Hey, what the.... new warranty extension?????!?!?

I was just reading around and I found a post by some kid that said the ZMs with the headphone jack problem has the service warranty extended to one year... is there any legitimacy in that?!?! (please say yes)
Anyway, I think it has something to do with these so called "limited edition" ones. Since you get an extra battery, do they purposely sabotage you by giving you a messed up ZM? Maybe they already manufactred the messed up ones and were too cheap to recall and remake them, so they give you an extra battery...
If this is true, then there is hope for a returning customer after all...

As per the warranty page,

So does this mean 2 months or 3 months? Well, read Creative's warranty FAQ and decide for yourself. But to me it looks like Creative will replace your unit within 2 months of purchase if it is from a faulty headphone jack... but I could be wrong.Message Edited by LeecherX on 03-29-2005 0:46 PM

select image from search,
once image has been selected and enlarged you may tap/hold select
then options will appear...then 'save image'

If you've already had extended Applecare, you can't extend it again. If you buy Applecare online from Apple, you can purchase and register it in one fell swoop - there's no need to transfer anything.

Please be aware, the concept of a "Package File" is bit geeky at first, but since Logic is using this type of file format, it is important for any Logic user to understand what it is. Especially the way Logic provides different options and the way it lables those options can be very concusing. For example, when you choose "Folder" instead of "Package", then your Logic Project File is still a Package File, just the Project Assets are not stored inside that Package File, everything else is. As I said, it can be confusing if you don't understand the underlying concept (which I explain in great detail in my book "Logic Pro X - How it Works")

Can someone explain what the new feature "Webform Security" is for?

I notice there is a new field called "Webform Security" which inserts { module_ccsecurity ] into the form code but I have no idea what this is for and there is no reference to this module in the knowledgebase.

Log into your bank, stay logged in and open a new tab. Then visit another site on the internet.
Now lets pretend that on this other site, someone (like the site administrator or a commentor) included a link that pointed to a url such as http://www.YourBank.com/TransferMoney?FromAccount=12345&ToAccount=54321&Amount=1000 and then you clicked the link, the bank would think you were making a legitimate transfer request becuase you were still logged in.
Fair enough, but you probably wouldn't click that link because you're smarter than that. Unfortunately your browser isn't so smart, and it doesn't have to be a link. They could have included an image tag, or css style sheet or javascript file that pointed to that url and your browser would have automatically "clicked" the link on your behalf when it tried to download the resource.
Thats CSRF in a nutshell.
There are ways to mitigate this danger, but its up to site owner (the bank in this example) to make sure this can't happen. As an end user it's mostly out of your hands. This tag appears to be BC's way to mitigate this, and it appears to be similar to other soultions to this problem.
I don't know if it works though, it's not docummented, so your guess is as good as mine. Either way its probably a good idea to include it on your forms.

Can I find out what the New Features are for Updates?

When the Application Manager says an Update is available, as far as I can see so far, it just says New Features. Is there a web page that will give more details about what features etc. each update will provide? The Application Manager is not showing file sizes AFAICT, and that's a consideration regards timing when you live in rural New Zealand.
Ahhhhh... hang on a moment. Just remembered that I had to download the Photoshop CS6 update manually after a U44M1P7 error, and I still have that page marked:

Not completely sure how this happened, but daughter changed my apple ID name, password, and email address 2 days ago and I can't find an easy way to undo this. And I don't know what the new info is. Any suggestions?

All I have is the email from Apple informing me about the change to my account, but without any specifics. And my daughter doesn't know what they are So I went and created a "new" account using all my original information, even keeping my password the same, but I'm still considered a "new" account and my ITunes Match can't be accessed, nor can I see any of my past purchases.

To change the iCloud ID on your device you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password to turn off Find My iPhone when prompted, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use.

I have a new icon displayed on my Blackberry 8800 (top left hand corner, near the GPRS icon). The icon looks like a globe and has a number at the side. The number was originally 3 and has now changed to 4? I was wondering if any one has a clue as to what this mean? I have been through the user manual to no avail.
Any advice would be much appriciated !

I believe is a wap push message, they are caused because you are in a internet page and loose the connection, or something similar.
Go to the main message folder, press menu, view folders, wap push messages and clear it.

I can't restore my data from my iphone5s or ipad to my new iphone6, because it woulkd seem that none of the available backups from icloud are compatible with iOS 8.0.2, which is what the new iphone is running. (or so it seems).

Just received my iphone6, as my iphone5s gave up the ghost. Completely. I now want to restore everything that I had on my old phone to my new new one using icloud. However, when I arrive at the screen that asks you to select a backup version, it shows me a list, but then at the bottom of the screen there is a message that says that 'no icloud backups are compatible with the version of (8.0.2) on this iphone.' I also have an ipad, and both the 5 and the ipad were updated to 8.1. I did try to back up via itunes, but only got some of my photos's back and none of my messages, some of which had essential information on them. Anybody have any idea's? Any help gratefully recieved!

Your iPhone's iOS must be same or newer than the one in backups. In your case it is older so you need to update your iPhone and then recover it with backup.

Buy a newer iPod. No, it's not stupid, iPod touch 2nd gen can only go up to 4.2 due to hardware restrictions.

provdes access to iOS products is worthless.

It's a compatibility update to read files created by iWork for iOS 1.7, but it doesn't include features or anything else
