    I have a Samsung SIII and will be traveling out of the country. Do I need to get a micro SIM card instaslled for international ?  I was told Verizon has them free for customers but that it needs to be "sert up". Also, are there alternatives to going through the verizon data plan (which is very expensive.
    Thanks

    Your phone already has a micro SIM card in the device so it can connect to the VZW network. You will need an international plan from VZW if you intend to use that SIM card. Otherwise you can get a new SIM card from the local carrier and setup the phone for global use with a separate APN with that carrier's specific information.

  • Is there any commercial support for LCCS services? What are the associated SLAs

    Hi,
    Following are some queries regarding LCCS.
    Is there any commercial support for LCCS services? What are the associated SLAs of the support and the cost?
    Can I Using applications developed using LCCS for commercial purpose?
    Does Adobe allows its LCCS service customers to offer applications developed using LCCS API for 3rd party commercial usage.
    Thanks & Regards
    Amit

    Hi,
    We were selling LCCS to enterprise customer under a different licensing program, but have since stopped the sale of that.

  • I have an iphone 5 w/hot spot but am traveling out of the country. If I turn off cellular data

    I HAVE AN IPHONE 5W/HOT SPOT VERIZON PLAN AND AM TRAVELING OUT OF THE COUNTRY.
    IF I TURN OFF CELLULAR DATA AND DATA ROAMING TO AVOID DATA FEES, IT DISCONNECTS MY HOT SPOT.
    IS THERE A WAY TO TURN DATA OFF AND STILL UTILIZE HOT SPOT?

    Hi Friend,
    If you turn off Cellular Data you are unable to use hotspot.
    But you can turn on Airplane Mode and them turn on Wifi, then you can use Wifi wherever you are with Wifi connection. But remember, if you turn on Airplane mode, it automatically turn off your Wifi, so you need to trun on it again,
    Hope it will be helpful

  • How I can use my galaxy II only for camera and wifi while I am traveling out of states without any extra charge?

    How I can use my galaxy II only for camera and  while I am traveling out of states without any extra charge?

    i think you can put the device in airplane mode then selectively turn on wifi...
    before you travel you could try this and check your cellular usage on the settings ! mobile data display. you might be able to turn mobile data / cellular radio off that way as well.

  • What are other good desktop calendars for mac besides iCal?

    I hope I'm not being inappropriate asking this question in the iCal forum...but I'm switching over from my palm desktop calendar and try as I might, I just don't like the iCal calendar. I don't find it user friendly. I find it clunky. The Todo list doesn't work for me. Naming an event has too many steps involved.
    Interesting, because I like the address book app, but not iCal.
    Does anyone have any good ideas? Sunbird on Firefox was even more complicated.
    I want easy to use and easy to read and very easy to look up quickly.
    Oh, the reason I'm switching from Palm to something else is because my palm died of course and I just got an iPod Touch so I would love to end up with something that syncs with Mac desktop and my iPod Touch.
    Thanks,
    Myles

    I am currently researching this problem but need some help with it too. I have been a faithful mac user for 14 years and have learned to love the easy interface, attractive screens, colorful graphics (of events), plentiful fields (address book) and feature rich palm (formerly Claris) calendar and address book.
    When I encountered ical and address book, I found that the features were clunky, the customized fields more limited and the whole interface less adept. I kept to the Palm. As of May 10, 2009, I have and ipod touch. I have proved often to myself that the ical and address book format won't work for me. I can't even import some of the fields I use often for my business.
    If you hear of improvements to the current software, a new app that has both a desktop and ipod app, or discover a way to sync the touch to the palm software I am eager to make my ipod more functional as a personal manager.

  • Traveling out of the country, can I use a converter to charge

    We will be traveling throught Europe and I want to be sure that I can charge our family's 2 iPod touch devices using a regular travel converter.  I know you cannot use a standard converter for a laptop but what about our iPods

    You can use the standard charger for 110/220V 50/60Hz.  You do not need a converter, only an adapter to convert from the US flat prong plug to the plug shapes of the country you are in.  They are only a dollar or two each.

  • What's a good way to do this?

