Hey Oracle ! Say XP Pro not just XP or Windows

The top level description for software should say XP Pro not XP. This is a very common issue. In the last 30 days, there have been over 1,400 posting regarding XP Home. Give users a break and make it clear from the very beginning
that XP Home is not supported by any Oracle products.

If the PC doesn't "see" the Airport Express wireless network at all, I'd say you haven't installed the Linksys wireless network adapter properly.

Hi Guys,
I uninstalled OBIEE 10.1.3.4.1 and OBIA 7.9.6.1 and after that i did disk cleanup from Start->Accessories->System Tools-> Disk Cleanup.
And after that when i tried to Install OBIEE 10.1.3.4.1 i got the following error.

But my machine is Windows XP x86 and I have installed OBIEE. I was surprised when i saw this error.
In Run-> CMD when I type Systeminfo i get the following error.
Loading Network Card Information...
ERROR: Provider Load Failure.
I would appreciate if any one of you can let me know what could be the problem.

If you are on right version of windows go to MSDN and search for your error and how to fix it

You don't need to download the Windows support software, because in Snow Leopard, they are only available as a download for the Late 2010 MacBook Air.
Instead, you have to buy Mac OS X Snow Leopard. The Snow Leopard disc contains the Windows drivers for your Mac, so you have to install them after finishing the Windows installation

Oracle R12 EBS Forms not getting invoked in Windows server 2003

Hi,
I have installed Oracle EBS R12 in my personal laptop with Win2003 server as base OS. Until all these days I was able to launch the forms and work on EBS without any issues.
Today when I tried to login in and open a form, the system is just not responding. It is not launching the form applet. I checked the Java options and everything remain correct. My internet explorer settings are also proper and no firewall is existing. JRE version installed is 1.6.0_07. I even tried invoking test form from Oracle Forms options, but no form was launched.
The same issue happened a month before and I ended up installing Oracle again. However, I dont want to go to that option and requesting your valuable help to get this fixed.

Finally I got the issue fixed. Did not download Java or any JRE version; because, the available version itself was Java 6 and the JRE version was 1.6.0_07.
The issue seems to be that, if the 'JRE Auto-Download' in Java control panel is set to 'Always Auto-Download' then java is trying to use the latest version available in their server. I then changed the setting to point to 'Prompt User' and tried opening a form and it worked!!!
Sounds like a solution to this issue and hope it doesn't recur. Will keep posted if I face any. Thanks for your help!

DO NOT TRY TO CLEANUP OR RE-INSTALL JAVA. TRY THE BELOW BEFORE YOU PERFORM SUCH THINGS.
Step1: Clear all cache and cleanup the history/temp memory in your browsers.
Step2: Close all your browsers (IE, Netscape, Chrome, Mozilla etc).
Step3: Check if your Java version is SE6 and JRE is pointing to version 1.6. You can check this in Java control panel -> General and Java tab respectively.
Step3: Control Panel --> Java (DClick) --> Go to Advanced tab --> expand "JNLP File/MIME Association" and "JRE Auto-Download" --> Select "Prompt User" in both and "Apply"
           In addition to this have the "Debugging" option enabled and "Show console" in the same tab.
Step4: Open IE and login to Oracle Apps. Click on any form. now Java will enable and you will be able to see the console messages. In a few moments(depending on your system speed), the forms should be displayed.
If this doesn't fix the issue, then copy paste the entire console message and post a question in this forum for help. Enjoy your EBS!!

Oracle XE: Database does not mount automatically after Windows reboot

after rebooting a Windows 2003 Server, the Oracle Services seem to start properly, but the database is not mounted.
However the database can be mounted manually via that SQL console.
How do I achieve that the database is mounted automatically?

Firefox says it can not find the server (Windows Internet Exployer works fine

When I try to connect to Firefox,I get the message can not find server.(All my hardwired computers,to Dsl).When we try Windows Internet Exployer it works fine.That is what I am using to send this message.

When you say it works okay on new browser do you mean IE or do you mean if you reinstall Firefox. As far as I know it is the Firefox updates that get are mostly affected. What Firewall do you have.

Can I direct all sound from MacBook Pro to Airport, not just iTunes

Hi, want to be able to choose AirPort for all audio out from my MacBook Pro, not just iTunes. Is that possible? For example I would like to stream YouTube music via AirPort...

