to add this to Messages to continue where you left off in iChat.

Time Machine used to back up automatically and now doesn't

I have a Western Digital 1TB hard drive. Until recently, when I plugged it in, within 30 seconds or so it would just do a backup. I believe this to be normal, though I confess I don't know if it is.
I recently went to a Genius Bar to get it looked at for a different reason, the trackpad had started flipping out and working by itself. It seemed fine and passed all the tests.
Before a prompt used to come up on the screen saying backup couldn't be completed - because, I assumed, my WD HD wasn't plugged in. I'd then plug it in and it'd just back up. Now, that doesn't happen. The symbol on my Finder toolbar just turned to an exclamation point (which did happen before but only after the prompt came up). Now, when I plug the thing in, it doesn't automatically start backing up, start working. It seems to back up the entire machine (as opposed to just the new stuff since last backup) from scratch. I have no idea if it's working correctly, what the Genius Bar visit did, or what. Usually a backup would take 10 mins. Last time (my first time after the Bar visit) it took 2 hours! And it's looking today like the same will happen. It's said preparing backup for 10 mins. All really odd. No idea what to do. Help!

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)

so that all messages are showing, and scroll back in the log to the time you noted. Select the messages timestamped from then until the end of the backup, or the end of the log if that's not clear. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command-V.
If all you see are messages that contain the word "Starting," you didn't clear the text field.
If there are runs of repeated messages, post only one example of each. Don't post many repetitions of the same message.
When posting a log extract, be selective. Don't post more than is requested.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.

Is it possible to use BAPi-ALE to send an IDOC using a message control?
I have configured the system to send an IDOC when a outbound delivery is saved in the system.
I have done the following.
1). I am using the std BAPI-ALE interface provided by the object type LIKP.
2). I am using the method SAVEREPLICA for which an interface already exists in BDBG transaction.
3). I hace created a distribution model in BD64 and added the BAPI - LIKP and SAVEREPLICA
4). Created a partner profile ( using the generate partner profile option in the BD64 transaction )
QUESTION:
1). How do i associate the custom OUTPUT type created for Delivery ?
2). I tried to associate the custom output type in the Partner profile definition under the message control tab but i am not sure which Process code to be used? Since the partner profile was generated automatically from BD64 it has an entry for SHP_OBDLV_SAVE_REPLICA as a message type in the outbound parameters. and i am unable to find a process code for this Message type in WE41. So what process code should i use in the Message control tab against the custom output type?
3). Do i need to leave the message control tab empty without making any entry? If yes then how would the system come to know that it needs to trigger this partner profile when the custom output type is proposed by the system?

Messages on an iPad will use the iMessage servicve from apple. So your recipients qwill need to have an Apple Devce, and have configured iMessages. And you must have the address they set up messages with to message them.

FM to find TID of a message in SMQ3 using the Message ID

I need to find the TID of a message in SMQ3 using its Message Id. I found the standard FM QRFC_TID_RESOLUTION, which works the other way i.e. finds Message ID using TID. Could any of you provide me the details?