    I'm an old C programmer learning Java. As an exercise, I'm writing a
    fairly simple astronomy program, and one of the things it needs to do is
    to convert between two different coordinate systems, (altitude, azimuth)
    and (hour angle, declination).
    As it happens, it's possible to write a single conversion function that
    works in both directions. In C, the prototype might look like
    void convert( double latitude, double fromX, double fromY,
    double toX, double toY );
    and I could call this two different ways.
    convert( lat, alt, az, &ha, &dec );
    convert( lat, hr, dec, &alt, &az );
    Is there an elegant way to implement this in Java? Everything I can
    think of feels kinda kludgy and slow (convert() can easily be called
    millions of times).
    I know I could represent the coordinate pairs as double[] and have
    public static void convert( double lat, double[] from, double[] to )
    but I'm not real happy with that. I'd have to use double[] in the rest
    of the program, which would mean things like
    star[ i ].EqCoord[ 0 ]
    star[ i ].AACoord[ 1 ]
    instead of the more concise and self-documenting
    star[ i ].ha
    star[ i ].az
    Or I could wrap the calls to convert() with something like
    double[] result = new double[ 2 ];
    convert( lat, star[ i ].alt, star[ i ].az, result );
    star[ i ].ha = result[ 0 ];
    star[ i ].dec = result[ 1 ];

    Thanks kglad! I think I'm getting the logic looking at a
    number of examples.
    Would I head in this direction?
    onClipEvent (load) {
    moveTo(ball_mc._x,ball_mc._y);
    _root.onEnterFrame = function(){
    lineTo(ball_mc._x, ball_mc._y);
    lineStyle(3, 0xee3355, 100);
    Or this direction:
    onClipEvent (load) {
    /* x & y co-ordinate for the movieclip code.*/
    x1 = _parent.ball_mc._x;
    y1 = _parent.ball_mc._y;
    moveTo(x1,y1);
    lineStyle(3, 0xee3355, 100);
    onClipEvent (enterFrame) {
    lineTo(_parent.code._x, _parent.code._y);

  • What's a good way to handle this conversion to a QUAN field?

    Good day everyone,
    I developed an RFC that receives data from XI.  I assign this data to a BAPI, and one of the fields is a field with a data type of QUAN(length 13, decimals 3).  All works fine if XI passes me a numeric value in this field.
    Here's the problem:  In running some test cases through XI and into the RFC, we ran a test case where the quantity field had a value of "test" (e.g. no numeric value).  Incredibly, XI transforms the text value of "test" into the value of 4534 and sends it to my RFC.  So my RFC thinks everything's fine when, in fact, that number was derived from a text field and is completely wrong.
    What we need to do is change the field to something that will "kick out" in XI when it tries to call my RFC.  I thought I could change it to a type of NUMC, but that doesn't let me use decimals.  We've already sent out the file layout to vendors, so we expect them to include numeric values with decimal places if need be.
    Is my best bet changing this to a character field with a length of 17, then checking to make sure it consists only of 0-9, a space, or a decimal?  I then need to assign it to the BAPI's field with the data type of QUAN(13,3) -- am I going to have issues trying to do this from a character field?  Do I need to worry whether or not they include a decimal (it might be implied -- in other words, they might just say quantity is "20" which becomes "20.000" to the BAPI).  Is there a nifty routine I can use to do all this easily?
    Thanks everyone.  Points awarded as always for ALL helpful answers.

    Ravi, that's kinda what I was thinking, but if it's true (i.e. a proper amount) can I just move the contents directly to my QUAN field?  Will SAP automatically do the conversion for me such that it ends up in the right place?  I've yet to have to worry about such conversions -- this is the first time I've had to deal with it -- and I want to make sure that the right value gets assigned, whether that value is "20", "54.1", "1000.25", or "986.500".

    Yes, you can use a US Skype Number while you're out of the country.
    Even if you're overseas your friends and relatives can call your US Skype Number at local rates. When they want to call you, simply sign in to Skype and answer the call when it rings – and you pay nothing to answer the call.

    You don't need to unlock your iPhone if you want to use it abroad. There's roaming
    If, however you want to insert a SIM card in another country, you should contact your provider. Every provider has it's specific rules for unlocking so I can't give you a general answer
