HFM Insatllation Problem

Hi,
While Configuring the HFM 9.3.1 i getting the following error *" OracleOLEDBpus10.dll: The Specified Module could not be found."*. I have my database in another server. Just i have the Oracle client in this server where HFM is Going to configuring.
Please suggest me.

Actually i was installing Applilaction are in one server & Databases are in another server.
Here are the my products installing in application server.
1.Oracle Application Server 10g 10.1.3.1
2. Oracle 10g Client (For Creating UDL file for HFM)
OraLEDB10.dll
3. Hyperion Shared services
4. Adminstation server
5. Planning - EPMA
6. HFM
7. BI + (FR, WA)
8. Provider services
Before installing the OraOLEDB10.dll i am able to connect but after installing now i am not able to connect.
You said Uninstall every thing means do i need to do all 7 products?
I am deploying the products on Oracle Application server 10g 10.1.3.1. with SSL secure. Shared services is working fine.
Please suggest me..

Oracle Installer reads and executes many winzip files in the process of installation.
The error
" NOT A ZIP FILE(HEADER NOT FOUND)"
indicates that the problem is one of the zip files oracle installer wants to execute. The file may be corrupted or it may be residing on corrupt media.
Solution: Replace Oracle CD and Start again

FDM 11.1.2.1 register HFM adapter problem

Hi experts,
i have seen many post about this problem when connecting to HFM using FDM, but never when you register the adapter, that's why i post this.
Our environment is Windows 2008 R2 64 bit with FDM11.1.2.1 32x installed. We have imported the file FM11x-G5-E.xml from FM11X-G5-E_1005.zip that worked fine. when File > register > we picked fdmFM11XG5E.dll from D:\Oracle\Middleware\EPMSystem11R1\products\FinancialDataQuality\SharedComponents\AdapterComponents\fdmFM11xG5E
it returns error 53 - File not found error

Small update, Oracle support suggested Doc 1211618.1, done the steps, still having the problems. waiting for a web session with them.

Hyperion Insatllation problem

I have installed the hyperion Shared Services with the oracle application server. I manually configure the shared services with application server and done the post tasks sucessfully.
Created one OC4J Instance for shared services

There I have to take the Grand Total (155),It’s not the total for the column or the total for the row; it’s the total for all columns and all rows.
So,here we have to take the Total Count 155 to be divided by Count of individual.
I'm unable to get those 2 at a time in Calc part.

What version of the operating system are you currently running? (Go to the Apple menu and select About This Mac) My first thought is that you can't install it because you are trying to install an inappropriate update.

Batch Load Skip Files

I have a strange case of file being skipped when I am doing a batch load. We are loading historical data from Dec-2010 to Aug-2012. Data is split into one file per periode(month). What happens when I run the batch load script is that all files load perfectly, expect files containing data from May (2011 & 2012) and October (2011).
I have tried to run a batch with only the files from May and October and then batch process skips completly.
Is there any setting that might have been set that can cause this behavior or anything else that I should examine. Any help or clue will be much appreciated.

File name convention is kept and the content of the file are good, if I change May-2011 to Apr-2011 and thereby load May's data into April it works just fine. Have also tried renaming Apr-2011 file to May-2011 and then it is skipped as well. Manual import of the files that are skipped works wihtout problem.
When running just the files that are being skipped, I had the script write the count of files in the batch collection and that part of the process picks up the correct number of files, in this case 3, but then they are skipped in the batch execute step.
Can this have something to do with Metadata setting in HFM? Problem started after Metadata was changed in HFM and thus we had to load all historical data again. Before that it loaded fine to May and October. At least I don't remember having this problem before.

Smartview 11.1.2.1.103 problem: Merged cell in HFM workspace is unmerged in smartview

I have an error here in smartview 11.1.2.1.103. In HFM workspace, the form I designed has merged cell in row1. But I open the same form in smartview, row1 is not longer merged. Does anyone have the same problem?
PS: I've already set the option: excel formatting in smartview.

Or will there be a patch for 11.1.2.0 as well?

HFM Metadata Loading On-going Problem

Hi There,
We just migrated to HFM 11.1.1.3 from HFM 4.
We used to have an issue in HFM 4 where almost everytime we loaded metadata, the system would hang and become unresponsive. The load screen would just sit there without ever completing the load. You could still use the system but the metadata load would never actually load. The only thing that would resolve it would be to reboot all of the HFM application servers.
This happened to us again the other day but now we're on the new HFM 11.1.1.3. Again, the resolution was to reboot the HFM applications. We tried just restarting the services on the various servers but that didn't work. A full reboot was required.
And nothing was wrong with the metadata itself as it quickly loaded without errors into our DEV and QA environments. As well, we kicked all of the users out of the system prior to the metadata load. Most get out immediately and certainly no heavy calculations or consolidations are being performed during the metadata load.
Has anyone else experienced this issue? Should a reboot always precede or accompany a metadata load? Is there any recommendation as to how often you should reboot the Hyperion servers (monthly, quarterly, etc.) as good practice?