Thx for answer. However, I can not choose AirPort the way you described, only "internal speakers or Thunderbolt/external monitor speakers". Seems like it's only in iTunes one can choose AirPort output. I would like to play all aduio out via AirPort.

Premiere Pro not starting up

Premiere Pro CC is not even starting up. I very recently purchased the CC annual subscription and all the other apps are working fine except for premiere pro. It just wouldn't start up. A window comes up saying "Premiere pro has stopped working. Windows is checking for solutions". I have tried installing and uninstalling the app again and then tried quitting and signing out of creative cloud. Nothing seems to be working.
I am working on a Dell mobile workstation (m6700) with i7-3840qm processor, NVDIA Quadro k3000m 2gb graphics card and 8 gb of RAM.

3.Go to compatibility tab
4.Check the box Run as , Choose Windows 7 in the drop down box
5.hit apply and OK.

When I try to install Oracle BI EE 10.1.3.3 on Windows XP I get the following error:

Here's the short version of my fix on a Latitude 830.
systeminfo.exe is dependent upon Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI)
I downloaded WMIDiag from Microsoft http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=d7ba3cd6-18d1-4d05-b11e-4c64192ae97d&displaylang=en
WMIDiag identified problems.
After some analysis, I decided that Broadcom ASF Management Application was the culprit. Yep, this is installed by Dell. http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/software/smasf/en/port_ug/install.htm
Next, I removed the Broadcom ASF Management Application program from my machine. WMIDiag OK. systeminfo.exe OK.
Just for grins, I downloaded Broadcom ASF Management Application R59662.EXE from Dell and installed. WMI is OK.

Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor says X-Fi Xtreme Gamer Pro not compatible

CWindows 7 Upgrade Advisor says X-Fi Xtreme Gamer Pro not compatible? Just ran the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor and it says my X-Fi Xtreme Gamer Pro is not compatible with Windows 7. Windows 7 is to be released in a couple of months, I would think between Creative and Microsoft, Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor would be accurate by now. It's one thing to say there might be a problem or to get updated drivers, but to say it's just plain not compatible sounds pretty final.
I really expected to see a forum thread on this cause I'm sure I'm not the first one to run the Advisor and see this message. Came here to a Creative Forum for some information/clarification on this and there is nothing! Kind of mindblowing actually considering all the people who must have X-Fi's. From coming here, one would think I'm the only one who owns an X-Fi and is planning on going to Windows 7 (hell, maybe I am).
So now I have Windows 7 (Professional) pre-ordered (going to use 64 bit BTW) and am now tripping if my X-Fi is going to work or if I just just remove it before I install Windows 7 and use my onboard sound, or get a different sound card entirely.
Dazed and confused and really wanting to know what the hell is going on with Creative.

G After the experience of the Windows 7 Advisor saying the X-Fi sound card is not compatible with Windows 7, I don't have much faith in it now. If it could get it so wrong with the X-Fi, I now wonder how many other mistakes it is making. It's still quite hard for me to believe with the communication one would think would be going on between Creative and Microsoft, that the Advisor would not be more accurate than this. As I said before, the Advisor didn't say there might be a problem or that there could be a solution, it matter of factly said it just plain wouldn't work with Windows 7. The user is sitting there reading?the finality of that?information from Microsoft, with the conclusion of just tossing the card (cause Microsoft says it ain't gonna work) and then trying to figure out what is?going to?be their sound solution for Windows 7. I'm planning on going to Windows 7 Professional 64 bit at some point and it's really important to me to know what components/programs in my current system are not going to work. Now I have no more confidence in knowing this anymore than?I did before I ran the Advisor. Looks like it's going to be around a couple of months before Windows 7 releases. I just got a Touch 32GB yesterday and ran into the same problem. I have two PCs in the house that I can sync my iPods on, but I normally use one that DOESN'T have an internet connection, so that the one that does is free for others to use ... a great argument and tension solution, btw.
Anyway, I hooked up the older "iTunes" PC to the net for a first-time sync with the Touch, and ran into this problem. First it kept detecting the Touch as an unidentified iPhone, then I couldn't sync my classic either. Then I found a post here about how when multiple USB ports running off same USB controller seem to screw with the Touch/iPhone syncing.
So I disconnected all but 2 of my USB 2.0 slots (the Touch & the Portable HD with my iTunes Library) and now it's working perfectly. I don't know if this will solve your problem, but it might be worth a try.
