Hey, last night after my phone died it refused to charge or even signal the battery picture which is usually what pops up when it has run out of battery life, whats wrong?
I've used various charger with my phone due to the fact that my original one broke and it's hard to get a hold of a real apple cable, So last night it ran out of battery and refused to charge anymore ( this was the third time it ran out of battery). It didn't react to any of the botton, it didnt even signal me with the whole " i need you to charge me " picture. later that night i decided to check on it and it signaled the picture so i plugged it in with the cars charger and it worked, my phone charged perfectly fine it turned on and worked okay. and this moring the whole senerio stared up again except now it won't charge at all i found an original Apple charger, i plugged into the computer, car, and house outlet and no response from the phone at all. I also I don't have the cable which charged my phone last night in the car it belonged to a friend and my phone still has no response to any bottons....
If you have one try using a different charger lead, adapter or plug socket. If that fails it may be that the charger port is broken. I had the same problem with my ipad but it was within warranty and I got it replaced at an apple store

You can't delete photos from Photostream without resetting it at iCloud.com, also you can't have 1,200 photos in Photostream.
Have you tried turning Photostream off and on again. -
Am having problems with display hovering in open tabs. I used Full screen last night when browsing for first time and since then when I go back to normal view the window shakes up and down about 1/4 inch and have to go to full screen for steady view. The toolbars are all steady it is only the web page.

Try opening View > Toolbars and click on the Bookmark Toolbar item to remove the check-mark, and then see how that affects that "jumping" or vertical oscillation of the UI.
If that doesn't solve your problem, you can try the Firefox SafeMode and verify that problem doesn't exist in that troubleshooting mode.

Well last night after I had got off the phone it had froze up (never happened before) and then it it went blank. I would call it from my house phone and it would ring and vibrate but nothing showed up on the screen. I don't know where to go from here I just need desperate help. Please and thank you!
Try doing a hard reset, Hold the "Home & Power Buttons" down at same time, until you see the Apple Icon appear. Then let go of the buttons.

After uploading our phones with the latest update, we have noticed that the battery life has deminished considerably. I now have to charge my phone overnight and two or three times a day. Prior to the update, my battery life lasted me at least a full day. We have several phones in our office and the ones that have updated (4) now have issue holding a charge/battery life. I really liked this phone and can not believe that you are now going to charge us $79 a battery to fix what is most definately a problem with your latest update. I know other people outside of our company that are having the same problem. Not to mention when I called AT&T it was confirmed to me that they are hearing the same issue and then some from other customers as well. Your own people, once I talked to them earlier today, told me they are showing a history of issues that are showing up after the update was put in place. Of course she tried to say, "Maybe the age of the battery and the update both contributed". Whatever.
I want you all to know how disappointed I am in your company for the handling of this issue. I always thought "Apple" was the line I didn't have to worry about having any types of issue. And that you all would stand behined your product 100%. Now I am not so sure.
I would love to hear back from your company on how you perceive the issue with all of these phones that prior to the update didn't have any issues and how after the update THEY ARE NOW having issues. I do not believe this was an issue due to the age of a battery and that was pretty lame to say so. It was fine and now its not.
Please feel free to contact me and help me figure out a way to pay for all of the batteries that will be needed for our company to contiue doing business as needed.

My iphone 4 got damp last night and this morning it is locked with a lock symbol in the upper right corner. How do I unlock this so I can use my phone?

I was on the phone last night and my phone randomly turned off. It will not come back on even when I have tried to hold the home button and the power button at the same time, while being plugged into the computer? What do I do?
Plug it into power for at least 15 minutes. If it doesn't automatically come on, try a reset... press the home and sleep (on/off) buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.

What is wrong with my phone if the battery life is draining while the phone is in the lock position?
Last night my phone just started getting extremely dim and I had it on the brightest setting. It was so dim you had to look at it under a light just to see what was on the screen. It then proceeded to lock down. I plugged it in but it would not charge. Finally, after almost an hour of being plugged in it finally started charging. It is acting completely normal except that it is constantly warm and the battery life keeps draining even when it is not in use. Does anyone know what is wrong with it? Can it be fixed? Normally, how much would this cost me? Your help would be greatly appreciated!!

my iPhone is about 6 months old now and I would say I don't use it that much. Yet for the last month or so the battery life has been going down and today after having charged it to 100% this morning, it was at 5% at 4 pm this aft. help!!
Ok Fellas, let me give you a clue: Games, particularly those that make heavy use of graphics and sound are notoriously power hungry. In fact, when I was in the Navy many years ago, the folks working on the NTDS (Navy Tactical Data System) computers used a version of Space Invaders to load test the AN/UYK-43 computers.
I have also noticed that all of my laptops (I have a brand new Toshiba dual core, an older Toshiba single core, plus 2 Dell dual core machines) have significantly shorter battery life when I play Company of Heroes than when I am just reading e-mail or surfing the 'Net. I have also noticed the same behavior when I play games on my 4th gen Touch and my iPhone 4.
The fact is, iOS 5 did make some major improvements as well as adding some nice functionality like iMessage, wireless synch, and such, but the down side is that depending on how you use the device battery life can be shorter that what you may have experienced with pervious versions of iOS. Its just the nature of the beast...