We are having a similar issue with version 11.1.2.0.0
We try to run an application metadata load from the client and we get an error message
Unexpected error: 80005005 occurred.
Running the load from the workspace, we receive the following message.

This is the second time we have encountered this problem. Oracle support was not able to determine the cause. The fix is to reboot the database server, but we are looking for insight to the problem. Note: Our current development environment is a single server virtual environment connected to a database server. We are planning to move to a more robust test environment with four applications and one database server in a few weeks.

I have an issue when I load metadata via ODI to HFM. I get this message:
Error code: 0x80040154 [Class not registered
com.hyperion.odi.common.ODIHAppException: Metadata load failed. Error code: 0x80040154 [Class not registered
After some search on the net I see that this is due to a patch which is already been installed(ODI 10.1.3.5.5). The HFMDriver.dll is renamed as HFMDriver32.dll and HFMDriver64.dll rename as HFMDriver.dll.

1. I have reversed the HFM application TestApp into target for ODI and everything seems fine in the operator
2. I have created a simple source flat file for the Account dimension
3. I have created an interface to the Account dim. and verified the mapping with no errors
4. The process stops when trying to Load the Metadata to HFM(Step 5 / of 7)
5. When I search the log I see the Error code: 0x80040154 [Class not registered]
Does anyone have any idea why the interface does not load the metadata?

This instructions given us by the support have fixed the problem on the first topic.
1. Unregister the adapter by opening the command prompt and changing the path to
C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\ RegSvcs.exe /u C:\Hyperion\products\FinancialDataQuality\SharedComponents\AdapterComponents\fdmAdapterCOMadmin\fdmAdapterCOMadmin.dll
and:
RegSvcs.exe /u C:\Hyperion\products\FinancialDataQuality\SharedComponents\AdapterComponents\fdmFM11xG5C\fdmFM11xG5C.dll
Please verify the correct path to the dll's before proceeding
2. Re-register the adapter using the 64 bit version of RegSvcs, C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v2.0.50727\RegSvcs.exe <PathToDLL> i.e. ..\Hyperion\products\FinancialDataQuality\SharedComponents\AdapterComponents\fdmFM11xG5C\fdmFM11xG5C.dll
N.B. Do not re-register the ComAdmin.dll because that is not a 64 bit component.
4. Open the FDM workbench and configure the adapter by right clicking the adapter -> Configure and re-entering the username and password.

Problem with EP 7.0 insatllation

Hi ALL,
1)     Our servers are IBM AIX 6.1 and P6 570
2)     Now I must install EP 7.0.
3)     What is my problem I am not having any experience in UNIX platform till now. But now I must install EP 7.0 on operating system AIX 6.1
4)     Can any one help me out in giving the steps or screen shorts for Operating system AIX 6.1 to install EP 7.0

I am the Basis consultant. Is that much of necessary to learn AIX server course because I am mostly considered with only the SAP activities.
Just to know how to start the AIX operating system and where and how to dump the SAP EP 7.0.
How to RUN the installation and the installation must be done perfect. That is my job.
Is that much of necessary is there to learn AIX administration.

Problem using default HFM URL

Hi,
I have installed HFM 9.3 on a Windows 2003 server and when I go t the default URL (http://serve/HFM) all I get is a blank page with 'hfm' in the upper left corner. IIS 6.0 is installed and set to allow .NET and ASP. I don't have any issues with Shared Services for user management.
Any help would be appreciated.

Try url http://servername:19000/workspace to run workspace and locate hfm through there. Of course you should first make sure that Reporting services components are properly installed and configured.

HFM Web connection problem

Having just created a new app HFM v9.3 i can access it ok on the client but when i try to open app on web version it will not open. when i made it the default app (when logged into my live app) it now just hangs with the hour glass when i try to log on. Is there something new i have to do to enable web access? i created app with own id, maybe it needed to be the server admin id?

Have you tried to register the application with Shared Services? This can be done from the workspace menu Navigate > Administer > Classic Application Administration > Consolidation Administration, then select Register Application, select cluster, application and a User Management Project from the drop-down and finally press the Register button.
If you have done everything we have described up to this point and still cannot open the application from the web, I assume it might be a user thing. We normally create HFM applications with the same user that we have installed Hyperion products on the server. This user must be in the local Administrators group of Windows server.

Planning, HFM Problem throught Worspace

I was intalled the Hperion Planning, HFM (both 9.3.1) in my server(windows 2003) and the Sharedservices & Workspace 9.3.1 also on the same server and deployed with Oracle Application Server 10g 10.1.3.1, I am able to open the workspace but while trying to create planning application or trying to open HFM application I am getting the error like
Please make sure that the Application you are trying to launch is registered with SharedServices.Shared Services must be running for the feature you are trying to access.Close the current browser window and try logging into workspace again after a little while.Contact your administrator for further information.
I have created the Projects undre the SharedServices and given the sufficiante privialges.

Hyperion S9 Planning
Hyperion S9 BI+ 9.3 Core Services 1
Hyperion S9 BI+ 9.3 Workspace
And maybe the essbase service, then try logging into the workspace and accessing planning, do you still get the message ?
