Hey Patrick, why won't Motion open when I send my project from fcp?

I just started playing with motion... doing the tutorial. The first time I tried the tutorial, it worked fine. The next time, the project didn't save, Motion didn't open.
I tried the usual, repaired permissions, trashed the prefs. But so far, nothing.
(By the way, I just figured you would be the first person to read and respond to my question... you practically own this forum.)

Hi Jim and All-
I have the same problem at the same point in the same tutorial. The other tutorials may be better, but I am concerned that, being new to FCS, I am missing functionality I didn't know I should have. Like the commercial said, I don't know enough to know what I don't know about. I am coming over from PremPro and AE, and I am impressed with the wealth of built in features. I don't care for the idea of reinstalling the OS and all of FCS, but if it helps... If there are any answers to this issue, I would be glad to know. Thanks to all-

If Safari is not opening any window when you click the icon, I would use these troubleshooting steps from the following article:
If Safari can’t open a window - Safari Help
If you can’t open Safari or a new Safari window, try these suggestions.
Use the latest version of Safari and OS X. To check for a Safari update, choose Apple menu > App Store, then click Updates. For more information, see Keep your Mac up to date.
Check your startup disk using Disk Utility.
If the other suggestions don’t help, try reinstalling OS X.

Why won't iTunes open when I plug in my iPod?

I plugged in my iPod, and if I already have iTunes open, I need to close it because it freezes. However, when I try to re-open iTunes, it will not open. I recently updated iTunes to 7.2 and I also updated my iPod software to the most current one. What should I do? I wanted to restore my iPod, because it kept skipping songs before, but now I can't even open up iTunes to restore my iPod. Please help .

Over time I've come across a number of posts concerning iTunes for Windows not opening. One conclusion from other Windows users that you might want to check out has been that it could be the result of malware on your PC. Why are images low resolution when I send packaged files from InDesign?

I am a new InDesign CS5 user. I packaged a file and sent it to a coworker but the illustrations that she received were low resolution. My original file had high-res images. Am I doing something wrong when packaging the links?

Why won't iCloud allow me to send outgoing email from iPhone?

I try to send emails from my newly created iCloud account, but I get an error message saying that the server isn't working.

Also same here. If it's any consolation the iCloud and mail forums are awash with this problem. I am most disappointed that the service status is showing all ok since 9.37am UTC yesterday when it is obvious that the mail poblems they posted as resolved are are not in fact resolved. I am sorry I cannot offer any solutions, as many of those suggested by others (which I have tried) either only work temporarily, slow your mail down interminably or fail to work at all. It should work the way Apple say it should and not require work-arounds. What I find most disappointing is the lack of an ackowledgement somewhere that there is a problem and it is being addressed. Perhaps then tens of thousands of people (or more) wouldn't be wasting hours and hours trying to get it to work to no avail.

I'm running Snow Leopard and Motion 5.0.4. Software Update doesn't list anything for Motion, but the release notes say it's up to 5.0.7! Why won't Motion give me the update to 5.0.7?

Thanks! The problem I had was that I simply needed to download a new version from the App Store. I had honestly completely forgotten about the App Store. I'm on 5.0.7 now.

Why won't files open in Camera Raw from Bridge?

I am trying to open files in Camera raw from Bridge but get the following message.
"Bridge's parent application is not active."
Both Bridge and CS5 are open and I have opened camera raw previously.
Any suggestions.

The video shows replacing a current DLL file with one from last year - the key issue being that the files found in the Bridge and Photoshop folders are DIFFERENT. Why would this be? I checked a PS CS5.1 installation myself and the files are already the same. Is there an illegitimate copy of Photoshop being used or something, causing these files to differ? -Noel

Why won't files open or save in email

I have been trying to open some important files that were emailed and they won't open. I am getting the blue and white pop up asking if I want to open or save and it won't let me do either. It did this the other day and somehow I finally got it open after shutting down the computer. Tried that this time and it won't work. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling adobe. It did not work. There is also an online website I use to complete and upload PDF file documents and it won't work either. What has happened? How do I fix?

Why won't files open in the space that the application is assigned to?

I have applications assigned to specific spaces, however, if I am in space 2 and I click to open an Adobe Illustrator (assiged to space 3) file, spaces will send me to space 3 but the file window will open in space 2 (where I was). I have to use F8 to view the spaces and drag it over to the assigend sapce. If i try to work on it in spaces 2 (where it opened) my pallets are blank. Any ideas?
