HFM App does not open after saving journals in managed server

Hi All
I have a HFM application on 11.1.2.3.500 version . We have ONLY native users and groups, when a user logs into HFM application we can open the app intermittently. If we follow below sequence
1. Open the application
2. Go to Manage Journals
3. Add journals
4. Modify members
5. Save it
Now it all happens fine here. After this I log out and then login , all I can see is Application loading screen. It stays like this forever.
It is happening to ALL users except for admin account.
We have applied 11.1.2.3.502 patch in the month of Dec.
I am suspecting it is something to do with cache but not sure which cache parameter should I look at DB , HFM ?

1. Check Database Status.
2. Did you cleared tmp files and restarted services post patching.??
D:\Hyperion\Middleware\user_projects\domains\EPMSystem\servers, in all folders delete tmp folders files.

Just had my laptop updated from windows 8 to 8.1, and I'm having the same problem now.
All windows updates are installed. Is there something else I should do?

I had this same problem on a new computer with Windows 8.1 which I received for Christmas. Skype for modern windows worked fine at first but after a Windows 8.1 update, Skype just flashed it's opening screen and then returned to the metro screen. Fortunately all this happened in a straight line sequence with no other intervening operations in between which of course strongly narrows down the causes.
After restarting, etc. with no luck, I looked at what was updated. Most of the updates were for MS Office however two were for Windows 8.1. I decided to uninstall these one at a time to see which, if any, had an effect. The first to be uninstalled was KB3003667 and bingo Skype worked again ! This update apparently involves adding additional support for other cameras and indeed some of the user comments on this issue involved a problem related to the camera. So check to see if you have this update installed and try uninstalling it.

How to re-install IOS Mavericks. My apple store app does not open

After using cleanmymac, my calendar app does not open. Neither does my apple store app. How can I reinstall Mavericks? Is there any other solution? I do not have a time machine backup. Thanks.

At startup hold down either the Option/Alt key to get a boot menu screen and select the Recovery HD or hold down the Command + r key to go directly to the Recovery HD. Then select Reinstall Mac OS X.

Project Online - web app does not open

Today my Project Online web app does not open. Error message is

Systeminformation.app does not open

Hi,
On both my iMac and my MBP mid 2009 the app does not open. The error code is -10810. I cannot find out what this error means and how to fix it. And why on both machines. I regularly, every two weeks fix permissions. And this problem has remained even before I installed Mavericks 10.9.4 a month ago on both machines.
And I cannot find anyone having mentioned this as a problem when searching the internet.

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.

The title of the Console window should be All Messages. If it isn't, select

First of all - you are running the proper iOS in order to use the latest version of Pages - correct? You need iOS 6 now.
If so ....See if this helps. Maybe Pages will open after you try this.
Quit the Pages app completely and restart the iPad. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar. Restart the iPad.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Or ..... Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
If that didn't help backup and send your files into iTunes with file sharing.

Pages app does not open on my iPhone 4

Pages app does not open on my iPhone 4 running iOS 5.01, touch the icon and it just returns to the home page where the icon for the pages app is. I have Pages on my Macbook and have uploaded docs to the iCloud. Phone iCloud is on. What am I missing?

AIR app does not open anymore after minimizing on windows

Hi guys,
I need some help in figuring out a strange issue I am facing.
I have an AIR app whih is minimizable. When I run it on windows XP and minimize it, it gets minimized. But
clicking on the task bar does not open the app anymore. The task manager shows that the CPU usage for the app has gone upto 50%
and it consistently stays over there with out recovering from it.
Right clicking on it and then trying it to close shows me the windows dialog: "the program is not responding".
MInimizing and re-opening works fine on MAC.
Anyone has ideas on what might be happening? Suggestions or pointers on how to debug this?

It turns out that in one of my UI components, the top level item was a VBox which was using a list of HBox components and the height of each HBox component was set to VBox height /5.
I modified the height to be set to "100%" for each HBox.
and everything worked fine.
I really do not know how it can cause the application to hang earlier.

Most of the default Mac Apps does not work after Mavericks Upgrade

Hi, I did everything, but nothing has brought me out of this misery .
I Updated Maverick just 2 days after its release. Had no problems, other then slow Finder. I restarted my iMac last week, and got caught with these issues, known to me, not sure what all bugs are there.
All these apps does not work: App Store, TextEdit, Preview, Terminal, iBooks, Maps, Calendar, Contacts, Mail, etc
I do not know how to do a clean install, as I had upgraded from Snow Leopord to Mountain Lion and to Maverick using App Store, which does not open at all.
Hoping to get some response soon from Apple support team to help me.