I am writing you because of facing a problem in my ipod. I have downloaded wechat a month a go and then deleted later on, but last night I needed wechat again so i try to download it but the very astonishing problem occurs in downloading that. In apple store when i search wechat there is written open on it right side instead of free or install. I become so much astonished that if i don't have wechat in my ipod apps then how it become written open on it....?????? i just tap that open but its nor opening neither downloading.....
I am so much worried about that problem because i need wechat badly....
Please help me as soon as possible....If you are getting the 'open' option on the Purchased tab in the App Store app then that implies that you still have the app installed - you've checked all of your iPod's homescreens and app folders for it, and tried searching for it via its spotlight search screen (swipe your first homescreen to the right) ? Do any of those find it, or if you tap on the 'open' button does that open the app ?

I am very disappointed with the battery life I am getting out of my Iphone 5S 64G. I charge it every night, and would be lucky to make 15 to 20 minutes of calls during the day and yet I am lucky to get much more than 12 hours of life out of the battery.
I have to make a conscious decision not to use it to avoid it running out on me. I had it back to the Apple Store last week and they ran diagnostic checks on ot and said that the hardware was within specs.
They replaced the software as it was showing that Springboard had crashed on several occasions. The other problem I was complaining about was that at least 2 or 3 times a day, the phone would refuse to wake up when I hit the home button. It would take sometimes up to a minute of pressing the button before anything would light up. The guy at the Apple store said that this was caused by Springboard crashing and that this would also be what is reducing the battery life.
I did notice that after they replaced the software, the waking up problem appeared fixed for a few days, but the battery life had not improved. Now the waking up problem is starting to return.
It is very annoying and somewhat embarrassing when you are with a client and go to make a call and your shiny flashy new Iphone 5 won't even light up. Especially when you have to borrow your clients Nokia....My best bet would be to restore the phone. Back it up to itunes, and then reset it Factory settings. This way, any corrupt software will be removed, and you can start fresh. Make sure you back it up first. By the sounds of it, you are using the phone for business and probably need the data from it. I have never been so disappointed with an Apple Product such as the Iphone 4s. When I signed up with a new 2 year contract, I received my iphone 4s. I charged it fully the night before, then it didn't even last the day (with minimal usage). I turned off Location Services, Wi Fi, and Bluetooth, this helped a bit. But what is the point of turning these services off, when I NEED THEM!!! The wonderful new Siri doesn't work properly without Location Services turned on.
So I upgraded to the iOS 5.0.1. version - that did absolutely nothing to assist the battery life.
Apple, what are you going to do about it? My new Apple phone is a LEMON!
If I had of known how bad the battery life is on the iphone 4s, I would have got a Samsung Galaxy 2!!!!!It doesn't really matter whether I am talking to Apple or not (and I'm sure they monitor these comments), I want everyone to know how bad this new iphone 4s is, and all of it's problems.
Apple have already launched an upgrade to the software - it obviously did not help, as many around the world would concur.
As far as being patient and waiting for another "update in the works" is concerned, it is just not satisfactory. This is not a cheap phone, and those who are experiencing these problems, should not have to be paying a substantial amount of money, for a very smart phone, that obviously, has some serious problems. -

1st I would run it right down & then do a full recharge, then run it down again + a full recharge..
Check that you do not have any apps running in the background, reset PRAM..
When all's done I usually run a movie & time how long the battery lasts..if after that & no joy call Apple Help.. -
How can i extend the battery life of my iphone 4s? when i left 50% it in standby mode when i saw in 5hours it drains to 5% i saw 45%, i thought when i leave the phone the percent is still the same. whant am i goin to do?
I was not aware of the fact one could use ringtones as alarms, this will suffice! Although I foresee some very awkward times as the sound does not stop once I respond to the reminder (it keeps going for good five - ten seconds after I "stop" the reminder), but it's better than missing it altogether!

-Modular747: I don't know anyone who actually reads the terms of service agreement, those things are usually up to thirty, small print pages full of legal jargon. Rules, I do read - not the legal documents (also they often contradict the laws in my country, but that's a whole different story).
I agree with you - the average customer support consultant mostly cares about keeping his job and earning his salary (don't we all?) and thus racking up completted tasks (i.e. getting rid of customers as fast as possible - in a good mood). The "threat" none the less is real, if a cell phone causes me more trouble than it is worth, I will indeed throw it away (I have done so before) - and recommend a different brand to anyone willing to listen.
Don't get me wrong, I love Apple and I've been faithfully using and recommending their producs for twenty years now, not because of fanboyism, but because they earned it. This calendar issue, however, is like a toaster that doesn't automatically eject the toast at the set time. I see it as a major flaw and after googling around a bit I see that it's been around since at least 2007 (THAT'S SEVEN YEARS!!) so I strongly believe they are aware of this problem by now, but are choosing to ignore it for some mysterious reason and it really ****** me off.
I will send the feedback but based on my observations I suspect the Send button is merely a cleverly disguised Delete button.

Trouble installing Windows 8 on OSX 10.8.5
I have tried over and over again to install Windows 8 Pro using Bootcamp and cannot get around the issue. I have been to AppleCare and they can't figure it out. I have even called a reseller who tells me this is a known problem. Can anyone help.
