I have the latest version of Firefox. My isp uses Yahoo.com for it's home page. For the past few weeks, whenever I try to read a news or sports article, I get a message that says "oops, something went wrong". I tried reloading several times but no help. Same thing happens on another computer which has a different board and cpu. Both systems are Win XP Pro. This problem started before the windows cutoff date. Rebooting the machine doesn't help either. Any suggestions?

  • Can't Send Video Message "Oops, something went wrong"

Whenever I try to send a video message to any of my contacts I get a red exclamation point with an error message saying "Oops, something went wrong. Please try again, or get in touch if you need help." My webcam and audio both work. I'm running Windows 7. I have uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times. I have also restarted my computer with the same results.

Which version of Internet Explorer installed on your PC? Try Below:
Reset IE. Press WinKey + R  Type: iexplore.exe and press Enter In IE, Click Internet Options >> Advanced >> Restore Advanced Settings >> Reset.Mark Delete personal settings >> OK >> restart. Please Run the Cleaning Manager Utility Press WinKey + R to open the Run window type: cleanmgr tuneup and press Enterselect the Temp Internet Files boxes and click OK, then Click Delete files. Now Check Proxy settings In Internet Explorer, Go to, Tools >> Internet Options... >> Connections>> Lan settings , Use a proxy server... if it had been ticked, then... Remove that check. Make sure automatically detect settings is enabled. (Marked)

  • "Oops, something went wrong." error message when t...

Since I was forced onto the new version of Skype due to the deprecation of historical versions I have been unable record a video message. Whilst I am able to participate in video calls with no hitches at all, attempting to record a video message instantly gives me the following error message:
    "Oops, something went wrong.
Please try again, or get in touch if you need help."
Unfortunately, Microsoft struggle to implement error codes in their software, I can only assume this is because consumers find technical looking numbers terrifying, so I have absolutely no idea what the problem is - it could be a near infinite number of things.
I have done a full reinstallation of Skype, multiple times, including deleting all registries that are associated with Skype (as suggested in the Skype support site), clearing any obvious user caches that exist, and so on. Still, the problem persists. Not a single video source available on my computer allows the recording of a video message, so I do not believe this is a problem with my webcam or driver.
Running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, Skype 6.18.0.106.
I would appreciate any suggestions to solve this frustrating problem. Thank you.

  • Why is my camera saying that something went wrong with recording my video?

    Video not working
My camera is saying that something went wrong while recording my video.
I have a Windows 8 HP Laptop, and I'm trying to make a video and it is saying that something went wrong while recording it. I would appreciate it if I can get some help on this issue as soon as possible, thank you.

    Hello @Jessi-Marie ,
    Welcome to the HP Forums!
I understand you're getting errors while recording video on your notebook.
It would help to know which product you are using. For information on finding your product and model numbers click here: How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number?
It would also help to know which software you are using to record the video.
Have you tested the webcam with other software like Skype or CyberLink's YouCam software? It could be a conflict between the software and the webcam, or just the software, or just the webcam. We want to do our best to try and isolate the issue so we can focus our troubleshooting there.
I look forward to your reply!

  • Cannot Create Skype Video Message – "Oops, something went wrong-"

I've seen this issue a few times on here but none of the resolutions pertain to my situation. While I can Video Skype, I cannot send a video message. When I do, I get the message, "Oops, something went wrong. Please try again of get in touch if you need help." I have uninstalled Skype, cleaned the registry, restarted, and reinstalled to no avail. I am running 64-bit Windows 7 SP 1 on an HP G72 Notebook. There is NO external camera connected via USB. My camera options in video settings are HP Webcam-101 (in use) or Cyberlink Web Camera Filter. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I have attached the DirectX diagnostics file as well. Thank you.

Try updating the driver from the HP drivers to the generic Microsoft "USB Video Device" ones following the guidance in the graphic below:

  • Oops, something went wrong at our end

Skype for Web was working on my home system (in Chrome), although I could not get the audio and vido to work, just the text chat.
When trying from my work notebook (in Chrome 43.0.2357.81 m), when I login, I get this message (every time, for the last couple of days):
"Oops, something went wrong at our end
Sending one of our engineers to fix it. Give it a couple of minutes and try again."
I have also tried accessing Skype for Web from Internet Explorer 8.0.7601.17514 but get a script error after login (for 32 or 64 bit versions of IE)
    Regards,
    JG

I believe the "Oops" error text is specific to only the web email app (OWA), not the desktop client.  Do you get any other error details or error numbers?  Regardless of what app you are currently using, it may be worthwhile
to try the other method you are NOT using (e.g. try the Outlook desktop client if you get the error in OWA, or use OWA if you get the error in the client) just to see if the behavior differs.

    Hi,
Download and Install Adobe Application Manager, launch it and let it update itself.  Then you should be able to close Application Manager and open Creative Cloud Packager.  That worked for me

  • Error message when trying login to Network Monitor "oops something went wrong"

I am trying to get network monitor to work on my network. However, when installed I enter my credentials and get the error something went wrong. I am assuming we are blocking some traffic on the firewall or possibly even through a content filter. What I don't know is what url needs to be white-listed or which ports need to be opened for the application to work.
Firewall is off on the pc. I can authenticate when on a standard "outside link" But cannot when the same pc is on the LAN at work. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

  • I am not able to use my account because it says that something went wrong with my billing info., but i do not have a credit card but it says i do. I put $15 itunes card on it today and now apple is not letting me use it.

This is the second time I have had a problem with my account. I am extremely frustrated with it. A while ago I was not able to purchase anything including free apps. At that time I had an outstanding balance. Which had been from using a visa card on my account. I was then told to purchase iTunes cards which would be able to pay it. It then automatically took of the money for the balance that it needed. So I thought okay problem solved. Then for about a month or two I was able to buy music and apps. Now on April 8th, 2012 I am not able to buy anything again after I put a 15 dollar iTunes card on it. It is saying that my account had been opened on another device/ computer. But I use my computer for my account too.

Which version of Skype do you use?
Do you have Hamachi LogMeIn installed?
