I think you are good on scripting, so I have downladed your script named "JET_X_InkListSepLabels.jsx" wich is so close to be perfect for me and for others of course.
As you say in the instructions, you considered this as work in progress, so I wanna know if still working on this, or if can send you suggestions to improve it.

What do you not like about it? It's perfect.
When you find a script that is
almost what you want, that's the best time to get your toes wet in scripting. Look at the code, look at the Scripting Reference, and experiment to see if you can tweak it.
If you downloaded that script from a link in this forum, I'm not sure it is the latest. You might want to get it again from
here.

Are You There support

I currently use a personal firewall that isn't in the list of supported personal firewalls for the "Are You There" functionality. Is there any way I can specify through the "Custom" option my firewall software to be able to have the VPN Client check to see if it is there and running?

I think it is - as long as you know the "Product ID" and the "Vendor ID"

Vampire numbers are the numbers (with even number of digits) that can be expressed as the product of the digits in the numbers itself.
For example : 1260 is a vampire number. It can be expressed as a product of 21 and 60 . 21 and 60 are called FANGS

Instruments from jam packs are not there after new install

hi,
i ve been using all jam packs instruments in my GB2 last year on my imac
without any problems. i have them all at my external FW drive since then, and never at my internal. ( i usually dont use "loops" at all, i prefer instruments )
so, i installed new 10.4.4. on my new pb. starting GB2 i cannot see any instruments in my instrument list except the basic GB2 which are shipped.
i am missing , just for example "House Remix Drum set". so i drag it from the external onto the loop window. (the whole GB folder) it takes 5 or 10min and then its finished adding. but they are not in the window. and its also missing when i open a song from 2004 and 2005. it says "cannot find House Remix Drums" for example.

maybe i am doing something wrong.
i saw that there are 2 folders in my application support referring to GB2.
its "AUDIO" also, but i thought its only in "application support" > "GARAGEBAND"

Similar problem but browser would run for 5 minutes and then freeze. only done this since 3.6.6 update. Then i checked everything could think off and found 2 firefoxs running task manager so i ended the one that was frozen, works perfect. Maybe when firefox updated it did not remove the older version. MIKIE

This forum is a user-to-user forum - it always has been. It is designed so that we users can help each other.
You have to remember that sometimes an entire thread can be wrong. Perhaps the people posting about Podcast problems are wrong. Certainly, there is one thread that has been going on for some time, but the people with the problem seem reluctant to try any suggestions put forward to them, especially if the suggestion includes the thought that Apple may not be the cause of the problem. I use Podcasts all the time and rarely have any problems.
Apple (by the way) is not the cause of every single known problem in the universe!
That said, if you have a problem with Podcasts, why not tell us here and we'll see if anyone can help you?

Hello, Customer Service.. Are You There?

There is no way to e-mail verizon customer service and there is no way to get a hold of someone on the Live Chat (as usual)...
For the most part Verizon has great customer service. I have never had an issue in-store with the people working. They're always very friendly and helpful.
Right now I am trying to purchase a new phone and it is unavailable online but says that it is available in some stores close by, but when i click "pick-up from store" it goes back to the page and nothing is added to my cart. It shows the stores where it is unavailable (unable to click those stores) so why can I not pick-up the phone I want from a store within my area???

I would count yourself lucky that it did not function.
Many posts on nightmares from ordering online and going to the store where they won't release the device from store inventory.
I would go to the store directly. Do not use online ordering, or telephone sales or you may not like the outcome.
Awhile back at the AT&T site we were going to pick up at store but after getting through the order screen the radio button selected puck up at store but it never registered. The call we made to AT&T was honestly answered as "Only certain stores at this time can be used" told the gal it showed available in my city but she told me that store was not one of the stores that can be picked up from.
Needless to say they lost a sale.
You are better off going to a corporate store for that purchase.

IPHOTO CRASH AGAIN!!! TD are you there?

this just happened in April and now again. i pulled up the post from before and read (thanks for all the help before) but i am wondering if anyone has any new insight on why this keeps happening.
please help and tell me what i need to post or show you to resolve this issue. i have 9700+ photos on here.

Did you by chance dismount the external drive with iPhoto opened? If so that probably trashed the database file and caused your current situation.
Do you have a backup copy of the iPhoto database file, Library6.iPhoto? It's the most critical file of the library.
If the rebuild does not restore your library and you don't have a backup copy of either the library folder or the database file, you'll have to start fresh with a new library and import the original files from the old library. Here's how:
Creating a new library while preserving the rolls from the original.
Move the existing library folder to the desktop.
Launch iPhoto and, when asked, select the option to create a new library.
Drag the Originals folder from the iPhoto Library on the desktop into the open iPhoto window.
This will create a new library with the same rolls as the original library. However dates on the rolls may be different but can be edited as you would the roll title.
Once this is completed you can delete the iPhoto library folder from the desktop. If desired, you can keep the older library folder to try other fixes on it.
In the future I recommend you make a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto file after each import and after doing a lot of editing and organizing in the library. Then if you experience a similar crash all you need to do is replace the damaged database file with the backup copy and you'll be back to the same place in the library as when you make the backup. See the tip at the end of my signature. You'll have to modify the Autromator script to look for the database file on the external HD. Then it will be copied to your Pictures folder on your boot drive. Use it after any import, editing, organizing, etc. that you do in iPhoto.

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

I don't know what is a TANGO program but if you'd like to print from a query, it is possible
(on the clients machine too). It can be quite difficult if you have never seen Java before. You have to learn,
and you can see on the net at java.sun.com if the tutorial is good for you (the best way to learn is to practice).
You have to use JDK1.2 if you'd like to print, don't use an older version.

