HFM Reconfiguration Errors

Hi
I am trying to reconfigure Shared services,HFM,BIUI since IPs were changed in the organisation.
I am facing the following error while opening application:
Required application module hfm.appcontainer is not configured. Please contact your administrator.
I ve configured with system name and ip also.
Can anyone help?

All I know is that multiple consolidations kick off by different users. They are consolidating at the same senario but different entities. But they need to see these consolidations rolled up to see their numbers.

  • Hfm.appcontainer error

    Hi,
    After configuring 11i for HFM I cannot connect to HFM via the Workspace. I get an hfm.appcontainer error. I would usually refer to the HFM.CONF file to rectify this but this file doesn't seem to exist with 11i. Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks

    I assume that you still have the first problem described in your first posting, i.e. that the HFM system described in your second point is reinstalled (and overwritten).
    So if you have tried my first suggestion and still you don't see the consolidations option in the navigate menu, then you may re-run the full configuration of Hyperion Reporting and Analysis. Make sure you select all the options (Register with SS, Product Options, Configure Database, Configure Financial Reporting, Deploy to Application Server and Configure Web Server). You will have to stop serveral services before you proceed, i.e. Workspace, Financial Reporting Web Application and Web Analysis, in order to release ports. After the configuration is complete, make sure to start the appropriate services (or even better restart your system to play it safe).

  • HFM service error.

    Dear All,
    I am using HFM 11.1.1.3 version.When I try to start "DME LISTENER" service,got the following error.
    "oraOLEDBPUS10.dll - The module could not be found" I can able to see this dll file in the following location "oracle/db1/bin/...dll".
    Any one could help me for this?
    Thanks in Advance

    Don't need to reinstall the oracle client just reconfigure the Oracle client (i.e Oracle service). now try connecting the oracle server from the client.
    If this doesn't work just restart the oracle service and the Hyperion services in the correct order.
    Hope this is helpful.

  • Register HFM Adapter Error

    have tried to register the target adapter for HFM (FM11X-G5-E) in FDM 11.1.2.1 I get an error message 76 Path not found? I copied the dll file into both the Adapters folder and SharedComponents folders. Does anyone know how to resolve this issue?

    Copy the entire "AdapterComponents" folder that was extracted from the adapter .zip file to the Oracle\Middlware\EPMSystem11R1\Products\FinancialDataQuality\SharedComponents directory
    Login to the application using the workbench client on the FDM application server
    Choose File > register adapter and open the SharedComponents\AdapterComponents\fdmFM11xG5E\fdmFM11xG5E.dll file

    thanks for replying..
    No this issue doesn't persists from Day one.We were able to do consolidation.
    There were a few updates to my system,I am mentioning them:
    Patch apply:
    1.Patch no:6880880-10.2 version for updating opatch version 10.2.0.5.1
    2.Patch no:9314073
    The above two mentioned patches are the prequisite to apply PATCH 10051655,,We havent applied this patch as of now ,because after applying patch no 9314073 we cant see the changes in workspace.
    Now once again to resolve our consolidation error we have applied the patch fix 11.1.1.3.50 but still there is no consolidation.
    Still it shows the same error.

    If you have your application built using MSAD, then you an load the file the way you built it above, however because you're using the NativeDirectory, you need to create the user in the Directory(HSS) first.  Once the user is created, you can then go through and use the .sec method to assign access/roles, but the actual user creation can't be done through a load file.
    One of the easiest reasons to understand why this can't be done is that when you load the .sec file, you're not setting up a password for the user.

  • HFM System Error (URGENT)

    Hi All,
    I am confronting an error in HFM 9.3.1. This is a system log error.
    The error is "*_Error: The maximum calculation limit of 5 was reached_*."
    I am unable to guess what the reason may be.
    I tried to go in Hyperion Reporting and search for any formulae error but was unable to find one.
    Can anyone please suggest what could be the possible cause of such type of error?

  • Average function in HFM returning error

    Hi
    I have written the following script in HFM calculate routine for calculation of averages. But it gives me an error.
    Has anyone used this function and can point out the error in this please?
    SUB SUBSaVG
    HS.EXP "A#AverageSales = " &Average ("A#Sales","3")
    END SUB

    As far as I know (still on HFM 4.X!), HFM doesn't have a predefined average function. You will need to define a new function in your rules as shown below. I got this from tech support a while back. The parameters are a little different to what you have in your example so you may have to tweak. Is the "3" in your example the period number?
    Function Average(strPOV,strFreq)
         DIM nPERIOD
         DIM strCUM
         DIM i
         If strFreq="PERIODIC" Then
              If HS.PERIOD.ISFIRST=TRUE Then
                   nPERIOD=1
              Else
                   nPERIOD=2
              End If
         ElseIf strFreq="YTD" Then
              nPERIOD=HS.PERIOD.NUMBER()
         Else
              EXIT FUNCTION 'Nothing to do -
         End If
         For i = 0 To nPERIOD -1
              If i= 0 Then
                   strCUM = strPOV &".W#PERIODIC"
              Else
                   strCUM= strCUM &"+"& strPOV &".W#PERIODIC.P#CUR-"&i
              End If
         Next
         Average = "(("& strCUM &") / "& nPERIOD &")"
    End Function

  • Sporadic HFM database errors

    We have recently upgraded to HFM 11.1.2.3. Every few days we get the errors in the HFM logs that says "Recreated the ADO Connection", "Table Already Exists ,BR." and "Failure occurred while executing InternalGetCalcStatusForAllBasePeriods, retrying operation" When this occurs users are not able to run smartview retrievals or FR reports. The HFM front end application while it typically opens up users cannot run anything in HFM. The only way to get HFM back up is stop all services, Kill connections to the HFM database (if any exist after the stop) and restart services. There is no issues with the back end sql server database as when the issue occurs I can connect and query without any issues. This has become a significant issue as users get interrupted in production when this happens. Oracle support has been of very little help. Any thoughts/ideas on where to look. Thanks in advance.
    ---------------------------Solution---------------------------------
    Finally after a few months of observation and trial and error we figured out the cause of this, with no help from Oracle support I must add. When we configured HFM we had upped the maximum pooled connections to 200 from the default 40. This was the cause of our issues. The Oracle doc says that this can be increased to 400 but obviously there is a bug somewhere with pooling more connections.

    Hi there,
    Have you also changed the Processes, Sessions and Open Cursors of the database?
    Regards,
    Thanos

  • HFM Rule Error

    Hi,
    My Account dimension is as follows -
    A#B - Parent
    --A#C - Child1 (Input)
    --A#D - Child2 (Input)
    --A#E - Child3 (Input)
    --A#F - Child4 (Shared parent member)
    --A#G - Child5
    --A#H - Child6
    Child5 and Child6 hold intermediate values
    Now I'm trying to calculate the following inside a data unit loop in the sub calculate
    (pseudo code)
    opendataunit ("")
    For i =0 to NUMitems
    Checks the UDA for every account
    If UDA is XYZ then HS.EXP A#G =A#G +Data (where Data contains the value returned in the data unit)
    elseif UDA is BQY then HS.EXP A#H = A#H +Data
    endif
    HS.EXP A#B = A#F - (A#C + A#D + A#E) -A#G +A#H (problem line)
    Next
    Now my problem is that the the rule file is on the second last line. After validation, returns an error saying A#B is an invalid destination. The dataunit loop runs fine and I have tested it by commenting out the second last line and run the calc.
    Could you please give me pointers as to why i could be getting this error ? I'm new to HFM so any pointers will be appreciated.
    Thanks in Advance!!

    Hi,
    In HFM, only a base member can be the destination of a calculation expression. A parent is always the sum of its children.

    you need to not use HFM 9.3.1.0.... (which was released in August 2007)
    assuming you have an oracle support contract, download and apply Patch Set Update 9.3.1.4 for HFM at a minimum or better still upgrade to 9.3.3 (July 2010) or an 11.1.2.x release.
    more information on this error is in KM 736125.1 in Oracle's support site.