I have got a Print Application program which does printing similar to our ATM PIN Number printing technique (ie. in special stationary for the purpose of secrecy).
For the need to control my Layout and area of printing (pixels(x,y) are dynamiclly located).I used Java Bean for this purpose. Printing was done succesfully but always to the Printer Connected to the Server. Not on Client's Printer.(which is what I want like javascript code :window.print() does).
My contention was that since bean is there in session and getPrinterJob get current printer setup (that is what the docs said) it would be naturally the Client Side Printer Setup it would fetch.But unfortunately this is not the case .
Can u lead some facts to thsi to slove

Hi - Using a pdf created using LiveCycle 7.0 I'm trying to create xFDFs using data from an Access database. The xFDF should then be e-mailed to users who fill out the forms and return xml files by e-mail. I then parse out the xml in to SQL Server using VBScript. The problem is that setting the value isn't working. I'm thinking of uninstalling 7.0 and reinstalling 6.0, as I've hit a wall at every turn to try to pre-populate a form. Has anyone been able to do this in 7.0? I have a vital form that clients fill out, which is passed to many people in the company along the workflow. The form is a Planner and we have in the following PDF, Word Doc..
Well before, the Planner.pdf was originally created in Word, since most people have access to Word.. but evolved to a PDF form created from the Word Doc via Adobe LiveCycle Designer 8.0 w/ User Rights enabled so that the form could be filled out and saved using Adobe Reader.. which was a step better than Word.. being that it is free. But this needed to be easier and more to the point b/c some clients don't particularly like installing the latest version of Reader, even if you provide them the link. Nor do they like saving the form, filling the form, and attaching the form to send back.
My goal is to have the client fill an HTML version of the form, submit and be done with it, but everyone in the workflow be able to easily receive the filled Planner as a PDF form.
So some months ago I ran into this post Chris Trip, "Populate Livecycle PDF from mySQL database using PHP" #8, 22 Sep 2007 4:37 pm
which uses the command line Win32 pdftk.exe to merge an FDF file into an existing PDF on the remote server, and serve this to whoever.
My problem was with shared hosting and having the ability to use the Win32 pdftk.exe along with PHP which is predominantly used on Linux boxes. And we used a Linux box.
so i created the following unorthodox method, which a client fills the HTML version of the Planner, all field values are INSERTED into a table in MySQL DB, I and all filled planners that have been filled by clients to date can be viewed from a repository page where an XML file is served up of the corresponding client, but someone would have to have Acrobat Professional, to import the form data from the XML file into a blank form.. altoughh this is simple for me.. I have the PHP file already created so that when a Planner is filled and client submits. >> the an email is sent to me with a table row from the repository of the client name, #, email, and a link to d-load the XML file,
But I also have the PHP files created so that the Planner can be sent to by email to various people in the workflow with certain fileds ommitted they they do not need to see, but instead of the XML file beiong served up i need the filled PDF Planner to be served.
I can do this locally with ease on a testing server, but I am currently trying to use another host that uses cross-platform compatibility so i can use PHP and the pdftk.exe to achieve this, as that is why I am having to serve up an XML file b/c we use a Linux server for our website, and cant execute the exe.
Now that I am testing the other server (cross-platform host), just to use them to do the PDF handling (and it's only $5 per month) I am having problems with getting READ, WRITE, EXECUTE permissions..
Si guess a good question to ask is can PHP do the same procedure as the pdftk.exe, and i can eleminate it.
or how in the heck can i get this data from the DB into a blank PDF form, like i have described??

Status bar for multiple preloaded levels (kglad are you there?)

OK, ive been building a site for about a month now and slowly piecing it together- so far ive managed to get all my various different levels loading and unloading the way i want them to, but now id like a little status bar to load on screen as my multiple levels are loaded in the background.
The way ive been accomplishing this without the load bar is like so:
on first frame of main movie

(the first frame of each of those movies has a stop function on it)
And i have buttons on the main movie that make each of those levels visible and play.
NOW, ive just created a movie clip ive named "bar" which is a thin rectangle, and i would like to have that movie clip load lengthways as my multiple levels are loaded in the background. So, my question is how do i accomplish this? I've looked all over and it seems like all the good preload tutorials are loading into movieclips whereas i am loading into levels.
Right now my site is technically working, but there will be pauses for people with slower internet connections and i need my bar graphic to pop up so they dont think they are dealing with a broken site....

.aiff into iTunes from DVD (NoName are you there?)

I realise that there is a topic just below this one pertaining to the same issue, however my problem is slightly different, hence the new topic.
For some time now I have been ripping the audio part of music DVDs and, following NoName's wonderful instructions, haven't had any problems. This time it's different. I have been attempting to extract the audio from Queen's new DVD (Live at the Bowl. The audio tracks give a choice of PCM or DTS. I used the PCM option and can get as far as converting the tracks from VOB then to AIFF files, but that's as far as I can go. For some reason iTunes will not import the files.
I have tried both the Import and Add to Library options, but nothing seems to work. I have my settings all as they should be for this task, but no go.
Can someone please give me an idea of where I am going wrong? I don't want to do any illegal copying, just want to play the music on my computer.

There's not a real "neat" way of dicing up the soundtrack of a full main feature into 25 different tracks marked just as they ought to be.
I won't get into any specifics or suggestions here, but it would seem that one piece of software may have the ability to image an entire main feature (of an unprotected DVD of your own creation for backup purposes, of course) onto your hard drive, and then the other piece of software could theoretically be used to extract audio on a track-by-track basis (since the software can work with DVDs or VOB files from DVDs). Since you've had better luck in this case converting PCM to AIFF with AIFF from PCM, it might be good to stick to that (as opposed to bd4go).

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
